Haircut and experience was fantastic. Hannah was friendly and very helpful figuring out what I’d like to have done. I’ll definitely have her be my barber going forward and plan to bring my kids here as well. I like that they are a barbershop that can do a straight razor. Unlike other places, Hannah took the extra time to focus on some of the finer details versus just finishing as fast as possible. That said, she also did a great job of getting me in and out in a timely fashion. Probably one of the best haircuts I’ve had.

I went in there asked for a 4 on top and a low fade. One side goes to the top of my head the other is right. then doesnt do my lineup.!

Very reasonably priced and the ladies who have cut my hair did a really good job. They really take their time and have attention to detail. Its also really nice that you can walk in without an appointment and not have to wait too long.

Pricing is also reasonable and I appreciate that they offer military discounts. It’s $20 for a regular cut and $18 for military.I usually see either Jasmine or Leo, and they take their time to understand what style you want or will work with you. They’re personable and that’s makes all the difference. I will definitely keep going back

Been here plenty of times in past few years. Have had a few different stylists. All great but my personal favorite is Tony. Always polite, smiling and has perfect attention to detail. I do miss the preCOVID shaves and beard touch ups. His English is not the best. He is originally from Vietnam and has lived in the US close to 20years I believe. It will be a sad day if Tony leaves this place!

I love Cut and Shave Barbershop. The people are kind, excellent at what they do, and the cuts are very fairly priced. As of yesterday it was $20 for a mens cut. Hard to be that in this area. I do recommend making an appointment as it can get very busy and you may have a decent wait if you go during a peak time. Ive been getting cut here for 5 years and will continue to come back for the foreseeable future.

A colleague recommended Cut & Shave to me, and his advice was spot on: for low cost, I got a great haircut. The stylist was both kind and meticulous. I showed her a picture of the sort of cut I wanted, and she was able to adapt it to work with my coarse hair. The result was even better than Id envisioned. Lastly, the shop was very clean and COVID precautions were in place.

I made an appointment for 11:15am on a Wednesday and arrived at 11:10am and checked in. I paid for a half-hour parking ($1.33) and I took $40 out of the ATM ($2.00 fee) because of course theyre cash only. I sat and waited for 25 minutes and watched 5 people take a seat on a barbers chair before I finally decided enough is enough and I left.The receptionist was very nice, and Im sure it wasnt her fault, but when I make an appointment somewhere its because I have exactly the amount of time free that it takes to go to a place and get a haircut. Its a work day, I have meetings, I have a family, and I expect that a business respects my schedule as I do theirs. I arrive early or on time to my appointments, and a good business should provide on time service as well.Ill travel a little further and pay a little more for my preferred barber in Arlington instead of going to this closer, cheaper barber ever again. Unfortunate.

This place is very unprofessional. Does not call you to notify you if the shop is closed when you have a scheduled appointment and they have your cell phone number. Did not offer to compensate for the inconvenience or anything. They just gave excuses to why. This has happened twice to me since going there. I do not recommend this place at all, but I know there have been others who have had good experiences.

Ive been here once and got a haircut from Tony. The shop was clean, the staff was process and Tony did a great job with my hair. I will be coming back.

I got highlights and a haircut, and most other hair salons charge me $150 or more. Yet, at this Barber Shop, the haircut is done so professionally that I’ve not had to search for other hair places. Their haircuts add me volume and layers, and their checking on me during the highlight process is careful and beautiful done. Highly recommended.

I told them to not cut my hair too short and they did. I am unhappy with my style and it will probably take me 6+ months to get it back. Though the prices arent bad, dont go there unless you want a buzz cut.

One of the cheapest haircuts you can get here in Alexandria. But despite the low price, you get amazing service every time. Theres a bunch of chairs, so unless you go on the weekend or waiting for a particular stylist, youre usually not waiting too long. They are extremely talented at what they do and theyll make sure you look good.Only caveat is they are cash only. They have a rinky dink ATM there, but youre probably better off bringing cash.

Ladies always do a great job especially Jasmine. They even do a straight razor on your neck line. Priced really well for the neighborhood and never a long wait.

My husband and I went here not too long ago for the first time. The cut was good and the prices are very fair. Im giving it three stars because the customer experience was unwelcoming and the cuts were so efficient that they felt extremely rushed. Despite us having appointments and only being there for 30 minutes, we both felt as if we had overstayed our welcome the second we sat down in the chair. As if they needed to be someplace else and we were intruding. To make matters worse, I ended up wanting a higher fade. The barber was clearly unhappy about this and got kind of rough with her tools. It was uncomfortable to say the least.

I got a haircut along with a straight-shave and beard trim. All the services were fantastic and Kenny paid special attention to ensuring my beard was symmetrical (which I very much appreciated since I didnt ask for it). The only downside I have to this place is that they only take cash and I didnt realize that until I was paying. Ill be coming back but would love it if they would take card as well.

Folks, let me tell you the story of a man and his search for a new Barber. In 2015 I moved to northern Virginia and stumbled upon Kim at the snip snip barber shop in Falls Church. It was love at first sight. He was able to fade my hair exactly like I liked it. He shared a love for my sports teams. It was perfect. Fast forward to 2018 and Kim leaves the hair cutting world leaving me hurt and confused. He came back fortunately just to get me cleaned up for my wedding, but since he left Ive been searching for that special someone who made me look as good as Kim did. After months countless disappointing first cuts, I was starting to lose faith till I found Tony at Cut and Shave. He took care of me in a way that I thought wasnt possible. While he didnt share my love for sports teams, he shared my sense of humor and captured my heart at the first meeting. My search for a new Barber is over. 10/10 will do again.

Excellent affordable barber. Didnt get a chance to head to my old standby at home before hitting town for business, so I stopped in here to get cleaned up. Quick, excelent haircut. Steady hand with a razor, cleaned up my 4-day old neck beard and cut a meticulous line for my beard and cheeks. For the hair trim, beard trim & cleanup, & a straight razor neck/neck beard shave with hot towel, was less than 30$ (I tipped generously as well). Would recommend.

It was my first time at a barber and this was a wonderful experience! Everyone was friendly, reasonable prices, and Tee Tee did an amazing job on my fade. Cash only, but theres an ATM inside. Street parking on a Thursday evening was not hard to find. I did not have to wait more than 10 minutes to be placed in a chair. I was pleased that they had a diverse group of both men and women barbers. The razor shave with hot towel treatment at the end was a surprise and also very relaxing. More of a salon experience than a barbershop. I will definitely return!

I had a haircut while visiting and this place was amazing. I wish I had a place like this back home in Phoenix, with as friendly of a staff as this one. There was a little bit of a wait but, you would expect there to be a wait if the place is this good.

The BEST! I came in the day before my wedding looking for a haircut and beard trim. Le took care of me and I got a haircut, beard trim and the deluxe shave, which comes with a hot towel treatment, facial and straight-razor shave. I could have fallen asleep, it was so relaxing. The prices are reasonable and I bet Le spent 30-45 minutes making sure I looked amazing. I expect to come back 3-4 times a year to get everything looking sharp!

I was a first time walk in today. I had read the reviews and figured I would ask for Tony because he had such good reviews. Unfortunately, he wasnt in, so I took chance. A young barber named Kenny gave me a great haircut. I showed him a picture of my last haircut. He did a great taper, really knows how to use his clippers. I saw the barbers cutting Black, White, Asian, Latin, young, and old men while I was there. The price is very reasonable. Give this place a try.

I went here and ask the lady to make my son look cool and she just did it! The location is super convenient with free parking in the back of their building. I like it here and will definitely come back.

One of the best haircuts I have received, and I get a lot of them (one every week). The barber was precise and efficient while cutting my hair. After giving my initial instructions, I did not have to mention any corrections or changes. Also, after my haircut, the barber used a straight razor to finish the zero on my haircut, which was a unique and pleasing experience. Furthermore, the standard haircuts here are affordable, especially for the quality. Make sure to bring cash here since they will not take credit/debit.Edit:I have had over 52 haircuts here and have had my hair cut by each employee at least 3 times. They are still the best in terms of quality and price. I have not had a single bad haircut!

I am always skeptical going into a place with great reviews (as you have more chance of being disappointed). However, Cut and Shave was awesome. I went in relatively close to closing time on a Sunday and it was no problem at all.My haircut was great and my stylist took a great deal of time doing a great cut. Ive had a cut at a salon before and the service here was better than the salon! Overall, a great place with very reasonable prices and super service.

Great fades and haircuts for a good price. I’ve been getting a military style cut here for a few years now and they have never messed it up. Each stylist is professional and won’t rush you out of their chair to get another customer in. They make sure you look good before you pay.Be sure to bring cash as they do not run cards here. If you forget to bring cash they do have an atm in the store for you.Sometimes there is a wait but that’s because this place is worth it.

Really like the people here. They are friendly and willing to work with you if youre not pleased with the product or service. I am a regular for years now. With about 10 different barbers youll find one that fits you and your hair most likely. You also cant beat the price for the area. Suggest calling ahead for an appointment once you find that right fit.

So I was actually surprised by how well they did mens hair! The atmosphere is lacking, but honestly it makes up for it by the friendly neighborhood vibe, the lineup that occurs on Saturday and the great job they do. Show them the picture of what you want and theyre really good at matching it! They also do a really good job on beard trims if you want a touch up!

Overall this is a very good barbershop. The only thing I dont like is that barbers tend to take their own artistic style a little too far when giving haircuts. Being in the military, our haircuts are pretty simple. But sometimes they will try to make you look hip and that can sometimes put you on the edge of being out of regs. I still go every week though.

The girl who cut my hair was very nice and knew what she was doing, I think her name was Ashley. I think I can honestly say this is the best haircut Ive ever gotten. Its now a couple days later and I get happier with it each day. Ive never had a haircut done so precisely so that the hair is significantly shorter on one side of the part as the other. I will definitely be going back.

This place is super awesome. There is next to no wait to get your chance in the chair. They are very meticulous when it comes to straight razor shaves. Their Barbers are amazing and what they can do to your hair. This will be my new go-to place in Alexandria.

Ive been coming here since I moved to the DC area in Jan 2015. Its near where I work, so the convenience is there, but that was just what brought me in. The staff is incredibly nice, the shop is kept clean, and the prices are unbeatable for the area. Their attention to detail is supreme, and keeps me coming back. They are open to new hair styles, so dont be afraid to ask them to do something specific. They also do beards, and straight razor edging as suggested by the name. The warm face towel before shaving is like a mini man spa. Once you go here, you wont want to go anywhere else. Ill be moving in a few months, and I already miss them.

The barber did an excellent job, - listened to what I wanted and made recommendations based on what I had said. Consistent, quick, personal, and cheap for the area(~$16). Almost two years of hair cuts here and Ive never been let down. Tends to get a little busy around 5pm on Fridays, but always worth the 30min wait! The hot lather shave is a great traditional end to every cut. Military and police discounts.
