I am posting this review because I just had a good experience with this company/location. Like another reviewer (on Yelp?) I felt very uncomfortable going here because of bad reviews - and while I am sorry that people had a bad experience, for my part, the worry just added more stress to what turned out to be a very smooth transaction.I rented a car hauler to pick up a an electric car in Albany and get it home. (Not enough tome to register it to drive it home.) I was nervous about driving four hours and having a problem, but...I picked up the hauler with no problem. A guy there hooked it to my van no problem. We loaded up the hatchback onto the hauler no problem. I drove home no problem. Returned the trailer to a different location no problem.I went in on a Thursday and one associate was busy with another customer. Another (newer) associate came in to help the first customer but needed help with some details (or maybe the more experienced associate just had a lot of suggestions.)The price was reasonable. Possibly less than I expected. The other customer, I overheard, had a very expensive bill and was trying to get a handle on charges so he could plan better next time. I think its important to read the information carefully and understand how youll be billed before renting.My one complaint is that it seemed to be impossible to get in touch with the location by phone. I called and held for what seemed like forever - being told again and again that my hold time would be 10-15 minutes and I just gave up. I used the chat feature from the national UHaul web page. That was slow too - but once someone got on the chat with me s/he was able to assure me that my reserved trailer was already at the location and answer some other questions I was uneasy about.My trip was a last minute thing. My advice would be to plan ahead and find out what the charges are ahead of time. I found the web page easy enough to use and this location gave me no problems checking out, finding my trailer, getting someone to put it on for me (wow! I didnt expect that.) Nobody bothered me when I met up with someone in the same parking lot to buy his car and took my time loading it up. Access to the expressway was super easy (if you study the map ahead of time).Be sure to watch the suggested videos and other information on line. Theyre very helpful.If I need to Haul another car, I would be glad to repeat this experience.Four stars. (Holding back the fifth star for the telephone experience.)
I arrived at the U-Haul early I got contact less rental. I had to go out in the pouring rain to find the truck. I took pictures in the rain was told my mask wasnt off my face enough then had to wait half hour to get ok to get key. Only to find out had to go inside to get the key. So skip the line cost me hour of my 8 hour rental. I get in truck door doesnt shut properly so driving with door locked so doesnt open up. Start driving fighting steering wheel. An hour to my destination. I cant see anything wipers are horrible. I get back thank the Lord. I return the truck with extra gas nothing taken off bill. Outrageous price, horrible service and no safety measures, absolutely horrible experience.
Fun afternoon just got stuck on the third floor of uhaul.Broken elevator had to walk up to the 6th floor to find out it was locked to walk back down to the first floor that was locked ended up on the 3rd floor 80 degrees and then get stuck with these other guys to finally get told by the staff to use the stairs that says you will be charged $50 to go threw this door 🙄 miss communication on uhauls part
What a Rip off they are. Rented a truck for a couple of hours, returned the truck. No one was at the return area, ran into the employee and gave him the keys. Didnt receive the final bill until days later and a surprise with it! The employee didnt do the return and someone used the truck, they charged me for two days of rental plus mileage. I advise you to go inside when returning any rentals so they dont RIP YOU OFF!!‽
Opens at 7:00 am on a Saturday…why am I standing outside at 7:20 am with no one opening the door? Not like I have things to do. I’ve had horrible experiences with uhaul. Moving is already stressful and they just add to the stress.
One of the best customer service experiences I’ve had especially with rental and storage units. I was impressed with their quick check-in and immediate help. Aziz was beyond great and knowledgeable on how to get it done with the van rental and even ended up renting a unit. Smooth process. The rest of the staff was super courteous. One stop shop at this U-Haul. Tons of vehicles and supplies. Thank YOU!!

DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS ANY OF YOUR MONEY.Disclaimer before this review - i have used U-Hauls equipment 15+ times, and have never had even the slightest issue. My gripe is 100% with this location, and its management.Long story short - I rented a tow-behind trailer and reserved it for 9am. We showed up at 8:45 to get the paperwork started, and go out to hookup the trailer with one employee (who was VERY helpful and honest). The trailer lights were not working, the employee suggested that it may be our connector, so I run inside and purchase a new cable from this business, from a man named Shannon Hunt Jr. We hook up the new cable, plug it in, and we have no lights whatsoever on our truck or trailer. Shannon then comes out to take a look, realizes the connector on his trailer is missing an entire pong from corrosion, and the wire itself is was pinched with exposed wires touching each other in 2 places (this is exactly how a short happens...) So now our truck has MULTIPLE electrical issues because they did not check their equipment prior to plugging into our truck. So Shannon tells us he cant allow us to leave with no lights on the trailer - and plays dumb to our issue of blown fuses, relays, etc. We just want to get out of there and begin our move, which should have started 2 hours ago at this point. We offer to just rent a truck and get out of this place. We politely ask Shannon (who now claims he is the owner AND general manager) if he can cut us a deal because now we are renting a truck that we never wanted, DUE TO HIS TRAILERS ISSUES. He immediately throws his hands in the air and begins shouting at us WOAH THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH MY EQUIPMENT! YOUR TRUCK HAS NO LIGHTS! Well.. yeah, because of your shoddy equipment. He continues to play this game, we ask his other employee who physically saw all of our lights working prior to plugging into his trailer - his employee says yes, the lights were on Shannon says Im not asking him, hes helping other customers after he literally just heard him admit that our lights worked prior. After about 10 minutes of this ego-filled man-child yelling at us in his place of business (customers behind us were saying things like wow I cant believe U-Haul is trying to f*** these guys... They destroyed this mans truck and arent doing anything about it Shannon tries to intimidate me and says Okay, you know what... meet me outside. (exactly how a good business does NOT run itself.) We walked to the trailer to ask him how he can deny that his connector is missing a pin and FULL of corrosion, and the jumper wire that was creating a short. He had already taken the jumper wire and claimed to have thrown it out after we asked him to see it. We DEMANDED he go get it from the trash, and he pulls it out of his pocket fine, its right here I have to physically take it from his hands because he was trying to hide it from us. This argument goes on for 30+ minutes.. in his yard... in front of all of his customers who were all in disbelief about it. We had several people come up to us and make comments about how he handled the situation. In the end, i threatened small claims court, because he has cameras everywhere on the property and we can prove the exact moment our lights blew out, along with Good Employee #1s actual observation. Shannon then agrees to do business with my father, and im not allowed back inside.... Hmm. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY. IT IS A JOKE, RUN BY A JOKE OF A MAN. If you choose to not believe my words, read the rest of these reviews. We cannot all be wrong here. U-Haul corporation should shut this place down, and Shannon Hunt Jr. should never manage so much as his own shoelaces.I am not one of these people who leaves bad reviews for sport, I enjoy giving credit where it is due. I had the most dreadful experience. The young woman whom assisted me was incompetent. Her data entry skills require improvement because she was unable to listen to my phone number and type it in. She entered my phone number wrong four times will creating a storage reservation. The manager intervened and told me I should try speaking slower ( I have a nervous condition and speech impediment) They laughed at my mothers name being spelled Mamma, and ultimately refused to rent me a unit because I became more and more impatient. I was threatened at least four times refusal of service if I didn’t int slow down speaking and eventually was denied service because I didnt want to list my grandmothers address although they communicated with my mom. Dreadful nasty experience.
I rented a truck here online. There was a hangup with the phone only pick up of the truck. The truck itself was a little old, but no issues. Those are the reasons for four stars. I had to go in to check out the truck and the service then and when I dropped it off was quick and friendly. I give the service 5 stars.
Every time someone in my family moves, we rent a truck from here. Easy enough system, trucks always work well, cant complain.
My family picked up what we thought was a 26ft truck over an HR away from were we lived. When we dropped off the truck in Albany we were told it was a 20ft truck . we had to leave behind 6kids beds and ours. The problem was on the pick up sights location. The staff here in Albany were very helpful pointing this out to us and helped us get back the difference in truck cost. I am very glad I went with this location for my storage needs.Thank you agine for your help
Great customer service and professionalism! Reserved a closed trailer for moving and an open one was booked instead, but the great team at U-Haul on Broadway in Albany handled the situation perfectly. I appreciate Laura and Roshawn for upgrading us to a truck at no extra charge, and allowing us to maintain our time schedule. Looking forward to using your services again in the future!
I have never been this stress free when I moved thanks to Mr Hunt and Ms Zambrano.My rental was there(which with my experience is not always the case with rental car and truckcompanies) clean and ready to go.They walked me thru the receipt pointing out key spots and told me to make sure the mileage and gas were correct so I did not have unforeseen costs. Everyone of the staff I dealt with there were nothing but helpful. Thank you Uhaul

If I could put no stars I would I was appalled at the service at this place the people are rude and this place is Im need of an actual housekeeper that does their job it was disgusting the place is infected with the biggest spider I ever seen to the point where I wanted my money back ran home to shower I felt so nasty the window ledge so dirty it would take hours to clean also was unloading my things and the people next to me property was infested with roaches only leaves me to wonder whats going to be in my things once I move them😤 I wonder if insurance covers that to sum it all up. This place needs a face lift and actual team that does their job and and the elevator sucks if the one breaks down and u have to get on the fright elevator good luck u dont wanna ask the staff for help u would be an inconvenience to them and believe me u dont want that took them 20 min to help me and four other people we were all at our breaking point dont worry it was only 97 in the place so good luck with this place I would not recommend until the get some real management
Nate was amazing. Went above and beyond and made our move so much smoother. The day he bought the Uhaul boxes we were getting hit with snow storm, the day he moved them to our new house same thing. He did amazing. Great communication as well.
Absolutely awful - very deceptive pricing. Hidden fees EVERYWHERE. The staff at the customer service phone number are very sweet and answer punctually but aside from that, I have nothing good to say about uhaul.
Been here 20 minutes. There are 5 people on the line with only 1 person at the counter while 3 other employees stood around 1 van laughing it up. The online checkout does not work properly. We were told to find our truck and then when we did, the system said could not verify account. Because the online account did not work, we now have to wait in line again, but this time were behind 7 people. Kind of ridiculous!
Pretty decent place... until I brought everything out out of storage and start unpacking I realize my boxes are filled with rat poop and urine!!! I am absolutely disgusted. Will never use their storage again.
I would also rate it a Zero if I could. Customer service is nil. They dont answer the phones, But always have to talk with a corporate office. I reported mouse droppings in my storage unit in April 2016. I took pictures. They had someone come upstairs with me to take pictures of their own. The woman tried to tell me that they were bugs and not droppings. I now smell a strong cat odor coming from one of the units. Its disgusting. The odor has spread to the hallways. When I reported that, the same woman said that there was nothing they could do. On the contrary, you contact the owner and tell them. Then, I saw someone moving in an open bag of chips and crackers. Who has to tell people NOT to store food. A storage unit is not a refrigerator. Be considerate of others.
Would give a 0 if possible. Got U-Boxes for delivery and pick up. Driver was pleasant for drop off, confirmed a Tuesday pick up date. Boxes are ok quality. Tuesday comes, no one called or arrived, so we called around 3:30. Was told the boxes were already marked as picked up (as Im writing this they are still in my driveway) and that the driver would call us. Nothing an hour later, so we call them back oh the truck is broken, but well figure out what we can do and call you back.Its 6:45 and we still havent heard anything. They close in 15 minutes. Perhaps it was a mistake in hindsight to put the boxes behind our car, I cant blame them for that, but we have relatively nothing in the house as we were planning on being out of here TODAY. Would it be that hard to just be like yeah our truck is broken but well pick your boxes up tomorrow morning?EDIT: Called them at 6:55. Was told they cant commit to picking them up tomorrow because their truck being broken its an act of God
We needed to rent a U-Haul at the last minute for our move to Montana. This location made it very easy to make an appointment for the tow hitch installation and the trailer pick up. We went in around 1pm and scheduled the tow hitch installation for around 4:30 the same day. When we got the hitch installed, since we were also renting a trailer, the manager gave us a discount for doing both at U-Haul. The trailer size that we wanted was not available immediately at this location, and the manager was so nice that he told us he would pick up our trailer himself at another location in order to have it ready for us when we needed it. All of the staff was incredibly helpful and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to rent a U-Haul/get a tow hitch.
While I can’t complain about the rental trucks, the staff are extremely unprofessional and unfriendly, the lines more at a glacial pace, and the storage units are terrible to use. Reports of rats and mice are common and the elevators to get to and from the units are often out of order. Inside the building, the heat and humidity is stifling during the summer months.I would highly recommend you go elsewhere for storage and, if you’re renting a truck, leave yourself ample time to wait in line and deal with customer service.
I had the same experience as others. Canceling day of, not the right size, the pick up time was incorrect (we NEEDED 8am, they said, sorry not until noon!) they also switched last second our pic up location from super local, to OVER an hour of driving away! (Not to mention large tolls)You think you have everything settled with your reservation, and they spring all these changes on you mid move, NOT okay!If you are moving go ANYWHERE else, for a stress free experience.
Avoid this place at all costs. Every time I go here it’s always something. The unintelligent employees are about as clueless as it gets. Back my truck up to a trailer, figure I let the man do his job and hook it up. He’s looking for the four pin connector....it’s right in front of his face. Still goes ahead and rips off the cover to the locking mechanism for my spare. I let this go. Simple fix, not too worried about it. Second time I go...I was a constant customer for the motorcycle trailers. I have my truck by the trailers. Hook my own trailer up (thought I learned my lesson the first time) Waiting for one of the guys to find me a four pin for my trailer. A gentlemen pulls in to return his rental truck. Another employee helps this guy out, inspects the truck to check it in. Mind you my truck has been sitting in the same spot with a trailer hooked up to it for about 10-15 minutes. I’m standing there patiently waiting and this employee hops in that rental truck and backs it right into my truck. This guy walked past my truck 4-5 Times. Full size black ford, can’t miss it. Come here if you want your expensive things that you work hard for wrecked.
I rented a moving truck here on two separate occasions - one ten footer and one fifteen footer - and both times the mileage and fuel level was incorrect and I needed to get it adjusted before taking the truck which requires an additional 20 minutes because the desk service here is very slow. The second time I rented a truck the person helping me added insurance to the rental without asking if I wanted it. Be sure to check the mileage, fuel level, and insurance options if you rent a vehicle here.
Just rented a truck for first time this morning, the service was excellent. I never knew how easy it is to rent a truck. The van was new, the guy at the counter was most helpful. Thank You Guys.
Ive used the storage facilities here. Very, very low-quality establishment:• Garage doors are broken• Elevators dont work• Poor security (always see random people wandering in and out without using a card)The people who work there are nice enough; but, this is a you get what you pay for kinda situation. The management clearly arent interested in maintaining a high-quality facility. Theyre simply too cheap to fix the doors and the elevators, and apparently get enough paying customers to stay in business.But, its the cheapest game in town, so...
I had an appointment for one Saturday to get a hitch put on. When I got there they said that the staff will put hitches on was not there. That was a little bit annoying but it was OK because we had other errands to run. I rescheduled my appointment for the following Saturday and when I got there they said I wasnt on the schedule. I showed them the confirmation text that I had and they shrugged and said theyll get me in as quickly as possible. One technician estimated 30 minutes, but three hours later I still didnt have a hitch. The woman at the register was very rude and told me she was going to walk away from my sake.... not sure what she meant by that but it was unpleasant. Terrible service. Never heard a single Im sorry. We will never be using this location again.
An unpleasant experience at this facility was followed up later by a call from a manger trying to make things right. This shows me that they are taking initiative to correct how they have done things in the past.
Me and my wife got a uhaul online and my wife messed up the drop off location so when I went to the store I told them I needed it switched it was a lady names melissa who helped me she told me it was switched so I was happy with there service turns out she never switched it so when I dropped it off they charged me the what they were supposed to but now Im getting an email saying I have a outstanding balance of 400 and something dollars because she never switched it and now there transfering me here there everywhere and no one can help me customer service gave me the general managers number and she dont bother to answer during there business hours I called 2 times the second time she sent me right to voicemail I will never use uhaul ever again unless this is resolved
The people here could not have been more nice or helpful. My trailer wires had corroded and they fixed them on site in a timely manner so I could still drive away with the trailer I had rented.
I never got my truck! I had to follow steps on my phone and was walking around a big (really big) parking lot looking for the truck number. Finally I found it and needed help from a customer service rep on my phone. She helps me but also abandoned me and told me I still have to follow the steps on the phone so I did. Now the uhaul app is telling me to find a box that has the key and also took the payment. Unfortunately I wasnt able to open the box with the code they provided me with. The customer service rep gave me like 10 more codes to try and still nothing. At this point I even asked to get a manager to the location and I didnt mind waiting.At the end of all this i never moved my things and want to know why have a 24/7 operation and not make yourself available. this is not the place to do business....I waited for 3 hours with no truck they took our money and our mover bailed after waiting with me at uhaul for 3 hours.
Counter staff was great. They were friendly and efficient. Then when I both went out to pick up the truck and when I returned it, the lot staff was nowhere to be found...
I went to this Uhaul to rent a truck and a tow to drive myself across the country to move to LA (alone.) Danny assisted me with getting my truck, tow, and securing it all. He was AMAZINGLY HELPFUL! He went above and beyond, and made sure that I had the truck i wanted/needed, and also ensured that i had new straps for the tow. I was able to drive for 5 days, over 3,000 miles, and had NO issues whatsoever. I felt safe and secure the entire drive thanks to Danny! I highly recommend this Uhaul and Danny to anyone.
Gave me a storage unit that was already locked, then gave me a unit that couldnt be locked because the handle was broken. Took 2 hours to resolve. Staff was rude and store was understaffed. Will be filing a report with the better business bureau seeking a refund for the extra 2 days of truck rental their mistakes cost me if I dont hear back from management. Got trapped on the 7th floor for almost an hour because people were holding up the elevator on the 5th floor. Put my storage unit in someone elses name. Cannot get in contact with general manager to have it fixed. Dont know if my stuff is even still there! Also supposedly sent me a 50$ off coupon for my previous troubles that was never received. WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER. 0/10 WOULD NOT USE AGAIN!
Smooth process in and out. About 10 min to sign papers and get van rental in order with no reservation, and about 5 min to return it. Helpful staff.
Horrible customer service.. You cant never get through to anybody directly at the store. I left my identification card and I called for a week and could never get thorough to anyone only reps that were not at the store. They left messages for the people to contact me and no one has ever gave me a call. Kept telling me I have to basically come back to the store when I literally just rented their truck to move. This place is one of the worst store if u ever want to talk or get something done from someone directly at the store.
It has been a few years, but I thought I should let people know that the customer service was very good here.

Rented a storage on the 3rd floor & a truck. Brought my stuff back to storage & the elevator was broken so I couldnt move my stuff out of the truck & into storage. Left my truck on the lot with the items for storage still in the truck. They called me when the elevator was fixed, 3 days later, & they charged me for the days I left my truck in the lot. They charged me $75 to take the truck off the lot & then they charged me 100, randomly. When you call they say the calls are recorded so we can keep our promises to you, then they forward you to customer care so the associates in the store DO NOT answer the phone. Only good thing is the guy who gave me the refund was cute & that has nothing to do with the company. I did get my money back after going into the store & calling the manager back to back (7 times) until she answered & called the cutie at the store (on his cell phone) so he could refund me. Its not worth it.
Really bad service with hitch installation.I scheduled an apt. With them to install a hitch. My wife drove 30 min and brought the car in at the correct time, but it turns out the hitch mechanic didnt show up that day. They rescheduled, and gave us a discount.I brought the car to the second appointment, again 30 min away. The hitch guy again wasnt there at the scheduled time, but the other staff there ensured me he was in fact punched in, he had just disappeared momentarily. After call him, they told me he had went off to buy some food, and would be back soon. I left the car and my wife drove us back home.As soon as I get home hitch guy calls and says the bolts on the car are rusted. He then told me that they are not allowed to use air tools or breaker bars to remove them (even though they have them), because they do not want to be liable if the bolts break. He said I would have to pickup my car and get the bolts off myself.I was very frustrated the guy refused to remove a rusty bolt after make us drive out there three times, so I picked the car up and informed them I had no intention of coming back.Maybe they are good for trucks, I dont know, but their hitch guy is unreliable and undependable. I suggest you look elsewhere to have a hitch installed.
I have a small moving company and get several U-Haul trucks a month from the Broadway store. At least 95%+ of the time I get EXACTLY what I asked for, and the latest manager of that location (Stoyen) is the absolute BEST manager theyve hadin the 17 years I have used their U-Haul trucks. The best management of an imperfect system.
Terrible service. Elevator has been broke for months. Twice I was td false information. And I paid extra for 24 hour access when their service level always prevented it from being as such

DONT EVER come here. Horrible - wonder how ANY work gets accomplished. Miserable people, complaining about how overworked they are while standing around yaking it up. Trading insults between workers. Terrible attitude. Lounge area was dirty with broken chairs. Will NEVER come here again.

This is my second experience with this particular U-Haul. Both times have been miserable. This particular time I had booked supplies online so I could pick them up quickly and easily. I called an hour before hand to confirm the supplies had been pulled and I could just run in and out — they said yes.When I had gotten there...they hadnt pulled anything and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to fulfill the order. Missed my next business appointment.Whats worse...they didnt have any customers in the store at the time.
They never return calls. Everytime you call there calls go to corporate and they take messages for albany and they go unanswered!
Ordered a truck online from here, they called me to tell me it wasnt available at their store and I had to go to a different store, then charged me for dropping off at different location. Not cool
Same thing as another person..order a hitch and schedule an install online and was given a day and time to appear. I get there on time and they are over booked so tell me to come back at noon (4 hours later). I return at noon only to have the installer give me a stupid excuse for not be able to finish the job. He said, The bolts are stripping and you have to take it to a dealer. I took the hitch home and installed myself very simply, no stripped threads at all! He had taken 2 bolts out and had not gone any further. Was I perhaps intruding on his lunch break?!No apologies, no modicum of customer service finesse. Ill never go back to 139 Broadway in Albany

The truck we got was old, and had poor steering and the convex mirrors were not placed well and worked inadequately to drive the vehicle safely. I should say at this point that I am a truck driver with a Class-A CDL so I know what maintenance is to be done to a truck and very little if any was done.Next issue was the cost. They clearly and apologetically tried to rip us off! I used 3 gallons of fuel according to their chart, but I refilled 6 gallons just to be on the safe side before immediately returning the truck to Albany, from the Sunoco on Congress St. in Troy. They tried to say that I used 10 gallons of gas! I didnt use that much for the entire trip including the move! Rip-off artists and well mannered crooks! ..In my opinion that is.

While they only had like 5 people working, it was difficult to find them all. Some seemed like they didnt know a thing of what they were doing.

DONT go here, they are LYING SCAMMERS! We did not have a reservation but checked online to be sure this location had 10 trucks available. When we got there & requested one, the clerk, Requan Donovan, said they were all out but had 15 trucks. We told him the website said they had 10 available, he had no explanation just insisted they had none available. We could see, on the wall behind him clearly labeled 5-10 keys for 10 trucks. So we called UHaul, they were just as confused as us as to why the clerk was saying they had no 10 trucks available since their system said they had 15. So we made a reservation for a 10 truck, went back to the clerk, Requan Donovan, told him what the customer service agent told us. He was very rude, did not even apologize or give any explanation as to why he outright lied, trying to sell us a truck too big for our needs. So we got the keys, walked out back only to find a bunch of 10 trucks strategically parked so you couldnt see them from the building. We felt deceived, taken advantage of, and it made for a very stressful move since the whole drive we wondered if Requan Donovan gave us a lemon of a moving truck. This experience has left a very bad taste in our mouths, the next time we need a moving truck/van, even if its more expensive we will be using a different company. UHaul was our first choice but sadly now is our last.
Horrid ordering a hitch by phone, horrid follow up, terrible service by phone, headquarters is where all phone calls go, with the excuse that the Albany CS is busy. No follow up to urgent requests for a return phone call from Albany. Headquarters seems to have a poor way to create contacts between offices and customers even with extreme wait times. Rating only because I was refunded and received an apology. Nothing for their mistakes, my loss of time waiting for an installation that couldnt happen because parts are not available to them and disruption to travel plans.
Ive used them 2 times now and both were great experiences. Very helpful and accommodating staff.
Horrible customer service. They take reservations and say the truck will be ready at one time, then they dont contact you and just tell you to come back in 2-3 hours because they dont have any trucks available. And it happens like this every damn time. Horrible
This is the 5th time that I have rented a truck from this location. Every year the service is worse. Last year I was over charged for equipment that I did not use.This year I was once again horrible. I was given a key and told my truck was to the left. I went outside to locate my truck with the other 10 trucks. No one came out to go over the truck with me. I had to go back inside to ask what to do next and was told to just go. Then when I checked my accound, I was overcharged. I was charged $25.00 and $7.00 for services that are were not explained to me. I called to speak to someone concerning these charges. I was told that a message would be sent to the manager and someone would call me back. Nope never happened.This is the last time I will use this location. People please be careful renting from them, they will rob you.
I am utterly baffled in the incompetency of uHaul. I will never use uHaul again and I will make sure to voice my dismay with anyone I know that is moving. I made a reservation for a uHaul truck a week in advance. I dont think uHaul understands the definition of reservation. I made a reservation for 6 hours initially between 1pm and 7pm. I then called a day later and asked if I could extend the reservation from 9am to 7pm. They said sure. I then called again to confirm my reservation and they said I was all set. I get to the uHaul facility on the day of my reservation and am told that the truck needs to be returned by 4pm. I state that I had a reservation and they state that they needed the truck by 4pm to accommodate another reservation. I do not understand how my reservation is less important than anothers. I take the truck and attempt to speed up my timeline by 3 hours. Around noon, the process is not looking well. I call uHaul and explain my situation, but instead of resolution, I was met with 6 (six!) transfers from one uHaul representative to the next. I pleaded with each representative to transfer me to someone that can actually do something about my situation. They each promised that the next person would be able to, and finally on the sixth person, I was disconnected by uHaul. How unprofessional can one business be? Not one person at uHaul made any serious attempt to fix my customer relations situation. Finally, on my way to returning the uHaul truck I had to get gasoline to fill the tank back to 3/8. I look on the estimated gas required to get there on the paper given by uHaul and put in the recommended amount. It overshot 3/8, by more than 1/8. That is a huge overestimate and cost me $10 more than I should have put in. I am overall appalled by uHaul and will never use its services again.
U-Haul loves your $$$$. Customer services needs great improvements.
What prevents this uhaul spot from getting a five Star is the simple fact that during peak hours of operations, their short staff makes the wait unbearable. Come prepared and avoid peak times!!

Lots of trucks here, sure to have what you need. Dont forget to get gas before you bring your truck back though, the close gas stations in the area are very seedy
Phone tag with a manager for over a month now to get an issue resolved. Very fast to collect the $$$ but not concerned to fix a warranty item.

What a nightmare. This is the worst U-Haul and services ever. You make a reservation days in advanced and the day before they call you to confirm a reservation for a smaller truck that you didnt reserve. We called days in advanced to make the reservation and made sure that it was the 14 truck that we wanted. The person (she) promised that it was going to be the 14 truck that we need. The day before, they called us to confirm a reservation for a cargo van. We called the location directly again and she said that they dont have any 14 trucks available and that they have only the cargo van and that was all they can do for me. How are u going to fit the stuff of a 14 truck in a cargo van? Impossible. After calling the general uhaul number, I was transferred more than 4 times and they coudnt solve my problem. Uhaul should be getting an award or something like that for worst customer service. What a terrible service.

Worst company ever! Ordered a hitch on-line and was told they would install in Friday and someone would call to verify a time. No one called and after 4 calls to various idiots I still did not have an appointment. I canceled the order. Am amazed that companies like this can stay in business.

Service was friendly and staff seemed well-intentioned but unfortunately the one customer elevator was atrociously slow... meaning that what should have been a 45 minute move-in took more than 2 hours.
