Alex showed me great customer service. He diagnosed the problem quickly, while I waited and replaced the needed parts immediately. Very rare to find such prompt customer service. He also gave me great recommendations for long term solutions for my computer issues. Great turnaround and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Ive been looking around for somebody to fix my laptop. I then found Gigateks and decided to bring it to Eric, he fixed my computer and had it ready by the date he said it would be ready. His service was awesome and my laptop works great! I also had another laptop and had it recently fixed by the Geek Squad and it was still giving me problems. I had Eric look it over and he fixed the problem at great reasonable price! If youre looking for someone to fix your computer, he is definitely the right person to go to.

Seriously great, efficient, and FAST service. Every time I bring any of my things in, I get help right away and never feel like I am being cheated like the other places in town do. He was a very helpful man and was able to get the solution for me fast, like 15 minutes. He then gave me options to the cheapest ways since Im on a budget. I will definitely be turning to them anytime l have a problem.

Took laptop in to see if the hard drive had failed or not. It had, and the guy working tried to recover data from the SSD. It turns out that the data was lost, but it was definitely the CHEAPEST option in all of ABQ between diagnostics and data retrieval attempts.

I called Gigateks first and had an appointment the very next day. Eric really listened to my issue and diagnosed that my hard drive had died. I was distraught about my priceless pictures and important documents I would lose. Eric offered to try and retrieve the information and if he couldnt do so he would not charge me. He was able to get everything off the hard drive and within a few days had my computer running better than new. I will only take my computers to Gigateks!

Incredibly knowledgable and great customer service. Within an hour of dropping off my PC Alex called to tell me the problem had be solved. He even stayed late so I could pick up the PC the same day. Thats great customer service in my book.

I count on my oldie-but-goodie Windows 7 PC for work from home duties for many hours a day sometimes. When it stopped working, I panicked. Gigateks got the problem diagnosed and fixed within a couple days for way less than anywhere else Id called AND they let me make payments on the repair. AMAZING service. Fantastic price. I do not know where to begin. Gigateks is a phenomenal company. Eric is the technical genius who helps assist you with your industrial issue. He is not only technological savvy, but as well as a people person. He is very fair with pricing, not trying to scam you in any way.I have found all of this out first hand. I am originally from Arizona and decided to attend the University of New Mexico. In the middle of my last semester before graduation, my computer had a malfunction. You could say that I went into straight panic mode, due to the fact that I was in the heart of midterms. I saw Gigateks number on the internet and called right away. I told Eric about my predicament and about my hectic school schedule. He understood and made sure to accommodate me as soon as possible! Eric saved my life! My computer memory was on the fritz and I was about to lose countless film, writing, music and other creative projects. He gave me a quote which was much lower than others I had asked, worked on it over the weekend, and even though there were some complications and he had to put many extra hours into fixing them, he refused to take more money than he had quoted me. He also helped an artist friend of mine retrieve stuff off his computer that would have been impossible to replace, and I always tell my friends, if it can be retrieved, Eric will get it back for you when no one else can! We are very lucky to have him here in Albuquerque and my computer now runs like a dream! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Slow service and bad with communication/ customer support. It seems like they dont want new business/ money and their hours of operation are listed incorrectly.

I am so very glad to have discovered Gigateks. I had been afraid that my laptop needed replacing. Eric took a look at it, diagnosed the problems, and had everything up and running in three days, including the delivery time for parts. I had a question about the performance of my computer in regards to video editing. Alex responded within the day and gave me expert and professional recommendations to improve the performance.

Problem: PowerPoint wouldnt play videos. When a reload of Microsoft Office didnt fix the problem, I took my computer to Alex Morales at Gigateks. He spent a LOT of time exhausting every possible way to fix the problem without a reload of Windows (which would have required me to spend many hours reloading my Apps). In the end, the problem was an error in a recent Microsoft Windows update that could not be recovered and a Windows reload was necessary. But I was very impressed with how thoroughly Alex tried to avoid that necessity. I know a lot of other computer repair shops would have exercised the Windows reload option after just a cursory effort to fix the problem. I was extremely satisfied by my experience!

Eric was able to retrieve the files from our dead laptop when other computer experts had tried and failed. He was fast, professional, and thorough. I highly recommend Gigateks!

I am originally not from ABQ. I was visiting for some business with my macbook pro stopped working! In a frenzy I went to the apple store and it would take at least a week. Best buy was the same issue. Neither of them were able to get my document that I absolutely needed from my computer. Finally on a whim I called Gigateks. I was able to meet the tech after less than 30 minutes. Right away he showed me what was wrong (bad drive). Within a day and a half he not only had my mac up and running, but also the document I absolutely needed! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! If only you were available in Colorado! THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)

I commented initially not knowing owners had changed. Eric, the previous owner lied and took advantage of my desperate situation, he failed to return calls or respond, and follow up as guaranteed. Little did I know he had not performed the service he charged me for and changed out some parts that created other difficulties.Now, Matt the new owner had offered to rectify the issues, but eventually it did not come to fruition and I am displeased.I will not use this service nor would I ever consider to recommend based on my experience with either owner. Sorry, I initially did rescind my comments as requested and gave them a chance to rectify, but I felt I was being played and not offered such a great deal as he thought he was offering. His reasoning was lame and there I felt he was making me out to be ignorant or plain stupid; granted I am not an IT specialist or tech, but I do know enough to make a wise decision on performance features that will best serve my needs and use. I will not be pressured, regardless of my situation, to accept a deal that is not equitable or fair to all concerned. I am not out to get over on anyone, and feel what is prosperous for us both benefits us both.

I discovered Eric on a whim the other day as I was having a slight computer emergency. My USB ports were not working, which hindered the bluetooth receiver plugged in the usb port from recognizing my wireless keyboard and mouse.I did a google search of computer repair shops in Albuquerque and called several stores. Unfortunately, many of them were closed on Sundays. However, I called Eric on a Sunday, and he picked up his phone immediately. After describing my problem to him over the phone, he told me he would meet with me at his office. Upon meeting with him, he promised to have my computer fixed by the following day on Monday. This was less than 24 hour turnaround. Eric was thorough in his work and extremely personable as well. Upon fixing my computer, he told me he would cover my computer up to six months for any related issues that I had on my computer. In short, I liked how he operated his business. His customer service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend him to other people in the community.

I spilled coffee on my macbook pro. took it to the apple store and they told me over 800 to repair. I called these guys - not really thinking anything was possible. However I spoke to the guy on the phone and he told me to bring it in and hell diagnose it for free. turned out it just needed a new magsafe board. he fixed it for me for wayyyyy less than apple. It works great! THANKS!

As the owner of a 15” 5+ year-old (2009) Macbook Pro, I had begun to experience compatibility issues with the OS I was running (Snow Leopard) and my web experience since my browsers – Firefox, Chrome, etc. kept updating to maintain security and stability. Additionally Apple was no longer supporting Snow Leopard so there were compatibility issues with the desktop version of Google Drive and other applications. I have a tendency to run 2 or 3 browsers simultaneously and often leave 10+ tabs open in each browser. This habit was causing me to run a relatively up-to-date (2014-15) web experience on an OS that hadn’t been updated since 2011 or hadn’t been supported by Apple since 2013. As a result I was also experiencing frequent kernel panics.It was time to upgrade my OS, but the age of my computer had me worried that the hardware might struggle a bit with the new software.After a trip to the Apple store I was advised to upgrade my memory (4GB to 8GB) and my hard drive (Hard Disk Drive to a Solid State Drive) not only to prolong the life of my computer, but to support the demands of the latest apps and browsers, etc. The additional memory would also make a huge difference.The only AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) listed by Apple in Albuquerque was Baillio’s – and although they repair a wide-range of electronics and appliances, I just didn’t feel comfortable with them not being specifically computer service or repair specialists.Luckily for me, after a quick Google search for a local specialist I found Gigateks!What originally sold me on Gigateks were all the rave reviews. Out of 15 reviews, 14 of them were 5-star. Furthermore, customers not only seemed pleased – they were ecstatic! They also kept mentioning Eric the technician by name. This not only made me feel very comfortable, but rest assured that if I was able to work with Eric, everything would go smoothly.And smoothly it went! Not only was Eric very helpful and knowledgeable, he was also perfectly fine with me ordering the components I wanted (recommended by the Apple Store), and then installing them for me. Really great service. I called them because my computer was not turning on. They sent a someone out to my house in like 2 hours. When the guy came, he immediately began working on my computer, and had it up and running in like 30 minutes. I mentioned that I have another computer which is a mac and it was giving me problems as well. He told me that they work on Macs as well, and asked to take a look at it. He knew right away what was wrong - port for magsafe charger needed to be fixed. He ordered the part and within two days had it fixed just like new! Eric, I hope your boss sees this, YOU DEFINITELY DESERVE A RAISE!!! lol :) THANK YOU SOOO MUCH. Absolutely recommend gigateks to everyone!
