YDI is the worst excuse for a non profit. When I first started my career over 10 years ago, YDI was one of the first organizations I applied with. I was basically laughed out of my interview because I was white, educated and had a high and tight from my time in the service. Here is an agency that is suppose to be about mentoring and empowerment. I neglected to say in my interview that I had grown up in New Mexico and spent a year of my life in YDDC as a youth. So here I was a person with a GED and spent a year in a Juvenile dentition Facility in New Mexico and when I got out. I joined the military to set my life straight and used my GI Bill to get a degree in Social Work so I could help and make a difference. New Mexicans need to take a hard look at which nonprofits they choose to donate their money and time to, because with this agency your money will be better spent at lotaburger or the casino.
Because it is very good for our children
