We were charged twice for the room. It took 3 visits to the front desk on 3 separate days before we found someone that was willing to fix the mistake. Thanks Verlilah! We appreciate you! Our bathroom door wouldnt stay closed so there was no privacy. They said they didnt have another room to switch us to, so we ended up having to rig the door in order for it to stay closed when anyone needed to use the bathroom. The pool was nice though.
Unfortunately, as much as we love our Marriott stays, this hotel needs improvement. Every experience we’ve had since 2018 involving hotel room, housekeeping, front desk service, onsite restaurant/bar, event planning, etc. has been a disappointment. The location is my favorite in Dallas-Fort Worth, so if that’s all that’s important, you’ll love the location. The hotel experience we can’t say the same.
Had a nice four days at this hotel. The girls at the front desk were amazing and super nice, helped me with a problem I had on my end. Kelly at the Bar was amazing! I will come here again.
Bartender Kelly was awesome!!! We’re local so we visit for a staycation every once in a while. We’ve been hit with outrageous paling charges since the turnover. When we’ve asked for help from management, we’ve only got attitude.
I didnt go to the Marriott but I attended a dance recital at the Convention Center. The walk from the multi level parking lot was easy. The challenges was finding the event I wanted to attend. Massive open space connecting the Marriott and Convention Center; easier to navigate once pointed in the right direction. Beautiful facility with multiple bathrooms and seating areas.
Positive: Beautiful building, great rate, and we were available to book same day check in. Plus when the tv didn¿t work, they quickly moved us to a new room! Negative: Would have been nice for breakfast to be included but we got such a great rate on the room is was worth paying for.
Positive: Cleanliness and modern Negative: I didn¿t care for the lack of interest of the gentleman behind the desk. His phone was more important and he was annoyed that I asked questions . Threw room keys on counter and gave no checkout instructions. Didn¿t say thanks for staying, nothing
Booked our room for an Anniversary getaway. Had issues right of the bat with our reservation. Our room was clean but had a broken cabinet and very few towels which I found strange. TV did not work and we were told it was out on the entire property. Could not find a menu for the restaurant located on the first floor to save my life. They required we pay for parking in a public garage. There never seemed to be enough staff and we waited many times for a long while before we could get drinks or food at the bar. Overall I was very unhappy. I expected so much more and everything seemed to just fall flat. We are not planning on staying here again.
Positive: The attendant remembered me from a previous stay which was remarkable. He was very helpful & knowledgeable about the events and operations of the hotel Negative: At this hotel, microwaves arent in the rooms which in my opinion was a bad idea to remove. Itd make warming up food a lot more convenient&easy.
Booked through Priceline two different nights . The place is nice but it will charge you twice! When the charge for your incidentles $25.00 thats how they get your card. And then at about 3am it charges you again. It was explained to me that this is standard procedure and that it would be refunded at checkout. Well 3 days later of my first stay it has not and now checking out again. So if you like letting someone else holding on to your money for multiple days. I call this theft. I have asked to see where I am authorizing this charge and they cannot produce that.
I took my daughter to a tournament one day at their convention center. I parked in their parking garage, which had no indication anywhere that there was a charge to park in i.e. no gate, no kiosk for a parking slip, no booth to pay, no indication whatsoever that there was a charge to use.I just received a parking charge for $80 for 8 hours parking from a collection company Parking Revenue Recovery Services. For that much money i wouldve gotten a cab.I guess if you feel like getting your chain jerked by these guys go ahead and stay there.I wouldve paid $10 or whatever the charge was, but there was nothing saying anywhere that there was a charge to park in this garage. Now I get a bill from some company in Aurora, Colorado for $80.
Attended the Convention Center for the Dallas Card Show and will be there for the next 2 days. Its a really nice facility and holds a very high number of people without feeling too crowded. The staff were polite and knowledgeable of the area. And the bathrooms were clean with Dyson hand dryers! Pretty nice set up!
Very clean, great staff, only problem was a remote with dead batteries. Got new ones but the back has to opened with some tool. Loved the bathroom!!!
Positive: This is a great hotel! Please keep it that way! Negative: Fee for parking
The hotel is very accessible from the highway and right across from a number of great restaurants and shops. The rooms are large and clean and the televisions are a bit larger than most hotel rooms. The pool area is gorgeous and a place perfect for sitting, lounging, and relaxing.
This hotel has great potential. Good location, nice property. Front desk agents were serviceable. Not at all engaging. The parking garage was littered and messy. The rooms were good. We love to stay there and I believe with the pandemic winding down maybe this place can rebound? Just needs a little attention.
We had a phenomenal experience at Delta Hotel by Mariott in Allen. The staff were friendly and went out of the way to serve us. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great!!
The room size was great, very comfortable, but a few issues that should have never had to experience. The coffee maker did not work, the entry hall light did not work nor the bed reading lights. Over it was nice but the overall rating is based on these findings.
We have stayed here a couple times and would recommend a stay to anyone.
Positive: Location nice rooms and staff Negative: NO problems
Clean rooms and common areas. The food here is very good. The bartender Kelly is a real gem.
Positive: It was nice. Negative: The bed and pillows was not very comfortable. The parking was not properly explained and the signs were confusing. Outside the room not even a complimentary cup of coffee. Then charge you, $3:25 for a cup. Really! Felt like cheap penny pinching.
Great hotel overall! Large clean and updated conference/convention rooms. Great rooms. Modern design everywhere with a nice bar in the lobby.I worked an event here and my team and I ended up getting stuck here during the Winter storm in February 2021. The staff were super helpful to insure we continued to have a good time in the mist of our unfortunate situation. We worked a lot with Andrew and Sarah who were absolute life savers. They were extremely professional and were able to move mountains to insure that not only my group, but the other guest enjoyed their stay.
This is a nice place. A good place for visitors to stay while in town or just a weekend get away for shopping and eating out.
Room was awesome! So was the pool! Service was great!
BEWARE!!!! If you don’t register your vehicle at the front desk, you will get a bill from a third party five days after you check out for $80 EACH TIME you leave the hotel. Absolutely ridiculous. I have stayed there 3x over the past 2 months, and once was 2 weeks before my stay last week. Obviously since the hotel changed their name since my stay two weeks ago now they charge to park in THEIR parking garage which is the ONLY option at this hotel and is attached to the hotel; but the front desk won’t say anything about that when you check in. The manager D’Angelo, was rude and indifferent when I called about this. Did not care to help at all, but rather told me there was a sign about it at the front desk. I don’t recall seeing any sign, and I’m pretty observant. The front desk clerk did not mention parking at all. Regardless, at check in, if we need to register our vehicles you have a duty to ASK. I doubt most people are walking to the hotel. I am not new to hotels, nor registering for parking either. I’m a lifetime titanium marriott rewards member for 14 years now and have stayed in marriott hotels all across the country, and never have I been treated like this. This is a complete SCAM. I put a claim in, and if this is not resolved I will NEVER stay at another marriott hotel.
I paid for the hotel on Priceline but was charged again by the hotel for the room. I went to the front desk and spoke with Jodie who informed me this happens a lot with inexperienced staff and stated the additional charge would roll off in 3 to 5 days. It has been nearly two weeks. The charge did NOT roll off, and I had to contact my bank to remove the charge as Delta does not answer the phone often. The best part of this stay was the attached garage and that is it!
Positive: Staff was so friendly and helpful. Negative: Felt like the a/c was being overridden at night. But it could have been the user.
Attended an antique car auction. Saw some beautiful older cars. Parking was FREE under two hours 😊
Positive: Clean comfortable room Easy parking Pool and outdoor area
Great hotel! Very friendly service. Vibrant area with alot to do!
Great convention center. Visited for the Dallas card show and had a great time. Lots of vendors and tons of product.
Positive: The event being held. Negative: The room was not clean. Towels were dingy. Bed spread was dirty.
Positive: I can¿t even imagine ANYONE not being thrilled with this choice. Negative: There was very little contact (almost none) with hotel staff. It wouldhave been a warm touch to have some friendly interaction.
Our stay was ok. Could of been better if staff cleaned rooms. Trash stayed out at our door the whole three days we stayed. There was also one person working in the restaurant and bar. Would of been better if these things didn’t exist.
The Card show was Excellent! Even with the Covid-19 a lot of people showed up from different States. Great to see old friends and new younger players becoming card collectors. Looking forward to tomorrows event! Good luck and take care everyone!
Great hotel. Friendly welcoming staff. Rooms are new and modern.
Positive: Room aesthetic. Free parking. Negative: After paying $--- for a 1 night stay, I was not expecting to be up all night due to a loud party happening above me. The walls are very thin & I got very little rest due to the noise.
Positive: Location and cleanliness Negative: None of the doors going outside had a key reader, so I had to use the the very front door that was away from where I had parked due to a full parking lot.
Positive: Parking access and shower Negative: Hire more bartenders and keep it open. Offer breakfast.
Positive: The Delta is a beautiful establishment. The art on way to the room was beautiful. The room was clean and fresh and lovely. Negative: The walk to our room was soooooooo long because of the car park situation.
Negative: They charge you to park in the parking garage. Why would you pay the hotel then pay to park in the garage?
Beautiful hotel. Beware of the homeless and thier dogs, sleeping in public bathrooms late night
Positive: 63% off the cost of the room. Breakfast, everything Negative: I do not like the fact that I can¿t afford to stay longer then I did.
Positive: Very clean overall. Comfortable beds with a large room. Quiet and a lot of parking available.
Positive: Location Negative: Your staff charged me $-- THEN..... another $25 for incidentals? Not acceptable and I will not stay there again
We recently stayed at the Delta Hotel by Marriott in Allen, TX while we played in a softball tournament. Our entire team stayed in this hotel so we had roughly 13 rooms booked for just our team. When I booked the room, I booked it for 3 nights, 4 adults. I also requested a roll out bed, an extra blanket and pillow, and extra towels during my booking. When we arrived for check in I asked about the roll out bed and was told that they don’t offer roll out beds, ok. When we got to our room there were no extra pillows, blankets, or towels. I called the front desk and was told to send someone down for them. I sent my girls down and they were told that there were no extra of anything. During our stay room service never came to our room. We had to call to get clean towels and rags. Each time we were brought 2 towels and 2 rags…keep in mind I booked the room for 4 adults. We all showered everyday after sitting out in the heat during games. As a group, we celebrated one of our players birthday on Friday evening. We had pizza and a cookie cake by the pool to celebrate. We had a cooler with sodas and water for the girls. Some parents bought alcohol from the hotel bar and some parents brought their own beer. We were approached by the bar manager who asked that we just try to keep the beer that we had brought discreet because it was TABC law that we couldn’t consume our own alcohol on premises. About 15 minutes later we were approached by another man who told us that we needed to pack all of our stuff up and take it back to our rooms. He said if we wanted any food or drinks that it would need to be purchased from the hotel, we could not have any outside food or drinks there. We asked if we could let the kids eat first then we would remove everything from the pool area. He responded with “you have 2 minutes to get all of this stuff out of here or I’ll just have you all removed from the hotel.” We did have a large group but we were in no way being loud or disruptive. Our girls were in the pool and keeping to themselves. We were eventually moved to a small room after asking to speak to the manager about the incident. The problem wasn’t removing all of our stuff, it was the way we were spoken to.When I went through my bill after check out, I noticed 5, $15 charges for upgraded internet service. When I looked through my Marriott rewards account it says that upgraded internet is complimentary. I did not call and try to argue with them about the additional charges for the internet because I just didn’t feel that it was worth it after the other issues that we had.We travel a lot for softball, baseball, and work conferences. This was my first experience with a Delta Hotel and will be my last. I will pay more to stay somewhere else from now on.
Bathroom door is right next to bed instead of a corner,, it opens straight to middle of the room. No lock to bathroom door. . It need to little private so u don’t disturb other persons in room.. bad design.. Parking is far from rooms. Staff not courteous.
Positive: Beautiful hotel. Negative: I have tried two different times with two different people to get a statement of my charges. No luck. Poor customer service.
Positive: It¿s a beautiful big building on the exterior and thousands of square feet and the inside yet the service and the set up is very comfortable. The staff asmakes it even better.
Positive: Very nice and clean Negative: Shower door handle falling off and the air unit did not have an option to run the blower fan continuously
Conventions are held at the hotel which will result in $80 fines for parking and attending the convention. Say away from this place. Pure scam in action.
Positive: I loved the shower & bathroom area. And the hotel room was impeccably clean. But it was small in comparison to other hotels. Negative: It does not have a microwave or useable ice machines on the assigned floor and theres a mini public kitchen on each floor that has microwaves & i believe a toaster oven but it is locked-up also. The hallways are tooo long. The staff was not friendly.
Staying here at this moment. The beds in this hotel are hard as rocks ....oh my goodness! I am in pain it feels like I slept on the floor. Room was clean. Workers not so friendly. You can tell the 5 th floor hallways do not get vacuumed you can see the trash through out the hotel in the carpet.
Very clean and nice hotel. Service was great.
Positive: Super clean and spacious! And the bed was so comfortable!! Slept like a baby¿¿
Freaking big, the bar is nice and staff is great.
There are no Lyft or Uber drivers available and there is no city shuttle to accommodate apartment hunters with a Service dog. Hotel charges deposits that are not auto-released. I stood outside in the cold for over two hours waiting for the third driver who didnt reject my Service animal or couldnt locate me.
Positive: Good location to what I needed and very nice facilities Negative: Loud TV in a room next door that woke me up about 12:30 am and It did not stop until around 3:00 am. Really thin walls !
Positive: The front desk clerk was super nice.I love staying here. Negative: Nope
Terrible service and waiters and waitress staff that dont speak EnglishCheap liquorsI will not recommend to hold any event
Great card show for my first one
Positive: Very accommodating Negative: Ice machines were off due to COVID...
Nice place to lay your head
Positive: Very nice hotel, new and extremely clean. The rooms are nice with comfortable furnishings. The streaming options on TV are nice too. While across a busy road, it is walkable to a nice restaurant and entertainment area. The lobby area is very nice. Negative: Much has changed and pandemic changes are understandable. Know there are currently drastically reduced pool and bar hours. While we did like floor from the garage, I can’t understand why there is a $10 charge for parking at a suburban hotel
Nicest hotel ive been at ..amazing shower too and parking garage...no breakfast but dennys close by
They dont answer the phone!! At all! This is crazy! Otherwise, great hotel!
Positive: Big room Negative: Parking, walking distance
Positive: It was new. Negative: I was put far away from parking and right next to the ice machine. The bed was way too firm and the pillows were useless.
The hotel and the staff at the Allen, TX location made my stay as comfortable as possible when we retreated there during #snowpocalypse2021. Not only did they welcome me and my children but they also welcome our pup. They had hot coffee, bottled water and hot food when everything else around us was closed. They gave us one less thing to worry during a time where anxiety was high.
I loved how beautiful and well designed this hotel actually is! However, the customer service is not the best. I spoke to a manager named Bryan who came across as very rude and seemed to not care the happiness of his customers. I would love to stay here again but this hotel needs better management.
So far we haven’t even checked in. We asked the front desk how long the wait would be to check into our room and Richee showed us the list of names aggressively, showing confidential guest names and phone numbers, to assertively tell us our name was next on the list. He was rude and unnecessarily aggressive, as all we asked was how long the wait was. I don’t even care how clean the room was, the front desk experience was horrendous.
Positive: Brand new hotel. Negative: A bit if a hike from parking garage to room. Room was new and stylish, but bedding was coarse and thin.
Positive: Location & price Negative: Very dirty everywhere! Hallways bar/restaurant area- bartender was horrible! parking garage elevators trashes overflowing in garage(never emptied whole stay) trash/broken glass -parking The door&handle to my room gross! Hair by the cups in room
Attended a school dance competition here. Facilities were very accommodating, and common areas quite nice.
Positive: The Customer Service was amazing!
First time at one of the Delta Hotels by Marriott - its a great hotel - very clean, great customer service, great access to the Watters Creek restaurants for pick up, dine-in or delivery in addition to the hotels own in-house options -
Positive: Very comfortable bed and room was nice. Negative: Had to go to the lobby to get any ice. It was a very long way from my room. They should let you know when you check in or give you ice then so you dont have to trek down halls and elevators for some ice. Irritating.
Positive: Comfortable and great location. Always my go-to hotel. Negative: No
Use caution when booking a Room at this hotel. I always use Expedia to book rooms for the points I can accrue and not be tied to a specific chain. I have NEVER had a room cancelled before. When I went to checkin last night, I had no room and the front desk clerk said Expedia canceled but Expedia said the hotel canceled it because it was full. No one notified me and Expedia still showed on their end that it was confirmed so I think the hotel is to blame. No apologies or accommodating. So we were stuck, at 9:00 at night, with two kids and a 7am soccer game the next day and no where to stay. Everything was sold out in the Dfw area. I can’t believe a “hospitality” company lacks any hospitality. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. A simple courtesy phone call, email, text, anything would have saved a lot of heartache and lost sleep.
Positive: Location and atmosphere Negative: No microwave
Very nice hotel and clean friendly staff.
Positive: Location and room was clean Negative: Staff. They were not helpful at all. Trying to check in, was IGNORED by a staff member behind the desk, didnt tell me someone will be with you shortly, nothing. The other staff member was on the phone. Rude.
Very nice stay. Clean, modern, and friendly.
Positive: Parking garage access, great food in the restaurant, exceptionally clean, and pet friendly.
The rooms were amazingly cozy! Two problems was they never cleaned our room and we stayed for 4 days not once did they knock to see if we needed cleaning. Twoooo they don’t serve breakfast or lunch you kinda gotta starve yourself or go out and buy food or buy those little sandwiches they have in the to go store inside the hotel but if not you gotta wait till 5 pm when they open up the kitchen I understand there’s still Covid but at least have some kind of breakfast/lunch TO GO. Other than that I liked the rooms and how they accept pets! Would I stay here again? Mmm maybe but I hope they improve their cleaningness and improve the breakfast/lunch.
Positive: Nice large clean rooms Negative: long walk from parking garage to room
Love this place. I only go for the card shows
Positive: Clean, comfortable, and very nice staff members. Negative: No it was great.
Positive: Location and amenities Negative: Awesome place to stay
Positive: The salt water pool is a great size for distancing and very relaxing! The staff was very friendly. New-ish property was modern and clean. Also, great food and shopping options across the street. Negative: N/a
Excellent temp on the shower. Room is relaxing.
Fantastic hotel and staff. And the Chef was amazing. The wedge salad so delicious - I had to try really hard to not lick the plate.
Excellent facility for any type of engagement, recreational or business. Sarah at the front desk was exceptionally nice & helpful. No other place to stay in Allen, TX compares.
Positive: The staff was welcoming and accommodating during a very stressful time.
Positive: Clean, friendly, safe hotel Negative: No
Stayed two weeks in December 2020 for work.Convient location. Easy on and off the access road to Hwy 75, north and south. Very clean room. Kurieg coffee maker. Only medium roast available. Large desk area. Closet rather narrow (ok, I had 2 weeks of clothes). Only 1 large drawer for clothes (built into desk). The dorm room sized fridge is basically useless. You have to turn it on for a quick chill that lasts 2 hours. Therefore it will not keep anything cold.Hotel is new and is attached to a Convention Center that Marriott also owns. Parking is in an attached garage. There were very few others staying on hotel during my stay.
