Everyone I have spoken to at CBS chimney has been very kind and professional. I had Ben and another gentleman come do and inspection and cleaning on my fireplaces, they were very nice and professional. Ben came back later to do repairs on my fireplaces to get them in safe working order. I am very pleased with my service this far!

I recently used (9/15/21) CBS Chimney for a fireplace/chimney cleaning and inspection. They showed up on time and cleaned/inspected my chimney like I asked. I was told from the inspection that my flue and smoke chamber needed work and that there were two options to correct this.... One option was a steel lined flue, and the other a Heatshield coating. The Tech said he would email me the estimates. I received one estimate for the Heatshield. I called back and asked if they could send me the steel lined estimate and was informed that I would have to pay a service charge for them to come back out to my house to measure. I said I feel like I shouldnt have to pay for them to come back out and that they should have measured the first time. The receptionist was very nice and said that she would have to ask the owner to send someone out without me being billed. I never heard back from them... hence the one star review.Update (10/6/21). I previously gave CBS a one star review but decided to change it. I did this because the owner responded to this review and sent someone out for the other estimate free of charge. I appreciate a company/owner who follows up with a dissatisfied customer... hence the five star review.

First time posting a review…. Five stars!CBS Chimney/CBS Lawn does not disappoint. I’ve needed sprinkler & drip system repair as well as a firebox/chimney rebuild and they show up on time and do a good job. I’ve used them over the past 8+ years and even when picking up the phone to take your call- they are all about service.Chimney repair, sprinkler repair and lawn care… this company is professional and takes care of their customers!

Love these guys! They were upfront, honest and flexible in working with me to get my pretty dilapidated 100-year-old chimney back in working order. We also used their sprinkler and yard maintenance business to repair our sprinklers and re-sod our backyard. More than satisfied every step of the way. I highly recommend!

They were very professional in the office. They were polite and efficient. I asked for a consultation. The tech was 35 minutes late. He was polite. He walked the yard with me and was finished in about 5 minutes. He sent a quote later that day. I was outraged! He quoted $1000.00! All that was needed was to trim and clean up some dead vegetation that had accumulated from winter. He was going to shape up some shrubs and blow leaves. Theres a very small patch of grass about 10ft x 15ft. Quite a bit of it had died but the tech thought if he just raked it and gave it some water it would come back. And he was going to turn on the sprinklers to see if they were working properly. He didnt fix sprinklers he was just checking them. The entire rest of the yard is seascapes. $1000! Outrageous !! He wanted $70.00 to blow leaves and mow that patch of grass. They lost their minds!

These people charged my husband almost $600.00 to clean our chimney and replace an ignitor on our pellet stove. Then when the auger wouldnt feed the next day he had them back out and then charged another $100.00. If you use them be prepared for a big bill.

My pellet stove hadnt been cleaned/serviced in years. Dom came and took care of everything. He answered the questions I did have and left the area cleaner than he found it! Great service and thanks so much!

I have been a customer of CBS for about 10 years now. I have had various service personnel out to my home and have consistently had great service. This time I was compelled to reach out and thank CBS. I appreciate how they take time to call and let me know about any specials they are running and always call to remind me its time to have it inspected, serviced, and cleaned. I would not trust any other than CBS with the safety of my family and home.This year they called the week before Thanksgiving. And just last Tuesday, Gene was assigned to my appointment. I was scheduled for an arrival between 8 and 9am. He arrived right at 8am. Gene was FANTASTIC. He is so energetic, polite, and skilled. He was communicative and friendly. He clearly explained everything before he left nd ensured I had no questions. I am thrilled with how everything turned out. I feel safe and my fireplace is spotless!

After the CBS tech completed the cleaning of my wood stove and pipe, he informed me that the pipe distance from the wall is not up to code. I would need a different type of pipe installed in order to operate the stove safely. He said I should not use the stove until that happens and that their company could install the pipe for about 1800.00 plus tax. I appreciate the feedback, but would have preferred he had told me that BEFORE completing the job. I paid 161.76 on something that needs to be replaced, that I cant use, and had unnecessary cleaning.

Mike is the man, knows his stuff and always does a greta job. Leaves the house just like it was when he walked in except the 20+ foot chimney pipe is clean. I have been using CBS for a few years now without any problems. I have had other people come who just cleaned from in the house, not on the roof and removing the cap to clean the proper way, like the guys at CBS do.

The gentlemen that came to clean our Chimney were outstanding. They made sure to cover everything and were very clean. Left my house clean and they were also very courteous.

Mike, Jordan and Gilbert were amazing! They came out on a Saturday, spent a few hours doing some very nasty chimney and fireplace insert stuff and the price at the end, with everything fixed and working perfectly, was VERY reasonable. These guys get my highest praise. Also, I think her name is Linda, who answers the phone--THEY ANSWER THE PHONE!!-was great. Helpful and professional.

They quoted an outrageous price and even wanted to charge for PICTURES? Crooked. Got a 2nd opinion for hundreds cheaper.

Replaced our old smokey Franklin with a newer wood stove and updated our flu to code around 3yrs ago for a great price. We have been utilizing their services since to keep the stove clean. They always offer discounted prices to keep it clean and ready for winter. They always keep the house clean when they come and go. A local company that would definitely recommend.

CBS is a great running Company. I have taken the time to read all the comments, and I must say that I strongly disagree with those who gave this business less then 5 *stars*. They definitely have your safety and pocket in mind. They include inspections in all their cleanings just to give you piece of mind and to take care of any damage that could possibly cause a house fire that a house inspector had missed or your little keen eye had missed. With the repairs, they do have to make a profit off of it to. They cant just charge you the parts price off the market and install it for free. If you wont do your job for free then dont expect others to, plain and simple. And there time giving is phenomenal compared to others. They give you a 3 hour period when you call and make the schedule then they call you back the day before to confirm and give you more of a specific time that they will be there. And, the awesome thing is, is if you ask for a 30 min ETA, you actually get a 30 min ETA. I really dont know what the negativity was about in the past post. Seems like people may need more sunshine in their lives. And all their technicians are very knowledgable in their job and very enthused about it. I’m so disappointed by this company. I had an appointment, set for over two weeks after I first called, and no one showed. No call. I called the company and the receptionist said, “he couldn’t get in because of construction.” This is absolutely ridiculous! The lot was open and we have *two* entrances, which I could have explained, had they called. I was upset and they offered me another appointment more than a week away. I stressed that that wouldn’t work, as I’d been out of heat in a big section of my house since a few days after Christmas. The receptionist relectuantly gave me an appointment for today. Unbelievable — another no call no show! I just don’t know how companies like this stay in business; it makes Albuquerque businesses look bad! Some people depend 100% on their pellet stoves for heat. This is absolutely unacceptable. Obviously, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Call these guys! Extremely professional and friendly, kept my house spotless, and my fireplace looks brand new. All this for a great price.

On Saturday February 23, 2019, I had an emergency from the wind storm. My wooden stove piping was coming apart. I called CBS Chimney at least six times, for them to come out and reattach the piping inside my home. I called them because it indicated that they were open on Mondays through Saturdays. It stated specifically on Feb 23rd, that they were currently opened until 5 PM on the internet. I left several urgent phone messages, and not one returned phone call. I would never in my lifetime ever call or use their services from this experience. I called them today Monday, February 25th, and the receptionist said, Oh, we are not open on Saturdays. Oddly enough, it specifically stated they are opened on Saturdays on the internet. This CBS Chimney company does not have an emergency number for people to call. However, I did get a call back from a wonderful man named Chris from Amtrak Chimney.I used CBS Chimney about two months ago to have my chimney cleaned out. That was the reason I called this company, because I used their service once before. However, I would never, ever use their services again.I will use Amtrak Chimney.

Called today to request a quote. When I advised that Im located in the South Valley I was told that they dont go out to that area... literally 13 miles from their place of business. Apparently the greater Albuquerque area excludes my side of town.

Buyer beware! This outfit charges a ridiculous $85 just to come out to assess the job. This should be on their dime. It is a win win only for them!

On March 24, 2017 we had Gil from CBS Chimney Sweepers come to fix a problem with our dryer vent. The hose had come apart under our spa tub in the Master Bath and hot, humid dryer air was venting into our bathroom. Their office scheduled an appointment within 48 hours and Gil came right when he said hed be here. He tried several things to fix the problem but nothing worked. Finally he said he would tackle if from the outside. It was a super windy day and he stood high on a ladder, reached into the vent and attached the hose, fixing the problem and saving us hundreds not having to widen the access under our tub to reach it. All in the estimated time so it didnt cost one penny more than we had planned. Also, Gil was so nice and well groomed. I give CBS 5+ stars!

Two employees from CBS arrived late to my house only to break my brand new $1200 dryer. Inept and disrespectful. Then refused to take responsibility after they broke my dryer. Call anyone else except this company.

Very professional chimney sweep. My home is on the side of a hill and my chimney is on the top of the third floor closest to the hill. The location is not for the faint of heart. Apparently its terrifying enough that the last chimney sweep wouldnt even sweep the pipe. These folks on the other hand had no difficulty with the height, nor with the blustery conditions today. He got here on time and immediately got to work. Taped off all the places where soot might enter my house and placed a heavy duty tarp around the firebox. He then jumped up on the roof and walked right up to the precipice. I think he took a couple pictures of the view and then got right to work. Removed, cleaned and inspected the spark arrestor, then swept the pipe. Within 15 minutes he was back inside. Thourough scrubbing and vacuuming the stove took another 30 minutes. He finished up with cleaning up the hearth and dias as well as the fire mats. All said, it took just a little over an hour and less than $200. This outfit will get my business again. Oh! I found out they do sprinkler repair too. So Ill give them a try next spring after the ground thaws.

Rs ago who left my stove pipe leaking smoke. However, the office lady is not an asset to the business. Im being charged another trip and service call ($200) to replace the silver tape on my black stove pipe, because the technician was out of black tape and I neglected to inform them that he might need such a thing. Theyre never coming back to my house. And Ill pay someone else to fix the silver tape.

CBS has Always done an excellent job for us. We have been using this company for 15 + years. Mike Gonzales is always great. He just installed our brand new Free Standing Wood Stove, (him and Gene). He is very knowledgeable and professional. We love him and all of the crew there. We always use them at least 2 times a year for our Chimney cleanings as well
