I took my Stihl chainsaw here to replace the arm and have some general maintenance. It took much longer than they first quoted me. I get the chainsaw back and it wont start. Being a Stihl, I have never had problems with it starting. At first they claimed nothing was wrong. Then the owner almost broke the pull start trying to prove that it was me who was doing it wrong. He never got it started. They took it back and after several weeks I finally got it back only to find it would start after 20 pulls. My chainsaw has never been the same. It has had issue after issue since I took it here. They really screwed it up.

Franks Power Equipment is great. Bought a Stihl chainsaw here about 10 years ago and these guys continue to be a great help when needed. Stopped by today for some oil and a new chain, only to find their location on San Mateo closed. Relieved to find out they have just relocated to the corner of Hawkins and Ellison. Smaller location, but same great service! If you are in need of any Stihl equipment or a repair for one, this is the place to go. They also offer used equipment of many brands at good prices, as well as repairs.

You should social distance yourself as far as possible from this HORRIBLE place!! Quoted me one price to repair my lawn mower, then was higher when I picked it up. Did not repair the problem and took it back and still was not running correctly. That is the SECOND time that has happened to me there!!! The only reason I went back was to give them the benefit of a second chance.... NEVER AGAIN!! Would have been cheaper to buy a new lawnmower!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!! Worst place EVER!!!

Robert was very helpful and highly knowledgeable about their products. He helped us get the right chain for our chainsaw and fixed what ace had broken when they gave us the wrong chain. I highly recommend Franks power for their amazing customer service and attention to detail!

The shop was pretty dirty. Frank got pretty upset because he had our four wheeler for six months. When we called to see what was going on. the mechanic told us it would be around four hundred dollars to fix. My husband told him not to fix it and we’ll pick it up. Day of picking it up Frank starting arguing with my husband about how long it was there and that it takes time. Then charged $60.00 for shop supplies! My husband told that this was the last time going there and Frank said that was fine cuz he didn’t want him coming back!! When we got home realize they kept our brand new battery.

I waited for a good 30 minutes for a simple question. I called ahead and got a confirmation on a scooter I could possibly purchase, but I was told that they couldn’t show it to me. So I thought it was a little unprofessional. Will not be coming back or recommend!

Was shopping for a backpack blower and this was the only shop in town that was knowledgeable about cfm, mph ect. They demoed one for me in the parking lot and explained how it works (I needed the most powerful one I could get). Very happy with the service and product and will be back for future needs.

Frank, you are AWESOME. My granddaughter and I went in Friday to get parts and help in regard to fixing my brigs and strat motor. Franks place was really busy, but he stopped everything to make sure we had all the right parts and took the time to explain how to rebuild the carburetor etc. Great news, my rototiller works fantastic. More importantly my granddaughter learned how to fix it. Frank, you are the MAN. ☝️👍👏

I brought a Stihl Weed trimmer in for service and was told to expect it back in six weeks. A month an a half later after no word, I call them and was told they were running behind, Long story short after THREE MONTHS at their shop, not hearing a peep from them I call them to find that it got “buried” and still hasn’t been touched.Unless you are a landscaper with a fat maintenance budget or are buying new equipment, they just don’t have time for you. Terrible service.

I had a great experience here, got a classic stihl 032 av, needed a tune up, love this chainsaw and did not want to throw $350 towards a new one so crossed my finger and took into Franks P.E. Customers service was perfect, 2 week turn around on chainsaw which was fine. Got it back and it fires right up like NEW ! $30 for parts and $60 for labor, small price for a great running chainsaw from 1983, made in West Germany !! Thank you Franks !

I was very pleased with the helpfulness and the knowledge of the employees at Franks Power Equipment. I purchased a new Stihl chainsaw there.I knew much about the product I was buying to start but they took a great deal of time to explain things I didnt know. I have purchased Stihl products for other retailers in Albuquerque and they were good too. I think Franks Power equipment goes the extra mile to make sure the customer is getting what they need to be successful. They make sure the tool is matched to your needs and educate you to guarantee tool longevity.

What a jerk. I called to get a part number for a carb I need for my mower and this jerk was so rude and refused to help stating I dont help people over the phone and its $75 to talk to me about parts you might needAvoid like the plague!!

I took my chain saw to get a tune-up and they told me two and a half weeks and it took about four weeks. the owner was clueless on what was going on, said he was on vacation and he had just got back to a mess. i was told it was done and that all was good, wrong they had not put back some of he parts on the chainsaw so i could not get started so i looked at the handle and there were loose parts . pluse they told me my air filter would be in on a certain day and it did not. i had to pay for it and i said if i did not get it like he said i would dispute the charges and that is when he said i refuse to accept your card and cash only. very uncalled for. so to make things worse i took the chainsaw up to the mountains and it would not hold the chain in place. they had lost a part when putting it back and i was done with there lousy service and warranty . so i took another place and they gave me a three day turn around and they fixed the problem that they had made and it cost me 85.00 to fix there screw up . and to boot i paid them 120.00 for a tune-up that did not happen. stay away and i will never go back . p,s. there was one guy at the counter there that cared and that was not the owner.

Started out with a phone call and reassurance from AD that he would be able to help me out. I was skeptical when the competitor, (no names, on Menaul), said I would have to bring it in (the problem item) for them to help me. I walked in to Franks, very clean entry, not cluttered and was promptly greeted. AD recalled the phone call from earlier and had the part waiting for me on the counter. My research told me that the item was discontinued and parts would be hard to get. AD and I, viewed the pics I took of the item and he willingly showed me the parts diagram and proved I was buying only and exactly what I needed. Later that night, I reassembled the item and started up instantly. So elated, I called the next day to give props. AD was busy and unbeknownst to me, Frank, the owner, was on the phone. Even better, I shared with him what Im sharing with all of you, AD squared me away from the first phone call. The call got me in the door, ADs ability will keep me coming back.*** Note to the competitors *** it always starts on first contact, be it by phone, net or walk in!!GREAT JOB AD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recommend every one to go to Dat Rentals for service and custummer care over on Wyoming just north of Central they work with you to make sure all is good to go before you leave their shop. I 1s worked with this guy Frank over on pino ave and sanpedro and the frontage road where Enchantment power Equipment was located I got to see his work and saw what needed changed and I learned I would never take any of my stuff to him . Luckly for me I know how to fix my own stuff cause if you cant get good custummer service at a shop like this you gota find someone else or wach you tube videows and fix your stuff your self and pat your self on the back for a job well done cause all you had to do was just by the parts and you save the cost of labor. Most mechanics or so called mechanics are out for your $ rather then taking care of the custummer. To me its all about the custummer and less about the $ yes money needs to be made for growth of business but its only worth it if the owner takes pride honor and respect to the custummer. But yeah I wouldnt take any thing to frank if I was you guys Franks got talents in his life that hes good at but small engine repair business is not 1 of them. Like I said I know how he is because he got hired at a shop that I worked at. So I know what Im talking about GOTA RESPECT PEOPLES EQUIPMENT AND GOTA RESPECT THE CUSTUMMER.if somethings not Right work out solutions shop owner must work hard To earn respect of the custummer. And again I strongly recommend Dat Rentals they are a Husband dealer and Mackita dealer they will talk with you as long as you need about any concern or ? You may have and work with you to make everything right so you will leave with a smile and not a frown they will teach you demenstraight to you about all you need to know about using new machines you want to use and what model is best for your needs for your project. And repairs are done 100% checked and rechecked to make sure you are happy with the repair. Just do your home work and find a mechanic you trust before taking stuff in. So you dont get disrespected. This is how I feel and this is what I know so Im not sorry for anything Im saying. Cause like I said I seen this guys work and years latter of hearing from other people Frank still does not deserve my business. Good luck to those that do like his work and his word of getting stuff done but I sure wont trust him with anything the rest of my days.but if you treat people right things will be better in the future.

This place is so lucky that I gave them one star. I went in to take my husbands chain saw hoping they could help fix whatever it needed. So I went in thinking Frank the ower would be willing to help me knowing that I didnt really know to much about chain saws. Well I got drilled with a ton of questions and basically talking to me like a complete idiot, and wasnt really wanting to help unless I knew what I wanted him to work on. After getting in contact with my husband they had a few words and could tell it didnt go well when hung up on my husband then told me to leave and take my saw because my husband told him that we were gonna take our business somewhere else after he rudely talking to my husband. After hanging up the phone and telling me to leave he continued to say how rude my husband was and hes been dealing with costumers for years and never been treated so rude, so trying to lug this huge chain saw and carry my baby out being screamed at I couldnt believe how rude this person was to not only a lady with a baby but a costumer. Bottom line I will never ever recommend Franks to anyone nor will he be getting any business from our family again....

I asked about an internal part for a generator and was told they had a parts unit in the store. The owners brother/tech said to pull it apart before I came and to bring the party to match up to make sure theyre the same. Pulled it apart into many, many similar looking pieces. Then when I called to check hours he tells me it was a customer unit and he didnt have the party afterall and my engine is in 50 pieces. spoke to frank to get a quote on a part and he says hell call back, never does after I provide every number needed to get the quote. I go in the next day to order the part and was told it was on backorder for over a month. I asked him what the party number was and he wouldnt tell me unless I bought from him. No effort to make it right on the part. Was told that my engine being in pieces was not his problem and then told me to take my a** up the street and buy my part there when I called him on the not taking responsibility for the error. NEVER Again with the Franks. Rudest guy every, not to mention an empty shop with no selection and everything is overpriced. Tried to charge me 3x what Plano was charging for the part though his price sheet showed half.

The owner of this place is such a Tool- does shoddy work and will argue with you. No wonders he always claims he can’t get people to work for him - douche bag’s have that issue. Avoid this place at all costs- just a rip off period. Doesn’t deserve a 0 star rating.

Removed my carb to have them clean it. Once cleaned they never called me for pickup, I had to drive there to check. They did a poor job. I reinstalled it on my motorcycle and took my motorcycle to a real repair shop. They diagnosed my bike as having a dirty carb. They cleaned it and it ran fine. 45 bucks down the drain...not to mention time wasted.

Terrible shop. I went in to buy a motor scooter that a customer hadnt picked and was told that in 30 days, it would be for sell. About a month later i went back with a pocket full of money and walked out, with a pocket full of money. I was basically ignored. I was looking to be a frequent customer and referring all my friends but now Ill never go back. You can try them if youd like but I would just youtube anything you need fixed.

Highway robbery the owner of this place is known for keeping what you leave him theyll tell you one price and come back with another leaving you not able to pick it up so he keeps it we left a gokart before Christmas to this very day nothing was done on it we go pick it up and he says we cant take it unless we pay a 40 dollar fee for doing absolutely nothing on it we said we werent gonna pay it he says bring your lawyer then says f**k you and starts screaming saying my wife works for law enforcement Ill have the cops here in 2 min he squars up wanting to fight bottom line your a f****d up owner how you gonna get like that in front of a child management skills poor you Rob people from their stuff we stood up to you and told you how it was and what you do and you didnt have a f****n word to say then huh after that he wanted to help us load it up he started talking all nice after that why because he knew he was in the wrong your business wont go to far

Horrible ownership. I went into the store to pick up my 2 saws that we (Frank, Robert, & I) agreed on would be ready 4 days ago. I decided to only take 1 saw due to the agreement we had not being honored on their end. This snowballed into Frank & Robert having a heated argument in front of the store rep and I with Robert ultimately being fired for their lack of any type of service.
