It’s a great club. I’m fat and out of shape. I go sit in the hot tub and then swim a few laps. The place is super clean. They provide deodorant and soap! Be careful though because the free hairspray looks exactly like the deodorant. Positive note here is that my armpit hair stayed put. Seriously though, a great club.

Summer camp was a dud and follow-on from management was even worse. My son’s camp counselor became physical with my 7 year old and he refused to go back, even after several attempts to make things better for him. They lost his trust and any sort of comfort while attending, so we dis-enrolled both he and his sister. So, buyer beware, the camp will put their bottom line ahead of the well-being of their campers and nickel and dime you to leave…all while trying to paint us, the parents the as those who should bare the onus for the outcome of their counselors actions and resulting departure.

Del Norte Sport and Wellness is an awesome place. They have a lot of stair-masters and treadmills in town that I have seen. The towel service is great, because it is provided and no need to bring your own bulky towel. I like that Shampoo, Conditioner and Body is provided in the showers. The steam room is awesome, as well as the pools and jacuzzi. There are a lot of activities to do here. If you ever forget your lotion, feminine supply, hair gel, deodorant or small items, it’s already provided for your healthy lifestyle. This is an amazing place, they also have a cafe provided with super healthy alternatives like sport drinks, protein drink with vegan options as well as for food. This place is the best gym in town. The equipment is great, many machines for different muscles and injury focused equipment as well. They have simple CrossFit gear for a high intensity interval training. The free weights are in a great condition. You get what you pay for, but I would put the money down for my health.

Not sure about the negative reviews - the rep clearly laid out all the fees and costs (at least mine did - maybe they were more hidden in the past) when I signed up. You get discounts based on health insurance, age, military status, etc... so the monthly costs will vary by person. Its a fantastic gym with lots to do and they plan to extend it with more goodies. Staff is very friendly, they have plenty of space, gyms scattered all over ABQ that you have access to, and lots of classes included with membership. Im very happy with it. I have been a member of this club for 18 years. Each year they send me a letter telling me that the dues are increasing. THATS EVERY YEAR. Was paying 152 per month this past year but come January 1st looks like its going up again. lets see 152.00 per month thats 1,824.00 per year over 18 years for a total of $32,832. Maybe its time to offer a price hold or even a discount for loyal members. I predict a large fitness chain will enter the Albuquerque market (maybe 24 hour fitness) in the next 5 years. Albuquerque is ready for another option.

I love it here!!!Yes, it is expensive. But I feel worth every penny. The ONLY exercise I will willingly do is swimming. I also work VERY early in the morning (and thus go to bed VERY early ), so every community pool is out. The Y closed their indoor pool (due to a hot water heater issue), and they now only have a outside pool only open a few months out of the year. So my only option is here. That being said, I dont have to bring ANY personal items (shampoo, soap, ect) and free towels. Super helpful when you only have a moped.Let me tell you about Susan...AMAZING, she truly is.She helped sign me up and recently told me how good I look!!!!Out of the 5 locations they have she is the go to one to help you. Also they have 5 locations, depending on what your choice of exercise is, there is a club that can help with that.I like the Del Norte one the best (best pool)It has a country club feel (probably due to the price)I am by no means rich, or even middle class, but again, worth EVERY penny.

I rarely write reviews however my experience was so bad I felt it was absolutely necessary to help educate the general public.Laurie Smith- General Manager personally demonstrates and leads an organization with the worst customer service on the planet!! This organization also loves to hold you and your money hostage. Be extremely cautious if you consider joining this gym and make sure that you are fully aware of the cancelation policies that surround this organization. I wanted to cancel my membership however you can not cancel your membership unless you PHYSICALLY COME INTO THE GYM. In todays virtual world what organization enforces this type of policy? Therefore I was forced to put my membership on suspend. After being out of the state for four months I physically came into the gym to cancel. After previously having to pay an additional full month dues because Laurie Smith creatively waited until the next billing cycle to call call me back I now have to reactivate my membership for 1 more month of dues to cancel with no intention of utilizing the gym moving forward. This gym is not worth the $. There are plenty of reputable gyms in the area that treat their customers with respect and also do the right thing while maintaining a clean and functional facility. This organization is not one of them. I feel sorry for them and their obvious decline in their reputation on google and yelp.If I was a C-Suite Wellbridge executive I would immediately take action on this GM considering the poor feedback written by hundreds of unsatisfied prior members.

The pride matches what you get. They offer so many amenities and the investment they put back into the business reflects it with the plenty of friendly staff, equipment, and enough space to accommodate several exercise rooms. Love the punching bag when I’m needing to get some punches and kicks out. Pretty much any equipment you can think of is available. The only drawback has been when my roommate has paid and set up autopay, the system or staff member made a mistake, finds were in the account, but never pulled out. Even though the system should show past due when we come, nobody addressed it. Kept money in account just in case it pulled late. He went to update the info just in case, and it’s silly that you have to fill out a form in person, but can call a number and update. With these errors a the staff on site should have more access. He did both methods and even showed his bank screenshot showing funds were there Nothing pulled for October and November, and then we get a letter stating we’re past due and accrued nsf fees. Of course, since not our fault all was waived. Supposedly was updated again, but December it happened again and we had to dispute in January for the fees. For a gym that earns so much per client, the billing system should be a lot better than the one I used at Planet Fitness when I worked there a few years ago... just saying paying $72/month at Sports and Wellness vs $22/month at Planet Fitness. I am considering going to Chuze Fitness over these continuing issues. Almost half the price and still has sauna and steam rooms and I can bring a friend or get a hydro massage. Sports and Wellness was my all time favorite and worth the price to me, buy they need to get their autopay together better.

I have been a loyal member of sports and wellness for 3 years. I called today to ask about some group fitness classes that had a dollar sign next to them on the website. I was thinking that these were paid classes and maybe ranged from a couple dollars to 10$ Max. When I spoke to the receptionist she informed me that the website was not up to date, the class did not exist on the date and time noted and that the class, when it is available is 20$ to $35 per class. I clarified with her that this is the rate for members of the club. She said yes but was not sure so she sent me to a voicemail. After paying almost $100 a month for the club I am beyond livid that they would have the audacity to charge its members for group classes let alone 20$ to $35 for an hour long class.

I have been a member for over 20 years and up until the last year or so, I was there almost daily for either a muscle class, a spin class, or a yoga class. Except for the latter, the quality of the classes has decreased due to their sell out to Les Mills- a canned program is NOT as motivational as an instructor who is passionate about her/his teaching. They have forced out many of the good instructors who refuse to use the canned program and the result for me has been mediocre, at best, classes.A few of the the instructors who refuse to be canned instructors are hanging in and their class attendance numbers prove that its the quality of the instructor, not the corporate program that leads to committed participants. It is a beautiful facility, but you pay for it. The cost is increasingly more expensive, and it is beginning to feel like its all about the profit to me. I will probably go elsewhere soon.

Great clubs, great instructors, great trainers and good facilities. The desk staff has always been courteous and respectful. But I cannot say anything good about the new fitness and class coordinators. Just a few weeks before Christmas they terminated two of the finest trainers and class instrucors the club ever had: PCM and LP. These ladies were truly club advocates, were very professional and treated their clients and students with compassion. I do not know what their “infractions” were but management could have discussed it with them, point out the infractions and give them a time period to correct them. Instead, they were fired just weeks before Christmas—tacky, tacky, behavior on the part of certain coordinators. My advice to gym members: do not become too reliant on your trainers and class instructors because one day will be there and be gone the next.

I am very disappointed with Sports and Wellness. All locations are filthy. Black mold in the showers and on shower curtains, vents coated with thick dust, sweat drips and drink spills on the floor and the equipment never gets cleaned. The only locations where I have seen staff cleaning in the fitness areas are Highpoint and DelNorte. However, even though these locations have employees cleaning the fitness areas, what gets missed at every location is the locker room. Cleaning staff are in the locker rooms often, but they dont do anything other than replace towels and fill soap. Perhaps they could also mop the bathrooms and spray down showers with bleach at least once during the day.DelNortes locker room smells like dirty feet. Perhaps a regular schedule of shampooing the carpet would help. Midtown and Riverpoints showers are lined with mold and black/green slime. The water temperature at Riverpoint is dangerous. The showers fluctuate temperature based on water usage in other parts of the locker room so you can go from a comfortable water temp to scalding to cold all within a few seconds. This can be repaired, but they are too cheap to do it.Another area of concern is equipment maintenance. It takes weeks for equipment to be repaired. When the same pieces of equipment routinely breakdown, its time to replace it.More consistency and attention to detail among the clubs would be appreciated. New equipment should be a priority for all locations. The downtown weight room can really use an update. It looks like the downtown location gets all the hand downs from other locations.Sports and Wellness promotes themselves as a premier, country club type facility and they charge accordingly. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and upkeep of their facilities and equipment tell a different story.I have brought these concerns to the management at each location and nothing changes. They dont care about members, just your money.

Went in thinking about quitting and the sales/management person essentially just printed out a cease form without asking why we wanted to leave or selling us on staying. Then because it was March 2 when I tried to quit, he whips out a contract that nowhere on it defines what a month notice entails, and then proceeds to say we were late in cancelling so we have to also pay for April. Thats a simple money grab that the sales guy seemed pleased to point out, which I think is a terrible outlook to have in regards to the members/customers there. The cardio equipment operates with varied resistance and the interfaces often dont work. The culture of the staff here is very laissez-faire, standing around, not wiping machinery down or engaging with members.Ive looked at other reviews on here and it should be a blatant sign that Wellbridge needs to be working on fixing their contracts to better appease members and future clientele - but apparently they dont care, which just reinforces the notion that price gouging and not health is their main objective. They can prove me and the reader wrong, if I dont have to pay past March then Ill delete this review, if I do Ill never take it down.

Nice facility, but I think its not very clean. I primarily workout at Riverpoint and find their gym much cleaner. Del Nortes ladies rooms smell bad. The classes are great with a lot of choice. The instructors are professional and treat each participant respectfully and equal unlike Riverpoint where instructors have their friends in class and act like high school girls.

I absolutely love Del Norte. Everyone from the sales staff to trainers have been incredibly accommodating and helpful. I am reading lots of bad reviews about nickel and diming that has not been my experience at all. As a matter of fact, they let you charge your training sessions so you can start up and pay later. I have fallen behind on payments a few times and they even waived my late fees each time that has happened. My daughters, (who are under the age of 6) are also members. Everyone greets them politely and knows them by name every time we come in. They offer a toddler class called Mighty Mites and it is awesome! If I could give them 10 stars I would. My only complaint is that I cant be there more often. I highly reccommend this gym and if you had a bad experience... Im sorry!

Very disappointed in the old equipment, water fountain falling apart, squeaky spinning cycles, stinky yoga room, etc. And not as many choices for afternoon classes like Defined. Im not sure why Im paying more...For the lotion in the bathroom? Big whoop.

Weve been members for over 15 years and its a wonderful resource. It has everything from well-equipped weight and cardio rooms to great instructors, various classes, including trx, combat, spin, pump, yoga, dance, muscle, pilates, and excellent Les Mills offerings, to indoor and outdoor pools, to basketball, with roomy dressing rooms, towels provided, and excellent child care. All S&W locations around town are included, with racquet sports offered in addition to all the above. Its not inexpensive, but if you like variety, they have it. Its very family friendly.
