I had the best hotel experience Ive ever had at the place. I stay in hotels a lot and some pretty fancy ones at that. This place was the best. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The Watters Creek area is really nice. The hotel staff was so nice and helped me out with some personal issues that came up while I was here. The pool area is fabulous.. The restaurant/bar was fabulous. Thanks guys, Ill be back for sure
Perfect for us! We came here with a large wedding party and guests. Beautiful Hotel, with lovely spaces for gathering, rooms for pre and post wedding events and a restaurant with a courtyard too! It was a great location with convenient restaurants, did a brunch at Kelly’s next door. The staff was all very helpful and Aimee and Donovan especially were the best!!
Rooms were nice and clean, but lacked proper amount of lighting so they were too dark. Bathroom fan wasnt working, in multiple rooms. Mirrors were located only in the bathroom and not in the room area compared to other hotels Ive stayed before,, so its hard for multiple people to get ready at the same time. Service was great though.
Positive: The hotel was great Negative: I was unaware that the option to pay later did not apply and it really inconvenienced me.
Inconsistent staffing. Called and requested to have a room cleaned when I arrived back at the end of a long day the room had not been touched. Called the front desk this staff stated they DO NOT CLEAN THE ROOMS. Bed was hard and when I requested additional mattress padding I was told they didn’t have any. This more is not in full operation understaffed and bar and restaurant not open as indicated online. For 136 $ a night I expect better. Some staff were great however this did not make up for the overall quality of the experience. Will not return.
I am giving this hotel 2 stars because the bartender and desk people were pleasant. The room was not cleaned properly, there were long hairs all over the room. The shower was not cleaned properly from the previous guest since the old soap was still there. The sofa bed had dirty sheets and blankets from the previous guest. And the mattress felt like sleeping on a wooden board.
There was good and bad. As far as the room it was very clean and very quiet. However, parking is a nightmare. There is very little parking at the hotel and an event center next door. The only parking available was on the top of a garage across the street and the elevator was broken.
Positive: Staff was prepared for us immediately upon arrival. Check-in was very quick! The room was wonderful!
Positive: The employees were always positive and concerned to endure the best stay possible for me. Negative: N/a
Lovely place to reside when in Dallas area, very comfortable with great customer service 👍
Room was amazing and comfortable. The bartender was the absolute best!! He made my night. Fun and energetic and knew exactly what drinks to make, even though i had no idea.
Very Clean. Great AtmosphereLoved It!
We stayed here for a wedding. The water pressure is a trickle. I am a big guy, and the bed didnt even budge. Sleep number like 199. The pillows felt like they put soft golf balls in them. We got a room with a balcony so i could smoke. Great chair out there! Only good comment. Some kind of stain on the front of the closet, white liquid streaks down it. Lifted up toilet seat to #1 when we first got there pee all over.
Negative: not a good breakfast selection. the bistro is limited. and really nothing with a good choice within walking distance. would prefer continental breakfast or to pay for buffet options.
Positive: Excellent location and always clean. Negative: Nothing...
First of all the parking is ridiculous. The bed was hard. The wifi didnt work and I was charged extra for it. They dont clean the room daily its only cleaned when you check out. I had to call the front desk for towels. No continental breakfast and the price for breakfast was $12.99 each person. Paid $5.00 for two bottles of water. To top it off people walking around with dogs. Never again goodbye and good luck.
Staff is always so friendly! The rooms are spectacular from the view out the window of Fairview to the level of cleanliness.
Great place to rest up. Has great shopping, restaurants and grocery stores in one place.
Really nicely done hotel. Location is close to the station, beautifully styled rooms and quality fittings. Reasonably priced too.
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the size of the room, they are on the smaller side. But other than that they were very welcoming and professional.
Loved this hotel but their hot tub is gone
Positive: Location Negative: Double billed. Just a hassle, but has been resolved.Restaurant was closed. No breakfast, lunch,or dinner available. One coffee serving in the room.
So thankful for them. No power at home and people are trying to find a warm place for themselves and their pets. Great people here. So, so thankful.
Positive: Good location. It was quite. Normally lots to do close to the hotel. Negative: There was white powder all over everything. Im assuming it was cleaning solution, but it was on the bed, TV, fixtures. Also, it did not have a hot tub like advertised.
Well kept .. beautiful friendly
Positive: The balcony Negative: Just the fact that I know its covid as to why no one came and cleaned the room. But thats all understood
Very welcoming staff, clean place, and convenient location.
Amazing hotel and staff are extremely friendly and helpful
Great help from the front desk, quiet, clean, close to everything!!
Positive: Location & the balcony to the room. Negative: Didnt like that the restaurant wasnt open for dinner. Other than that it was great.
Great location, great rooms, staff is always super friendly
Positive: You can not hear cars. Negative: No free beer¿¿
My second favorite hotel in town. So professional and great in customer connection. Thanks to the guest services rep that checked me in last night. I will return.
Great place friendly stsff
Very nice room, well organized and the shower is great. Could put the family in it.Will stay here again...KS
The room was nice. Pretty decent we had the balcony suite. No linen for the bed and the sofa and seat had stains on it. The food was terrible... My cheesecake had a net on it so and if tasted like it had been in the fridge with old food and that was before I noticed the net...gross! My breakfast was not worth the breakfast package. I thought the breakfast ended at 10 but anyways they gave me a breakfast sandwich instead and Im not sure who they feed this mess too it was absolutely frozen and the bacon look really old in comparison to my daughters piece of bacon... Im going back on the 18th for my daughters birthday and Im kind of dreading it more than looking forward to it honestly. Think I should cancel the breakfast and bring my own food
Love! Best Marriot I have stayed at in a long time. Sweet, attentive staff. Immaculately clean.
It is a nice place to stay!
Nice rooms, staff very nice. Price is resonable.
Positive: The staff was nice Negative: no
Positive: Nice decor nice location Negative: Air conditioners are old and don’t work well. Maintenance guy came and changed filter and that helped a lot. They should change filters regularly. We moved rooms once and had the same issue.
Nice rooms and clean. Nice balcony with view.
Clean rooms. Nice staff. Heater worked and power stayed on.
Positive: Everything!!
This hotel is an amazing place with a conference layout planners only dream of! Its very conducive to attendee interaction, all the space is located just off the lobby. The banquet service team was the best Ive ever worked with. The overnight rooms were spacious and lovely. The proximity of great dining and shopping cannot be beat. This hotel will become my Dallas home for conferences because they exceeded every expectation of mine (which is hard to do). The catering team was very helpful. I cannot shout loud enough about this hotel and the experience we created for 175 nurses and exhibitors!
1st room a/c was very noisy. They switched us to another room with a quiet a/c but it also took a while to cool the room. Beds are just so so, could use a mattress update. Just an average Marriott. Nothing special here. Location is great if you like to be around busy shopping!
Positive: The location is outstanding. I’ve stayed here before and was very pleased. Negative: No complementary breakfast. The buffet they offer is expensive.
Excellent Stay.
Great location. Very close to shopping and dining but the hotel itself needs some updating. The rooms feel dirty. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was hair on my bathroom towels & on the nightstand when I arrived. Oh and my TV kept mysteriously shutting itself off.I checked out early & went to another hotel.
Updated lobby and common areas, but the modernization ends there. In room window units, shower heads, and mattresses produce a sense of motel 6 nostalgia circa 1990.I would rate 1 star, but the staff are great - the only saving grace. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. If only the same could be said of the management of an establishment so clearly overpriced given the sub par quality of accommodation.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location in Allen, TX! Too expensive for the amenities offered. The room was nice and comfortable. Thermostat was easy to manage. Room darkening curtains were a plus. Bathroom was a good size but the toiletries were minimal, i.e. shampoo and conditioner were the size of a thimble, linens provided were scarce and had to request more towels. Would have enjoyed a complimentary coffee bar but paid Starbucks downstairs each morning.Me and my hubby had to pay $ ea. night to park onsite at the hotel. There was free parking across the street in a parking garage. Cold and rainy conditions made this less appealing. To conclude, for the price paid for the hotel stay it was NOT worth it. A lot of other hotels nearby!
Had a great 3 night stay. Rooms were clean. Hotel is beautiful inside. Plenty of lounge areas in the lobby. Staff was friendly and even offered bottle water to those waiting in line to check in. Indoor pool area is larger than most (but currently needs a good cleaning). The parking situation is confusing. They want you to pay for onsite parking but there is no parking pass or identifier to show you paid? Parking in the garage next door was free and close to lobby entrance. Tons of restaurants close by including a Paradise Bakery Cafe next door. Hotel is next door to the Allen Event Center.
Excellent experience. Beautiful place.
Positive: Great Location and fantastic employees
Amazing place with fantastic staff.
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room was elegant, balcony was nice and the service was impeccable. An indoor swimming pool that, I unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of, looked very welcoming. The location, though, was very well panned. You have a little bit of everything in walking distance. If we ever come to stay in Dallas again I will definitely be looking here first.
Great location and has been a complete 5-star stay! The conference location with a local corporation that continues to impress and support our needs. From Faith at the service center to the bistro staff, all contact has been professional, friendly, and very accommodating. Another viable return option in the future.
Positive: This was a great place to stay. Room and staff were wonderful. It was walking distance to many restaurants
My overall experience of this hotel was great. I would recommended this hotel highly. The staff and the stay was great and service was prompt and hotel was very clean. It is in a very good spot close to many restaurants and close access to shopping. The event rooms were good and the food that was prepared was great. Thank you all at the hotel for your hard work !
The Courtyard was a nice, clean hotel. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. The elevators ran smoothly (this has been an issues at other non-Marriott hotels weve stayed at for gymnastics competitions). We like that the Marriott brand is consistent so we know that staying at a Courtyard overall should be a good experience.
My overall experience was good. Rooms are good/clean and the breakfast has enough choices. Staff was friendly and helpful.Great location, easy access to the shopping & restaurants around the area. They have an average parking area. Parking is always an issue if arriving late however.
I recently stayed at this hotel. The lobby area was beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We got to our first room, and the smell was very mildewy and it was very hot. I figured I just needed to turn the air down. I gave it a good three hours and it was still very hot in my room so I requested a room change. No big deal. The staff had no issues and I got a new room immediately. The new room smelled much better and the AC worked well. However, I noticed the top layer of bedding had stains on each bed. I know hotels generally dont wash those so I took them off and was fine. It wasnt until I pulled the covers back that I noticed the bed had a rather large brown spot on the sheet. I decided I could not stay at this hotel. Also, the shower water was backwards. The hot was cold and the cold was hot. This was not a factor in my decision to leave but it was an inconvenience. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
Great place clean
My kids and I stayed here over the weekend, the room I booked was a bit small for the 3 of us, I booked it, so it was my fault for the size, it could have accommodated us adequately, however it would have been a bit cramped. I requested larger accommodations, the fantastic woman at the front desk found us something quickly and without any hassle. She handle my request with grace and civility, made us feel like we were important and her focus. She was busy too and handled it with ease. I didnt get her name, but her simple gesture helped make our weekend stay outstanding.
My wife and I always stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, in Allen. We come to visit our precious granddaughter Abby. We are able to come 4-6 times per year. We choose to stay at the Marriott for several reasons. First, it has a wonderful location with excellent shopping all around the hotel. There are also numerous restaurants to choose from that are within walking distance. Next, the cost is very reasonable and the accommodations are clearly 5 star in quality. Overall, this is one of the best values I have ever found in hotel offerings!!
Positive: The location was great, overall cleanliness Negative: The shower needs some maintenance.
Thought the drinks were just a little to experience. $20 bucks for a glass of wine and a beer. Thats why I went and bought my own bottle of wine for what I paid for in a glass in wine and I was not the only one. The bar did not even have what I wanted and I was not the only lady who wanted Moscato or White Zinfandel. Appetizers would also be nice to have as setting around a table with friends talking and having a few drinks.
I am frustrated by my stay. The room was fine and I had no complaints with the cleanliness. The room seemed to be permanently stuck on air conditioning in January and the shower strength could have been better but I was still ok with the hotel. I am upset with their planning and service. I was put into a room on the 8th floor for my 4 night stay. On the second night, I was called at 7:30 pm and told that the 8th floor was going to be closed for carpet cleaning and I would need to move. I asked if I could move that evening as I had early and all day meetings in the office and was told no but to just pack And leave my suitcase in the room and they would move for me. Upon return to the hotel, I was told that they didn’t move my items because I wasn’t there and that they changed their mind about cleaning the carpet and I would not have to move. I was not given any recompense for the hassle except a shrug of the shoulders and a “oh well”. Upsetting because I had to pack, unpack and iron twice for no reason. Upsetting because I put on a floor where they knew my stay would overlap pre-planned carpet cleaning. Not a good Marriott experience.
Traveled with my daughter for a gymnastics competition. With all the craziness of competition it was nice to be in walking distance to the venue and have all the necessities to keep her mind on the competition. The staff is always friendly and went above and beyond what is required. We also traveled with our pup for the first time and she was greeted with treats.
Positive: The location of the hotel was perfect and the ambience of the hotel itself was very niceThe room is very nice and comfortable as well Negative: I was very upset that my early check-in was not granted with the room that I originally paid for which was a king suite and they downgraded me to a Junior suite because of the room not being available at the time and I was on business so my wife and kids
We enjoyed the stay, the staff is professional, accommodating, and helpful, the entrance is modern, grand and beautiful. The courtyard is spacious with ample seating in relaxing arrangements of seating. Adding the breakfast daily was a convenient and reasonable inclusion. Its typical of a buffet style breakfast - it was fresh and everything was at arms length. i also watched the staff help a new mother prepare a plate with her holding her newborn. i thought a lot of that simple act. The rooms was sufficient however it was not what i booked. Nor was it an upgrade. it however, worked. the only issue was that it was high school graduation for the surrounding schools. thus all parking around was taken. The parking garage was available but also quite crowded. Perhaps the management can ensure residents of the establishment are provided with parking at the hotel...All in all a very good choice and when i visit Allen Texas will definitely reserve accommodations at this location.
This is an extremely nice hotel right in the heart of Allen Texas and there is soo much to do within walking distance. From the moment I walked in I was impressed. The young lady that checked me in had a in training tag on her badge and she was just a ray of light and kindness ( I cant remember her name). They gave us a bottle of water and some popcorn which I thought was so kind and thoughtful. The room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The entire facilities were kept up and clean and the fresh water with fruit in it up front was an added bonus. We will definitely stay here again and I highly RECOMMEND that you do as well. Happy and safe travels to all and remember this hotel and you can thank me later...😇
Courtyard Mariott at Allen has a great location...access to a plethora of evening dining with short walk, highway is nearby w/o the noise, and close to many business areas. Breakfast buffet is pretty good and reasonable (much better than normal continental breakfasts from other chains). Staff is efficient and courteous. Rooms are spacious, clean, and have nice layout. Netflix option is a bonus. Décor is upscale in lobby, parking is decent. Definitely recommend for business travelers.
Beautiful hotel!! We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed!! Our grandsons love staying here!! The indoor pool is really nice! There are so many restaurants and shopping choices within walking distance or nearby! We also love having the covered parking garage for our vehicle!! It is located within a couple of blocks to the outlet mall!! It is definitely our favorite hotel in Allen!!
Overall a great hotel and I would recommend staying here. I was here for a wedding and their is wedding venue was nice, and decent decor and chairs. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. I didnt use the amenities like the pool much, but it looked well maintained and the lobby and hotel look clean and well maintained. The hotel rooms were clean with nice amenities and furniture. The furnishings were fairly modern as well as the bathroom. There wasnt much of a view from any of the rooms, but there isnt any decent view in the Allen/Dallas areas Ive visited. My only one MINOR concern was the hotel seemed a bit understaffed. I called the front desk and didnt get a response and occasionally the desk had a large line. But that just might be because there was a large wedding and also another large party going on that night.
Very nice and clean establishment with a very professional and courteous staff. From my experience in the hospitality industry, this has to be one of your better run mod-priced properties. It’s obvious the staff presents themselves in a polite, confident manner and leadership has provided excellent training to instill confidence in each team member that I have interacted with during my stays.
Very nice place for our business conference. Staff was very helpful and prompt in all aspects that we needed. The room was very nice, comfortable and spacious. Great location to several restaurants and a great bakery a few steps from the front door. I hope my travels will bring me to Allen again so i can stay at this great hotel. P.S. The fire pit in the courtyard was a nice area to relax in yhe evening and meet new people.
My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel, the location was fantastic with lots to do in the immediate area. The walk from to the event center was really nice. We will be staying here again. The extra charge was really annoying but hard to be that upset since the stay was so nice.
No need for a survey. For a premium price I would expect a clean room with maintained furnishings. The bathroom was dirty ( hair and trash on the floor). The complimentary toiletries were used. Tissues were jammed into the tissue box (3 different types). No worries though. I bring my own toiletries and am capable of cleaning up the bathroom floor, but shouldn’t have to. I didn’t complain to management because I shouldn’t have to. Your facility was not ready for business. Also your desk clerk tried to charge $13.00 to park onsite when my reservation clearly stated ‘Complimentary On-site and Off-site Parking”.
Positive: Everything was amazing!
The staff was so helpful and courteous. The hotel is beautiful and very clean! My king size bed/balcony room was amazing! I would definitely stay here again!
Indoor pool great for a swim in those cold winter months. Property is nice, rates are fair, great place to bring your girl is you want to get away from the kids for the weekend. ;)
The hotel was great, but I left an important item behind. They charged me $75 for next day delivery, but the item did not get out that day. They did not check to see if it would be delivered on a Saturday, instead I am getting that item on Monday. Thursday to Monday is not next day and they did not follow through or properly communicate the the issue. I would have gladly paid for Saturday delivery if that was what it took. This is not Marriott service, which makes me question their customer care.
The hotel is average. The front desk staff are courteous and helpful.
Easily the nicest Courtyard we have ever stayed in. Many eateries within walking distance. However, our 1 bedroom 2 room suite was less than desirable. #805 has no windows in the separate living/sitting area making for very poor air circulation therefore requiring the air unit to run constantly. Very clean and well appointed from lobby to rooms. Service was not the friendliest at check-in. Oh well, just luck of the draw. I would definitely stay here again. I would just be more aware of the room layout and request a change if I got #805 again. I have stayed here before and loved it.
Convenient location, courteous and friendly front desk staff. Very clean, very accommodating.
First, when I scheduled the stay through your company, I got stuck on the phone talking to someone about a sales pitcher to buy a vacation package at one of your resorts. Then when we arrived at the hotel the lady checking us in was rude! I was trying to ask her which card would get charged, the one I reserved with or the one I was handing her and she couldnt answer the question. After that she handed the key cards to me, she walked off, not asking if I need anything else or telling me my room number, she just pointed down the hall and mumbled that the elevator was over there. So, then I had to follow her to ask where I can park if the parking around the building was full. And I also purchased the breakfast package and had to ask her how to use it. She then had to go get me vouchers. Shouldnt my reservation show that I purchased the breakfast package and gotten that in the beginning, not have to go and find the information out? Then I had to continue with questions because she would not provide me with any information up front, like breakfast times, where to get breakfast, who I handed the vouchers too...etc. So, after those 2 bad experiences, my husband and I unload the kids out of the car from the parking garage across the street. We get to our room and it is 83 degrees in the room!!! The AC was set to 72 degrees, the air was barely blowing out of the vent and it was hot air. We had to call the front desk and maintenance had to move us to another room. The AC worked, but it never got very cold in the room. (I do like a colder room when I sleep) but I think they need all their AC systems serviced. We also got a king room and a sofa sleeper, because they had no double queens available. There were no extra pillows, blankets or anything for the sofa sleeper, by that time we were so done with dealing with the staff we all just slept in the king bed. The breakfast buffet wasnt great for $13 a person. They were almost out of a lot of the food when we got there at 7:30am and the breakfast opened at 6:30am. It was a waste of money staying there. They say you get what you pay for, we definitely did not get what we paid for. The only good thing was the maintenance guy, he was very polite, and he got our new keys, turned down the AC in the new room for us. Very nice, he was the only positive part of our stay.
As always, the staff are welcoming, polite and extremely helpful. The Courtyards general condition of cleanliness is visibly presented to a high standard, as with the guest rooms.Hotel facilities are very good, the indoor pool is an absolute bonus during the winter months and is a decent size. A further area caters for dining including a friendly and comfortable bar.For me, theres an additional area for business with the PCs having a very good internet connection speed and printers that actually work. (unlike other hotels Ive frequented)The rooms are comfortable and offer good amenities that added to my stay. I regular visit Allen TX and without doubt, the Courtyard is my first choice of hotel to stay within the area.
Never than most Courtyards and very friendly staff. Did a great job of accommodating our family for a wedding held on site
So this was fun....had a conversation with the Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at the Allen Event Center about our wedding room block. I understand that a contract was signed and expected to be held up but the lack of compassion shown was tremendous. I unfortunately had a family member have heart attack, he obviously wasn’t able to make the wedding being that he needed to have quadruple bypass heart surgery, and my grandmother who was being escorted by him couldn’t make it either. The response, “never had that question before so I asked and sorry you still have to pay for the rooms.” $470.00 or so dollars later I will never stay or recommend them again as the go to hotel in ALLEN. I will also be asking that my companies local leadership to never uses them as an event center again.
Rooms thermostat worked perfectly. Water was warm enough for a relaxing hot bath. Many stores and restaurants in the area to enjoy. Bistro in hotel is pricey. And no room service available. But you have a fridge and microwave to put your own snacks in. No freezer inside though. Workout area and swimming area very cozy and convenient. Overall it was a good stay.
First of all KALIMAH at the front desk was a superstar, outstanding, very kind and helpful. My husband is in a wheelchair and she made every effort to make him (us) comfortable and also it was our 39th Anniversary. The breakfast was awesome. The only thing that wasn’t ok was “Seeing other peoples hair in shower and in bathroom floor”. But overall it was nice would stay there again but would check bathroom first.
My wife and I come to Dallas several times a year to visit our beautiful granddaughter and her amazing parents. We always choose to stay at the Hammons Center Marriott. Its location is ideal, located fairly close to Dallas for convenience, but still having the small town feel of Allen. Shopping, Dining and spectacular recreational opportunities abound. The hotel itself is wonderful, and reasonably priced!!
