I needed a PSU Cable extender for a new build I was working on. I went to many other stores and no one had it, this was our last stop and they had it. Definetly will be my first stop next time.
Owners a funny dude and very helpful. Will build a sexy PC as well.
Been going here for years. They are my go to for new desktops, maintenance, upgrades, consolidation of older computers into new systems, and virus removal. Always learn something new in the process! Very reasonable prices for the work performed.
Had some hard drive issues recently and came here on a twitter mutuals recommendation. After getting the run-around from a couple of other businesses I contacted, I was a bit worried that an easy-ish fix would eventually turn into a hundred-something dollar data recovery service instead, until I came here.Steve was super professional and helpful and did the required work to get the drive spinning up again in a matter of hours. Even kept the place open long enough for me to stop by, pick up and pay. I plan on coming back here when I need some repair work done on any of my PCs! Incidentally, its also like the only place in town where I was able to find one or two of the more recent Nvidia RTX video cards... not that Im able to afford those at the moment, lol.
I was beside myself when my work and then my personal PC crashed. My work laptop got replaced by my company but then my personal PC was giving me issues and then subsequently crashed! Steve is very personable and professional; he fixed my personal PC and took the time to educate me on the new hard-drive that he installed. I would definitely recommend PC Magic for your computer and/or laptop needs!
Great service and a great attitude but a bit overpriced.
Family owned business great work for a good price.
I didnt get much respect or quality service here. Especially considering I was mourning once of their family members Doug Toca when I visited this place.
Very good guy had the 3080 In stalk very knowledgeable need help with your build this is they guy
At PC Magic Pro you get great advice and service.
Slow do to covid restrictions but reliable
Great place to find computer components.
Great service. Fast and friendly, with a reasonable price.
Cool place. First time they didnt have what I wanted. Still like the store and people.🤓
I brought my work and gaming computer into this place a few months back and I can confidently say they are the best computer shop in Albuquerque. They managed to get my computer back to me on the same day after only a few hours. Not only do they know what they are doing, but the owner and staff are very friendly. I recommend this place for everyone.
Great service, was recommended other options even though they would not profit by telling me so. Very honest!!!
Used them for years. Service reasonable.
Steve, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I recently had some cpu issues and he was able to resolve and improve them at a great price! Highly recommended! Will continue to do business with him!
Insulted my intelligence by telling me that my 4k capable graphics card was too old. I dont care so much about the straight up insult, but its extremely worrying that a computer repair store would lack the proper information on popular computer parts. Especially when there were far more outdated parts in my build like my CPU. Seeing as Im the kind of customer that would only ever take a PC to a shop like this after exhausting all my knowledge, or knowing I have to replace a part, that knowledge is something that I put huge value on.Having one interaction with this company, I can safely say that I will never consider them for a repair or diagnostic that I cant solve myself (which is admittedly rare). But they also wont get my business if I were to have a part go bad (I even need to replace my Hard Drive soon) Theyve lost a potential customer that is new to the area, and one that is extremely loyal to small businesses once we build rapport, which is really easy to do with me in the computer world, because I could talk all day about my dream PC and what kind of work I want to do on my current one.
Only one issue. Needs to be open Saturday!! Lol great store though, they built my custom pc 5 years ago and it’s still competing with newer big box brand computers. Well I guess I’ll have to take a day off of work to come back. But seriously, Saturday!
We needed a new computer. Kevin was remarkable. He gave us suggestions for the computer to buy and where to buy it. Then he transferred all of the data from the old computer to the new one in a very short time, at a remarkably low price. When we could not find our Outlook contacts on the new computer, he remotely fixed the problem at no cost. We highly recommend PC Magic Pro and Kevin for straightforward, dependable, trustworthy, and competent tech support.
They do good work...
Straight forward and honest. I own a business and I know when Im being given a story. These guys have helped me twice to no purchase at the end of each encounter. I know theyre steering me right. And because of that Im going back a third time and I know Ill be buying parts they have.
Thought I was having to buy a whole new computer. It just turned out to be the power supply. Bought it here for half the price of Best Buy, plus they diagnosed the issue for me. I was in and out in 10 minutes and back to what I was working on with my laptop. Defiantly made the right choice with these guys!
This store is by far one of the best computer stores Ive come across. The people are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The store is pretty well stocked and very clean. And the prices can not be beat. They had a direct hand in getting my LGA 1366 based computer back up and running. And able to view their stock online gives you option of planning out your future builds.
Steve and Kevin are some of the most friendly, and funny people Ive met, and they serviced my desktop in the same day, less than 5 hours!Great prices, very clean shop and good selection of products, Ill be going here from now on!
The lady there was pretty knowledgeable. Im a college student, who spends all my time playing games, getting new parts for my multiple rigs, and looking up new tech. The lady at the counter knew everything that I asked about, and even showcased the cases I was looking at, citing all of her products pros. Thoroughly impressed by their large inventory and catering to both the casual user, and the gamers, such as myself. A+
Had the part I needed in stock, and at a more than fair price.
Great place if youre into building computers. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They cost a little more than a place like Newegg or similar online retail sites, but shopping here is local and to me thats worth the extra cash.
I am so grateful for their honesty, their care & compassion. I was having loads of problems. Steve & his son fixed everything! Their prices are so fair & I was able to get my laptop back the same day. A Miracle! LOLThank you for taking the stress away from me & having the laptop working perfectly once again! Howls of Gratitude!
Every time i bring in my PC the staff have always been knowledgeable, polite and especially patient with my lack of understanding the technical processes and language of computers. Even with my out dated PC and operating systems, they never tried to sell me a new PC but recommended a one that would fit with my current needs...one that they didnt even sell in their store. Kudos to PC Magic I recommend them to all my friends and coworkers
I find PC Magic Pro to be honest, knowledgeable and sensitive to my business. Whether it is purchasing a new computer or fixing an existing machine, I have always found them to be accurate on the assessment and expedited on the service. I recommend them to anyone having computer issues or concerns.
Excellent and speedy service. very sincere and truly wanting to help you with your issues, as it was the case with mine.very knowledgeable on computer problems. highly recommend.
Took my laptop in to get more memory. To Save money I went ahead and opened it up exposing the old memory and socket on the counter table for them. The person working there said he recognized that particular memory immediately and said I needed a memory piece he had in stick right there which was 40.00. I bought the memory, took it home and it didnt fit. Next day I took the memory back, and the same exact person said he didnt sell it to me, or remembers me, but went ahead and charged me a 25.00 restocking fee, in which he opened the glass case and put it back. He didnt even walk anywhere. I told him the restocking fee is ridiculous, and his fault, but he didnt care.
Very helpful with an older computer. These folks are friendly and knowlegable.
Ive been here twice in the last month. The guy I spoke to was rude and not very knowledgeable. I wanted to test an amd a8-9600 cpu. He told me that it was an AM3 socket. I told him it was an AM4 socket and before I could pull the specs on my phone he escorted me out the front door. I do not recommend this shop for anything.
Was greeted with hostility by main manager from the moment I walked in. All I asked is to borrow a Dell charger for a few minutes to test out a laptop. I was charged $1 a MINUTE to use the thing, and I even had to request an OEM charger when they brought me some generic one (computer techs should know by now that Dell laptops MUST use OEM chargers or else you will fry the charging circuit). I was even prepared to buy something in exchange for borrowing the adapter. Dont waste your time here, and dont buy their face saving replies to negative reviews because if you are a first time customer and you ask just the wrong question, theyll insult your intelligence. I only swung by because theyre open on Saturday.
One of the Best computer shops in ABQ always nice and helpful. Staff is also awesome!!!!
This is the only place in town I take my computer for repairs. They are friendly, efficient, and honest.
Its a good place to help you build your own custom computer.
Similar experience to that of Cullin Coyle. 14 days is not sufficient time to be able to assess whether a part is suitable for your needs or not. I found a better and cheaper alternative on Amazon (and judging by the limited and fairly generic parts they actually had on display vs. nerd fandom posters, Id say this would be the case for most parts youd be looking for). I tried to return it within their 14 day limit, but they decided to take an extended holiday break and werent open when I came by again. When I pointed this out, they offered me half a refund, which tells me they knew very well the situation wasnt right.Im all for supporting local small businesses, but part of the point is to receive better knowledge and service than a large corporate retailer. This was not the case.
I am in nursing school and I spilled a cup of coffee onto my macbook pro last night.. My entire life was on the computer and it was completely dead. I brought to PCMagicPRO and three hours later I had my computer back totally fixed! It is like brand new! I am so happy with them!
This place is trash and a small part of why retail tech stores no longer really exist. The owner and his son are pretentious and condescending. Good thing I hold my own and would never have to have my computer fixed by retail technicians but honestly if I did I would rather go to Best Buy lol. In the way of selection of products.... not bad, these guys carry a lot of pc parts that no one else in town does BUT again I wouldn’t want to deal with the staff and pricing is not competitive ... really rather order from Newegg or Amazon.
Amazing service n fast COMPLETELY FAIR pricing I fully enjoyed Steve from here I definitely recommend this store for anyone that needs their computer fixed properly and quickly
They built a custom PC for me with all the specs I wanted at a great price. They have eveything you need for your computer. The owner is a funny guy too lol
The people can fix anything.. good job guys
Go to place for tech, excellent help. They actually listen to you and understand you.
My custom built computer was recently having problems, I spent roughly 10 hours total trying to solve the problem. After giving up I went to PC Magic Pro and they ran a diagnostic on my computer, about an hour later they called me with the problems resolved. They even sorted out my cables (This being my first built computer I wasnt sure what to do with all the wires.) I couldnt be happier!
Excellent service, good attitude. Went above and beyond in a repair job for a company computer.
FairI would start by saying that I was given a full refund after two weeks because the staff couldnt manage to order and install an lcd connector cable in my toshiba satellite as well as replace the screen(which I took my computer in for).As far as the pricing, the service as well as the attitude I recieved I felt was well below par. Particularly the fact that when I had my laptop returned to me it was without the bezel screws. Also, I feel as though they were intentionally misinforming me about the difficulty of getting the parts required in order to get me to sell them my computer for next to nothing.Considering that I, a high schooler, manage to fix the issues for half the price and with less than an hour of labor is the main reason for the rating.Just like a car mechanic, if you are inept yourself then taking your computer here to be fixed is reasonable. But dont expect fair play. IE, their charge for just a screen was a hundred thirty five and in reality the screen cost sixty
Awesome store set up and wonderful people.
Great Computers and Peripherals plus Service!!
Quick thurough and neighborly
Good place to pick up some quick parts. Prices are very fair
Horrible. Blatantly verbally homophobic. Charges me and misdiagnoses pc and doesnt fix it.
Had a really good experience.
Limited stock, but it must be hard for a small business to keep high-dollar items around.
Good service
The guy who work at the cash register is a douche bag.
