The purpose of this note is to share with you my experience today at the Spectrum store located at Colonie Center. I had the good fortune of being assigned Jeremy M as the representative who helped me with my issues on my cell phone. He went above and beyond the initial issue I came in to discuss and ended up helping me switch over from Verizon carrier to spectrum provider.The result is that I’m saving approximately $50 a month for phone service. He is providing me with his email address so that once I fly to Florida in early November, he will walk my husband through the process of replacing the Sim card and changing his service from Verizon to Spectrum! Seldom, in my experience, do I find someone so patient and kind and helping me through a problem. He is to be highly commended.

Elliott,Is not merely at 5 star employee but he is 100% 10 star employee!I’ve worked with Elliott he past two times I’ve come to spectrum I found him professional, personable, patient, knowledgeable and takes the time to go above and beyond to help me meet my personal goals.He has assisted me or actually convinced me to get Spectrum mobile service and save $45 a month for which I am very grateful. I highly recommend you ask for him when visiting this store! He’s a Diamond in the spectrum rough and puts our needs before the company’s!

Irresponsible employees.. I disconnected my service and returned everything to the store. and i am still getting charged and the employee did not document the return so now im between different customer service representatives basically telling me I have to pay for the service THAT I DID NOT EVEN USE I HAVENT EVEN LIVED IN THE STATE FOR 3 MONTHS.

What drama in the spectrum store! With 12 people on the waiting list, one of two workers went on lunch. There were others, but they werent helping customers. One man began yelling and then several others joined in! A manager type came out and helped the rabble-rouser before disappearing into the back to hide. It was shameful.The lone worker was left to fend off the unruly hoard of customers while working through a 45+ minute transaction in a language she doesnt speak. I know because I timed transaction and she said as much.Over an hour after entering the line, I was finally able to return my cable modem.

Wait was way too long because they had 4 (!!!!) staff members assisting ONE customer while a line built up. I waited 40+ minutes even though there was only one person in front of me in line. I saw staff on their phones instead of taking customers right away. really frustrating experience.that being said, once I was finally called up, the staff member was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. I was just very upset/frustrated that I had to wait so long for something that shouldve taken 15 minutes.

I first came to the store because I needed assistance setting up a new internet account because one of my roommates was leaving our apartment and I had to take over as the main administrator for our floors internet. We had the good fortune of speaking with Nich Manning who walked us through the process in a very patient, kind and professional manner. Taking into account that I was not as savvy as my roommate in technical terms and equipment he walked me through the process step-by-step and politely repeated himself in times where I didnt understand at first.After our initial business concluded I asked Mr. Manning if I could come back in and speak with him in regards of being consulted if switching my phone service from Sprint to Spectrum since I was already signing up with internet with them and since I enjoyed his service I would prefer to talk business with him rather than another associate.He gave me his card and several days later he explained to me and sold me on Spectrums cell phone services FAR better than anyone I have ever spoke to across Sprint, Verizon or Metro PCS.Working customer service for 10+ years gave me the insight to see when I shop somewhere which employees work for a paycheck and which actually work to help people and Nich Manning is someone who takes the time to make sure you understand and are happy with the services you sign up for without feeling like he is trying to push products and services that have nothing to do with your visit.If a manager is reading this give this guy a raise/bonus and tell others to follow his example!

The Spectrum store in Colonie Center should be prepared for the volume of customers for Saturday’s business transactions. There are currently 5 empty “service cubicles” as I have been waiting here for over an hour to return an unneeded router . Only 3 employee stations are in operation... very poor business practice !!!

I went to the Mohawk Commons store this am about my service to see if they could give me a more affordable package. Very disappointed that they brushed me off without offering me any assistance except a bare bones package that would cost me more than my current service so I went to Colonie Center. Jeremy Melchior was so helpful and professional on helping me get a cable package that met my needs. I did not feel rushed and he went out of his way to help me find the best package for my family. Great customer service!

I see that there are several reviews that mention Jeremy Melchior, and I want to echo the praise for him. This is the second time I have had the pleasure to work with Jeremy. Because of COVID, I contacted him by email, and he promptly replied and was able to work with me by email so that I did not have to come into the store. I really appreciated this option. Jeremy replied very quickly to my emails and was extremely helpful. In my two encounters with Jeremy, he has offered me an affordable bundled service for my house, helped me with seasonal service for a camp up north, helped me adjust my parents service to better fit their needs, and helped me move my mobile service from Verizon to Spectrum. I cant imagine a better example of excellent customer service.

Family member died called Spectrum to close account and return modem. The account was paid weeks ahead was told everything set upon modem return.The modem was returned two additional paper bills arrive one for the previous month she already paid in full when she was alive and one for the following month when the account was weeks closed. Full disclosure nothing crossed in the mail. Plus I confirmed last month alive bill was paid.I am the type that keeps and records everything have all documents, time stamps, who I spoke too, what a company taking advantage of the deceased and next of living while you deal with death.Friends, family, of the deceased are blown away by this story. Another thing the living need to worry about.Spectrum are you that desperate to take advantage of the deceased? Lowest of low.

I had had a problem with a SIM card for some time. In short, two employees at the Spectrum Colonie Center - Benny and Jeremy - were extremely helpful in resolving this issue. They were knowledgeable and professional. And very pleasant! Although it took some time they clearly worked very hard to help me. I was very grateful for their assistance.

This is one of the busier locations I’ve been too. The Spectrum employees have always been friendly and efficient. I’ve never had any issues with them. This store is next to The Christmas Tree Shops if you’re needing to know the location for parking. Parking is hit or miss. Since it’s at the mall depending on the time of day or time of year you either will find parking or drive around a bit. This Spectrum does have the option to make a reservation which is helpful especially when it does get busy. When you arrive you are greeted and then your name is placed in a touch pad and your name will be displayed on a couple of tv screens where you can see what position you’re at in line. There are a few seats inside for customers. When it’s super busy people are usually standing around outside or just coming back and checking if their name was called. If your name is called and you’re not there they will go to the next person and you will lose your place, so make sure you’re there for when they call your name.

Jeremy Melchior, if I could give this man more stars I would give him all of them. The entire time I was there I felt like I was being given the VIP treatment. I’m no one special just another customer, but during the time I dealt with him I felt like a highly valued person with all the red carpets rolled out. He made my day, my week, and my month with the service he gave to me. This guy deserves a raise and then another raise. I will always come back to this store just because I know that no matter what, Jeremy will do whatever it takes to help me with whatever I need and I can rely on him. Went to the spectrum in Colonie Center. Learned not to just go there. Make an appointment. After wait for an hour, I was very glad to have Brianna help me! She was very knowledgeable and helped me fix the problem I was having with my email and then some. I cant speak for the other employees there, but she is to be valued. Thank you Brianna. She is better then the Tech dept on the phone!!

Spectrum does not have contracts, that is very true. I commend them for that. However, after a years time,the price goes up 20%!!When I started with their program two years ago, The price was a $100 dollars a month with my own router. Two years later,the price was $150!! When does it end? The prices keep going up and up. I had to cancel. Could not afford it. Thats $1,800 a year!! Really? I need WiFi and probably have to go back to get at my place. Crazy!!

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. They are rude to you and will disrespect you right to your face. They will let people they know skip ahead of you in line. I had to drop off equipment and I waited over 2 hours to just hand it off to someone. Their system is completely disorganized, there is no reason why I had to wait 2 hours when they should just have a drop off station. They did not give me a receipt or anything, just oh, yourre dropping this off? Okay, you are all set. However, the girl at the front of the store insisted it did not matter I was dropping it off, I need to wait and she was quick to tell me if i did not hear them call my name they would skip right over me and I would have to get back in line.

The people who actually work here are great. The company itself and their practices are the worst. Everything logistical is poorly run, taking multiple calls and transfers for basic issues such as asking about my service. On top of that, service itself is poor with me receiving extremely poor internet quality and reliability. And I receive multiple calls to just for offers to sign up for more service, and even emails titled attention required just for offer for even more services. Im disappointed our legislature and governor permits this organization to operate as such in our state, with few options available for alternative service.

Malcolm Hinnant is a phenomenal sales representative. He made our transition from Sprint/T-Mobile to Spectrum easy. Sprint would not, no matter how often we asked, unlock a completely paid for phone. Malcolm walked us through the steps with the Sprint rep. and we were able to finally get that phone unlocked. Malcom spent well over 2 hours with us transferring 3 phones to Spectrum.Malcom was extremely patient, knowledgeable and professional.Looking forward to a long relationship with Spectrum.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The internet service side of spectrum is fine, but if you ever have to call customer service be prepared for a two hour marathon. Seriously, get in your comfy jammies and grab a cold one before making a call regarding your account. I know people bag on government services, but telecom is much worse. And when you consider that Spectrum is an INTERNET and telecom company, youd think they would have customer service communication running smoothly. No.

Absolutely terrible. Line was around the hallway. They are SLOW. When I say slow I mean 30-50 mins PER CUSTOMER. I just waited 50 min in line to move ahead 2 spots and ended up leaving frustrated. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else where they are equipped to deal with more than 3 customers at a time. Awful experience.

Caring people who genuinely will try and help you out in whatever your situation may be. Excellent mobile services using VZWs cell towers and networks with no contracts and plans as low as $14. Very busy store at times, but the agents take time with each customer to do account reviews with each person who walks through.

Went in to upgrade my service, and as normal it was a little on the busy side but the wait was not bad at all. I ended up seeing a rep named Debra Williams she had helped me a few years back and she is great, she answered all my questions and even saved me 40 dollars per month on my bill. Never showed up to Install, no call either. They told me hours after no one showed up, that all the service people in my area had called out that day. When my boyfriend and I FIRST walked in (it was quiet and not busy) majority of the workers were sitting and also placed all of their fore fingers on their noses ‘not it’...took a while to even be greeted. Met with an extremely helpful agent Nick W. We came for mobile service however there was some issue internally preventing this. Nick put a ticket in and then followed up by email on the progress of the ticket. Within a few days we met with Nick again and he was able to get us connected. Great service, thanks Nick.

Thanks Jeremy!My father and I went in a few days ago to return some equipment and the person who assisted us (Jeremy) was able to look over our account and found a way to save us a lot of money per year. We really appreciate it.As for the store itself...you’ll probably end up waiting in line for a loooooong time, and you’ll want to make sure your spot on their wait list isn’t skipped over. The high marks I gave are entirely for the employee who was so great about helping us.

They have been billing me more than what I was told. They have monopoly due to which I cant change my service provider. I have found them to be cheats and a fraud company. If you have some other service providers please chose them over Spectrum. It is the most dishonest company I have experienced in United States. Please avoid using them as your service provider.

Terrible service! I went to store to return modem after cancellation service. I had to wait for an hour for such simply thing. They really need change the way that everyone is in a single priority line. For example, first sort people into different bins, based on type of service. Then have different stations to process the line for different bins. That way, waiting time will be reduced significantly.

Time Warner says theyre improving their customer service but Im just not seeing it. At the end of one year with them, they ended their promotional price and jacked up my rates. When I called to see if I could upgrade to a slightly more expensive deal they were offering on TV and online for new customers, they asked me a long list of questions and said they were very carefully considering my needs. They then tried to get me to buy a home security service, and after 20 minutes offered me a package that was 3 times more than I am currently paying. The customer service representative did not seem to be listening when I described what I wanted. When I told her the price was out of my budget and would not work, she transferred me to a retention specialist. Again, a long list of questions, and then she proposed a plan that was still nearly three times as expensive. She let me know that those really good deals were only for new customers, and that even if I upgraded I couldnt get them. After 40 minutes, I finally gave up and decided to cancel, and the representative seemed pleased to let me go. It was either their way or the highway-- like they couldnt care less about keeping me as a customer or arriving at a reasonable compromise. Where I live in Albany, we cant get FIOS and my apartment complex wont allow satellite providers. But one day, I will relish the opportunity to finally have a good alternative to Time Warner. How many decades before the gouging finally stops?

Service is too high and lets not talk about customer services. Cable keep frozen up, rebooted box to see that you are in some limited mode? Don’t know what that mean. Call customer service to find out, you can’t talk to nobody on the phone but you can log in into your account for help or call back later. What kind of business is this? Ridiculous for the price we are paying, come on. I would not recommend them; wish Verizon fios was up here already.

Company policies of local monopolies treat customers however they like... because you cant switch to another company, so they dont care from a corporate level.Check to see if you have FIOS available in your area BEFORE signing up with Spectrum!

After unsuccessfully attempting to deal with an upgrade through the recommended phone service (where people did not listen to my wants) the guy at the store was able to handle the whole thing in about four minutes and even made a few cost saving recommendations rather than the upsell I kept getting online. My only complaint is that it was a bit of a wait to get to the service agent, but now I know that if I need to go in again I should book an appointment first. And so should you.

The work of the employee of this network company is very irresponsible. We used to have a bill of $49.99 and a bill of $70.99 in December. We went to the companys business office to ask why there was such a big gap in our bills. The staff here told us that the plan for the year was over, that we paid $70.99 in December and $50.99 in the next month. We believe this and pay $70.99 for normal. However, I did not expect that we received a bill of US$70.99 today. The cost of using the Internet is too expensive. The employees of this network company do not take too much attention to the customers work attitude and will cause us to lose too much. We went to the business hall to inquire about the replacement plan, but the staff said that there was no plan to change. But we understand that this company has a cheaper plan for online sales, why cant it be changed? Doesnt this mean deliberately let us lose? Such a network company is really worthless, everyones trust, worthless recommendation
