I requested 2 separate vehicles to be shipped - both from states within ~500 miles. I was quoted 2-3 weeks before I was able to test drive/purchaseIt’s now been 4+ weeks with absolutely zero communication from anyone at the location. I even spoke to a sales manager (which I had to call and wait on hold for 30 plus minutes just to finally get someone located in store) at the store who stated it was still waiting on inspections and the title from Texas (why do you have to take so long to inspect it again? Didn’t it come from a CarMax who already inspected it?)Regardless - I’ve sold my vehicle privately since I got more than what they offered me (which is fine) so I’ve been without a vehicle for a week. Luckily I have a friend who still works there that has tried to keep me in the loop as much as possible. Apparently we’re still at LEAST another 1-2 weeks away from getting my vehicle ready. So 2-3 weeks has not turned into 1-2 months with absolutely ZERO communication. Being a previous employee, I know EXACTLY how the process works here - and apparently covid has caused the Albuquerque to trundle downhill significantly. You’d think if you’re spending 40k+ On a vehicle youd at least be treated like a human. Shop somewhere else - or fly to another CarMax like I am: save yourself unnecessary time and money spent waiting for them to get their stuff together
Everything went smoothly. No issues or complaints. The process took a while because it was very busy.I got the full price offer made on line so I was pleased with that and they offered more than expected. Very happy with entire scope of deal. Everyone employee was pleasant. I was looking to trade it and the emphasis to find a new vehicle with CarMax was not given but that was not a big deal for me.
Its been weeks, and I still dont actually have my vehicle. But they have my money! Took 2 tries just to get the transaction started. Then an additional 3 weeks to get it to my local lot, even though the tracking number said it arrived in 5 days. Paid my fees, signed my paperwork, drove it home, and it immediately started having problems. Its now been sitting at the local repair shop for nearly 2 weeks. No follow up, no updates, and no vehicle. Be careful when shopping here!
The car was excellent; just what was wanted. The price was very competitive. The service is almost completely impersonal and takes some getting use to. If you dont mind the unexplained waits, the results are quite satisfactory. The phone system was intermittent, could be frustrating, but, ultimately provided excellent communications.I strongly recommend CarMax, but the experience can try your patience
Ask for JUAN LUCERO...hes been there eight years (I believe). Hes worked in the Business Offiices AND in Sales. He knows how to help you get the car you want, covers all the details Quickly and Professionally. My family bought two cars from him last month. Oh, and his daughter is a Service Writer!GOOD FOLKS!
Service call - seamless! Appointment made, appointment kept, did the requested repairs quickly. All timely!
Spoke to Pam over the phone, she was such a pleasure I almost didnt want to get off. She was truly a joy.
Awesome experience they took us right in and we met a wonderful young lady named Brianna who had the car assessment in 25 minutes or less and then we were turned over to Jeremy who did the paperwork and it was so wonderful the experience. I recommend CarMax to all people who are looking for used car or looking to sell their car. Thank you guys youre all awesome!
This place absolutely does not care about the customer. We found a car we wanted, made an appointment, showed up 10 minutes early and still waited almost an hour past our appointment time to even be seen. Everyone is distracted and robotic. There were some issues with the car that they promised to fix and two months later they are still figuring it out. The second you sign anything, they are done with you. They literally gave us the keys and had us go in the parking lot and find the car ourselves. Didnt bother walking us out, no personal touch. They made numerous mistakes with the title and just keep issuing temporary tags. Two months later, I still dont have the paperwork. Im on the phone for the 4th time now to get it straightened out and Ive been on hold now for over 20 minutes. I have met friendlier, more personable employees at big car dealerships.
Had some nice cars, got excited about a couple but the place doesnt even have the courtesy to say hello or greet us in anyway. Walked the whole place, picked out some cars we liked only to find out they were either sold or on hold and no way of knowing that without talking to someone. I had to get someones attention myself as well by the way. Didnt seem like anyone really wanted to sell any cars from my point of view. I probably wont be going back there.
Richard was awesome! Super friendly and more than willing to work with us unlike the previous employee we met, Andrew who wouldn’t even run our application. And wouldn’t stop circling us as we were in the purchase process. Ask for Richard, hes tall and has red hair! Awesome guy!
This was the absolute worst dealership experience I’ve ever had. Juan our sales person was rude snotty and unprofessional. He hardly talked to us. Did not treat us with any respect. When I say us me and my son. We were there to purchase a transfer. A deal and transfer I had already worked out with the call center. And Juan just tore it apart to the point where the deal was unrealistic. Dam all I can say is worst place ever. And I thought other dealerships were hard to deal with. I’d go back to those places anytime compared to CarMax Abq and Juan the sales rep.
Fantastic experience with CarMax they were very helpful and explained concepts to me simply and effectively. They also knew that payment would take a while so they told us to go get dinner and they reimbursed us which was unexpected but very appreciated. It shows that they care about us and our experience there. We had Dov help us out and he was expectional kind and quick to help stood by us the entire way. Overall I am very happy with my experience and would highly recommend!
I absolutely love and appreciate the time and effort that was taken to help me out today. Especially want to thank Tiana and Lena for all your help with my new purchase you both made the process super easy and quick if do everything online 😊. Much thanks!!
We bought our rav4 from this location this year! Everything is by appointment which is nice. There is no haggling and everything is straight forward. You need two proofs of residency! The customer service is great and they are a reliable place to purchase cars from (my family frequently used this company). 4 stars only because there was a lack of communication between departments.Buying our car here was the biggest headache! Long story short we had only lived here for 2 weeks but came from overseas so needed a reliable car asap! We were told military orders would count as one form of residency, but we needed another. We returned with our rental agreement a few days later and were told it wouldnt work! There is an obvious lack of communication between sales person and the finance people (who you sign with). The person we signed the paperwork did his best to help us figure it out so we wouldnt have to drive all the way back down to Alamogordo. He allowed us to email him when our renters insurance paper work came in.Id buy a car from them again if we ever needed too! The process was just stressful.
The process was straight forward, I was very happy that it didnt turn into a massive sales intervention. I was quoted a price based on my online submission, and after verifying the offer was respected. I was honest about the condition of the car so I am very pleased with how i went. Why not 5 stars? The wait was rather intensive considering there was very little interaction necessary. As straightforward as it was, it was from one waiting area to another. So the one area of improvement is the wait time. Other than that, the process is perfect and when we need to purchase a car we will be checking out CarMax first!
The sales person assured us this crack in the windshield would be fixed after purchase. He gave us the paperwork for the service department and we had to schedule the repair a month out. Ok thats fine. However, when our appointment date comes, we leave the car there all day as requested, and when we go to pick it up, they said it had already been fixed prior to sale, and they cant do anything else about it. Thats as good as its going to get repaired. This is unacceptable. I would not have purchased a vehicle with a cracked windshield.. We also have the warranty from CarMax and the service department still wont fix it or replace it.While the actual buying process was great, their service department has ruined my experience with CarMax totally.
Great experience from the shopping, to selecting, shipping, talking with customer service, notifications of status, scheduling delivery, and the actual delivery. Every single step up to delivery was easy, efficient, friendly, professional, and courteous. The only odd thing was getting a printout of all the sales paperwork. We received the printout in the mail, (thats a nice touch as we could have printed) it addressed in handwriting (not as professional as the rest of the process, but ok), with postage due (maybe that was a mistake?). Other than that, very nice.
The buying experience was great. They had the car I wanted no haggling at Carmax. However they seemed very unorganized. I understand we were 10 minutes late to an appointment but the rep couldnt find the car. When he did find it, it was behind 2 other cars and the rep said the battery in one of them was dead. So it seemed like the rep was stalling us to bring the car out to jumpstart the other car. I feel because I made an appointment for the car I wanted they should have had it out on the lot ready to test drive. There was a lot of waiting around for our rep. And when he was available we were waiting for a manager or the business department to sign on things. Our appointment was at 9:30 am. We drove away around 3pm. I expected it to take about 3 hours but 6 hours is ridiculous
I was in to sell a car as part of settling an estate. Everyone was helpful and courteous. I was a little disappointed that the process took nearly three hours since Id brought all legal documents, lien holder statements, and my DL. Id had an online offer which the appraisal, which only took a few minutes, confirmed. The rest was back office stuff that seemed to take forever. Maybe theres something about that part of the business I dont understand, but the fast and easy part didnt work for me.
Sales was wonderful but the sitting for an hour plus for the business office made the experience not so good they sad three deal s in front of us and one hour later still waiting. Get more people if it takes that long. Gen manager should be helping with business office one person is clearly not enough
My experience at CarMax was the first with them. I was genuinely surprised at how quickly the process went. My salesman was knowledgeable and personable, my closing of documents was also seem less so I really appreciate them for making my experience a good one.I am still waiting on my account information and my tag. But hopefully soon!
I order my Nissan Armada on the 4th of last month ! This place is a joke ! I paid the Transfer fee a month ago exactly and no ones giving me answers ! It sad to say I’m getting Treated this way ! I’m just going somewhere else tomorrow. They can keep my transfer fee ! Just don’t come to this place they don’t care ! I went in person and just got no answer either !
I was surprised by how easy my visit was. The sales associate went through the contract thoroughly and answered all my questions without hesitation. I am happy to say, I will be going to carmax for my next purchase.
I had a car transported from another state. I was told it would take 5-7 days to process inspections once the car arrived. It took two weeks to get my car. Had I known the process was going to be so slow, I would have used another dealership.I then had an appointment to test drive the car, which took nearly an hour of waiting to get service.
When we looking at car prices with the sale person. He said “you won’t be able to finance that” why he was giggling a little bit. So I said I could. So he then turns around and asking me what I do for a living. I have never be so insulted in my life!!!Do not go there at all!!!!!
The entire process to choosing a vehicle, to having it delivered and then test driving it was full of misinformation, bad service and was a total of 15 days longer then what was told to me on what the entire process would look like. Once I bought the vehicle, I had to go to the dealership on 3 different occasions to finally buy the vehicle. I was told to apply for CarMax financing first before I choose my bank to finance it. That was incorrect information and not needed, now I have two credit checks against my credit score due to this misinformation. The staff was not attentive and again mislead me on what the steps were to eventually buy the vehicle. No one ever apologized after I shared the experience, all I wanted in exchanged was understanding and that never happened. My advice is this: if you do not know the answer to a question - do not make it up - just be honest and say you do not know the answer. I would have been totally okay with the associates not knowing the answer. Misleading me on ten different occasions throughout the entire process is what caused the bad experience.
Overall, we got a good price for our trade in and for the new vehicle. However, even though price for both sides of trade were agreed on before hand and had appointment with the sales team, we were there for OVER 5 HOURS. Had to threaten to not do the deal at one point to get the price from online offer for trade in.
I went to CarMax to try to trade in my 2017 Fiat 500e. They let me look on the lot and see what kind of cars they had for sale. I did test drive a 2016 VW beetle and a 2017 VW Passat. But we couldnt make a deal. What a long time ago I did buy a couple of cars from this CarMax before. I had a very good experience a long time ago. Today I also had a good experience looking at vehicles and test driving cars. The car salesman was very professional. If I could go on your app and be able to find a vehicle I probably go back do this CarMax again.
Buying car seemed easy and sales person, Rick was great. BUT, the first time I took the 2018 Honda CRV on the highway, the engine power light came on and I am still waiting for a call back from the service department. I’ve left 2 voicemail messages with no return calls so far. I’m seriously considering returning the vehicle for a refund.
The purchasing and shipping of the vehicle was an easy process. When I received the vehicle I had an issue with the inside lights. Called the sales person who told me to contact the service department. I left several messages with the service department and have yet to get a call back 4 weeks later. Apparently they do not listen to their messages or return calls.
My experience was great. I got a CarMax quote from Edmonds which was very good (much better than dealer would give for trade-in). When I went in to the CarMax office they made me an offer that was $300 above the online quote. The whole experience was relaxed and easy - no high-pressure stuff at all. The price was pretty close to retail value and I didnt have the hassle of selling it to strangers on the street. I plan to use CarMax for selling all my vehicles in the future.
It was fast and easy. I picked the vehicle I wanted online, and received a call from CarMax internet sales team to follow up on the vehicle history and usage from past owner. I decided then, with all the information I received from sales team that it was the vehicle I wanted and ultimately got. I did most of my paper work over the phone and went in to get my vehicle. Best experience Ive had buying a vehicle. Definitely recommend CarMax to anyone who doesnt have a whole lot of time waiting at a big dealership.
Crazy experience. Got an appraisal for $3k to buy my car, and it expired by 2 days. Called local Carmax to set up appointment to have redone - was on hold for 20 min and no one ever picked up. Went online to make an appointment for appraisal, required I do an online offer. That came at $3,200. Went to appointment, offered $1,500 then they changed it to $2,500, then they changed it to $3,200. When I went in to sell the car 2 days later there was one ahead of me. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to process carmax buying my car with no lien holder(s), original title, two sets of keys, car already cleared out. This was a very marginal experience.
To be truthful, CarMax was an incredibly frustrating experience. My family and I spent a total of 10 physical hours sitting inside CarMax between three separate appointments. This time does not include the countless hours I spent on the phone with CarMax and my own personal bank to make this buy/trade-in happen. I did not feel cared for or listened to by the team as a whole. It was also difficult that I had to re-explain my situation to each person I interacted with. I am very happy with the vehicle I purchased, however the process was terrible and I will not be buying through CarMax again.
The online offer and in person car appraisal process was quick and fair. The business Department experience, however, upon deciding to Sell my Car to CarMax, was extremely slow and full of ridiculous steps. Allow yourself plenty of extra time if selling, especially on a weekend or holiday.A courtesy lift after you sell your vehicle would be a huge boost to customer service.
Nice staff and quick service. Went in for an appraisal. We ended up getting a better offer elsewhere but the experience at carmax was pleasant.
I had a car shipped in to Albuquerque and it was very smooth and easy. MARK was awesome making the process easy. I would definitely buy another car from carmax again. Promises made Promises KEPT!!
I bought a 2013 Altima thinkn Im getn something fresh off da lot and the transmission blows, catalytic converter blows these were regular maintenance they should have done before selling me vehicle so check your car well after u purchase because I dont believe they do anything to prep these vehicles for sale to a hard working customer. I may be a Karen but I fell they should have went through the vehicle well before a sale. Least they can do you have a whole mechanic shop in the building
On the positive side, we got a great car and didnt have to drive to California to see it and then drive it all the way back to Albuquerque once we bought it. On the negative side, I couldnt talk to a human unless they called me and it took a long time (+3 weeks) to test drive/buy the car.
Terrible experience. I received an online offer from CarMax to buy my car and made an appointment to accept it. With an appointment for a specific time, I thought someone at CarMax would be expecting me. Nope. (Why bother then?) When I arrived, the signs said to park in a reserved spot and call the number. I parked and called and got a general recorded message stating to press a number if Id like to speak with a live person (um, yes) or to go inside. So I went inside, and there was no one greeting people entering the building to provide information. I stood and looked around. No one met me. So I went to the counter and was asked if I needed help. Never was I asked if I had an appointment. (Why bother making an appointment??) I explained I was there to redeem an online offer. After that the information provided to me was minimal. I spoke to about five people and I never spoke to the same person twice. And, they went through the assessment and offer process all over again. (Doing it online is just to get you in the door -- there is no value to the customer at all, because they do it all at the store any way.) My experience was haphazard, disjointed, inconsistent, some information provided to me was incorrect. The last person who spoke to and helped me and who finally closed the deal was the only person who seemed to take time and care to help me. At one point, when I told him something I had been told, he said, Who told you that?! I said, I dont know; I havent spoken to the same person twice. He heaved a sigh in clear frustration that the process seemed to have broken down. This last guy (Marcus, I think) was kind, patient, and empathic to the fact that by then I had been there for so long. By the time I left, I had been there for over an hour. They were NOT short-staffed.
So lets start out how customer service sucks! I came here to sell my truck first they give me a really low offer, I get past the low offer and still sell. I get all the paperwork to them they tell me to hav a seat we will be about 20 minutes 3 hours later still sitting here. IM JUST SELLING!
Got the car that I wanted but the wait for the salesperson was too long. Booked my appointment for 630 pm. Salesperson was not ready until 730 pm. Wanted to test drive 2 cars but could only drive 1 because there was not enough time before closing. Update, I recently had my car in to service center for a minor repair. The did an outstanding job of fixing the problem quickly. Special thanks to Mike for keeping me informed of what was being done. I’m was very satisfied.
These people sold my car immediately but when I wanted to return their car they were unavailable. They didnt give me a title to their car so I had no car and they wouldnt give me a loaner. Getting my money back was also a hassle.
Horrible experience. Still dealing with a poor quality customer service. They are not addressing my issues. Getting the run around. Not happy at all at this point. Hopefully some kind of upper management will hear this and right the situation.Update. I think they are going to fix my situation. If they do I will re rate to 5 stars
Best experience ever, transaction went super smooth, we love our car, andHendrick_De-Bruijin, and Carlos were super professional.
I sold my vehicle to CarMax after receiving an on-line offer from them for my vehicle. The whole process was highly efficient & pleasant. They honored their on-line offer to me, & made the transaction an easy & enjoyable experience. Great company & great staff! Thank you!
What’s the point of making an appointment if we have to wait 30-60 minutes to be seen? No one came out, so we left
Great experience. Quick, easy, and gave me full price for my car. Extremely satisfied.
I was honestly expecting my visit to be a pain but I was actually very happy. The process of selling was very easy. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the market for buying or selling a vehicle.
This was a seamless process. We saw the car we wanted to purchase online, made the appointment, went on a test drive and purchased. Fastest and most hassle-free two hours Ive spent at any dealership!
I mean, I got a car. It was a hassle even though I paid cash(which honestly was the biggest hassle. They were nice enough but neglectful. Everyone seemed distant and like they didnt want to be there. I dont blame them
Worst car buying experience Ive ever had. Please dont go here.
The easiest car buying process I have ever experienced
My experience was bad customer service was bad everything at Carmax was so UNORGANIZED!! I did not have a great experience here the car that he sold me was bad I had to go back and get a new vehicle I recommend not to come here at this location I called for new Registration and they said they will print out for me but when I get there person at front said they can’t print it for me they lied too much!!! Just wasted my time coming here I thought CARMAX was the best but I guess NOT they just do is LIED and ripped the people off!!!
Called for appointment to see a vehicle..was saw on time, salesman was very helpful..test drove the vehicle & was given a great deal on my trade in.. Very Happy with how they go through every step with you.. thanks CARMAX
IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULDbought car on 1/31I went to Carmax OBVIOUSLY so they can sell me a new vehicle and take my old vehicleCarmax representative did not remove my name off the title even though I have the bill of sale, and the title with her signature showing it was sold to CarmaxThe car I sold Carmax was sold by them to someone else. I received a letter in the mail from the FREAKING DEA saying they seized my property and I now have to file in court in regards to the car I sold to Carmax because they did not remove the car out of my name. On the date of sale, Samantha Lujan confirmed WHEN I ASKED SPECIFICALLY if I needed to do anything else in regards to selling them my vehicle that I would not need to do anything else besides sign my name and they worked with the MVD to remove my name. They SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE WITHOUT REMOVING MY NAME. When I call the location they tell me “oh you didnt mail in xxx piece of paper?”. I LITERALLY ASKED THAT GIRL WHAT I NEEDED TO DO AND SHE SAID NOTHING JUST SIGN IT OVER. When you SELL a car you have the bill of sale and the title signed over. IT IS THEN THE OTHER PERSONS RESPONSIBILITY to then go to MVD and remove the sellers name. CARMAX sold the vehicle to someone else without completing that step.
Great place to get a car Adam and the rest of the staff stayed late so I can drive home todayThanks guys!!!!!!!
This was my second experience selling a car to CarMax. The first was a few years ago at a location in Dallas and everything was quick and seamless. The second experience was a little dicier. I got an online quote and scheduled a time on a Thursday to come in to have the car appraised in person. Because I was coming from Socorro, it was about an 80-mile drive each way. I ended up getting there a few hours early but was able to have the car assessed and they presented me a formal offer that matched the online appraisal, which was great because I feared getting a value that was different given that many places give you inflated offers to get you in the door and then give you something lower once you get there. I went car shopping and bought a new car over the weekend in Colorado and drove back down the following Monday, Memorial Day, to finalize the sale of my old car. I had all of the information, including payoff amount for a 0% loan and ordered a Lyft to go pick up the car to drive up to them, going in the store to see if they could get the payout verification started while I was getting the car. I was referred to the buying office area, where I was asked to send the loan information to an email, I did, and then they said the information wasnt good enough because it didnt have a 16-day payoff amount. I explained that it was a 0% loan so the payoff amount would be the same everyday and then presented a document directly from the company about a payoff that only listed it the payoff amount for one day but did mention there was no finance charge and I was told this still wasnt good enough and that I should come back the next day when banks were open. I explained that I was coming from Socorro and this would mean a 150-mile+ drive, asking if I could at least bring the car there and then complete the process remotely- they said they could give me a parking pass but that Id still have to come back. I had to cancel the Lyft ride, which resulted in $3.75 fee, then come back the next day, wasting two-hours of driving time. I rushed up there after work, hoping I got in before the bank I had the loan with closed. The bank also sent me a separate payoff amount, which stated it was good for 11 days, and that had me worried because it wasnt the 16 CarMax requested. When I got there, the person who helped me insinuated that I should have been able to be good to go with what I had the day before and apologized, saying that they dont often see 0% loans, which was frustrating. Then I had to sit for over an hour for them to process everything, which I felt they should have at least expedited given that I had already wasted an extra trip. Everything finally got done and I got a check for the positive equity the same day (big upgrade from the experience I had last year selling to a dealer, where it took nearly three months), but the lack of clear communication and the waiting detracted away from the experience significantly, especially with the extra drive. I feel something should have been done to address that.
Nice selection of vehicles.. WOULD Recommend$!
Awesome place looking forward to getting a vehicle at car max
Very good working ppl at this dealership. Very helpful and nice to there customer.
We are a transporter for them and they did a great job very kind super helpful not rude
The visit started out good, my “agent” Edgar Perez was friendly & professional. I took the vehicle I was interested in for a test drive. In the end I made the decision to purchase. I went back to my bank to pick up the check for payment in full. Here is the part that did not go to my satisfaction especially as I just paid in full for my vehicle. Edgar told me he would have the vehicle prepared for express checkout which he said included a cleaning, wash, gas tank fill up and it would be ready by 5:30pm. I returned to Carmax at approximately 5:50 with check in hand, the other “agent” I don’t recall him name started the process of checking my trade in vehicle in, and signing paperwork/documents for purchase. At delivery time the vehicle was not washed, cleaned or gassed up. I advised Mr ? Who was my “agent” for documents as I mentioned, he said he would go check into it. About 15 min later he came back and said your ready to go. I took possession of keys and vehicle, dissatisfaction with the rush job, windows streaked, quick exterior rinse, minimal interior probably just quick vacuum. A less than half a tank of gas. The next dissatisfaction I want to mention is Edgar stated 3 months of satellite radio, have the truck 4 days now. No satellite radio and I also emailed Edgar Perez (Albuquerque location) this same info I’m telling you. To this point no response! So was I expecting too much? Or is this standard Carmax customer service? I’m a discerning customer with the means to choose another option and it takes just one employee or incident to ruin a good experience into a bad experience. I’ll give Edgar the remainder of the week, Come Monday next week I’ll make a decision if I have not heard back. My thing is, just reply one way or the other, let me know where I stand, Yes we were supposed to clean your vehicle and gas it up or no that’s not what we offer. But don’t just ignore me, that’s the worst thing if your in the business of customer service and satisfaction.
I was upset with how Carmax customer service was handling our purchase after 6 weeks of calls with no resolution So, we were FINALLY connected with the local dealership. Juan was assigned to us as our sales representative. He took care of everything and restored our faith. He is the reason we continued with Carmax. He took our bad experience and made it positive. If you are looking for a car, ask for Juan Lucero. He is professional, knowledgeable and hard working. Carmax is lucky to have him. Thanks Juan!!
Not a bad experience at all and it didnt take all day either. good selection of cars to view and there are more that can be shipped to your local Carmax so there are limitless # of car choices!
No pressure sales.Clean car, vast inventory.Good customer service.
No hassles, no haggling, no pressure. Its a good experience.
Friendly, busy, staff, prices are pretty good. The trade in is not as good as I wanted. So check around for better trade in value for your car, they will try to low ball on your trade in.
My Brother told me the only way to buy a car is through CARMAX. Having completed my purchase now I have to agree 100%. From start to finish the CARMAX team was on point, lived up to their commitments and led me down the path to the exact car I wanted below my budget. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!
I’ve had my truck a couple weeks and noticed the tires were low on tread. I took it in to the service office and they scheduled me an appointment within the week- agreed to replace the tires. No hassle, no problems. Great service.
Did not want to help us.Mark was our salesman. Not helpful. He seemed annoyed that he had to start his day by ACTUALLY doing his job.Not funny. Did nothing to help. After speaking to management on the phone, NO follow- up. NO call back.My interactions with CarMax were very negative.I felt bad all day after dealing with rude people who dont understand the true nature of their job ....SERVICE.
It took longer than I expected but probably because it was Saturday. They honored my initial quote and it was painless. I would do this again if the need arose.
Dont buy a car from this store. If youre having a car shipped to New Mexico, ship it to the store in Santa Fe. They will claim to have a hold on it for you but then sell it to someone else. I have proof of this happening.
Really great experience! I ordered my car from the website, it arrived at the local dealership earlier than expected. I test drove, traded in my old vehicle and financed at the local dealership. Very nice people at this dealership, professional, courteous and they know their stuff so no mistakes and missteps. This is the third great car buying/car selling experience I have had with CarMax. Highly, highly recommend CarMax over the other nationwide online car dealer with the glossy ads and vending machines.
This is got to be the worse car lot in Albuquerque. Poor customer service, no call back. No communication. Was promised refund on tires, nothing. Windshield washer reservoir is leaking and they want me to replace it and give them the invoice??? Wth …. Never again carmax
Very helpful and easy to work with. Didn’t get the car I wanted but they helped me get into a car that was right for me and gave me words of encouragement to keep up with everything and come back to get the same kind of car I want in the next year. After every car dealership I went to after my car was totaled, this was by far the best I’ve dealt with. 🙏🏼I will keep doing business with them in the future as well. They aren’t the pushy kind of dealership and work with all credit scores. I like that!
SO fast, so very organized. I was very impressed with Carmax and the entire process
Very inpersonabable. I ordered a car to ship in. They gave me the run around for 2 weeks about seeing the car. I will never do business with them. Btw I bought the same car at a different place for less.
They gave me a good price for my vehicle, and they where very kind and professional
Very good customer service, only thing is the sales center closes at 8:30p.
Quicker experience than I thought it would be. Just make sure you bring all your paperwork and more. Efficient and friendly. Would definitely purchase another vehicle from them in future.
Everything was good, but once they clean jeep, well radio was messed up. They did a service order but still havent heard from them. Guess Ill have to call
The service was great and the staff was very friendly. Got the truck I wanted at a great price.
Kind of long wait, but got to see old friend who helped my daughter make a choice on a car and 2 good offers for financing Bee thank you!!
We recently purchased a vehicle with CarMax. Tiana B. was extremely helpful and patient with us! We are very appreciative for her assistance and we know where to go for future car purchases and will be asking for her again!
Emily S. was AMAZING! She made the whole experience so easy and fun. When we go back for our next car, we are going to specifically ask for her
Just bought a car from this location almost 2 months ago. I love the way CarMax the company shows you what you need to know online and decided right away on my purchase. Love the car but this location is absolutely awful to deal with. I was there for 5 hours to purchase a car with no trade in and almost half the wait was when the papers were already signed and they told me all that was left was to move my car to a different parking spot. That took almost 2 hours. I have had 2 temporary registrations now because they can’t seem to communicate with the MVD to get the license plate. I have been hung up on twice although I have remained courteous during this whole process. I believe they are just terribly understaffed which is a problem that can be remedied but my next car purchase will not be from this location, I would much rather make the trip to Santa Fe or somewhere else.
We made an appointment for 7pm and shortly after had someone ask if they could move it up to 5. We agreed but then the employee We spoke to before arriving did not seem to know of this change (good thing we called first). The man we had serving us at our appointment had a very nasty attitude. We made a reservation for a test drive and he seemed to not know this at all and acted like it was terribly inconvenient for us to take the test drive we had reserved online.
We were left sitting there waiting for 60 minutes past our appointment time. Plenty of employees sitting around just converting oxygen into carbon dioxide. Don’t keep taking appointments if you don’t adequately staff your business. The sales manager insisted that they called me because “their notes” showed that I was called. I showed her that the only call I received was earlier in the day when they called to confirm my appointment. Fortunately, we found a nicer car at a better price at another dealership. CarSux is the worst.
Thank you so much Bee and Kelsey for your help on the Nissan Rogue !! I absolutely love my car !! I highly reccomend Car Max to go to buy your next car.Very nice sales people and no pressure buying !
This particular experience wasn’t great! All my previous experiences were wonderful from start to finish.
The service there is terrible. Robin Silcox was the worst person to work with. He was rude and not at all friendly. Which is extremely disappointing as my family has bought many vehicles at this location.
Bought a car from them and had it shipped in from Texas. With the weather being the way it was a few weeks ago they said that it would be delayed just a little bit. Which is totally understandable.. Whats NOT understandable is them lying about where the car I bought really was. I was struggling for weeks trying to get around in the car I have now waiting for my car to come in, when the car I bought had been there for over a week!!! And now they are telling me that I can not have the car until the title comes in!! I have never had such terrible service from any place ever!!!!
This is a review for service: I purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback 3 weeks ago at CarMax, and was told that the gas tank would be filled up before I drove it off the lot. I didnt think to look at the fuel gauge until I was almost home, and it was only about 1/2 full. A few days later I tried to fill up the tank, and it wont take more than 3/4 of a tank -- the gas pump shuts off and theres no way to get more gas in it (also tried at another gas station and same thing). I took it in to CarMax, since it presumably is covered under their 90-day warranty, but all they did was call me back 6 hours later to tell me, yep, the technician verified that we cant fill up the tank. Youll have to take it to the dealership. Thanks a lot CarMax -- I live quite far from you and this has been a huge hassle having someone to take me back and forth. What does that 90-day warranty cover, anyway???
My experience was so awful. The first car I got had all kinds of problems that I only had possession of it 2 days. Ended up returning it and was trying to get a different one. Well I ran the credit app ran all the stuff and got the car. Just needed to bring papers the next day a day pick up the car. Well when we went to do that it was the worst ever. Not only did they try and run my credit again but the sales supervisors were so rude that we called corporate right there and they had to call in the big supervisor just to do there job. After he showed up everything got done without running the credit again and we were out fast. Needless to say they wanted us gone after we were very vocal about what was going on
WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN BUYING A CAR! IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTIONS... even if you dont, RUN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I was pre-approved before even stepping foot in the Albuquerque, Alameda Dealership and AFTER I TEST DROVE the Jeep I was approved for and provided my proof of income and insurance I WAS TOLD IT WASNT GOOD ENOUGH, NOW I HAD TO PROVE 6 MONTHS EMPLOYMENT, EVEN WHEN ALL THATS REQUIRED OF OTHERS AND MY PREAPOVAL WAS JUST PROOF OF INCOME NOWHERE DOES MY APPROVAL STIPULATE 6 MONTHS. I feel Ive been discriminated against, the real question is WHY? Maybe an attorney would help. CARMAX JUST LOST A PREAPOVED APPLICANT FOR GOOD! I urge anyone to purchase your vehicle anywhere but here!
Very disappointed with the location carmax. Salesperson came directly up to and asked if I needed assistance and I told him what I was looking for he pointed and said there were several of them but there was only 1. I went back inside to inquire about the 1 and he was too busy talking to a coworker and did try to speak with me.
Be advised that having an appointment doesn’t mean a thing. Been waiting at least 45 minutes now yet I see several employees without customers. The explanation given to me is that the number that you call to make an appointment doesn’t know about the governor’s mandates in our state. Seems like there would be a way to flag the New Mexico stores. Bottom line is they simply don’t care and any feedback on their process is unwelcomed. If you go there plan on spending a lot of time there.
