Dr. Dans is one of those special places you find, usually by sheer luck, and keep coming back to. The staff here is always super knowledgeable. I have bought multiple items here, and have all my repairs done here. They are affordable, quick and always seem to have what I need.

I took a large pile electronics to be recycled. Several desktops and laptops, and wanted one laptop repaired. They switched laptops and tried to give me an old laptop in place of the newer one I wanted repaired. I am from out of town. They are thieves and lie to anyone, to get over on anybody. I recommend not going here ever!

I purchased a Macbook Pro months ago for around $400 from Dans Computers. I stopped in today after being told they had a laptop to offer that runs faster then the Macbook I purchased from them and was told that they would do an even trade (not what I had expected) I was perfectly fine with trading in the Laptop I had purchased and paying additional to receive one that runs slightly faster. I made the trip the entire way and when I arrived was told they would only value the trade in (that I purchased from them) for $150 and that the only laptop they had available was priced at $800. Very inconvienent for me and definitely was not worth the trip. I will not do business here again.

My laptop got sprayed with water - the computer was destroyed. Dr. Dan saved all my data and pictures. He did this while I waited (other places wanted 6-10 days or a lot of extra money to prioritize my computer). I am very grateful; having my documents will help me as I continue to work from home. Dr. Dans Computers is absolutely one of the best repair facilities I have ever encountered. Shane is one of the nicest people I have met. He took the time to explain to me what was going to be done to my laptop during the repairs. My hard drive had failed and I thought I had lost everything. When I picked up my laptop I was pleased to see all of my files and especially the pictures had been recovered and at a reasonable cost. Total my repair was $145.00 . I could not be more pleased with the professionalism of Dr. Dans staff. I will continue to be a loyal customer .

Do not trust this place! I took an iPad into this store for a simple repair of a changing port, and when I got the tablet back 3 days later they had left my tablet in shambles, they completely destroyed the touch sensor and almost destroyed my tablet completely, and the outside had some damage on it like it had been thrown or roughly placed onto a table, my tablet will not turn on and is likely ruined, they were very inconsiderate of how fragile apple products can be especially tablet screens and sensors, I will not be returning here again do not trust them they will leave you’re apple products either destroyed or in shambles.

I have had a lot of experience building computers. But when my custom built stopped displaying or outputting a signal to my monitor and my keyboard. And when the liquid cooler stopped working. I couldn’t figure out the problem. Do we dans computers not only charges me a very very cheap price to fix it. But in one day came up with an insanely smart decision on how to fix the ram issue. Not to mention their extremely great service and kind and funny workers. Five out of five starts well earned.

What a joke took my pc to them and I’ve been experiencing problems with it they tell me that nothing is wrong maybe it’s the plugs at my apartment so I had those checked payed, I payed 100 in repairs just to bring my pc home after they say it ran all day just to start it and have the same issue I call back and they say “Idk it ran all day” like thanks that’s exactly what I want to hear so I bring it to another company and less than 12 hours later I know that my motherboard is bad and my cpu which is 600 in parts not to mention 200 for another professional company to look at it moral of the story if you have money and patience to waste this is the company for you what a JOKE this is why supporting local isn’t worth it.

I was happy to have found Dan’s computers.We had a prank in the house and water landed right in the keyboard, which was already broken, but the water did the final job. It was upsetting, but this was an old computer. Nevertheless it’s the kitchen connection to the world, news recipes and so much more it needed to be functional. It was hard to find a replacement keyboard, but Dan’s computers got the job done. I really did not want to get another machine, and contribute waste. Thank goodness places like this can still be in business.

My keyboard had to be replaced after a liquid spill. They were able to work on it quite quickly. Ran into the same problems later, when the same keys that would stick started to stick again. I spoke with one of the service people, who said the part was past warranty-warranty being one month from the date they purchased it (it was about 5 days past that date)-so I would have to pay for a new part and labor. On the receipt, they listed the replacement keyboard as new; over the phone, he said it was used-so, I had no idea it was reconditioned. Im unwilling to continue to work with them, given the poor service. So, I am out $160 with the same problem I started with. Do not recommend.

Bought two laptops for my kids for school from Dr. Dans, both work great and were reasonably priced. Very glad that Dr. Dans has inexpensive laptops in stock many of the big box stores are sold out! If I ever need another computer I will come back here.

Had a bit of an issue where my PC just gave out, couldnt figure out what the issue was whatsoever. Did some research and asked around and was referred to Dr Dans Computers. They did a quick, professional, clean and extremely exceptional job at getting my computer back up and running even faster than when I took it in. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Dr. Dan was recommended by my brother to repair my computer. My computer broke on Monday morning I took it in at 2:30 pm they called me at 4:30 to tell me what was wrong with my computer. They fixed it immediately I was able to pick it up on Tuesday morning. If I would have been able to take earlier that day I would have had it the same day. The staff isvery knowledgeable, nice and the price to repair is very reasonable. Shaun the manager is very sweet. I highly recommend this company. I was so worried that the cost to repair would be almost as high as buying a new one, I was wrong! They charge for a diagnostic test but waived it and only charged me for what my computer needed. It only cost me $43. for the repair. I will take my computer there again. I was very pleased with their service. Thank you Dr. Dan!!!!

Bought a gaming laptop here nearly four years ago. Its been a good PC. Bought a couple PC parts over the years. A bit rough appearance to the place which honestly I kind of enjoy. The staff arent the best. I think if you get the owner youre better off. He seems to know more about the inventory. All in all, they had what I needed at a decent price.

Ive made several purchases and had plenty of hardware serviced. Really glad I did.

Diagnosed my laptop and quickly found the issue. Had it repaired and returned in 2 days. Cant ask for more in my opinion. The cost was reasonable as well.

I first went into this computer store in 2015 just to look around. I wasnt impressed. Then I had some homework due by midnight and the time was 5 something pm. I drove there just before the man was leaving. He agreed to take a look at it and he fixed it for $40. I was extremely grateful! Thus began my dealings with Dr. Dans. The customer service there is phenomenal to me! I only go there now. No more Best Buy computer guys for me, only Dr. Dans!!

I purchased a ram stick from them wasnt very expensive but it didnt work for my computer im not sure if it was compatibility issue or if it went bad that quickly need to look in to it more. They did have good customer service when i arived though.

Home computer had too many OS issues to upgrade to Windows 10, so I went to Dr Dans for a faster replacement with a clean install of Windows 10. Left with a quad core HP adequate for my needs at a great price. The system was ops checked & memory upgraded to my specs on the spot - in & out in no time, without having to drop a ton of cash I didnt have on a brand new system.

I went in and the man knew exactly what I needed and was very nice. I recommend this place for fast and nice customer service.I would NOT recommend absolute ! The guy is super rude and will tell you your computer is fried if his rigged supplies dont work

Dr. Dans Commputers has been a life saver for me more than a few times. Where pretty much every other repair place Ive been too charges for an initial diagnostic and makes you wait a few hours, these guys have been willing to take a look at my stuff quickly and efficiently.Theyve never lied to me, or tried to sell me extra products and theyve always been able to advise me appropriately.These guys are great, polite, and they know what theyre doing. They always do a great job. Sometimes we go in with little things for my work and they didn’t even charge us. I gave up on the Apple store last week having been kept waiting for too long, and found out that these guys also do Macs. I could get a new battery for cheaper than the Apple store! And I can just leave the computer and come back and get it, so much quicker than having to sit there at the Apple store.

Absolute best computer buying experience. Dr. Dans, despite the non-fancy exterior storefront, is a hidden gem in the Albuquerque computer repair/refurbishing business. I was looking for a quality Dell desktop computer with good processing speed, a large matte screen monitor, and peripherals. After browsing websites like Amazon and NewEgg, talking to Best Buy sales rep, and calling a few other ABQ computer places, I was feeling stressed at the lack of simple options and the high prices for new machines, and lack of affordable refurbished machines. Then I called Dr. Dans. I explained what I needed for my budget and was assured that there were excellent options and that I should come have a look. I did, and when I arrived, he already had the perfect machine picked out for me, had the exact monitor I was seeking, upgraded the hard drive to a solid state,and included the keyboard, mouse, and cables as part of the overall deal. I spent $100 less than my budget and got a machine that had I purchased it new, would have cost me up to twice as much. The entire process was stress free and legitimately enjoyable. I even got to test out the computer in the shop to make sure I liked the feel and speed of it. I definitely recommend Dr. Dans. My dad has been bringing our family computers here for years and now my husband and I are customers too. Our computer had serious hardware issues - they didnt find everything on the first visit but we brought the computer back within the 30-day warranty period and got it resolved with no additional labor costs. On both visits our computer was ready for pickup the next day. Very pleased with the service and turnaround time.

After taking our laptop in twice for hard drive repairs, we are very pleased with the service at Dr. Dans. They were able to repair and back up data that two big box places said were beyond repair. I had to file a “Complaint” with the Better Business Bureau concerning the purchase of a “Replacement Battery” for my Laptop, I went in and purchased a “Used” DOA Warrantied battery that did not work and was then returned, which then was followed up by a “Subsequent” Order for a new one that I made a request for in April of 2015 that was never filled and my “monies” for the purchase of the “Used” Battery never refunded. I was issued a Credit Memo for a “Exchange/Store Credit” only, however I have no desire to ever frequent this “Establishment again”. During the “Compliant Process”, Mr. Dan Conejo informed the Better Business Bureau that the new Replacement Battery I had requested would now cost (3) three times what I was originally quoted which was $60.00 plus tax, he (Mr. Dan Conejo) stated “They are available for $180.00 but that is much more than the value of Mr. Luceros laptop”, however I was able to go online and purchase a new “Replacement battery” with a (1) one year Warranty with shipping included for $31.99 from the Battery Depot that “shipped within 24 hours. I have yet as of this Posting of August 2015 received my Refund.

Took a tablet for analysis and tech did it on the spot for free. Also bought a used computer which turned out to be bad, and they rebuilt the whole thing under warranty; been running great since then.

Dr, Dans is a small computer repair shop in Albuquerque, NM that sells super cheap, mildly made ready for market (used) computers. Its not factory makeover for sure.There is no sign on the wall that I could see that says, We Sell Computers AS IS.Now, beware, Im like you maybe, I see a price, I see a product and there is a certain expectation that the product will work, more than mildly for a decent price that is literally $50.00 away from brand new.The computer they wanted to sell me for $250.00 didnt have all of its drivers (software that makes the computer work), the web cam was not working, it was actually broken, there was very little pride of retailership, becuase all of the computers looked like they were stuffed in a dank garage long enough to look very used. Not cleaned or dusted.Let me be fair though. If his web site said As Is I would have never gone there except for parts.I was able to put my foot down and say, I came here to buy a product that worked to a reasonable excpectation.A. Boot up good.B. All the parts work, i.e. USB ports, Web Cam, keyboard, etc.C. Its needs to not over heat.I think you get my drift.Here is my bottom line:I made it perfectly clear after hearing them say, we just sell this stuff as is, that Im here for a computer that works for the price your selling, I didnt ask for a parts purchase. At this ponit I knew all to well why a number of the reviews are less than glowing.So, you can get what amounts to a good unit for a low, low price, but if you dont have the time to haggle, or the patience to go through all the junk I did to get a really good used computer, then dont go to Dr. Dans in my opinion.My review is honest, if they really wanted to be King of the Hill, Dr. Dan needs to really support the purchaser by selling only items that have had the investment of time, tender care and special sense of obligation to his customers that it works well going out the door, and have more than a latent concern about the poor press he gets from just allowing customers to believe they are getting a good computer, when its more like a good luck parts deal.I did receive a few extras for the hour I invested in them putting it into a useable product. A nice computer bag, an extra cable that I really needed that was rare and hard to find.In the end, I got a sense of satifaction when I said I want someone to earn my hard earned money, not someone who just wants to take my money. That put a spark into the sales flow that wasnt there from the moment I entered the establishment.Again, this is my preception of what happend and only my personal opinion.Im sure they always intened to do no harm, but in life, you only get what you push for, or else life will give you doodle on a stick and call it gourmet stick tar tar, lol. Good Day. :-)P.S. They do have a 30 exchange policy,. Its offers on a set of return policies rules that spell out in grave detail, you get what you pay for etc. Live with it, or leave it, but youll get what you pay for if your are willing to push to get it from Dr. Dans Computers.

People were nice, and very affordable. Nothing, and I mean nothing like PC Magic, and Absolute Used Computers, or Sandia Computers (where you get to see the owner Stew yell obscenities at his wife all day.
