I think Ive been coming to see DeeDee for about 5 years now. There are 2 technicians so appointments are required. Nice and inviting space, clean and inviting. Great customer service and very knowledgeable workers. I travel from DC to visit. Not a very big space so it is best to not bring others with you who are not being serviced. Please be respectful and wear masks due to Covid-19.

Azucar is hands down the best experience you will find ANYWHERE when it comes to hair removal. Both Tina and Deedie are amazing and fantastic at their craft. I never thought I would look forward to getting hair ripped out; Tina is quick, proficient and we have great convo to get my mind off it! Love these ladies and the fabulous service they provide! Didi is fast, funny and fair prices. She makes the sugar herself and although she’s fast, she takes her time to make sure she does a good job. Book an appointment, you won’t be disappointed.

I got half leg sugared. I loved it so much I decided to leave a review. I live in Virginia Beach & they charge 80$ for a half leg sugar. It’s painful bc they use the same one the entire time so it starts pulling & uts not nearly as thorough. I paid half the price & got the best sugar I’ve ever had! Too bad I’m only in town visiting

Great Sugar Wax! Just had a Brazilian sugar wax for the 1st time & I must say that Im impressed. Tina was very professional & made me feel comfortable. The waxing itself went very quickly & Tina was done before I knew it. The environment was very clean & neat. My Brazilian wax went so well that I even did my underarms. I also have already booked my follow up appt in 4 weeks. I definitely recommend this place for sugar waxing to anyone. Also, I am IN LOVE with the sugar wax method. The pain wasnt at all what I expected it to be. The sugar wax made it not so painful for my 1st Brazilian wax & thats what I liked the most. :-)

Staff is super friendly, and personable, professional, and proficient. They specialize in sugaring and get the job done quickly and less painfully than traditional hair removal using wax and cloth/paper strips or hard wax. Sugaring also gets the very fine hairs that waxing might snap. I have been getting “bikini waxing” done for about 15 years now and this is my favorite place BY FAR!Sugaring is better than waxing because sugaring only removes hair and does not remove skin. Sugaring causes less skin irritation than the “conventional wax.” The sugaring method of hair removal is older than waxing and has been used since the days of ancient Egypt. Look it up. Why get waxed when sugaring is better in every way? I don’t know anyone that has tried sugaring and waxing and will say they prefer waxing to sugaring.Their prices on waxing packages are competitive and it’s super convenient to be able to buy a package and not have to worry about digging for your wallet with every visit.I have been hurt by waxing services at other salons and I have on more than one occasion been exposed to latex in wax or sugar mix and it creates a horrible local dermatitis reaction. This place is SO CONSCIENTIOUS! They have tubs of sugar mix that they never expose to latex gloves and they have nonlatex gloves. They peel the wax (and hair) away and whenever they need a new portion of wax, they throw out the glove and old sugar mix and put on a new glove to grab more sugar mix. They are very clean. The studio always smells calming and clean, I think they sometimes run an essential oil diffuser. The decor is quite “beach chic.” I go to Deedee.

The place was clean and the staff was polite. The service was supposed to take 30 minutes but took 20 instead so that was a good thing.

Posting from my husband’s account but I’m really disappointed in their customer service. They had Groupons online but chose not to honor it as their own personal policy says no Groupons for previous customers. Note that this is not stated anywhere. However, on the Groupon itself, there is no fine print saying new customers only and instead it says customers can repurchase every thirty days. They still chose not to honor even though their own Groupon says otherwise. Instead they offered me the same service for almost double the Groupon price thinking it would be such a great deal.

I really dont think I can write a more outstanding review for a service than for Azucar Sugaring!! Originally, I began going to Azucar because of a Groupon and it was some of the best money I have spent! I have continued to go sporadically because of time constraints but that doesnt mean I havent loved every single one of my experiences. I even brought my roommate last night for her first time ever getting a Brazilian and she LOVED it as well! I always go to Dee Dee who is so personable, quick, and EXCELS at her job as a sugarist. You literally walk out of the shop feeling smoother than a babys bottom! The atmosphere is so pleasant, serene, and hygienic which is what you cant say for some other places in the DMV. I normally dont write reviews but I think that everyone should know how wonderful Azucar is!
