An exciting place to do art! Ive only dropped off art supplies so far, but this place has rave reviews from friends. I hope to visit one day.

Wonderful place to do art. I go there during open studio, which is Wednesday & Thursdays from 12 to 3. They have alot of other fun classes too.

The staff is friendly and helpful. If you need some art therapy, you should go during open studio time or just pick up free art kits.

What one will find at Off Center is a community of local artists who are dedicated to their craft. A friendly knowledgeable staff that will assist with most any artistic need. This place is my spiritual artistic home. A place where artists are not divided by education, class, pedigree or any other divisive term. Inside those four walls is an artistic sanctuary open to all, for the people and by the people.

Off Center takes a no nonsense approach to providing a great atmosphere conducive to creating art. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and focused more on techniques to help the artist achieve their goal. In the true nature of the artist, the staff doesnt alter the subject matter; however from one artist to another, I suggest one have the logic to explain their work. Exhibits are monthly here and the opportunity to sublet ones income is a possibility. The end results are solely dictated by the artists work, logic and behavior. Off Center is truly the artists studio.

I really enjoyed this community center! I love the idea and the concept they have behind this place! Anyone can come in and join what they are doing! Become involved with everything! You can come in and make any art of your own! They have materials and also allow you to being in materials! There is a show that was coming up, so I made a lot of art pieces for them to sell for me at the show!

The people are very welcoming, friendly, and accepting of donations. My children love it and there is so much to do and create. This is geared for an older child and adults, however were all patient and accepting of our ‘threenager’ creating art as well.

Great place in downtown Albuquerque! Lots of art supplies of any kind! And you can make art for free! Its all funded by donations! If its something that you want to sell, you can hang it up on the gallery wall! I saw lots of talent! I was just visiting from Seattle, and didnt have any time, but I will be stopping by the next time Im in town!

Love this Open Art Studio which welcomes the entire community! This is a great place to create, learn, connect and build community. OFFCENTER is an important community resource, contributing all year round and particularly each September with the annual Folk Art Festival. Truly an Albuquerque treasure! Worth a visit by creative people of all ages and abilities. Weekly classes and groups are great, but you can also just hang out and make art with the multitude of supplies and materials on offer.

Off-center is a nice spot, it has a very welcoming vibe and its free (donations encouraged as they are non profit). They have awesome weekly classes. My only qualm...I have taken pieces of my art to sell in their gallery. Upon going to check on my pieces, I found they were not in the gallery but had been shoved in a closet called the vault. However, they were super helpful about taking the pieces out and hanging them on the wall, but they didnt have any explanation of how they got into the vault in the first place. They are going through a lot of changes right now, and are working on building a more streamlined process. Most of the people here are volunteers, and volunteering your time is encouraged and appreciated.

Off center is a fabulous resource for the community. You dont need to be an artist already or to have your own supplies in order to take the free classes. Its a wonderful place to learn and grow your talents.

Amazing space, free to use, free classes, everything from painting to puppet making, they have sewing machines and a small thrift space that is pay what you can. super friendly volunteers and staff and generally a great place for artists and folks just wanting to create.

I love Community art based studios! I was happy to discover Off Center, because it’s very much like the center I do art at in San Francisco. The staff and patrons/artists are all very friendly and helpful.

OffCenter Arts is an amazing resource in this community. I went by to do an art project using materials and space I didnt have at home, and Ive been back to donate art supplies others can use. The store inside is also a great place to buy one-of-a-kind gifts by talented local artists!

Our first time at Off Center. We had a great time decorating boxes. Everyone was very kind. The staff was helpful and made us feel welcome. Looking forward to the next time we can go and create!

This group space can be used for any one of a number of art projects, apparently for free. I was there with a group doing protest signs, and no one charged me, but we had free access to a whole host of supplies to make what we wanted to make. Maybe the group organizer paid something - you might call in advance. But I think its a community space, so maybe its run on donations... It had a lot of supplies and materials to use and tools to do stuff with.

Loved it, something for everyone. Staff is super friendly. Cant wait to go in October and see their puppet parade for the Folk Arts Festival.

Im 14 and have been going to the Off center for 3-4 years I love going there the off center acts like a family so I consider them my second family once I reached the age of 13 I became a volunteer there i recommend going and having fun with the material and space you can use!

OFFCenter has been around since 2001, and really sets a high standard for making art accessible to just about anyone. They have open hours, along with painting, knitting, music, and drawing classes. Staff are friendly, there are a wide variety of community members, and its really humbling and imagination provoking, not to mention fun, to make art in a place like OFFCenter.
