An HP laptop display went blank. I could not resolve the problem so looked for nearby computer repair resources. Astra Computer had excellent reviews so I went there - a good decision. Dmitry, the owner and chief technologist, quickly diagnosed the source of the problem, sourced a needed part and accomplished the repair in a very cost-effective way - far less costly than buying a new laptop. Astra Computer LLC provided unbelievable service at an unbelievable price. I had been to the Microsoft store at Pentagon City and they could not help and suggested I send my computer to Seagate at a cost of $700 plus. Dmitri picked up my computer from my house worked on it to restore what I thought was lost data and then brought it back to my house. All for $117. This business is pure gold for people in Alexandria with any computer issues.

My experience with Astra was pretty spectacular as far as tech support goes. Dmitry, followed up immediately after my request for assistance with my Laptop. We arranged to meet the same day of my request on a working day. He arrived on time, conducted a series of diagnostic tests, but also requested taking the lap top as I had other business appointments and conference calls. He called me that evening and also detected a defective and damaged computer battery, recommended a couple of batteries to choose from as well as other programs to update the functioning of my laptop. He also was able to fixed all of the issues I had with my laptop’s functioning and made himself available to reinstall the new battery when it arrived at no additional cost. He was courteous, and knowledgeable about fixing my laptop, and importantly, explained the issues with the laptop that needed addressing in terms I could understand. I highly recommend Dmitry and Astra Computer.

Dmitry of Astra Computer is GREAT! He had a mess on his hands w my laptop . It was my itunes, & the near 15gigs of music. It was supposed to be being backed up to my off-site subscription service, so when the OS was uninstalled and re-installed, I went to my back-up account & restored my files. But I ended up with my itunes library all over the computer. 2, 3 and sometimes 4 copies of a songs & in various formats. Some songs were never found again (ripped from CDs). There were libraires within libraries on both C&D. No one else wanted to deal with this, unless Id pay them a fortune. Dmitry did everything! He followed up and even came back over to work w my off-site backup subscription to fix those issues. Astra Computer is the only place Ill ever call for future problems. Thanks Dmitry.
