Horrible place we had got a hotel voucher from them thinking they would consider my kids safety and obviously not because they are so worried about most hotels not taking dogs but theres alot in Albuquerque who does hut instead of worrying about how much more a dog would cost store stay they should be worried about the sanitary issue at the amberly hotel where they put me and my kids my son had an accident and I went to ask for clean sheets so i can also clean his mess as I went to take the sheets off both beds on each mattress had a great amount of old dried blood as well on the bottom of the walls and on the curtains I bring it to the front desk of the hotel and asked for another room and all she said was to open the window to air out the mattress and all the health care for the homeless said theres nothing they can do because the room is paid for like seriously this is my kids health and obviously if theres a covid out there that all hotels should be sanitary including their beds as well as once I made the complaint tho them they should immediately find another place for me and my kids as well as call to the hotel and help me get into a more sanitary room for my kids as well as theres a alot of drug trafficking in all the room under us and next too us all security does is turn a blind eye this place is a dump and I did all call 311 to report a health, sanitary and safety violation on them and I do hope the city does something about this this isnt ok for the elderly or kids period

Every time i came in to see the doctor i get told that they cant see me. I have been out of my medication for 2 weeks. I have seizures and blood clots in both lungs and legs. This place sucks now. I use to praise this place. They used to be a cool place to come to if you neneeded help.

Awesome place with great people working there. Awesome behavioral health team, plus some great medical and dental folks. It is, also, an excellent place to receive VA care through the walk-in clinic held by Myles. Great alternative to the VA Hospital which can be to much for people with PTSD.

This should be -100 rating for an agency that has a huge budget > 9 mil a year, whose director makes 140,000 and their job is to pass out needles to people addicted...by the thousands with no treatment for addiction-- the needles end up all over our parks, play yards, church yards, private property! Why do they keep getting money? Would like to know why dual diagnosis gives an addicted person disability money to spend on drugs??

Reception needs to understand that their clientele cant necessarily make it across town on a whim. When I asked when I needed to come in as soon as possible is not an acceptable answer when you close an hour after you are calling me.

As a person that received services at AHCH, I can tell you this - without their kind and compassionate caring and making me feel like a person, I would not have continued to grow into the person that I am today. Because of services that they provided I got my teeth fixed, mental health issues addressed and am now living as a productive member of society. Mayas Place for Women was what showed me the path to Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless and I have never bee treated so good. I am now in school to help others like me and will never forget the life they gave back to me. Thank you! Kelli Allen

Hi,This is a formal request for someone (who has had experience with healthcare for the homeless) to post a non bias pros and cons about this program. This would be oh so nice because i am doing a project for history on how to help the homeless.Thank you.

Frankly, I was not impressed at all with the the healthcare I received here. Especially, when I asked for a referral to the University of New Mexico Psychiatric Center from Dr. Tri. I saw no reason why I could not receive a referral to UNM when I wanted it and was covered by it with Medicaid! (By the way, if you want to see a real psychiatrist, you need only go to the Start Clinic on Marble Ave NW @ UNM and ask for a referral letter and they will send one to your home). Once you are covered by Medicaid, I would not recommend staying here for healthcare. They do not have a psychiatrist on duty here, only a doctor and psychiatric nurse pracitioners. So, if you need the care of a psychiatrist or other specialist, you will not get it here.

I resisted going to AHCH for a long time, even though I was sick and had no insurance. When I finally did go, it was the exact opposite of what I had assumed it would be. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous to everyone who walked in the door. The office staff is organized and very efficient in their jobs. The nurses and nurse assistants are motivated and do everything possible to help their patients feel comfortable. The Nurse Practitioner are really amazing, and I mean all of them. They are better than M.D.s because they lack that arrogance and indifference one encounters at most clinics. They Pharmacy staff is simply amazing. They remember clients, smile, and make a person (me) feel that things really are going to be better.I really am surprised by the cleanliness and real assistance people get ar AHCH.I am also very much a fan of s.t.a.r.s.( the drop in center) and of course Artstreet.
