I’ve been using MTA pest control for years and I couldn’t speak highly enough about them! Every time I use the I never have problems, also I usually only require service twice a year. On top of that they always leave me a couple extra bait traps in case I see any small issues! These guys have always provided a get service, and I much prefer supporting local business to a national chain!

So i went to work for Mike the owner in 2013. For the first year it was actually pretty good. Mike left me alone which was nice. As far as training and education in the pest control Mike didnt have much to offer. I trained myself for the most part. In 2014 my father passed away, my beef with Mike the owner was the fact that he didnt offer me the time off that i needed to mourn my father. I was late to his memorial service, and i was late and almost missed the spreading of his ashes because of work. Even when i requested time off months later to reunite with my family, Mike was a dick about it. He acted like he owned me. Maybe if he had treated me like a person i mightve stuck around longer. The amount of paperwork, phone calls and scheduling off the clock made the job absolutely horrible. I was maybe( thats a huge maybe) making 20k a year. I shouldve been pulling in more like 30k. Mike doesnt quite understand pest control that well either. He might now but even that is questionable. Hes a splash and dash tech, and his knowledge is limited. He was using bait and a repellant( Suspend SC which costs WAY to much anyways) to get rid of odorous house ants( sugar ants). First off when you lay down a barrier, insects can detect it and will work their way around it especially ants. Secondly if you use baits and kill a significant amount of ants it will only spread the problem. Killing a bunch of ants will only signal the queen to produce more. So instead of one colony now you have two or three. Of course Mike would know this if he actually opened a book once in a while and did continuing education for himself and his employees. After the whole thing with my dad passing Ill never trust Mike again.
