Always a great place to get a massage. I’ve been going for 10 years and have had multiple masseurs. Every one of them has done a wonder job. The spa offers really unique treatments and experiences that are very relaxing and great for all over wellness. The staff puts great effort into making their clients feel well taken care of and pay attention to detail. My favorite small special detail is the eucalyptus water they offer on a washcloth for the steam room and the Aveda tea.

My favorite hair cut place in Albany, the experience comes with a hot towel, clean up of brows & beard, the option to use the steam room and personal shower room. The locker room is equipped with towels, shower sandals, and robe. The steam room has a shower head and the option of a eucalyptus wash cloth. Personally, I will go after a long day of work, get my hair cut by the Barber, quick rinse in shower, use the steam room, shower and put on fresh cloths. There is also many complimentary items like mouth wash and cue tips... and by the way all for 35$.

Missed an appointment due to not feeling well and concerned about pandemic and I was charged full price as a penalty for not canceling within the prescribed period of time. We are in a pandemic and I was overly cautious and you charged me. I paid for being concerned about your staff and customers. I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Thank you very much

Another stellar experience at Complexions. I am not typically one to get my hair done more than once every year-year and a half, so you know this place is good when I immediately schedule my 6 week appointment at check out and look forward to it! I cannot recommend Rachael in the Albany location enough, she is fantastic!

I have gone to both Complexions a number of times & always had a very pleasant, professional experience. I was given an appt with Anthony in Albany some what randomly and I am SO grateful I was! He is just amazing and has become a regular part of my self care routine!

On the day of the wedding, myself, my bridesmaids, and the women in my family all got our hair and makeup done at Complexions Spa in Albany. All ten of us had a relaxing morning in their event space lounging on the couches, having a catered breakfast, and taking turns getting done up. It was the perfect way to spend the big day and exactly what I had imagined! Christopher did both my hair and makeup and I truly felt more beautiful than I ever had before. My hair was styled curled and pulled back, surviving the July day and a night full of dancing! I would absolutely recommend the experience to anyone and their party for such a special occasion!

I love complexions!! Meredith is an incredible massage therapist!! Mari does my mani/pedi and she is great at what she does as well. I think everyone there goes above and beyond to ensure the client has a wonderful and relaxing experience. I hope they are well rewarded for that because they truly deserve to be!!

The staff is pleasant, they use quality products, the facility is clean and calming and Jenn my pedicurist does a thorough job including a great foot and calf massage.

I am so happy to have invested in myself by going to Complexions. I had a pedicure and a facial. I was there for 2 1/2 hours treated aside I was the only one there. Will be back because they are worth it. And so am I.

Hello! I just want to give a FANTASTIC shout out to Katie tonight for my wonderful deep tissue massage. The aromas of the essential oils and the calmness and warm of the room on the table truly put me in a tranquil place I needed to get to. She really hit all the spots of my body that I didn’t even know were hurting me and needed to be worked out! She was so kind and personally asked me where my pain was and what I would like her to focus on. She truly was super amazing and I will FOR SURE!!!! Be going back to see her again at Complexions! Terrible! This place can’t keep an appointment, waited over 30 minutes and they the hairdresser couldn’t be quite. I don’t think she listened to one thing I said about how I wanted my hair trimmed, took off way to much and the layers are way to far apart. I keep trying this place thinking just one more chance. It’s been like 5 and I’m done.

I had an awesome experience at the Saratoga location with Kate! She was very accommodating and made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I also convinced my boyfriend to come along and he enjoyed his facial with Angel. We will definitely be back!

You can get massages, hair services, manicures, pedicures, makeup up services, skin care services. There are products for purchase for beauty, self care and gifts. Enjoy a glass of wine and a warm cookie while you get pampered. Buy services in a bundle to save money. After youre done you can hang out near the water feature in the back patio and enjoy the sun.

Very disappointed. I went in for balayage/ombré yesterday, and came out with what looks like a couple highlights. I asked for a dramatic change, and got very little color change. When I booked the appointment, the price was listed at $160. Seemed a bit high, but I figured it would be better than most salons if the price was a bit more. But then I was charged $245, not including a tip. Not exactly sure what for. The woman who took my payment said she would email the receipt but I have yet to see it. Would love to know what the additional $85 was charged for. I just don’t think I got good value for what I paid for. I have about 8 noticeable strands of color change when I was looking for most of my hair to be different. Like I stated previously, very disappointed.The stylist was very nice, and the salon was clean so I’m giving a 2 star rating for that. I do not intend to go back.

Went here for the first time and had an 11 am appointment for a gel manicure. First of all I waited almost 20 minutes past my appointment time before I was brought back. For a $50 dollar manicure I was really expecting something special. I didn’t receive a hand massage or any lotion after my manicure. It is also the worst manicure I’ve ever received. My nails aren’t even. The paint is super thick and uneven and she didn’t paint the sides of my nails. The polish also doesn’t go down to my cuticle. Super disappointed and will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.Edit to add: The manager, Denise, reached out to me directly to resolve the experience I had at the spa and I have to say I was incredibly impressed with the customer service! I did go back and get my nails done again (a gel manicure) and they came out much better than the first time. Overall a much better experience with a more experienced nail technician.

STAY AWAY!!! FIND ANOTHER SALON!!! One month before my sons wedding I was looking for a place to do my hair and makeup. Complexions seems like a really nice place. I went inside and asked some questions. Instead of whole eyelashes do you do the individual eyelashes? Oh yes! said the woman. I want to have my hair done up. Do you have accessories that you can put in my hair? Oh yes! Said the woman. I thought I found the right place until the day of my scheduled appointment. Beautician tells me no we dont have anything to put in your hair! Then the makeup girl tells me, no we only have whole eyelashes we dont do individual. She had to correct my right eye three times because she was not putting the eyelash on correctly. The part that bothered me most about that was she didnt notice how bad it looked. The friend I took with me noticed it right away. I said to The girl doing my lashes, You dont see that? By the third time she got it right. She airbrushed my face to the point where it looked orange!! I spent a lot of money to be disappointed. Wish I would have given my money to someone more honest and professional. Dont let the beauty of the inside of this building fool you. I do not recommend this place at all if you have somewhere special to go! Oh and NO sample lipstick for touch ups through the evening! Other beauty salons if theyre doing your makeup for a wedding give you a small sample of their lipstick so that you can touch up through the night. This place you had to buy it for $20! BEST ADVICE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I just had the most amazing experience! Elizabeth (Liz) is truly amazing! The best haircut ( Im not kidding!), and what a wonderful treatment. I had damaged hair, horrible hair cut and fear of what will happen to me next.....She did wonders! I left with a beautiful haircut, the best head massage and a full cup of self esteem! Oh, forgot to tell you, she was doing all of it while keeping my 12 year old son( who was sitting next to me) entertained so he will not die from boredom.

Within the last week I had stopped in twice, once for a facial with Shannon and the second for a massage. Shannon was absolutely amazing and I left happy. As for the massage, I left feeling as I had completely wasted my time and money. The massage therapist didn’t seem as though she wanted to be there and it also seemed as if she was new with little technique or experience. As I was waiting to cash out, I was left standing there while a few women behind the desk chatted and eventually asked if I was ready to check out. I was also disappointed that no one asked how my experience was. I made the switch from Kimberlys to Complexions because I always felt valued but this recent experience has me very disappointed.

If you’re a blonde go to Ueda, she’s incredible! I had a major hair emergency from trying to do my own hair during quarantine and she completely exceeded my expectations. I walked in with orange hair and walked out with a gorgeous ashy blonde. Thank you Ueda!

I saw Ueda on saturday for my hair. She did a fabulous job! Ive gotten so many compliments on my hair. I feel so beautiful! She told me it would take about 3 hours which was fine. I had nothing but time. Ive never had a hair dresser be up front and let me know how long it will be. I thought that was very nice of her. The facility is so clean and it smells soooo nice! Even the bathroom was beautiful and extremely clean. I cant wait to come back for more service. Im hoping i can get a facial soon

I did say that I felt it was used, which shows just how popular this establishment is. Staff is very accommodating, and professional.I want to thank the owner for immediately getting back to me. Back in February 2017, I had a hair stylist appointment for my engagement shoot that was canceled at another salon due to snowy weather in the Albany area. Last minute, Complexions was able to fit me in! This was such a relief because I was traveling from the Boston area and knew nothing of the salons in town. The salon did such an incredible job with my hair styling for the engagement shoot (a blowout with waves, and it survived our snowy photo shoot!), that I reached out shortly after for my wedding hair and makeup. During my hair and makeup trial, Christopher did such a wonderful job! He really listened to me, and helped make me feel like such a special bride! On the day of my wedding (December 2017), my now husband visited the spa for booked shaves with the in-house barber. He and his groomsman also used the sauna - they had such a great day! Back at the hotel, Christopher and his assistant stylist did a great job with me and my bridesmaids. We had so much fun getting ready! Everyone looked amazing! Also, once again, my hair survived my wedding reveal in snowy weather! Thank you so much, Christopher! Also, the woman in charge of booking wedding services was so organized and on point. I was a very detail-oriented bride, and the staff always impressed me with how organized they were!

Terrible service. I booked a bridal party spa day here two months in advance. In order to book the service for a bridal party a contract was signed and I had to put down a $100 deposit. I paid the deposit and thought everything was good to go........wrong!The day of the bridal party spa day one of the out of state bridesmaids got a phone call from Complexions (Albany) saying her service was cancelled. Then we got a call that the service could be done at 5:00, I told them that would not work because we had our rehearsal for the wedding at 5. Finally, they were able to get someone to come in and we could all get our services.Upon arriving at the spa our services were good, but the front desk was terrible. My sister and I wanted to split the cost of our cousins (the brides) service. The lady at the desk said that was so hard. We waited patiently for 15 minutes while we were told that what we were asking for was too hard and were getting eye rolls from the front desk. The girl who was being trained for the front desk understood what we were asking but her superior did not. After 15 minutes I said I had enough. I did not understand what was so hard about taking a total and dividing it in half and splitting it on two tabs. I also said that I was disappointed that on the day of our appointments that our spa appointment was cancelled when we signed a contract months in advance. The superior at the front desk told me that I was lucky and that they were accommodating because they found someone to do the service! (Are you kidding me-- I booked this months in advance??!! Its called doing your job.)I also asked to speak to the manager and the lady at the front desk told me I could wait until she returned and refused to give me her number.This was a terrible experience. I will never give this place my business again. The services are good, but the people running the front desk are terrible and are ruining this business.Go someplace else where you will be valued as a customer.

Giuseppe is the man. I am super picky when it comes to my hair. Tried him out about a year ago and I refuse to go anywhere else. Always gives me a sweet fade and makes sure I like it before I leave. Staff is always pleasant and helpful when I check out. Although its not a typical barber shop I highly recommend for mens haircuts.

Ive been about 6-8 times over the past two years for massages. I really enjoy the massage and my therapist is great. Ive always been thrilled by the quality of service of the masseuse.Checkout is always a nightmare. First, there is always a line and I always have to wait 5-10 minutes. Then there is always an issue. Whether they wont accept a coupon, or they cant find your account, or bill you incorrectly...Ive never been able to just pay and leave. Finally, as others have pointed out, checkout staff are less than friendly.Its a shame, I get a great massage but always leave stressed from the checkout experience.

Very relaxing and seemingly knowledgeable staff. Take advantage of the sauna, sun room and steam room. All of the complementary refreshments are great. You could go for a quiet meditative experience or go with girlfriends for a rejuvenating fun day. The day I was there they were short staffed so the refreshments and some other things were not stocked as they should have been but overall I would highly recommend this place!

Edit: Since the incident below, my wife and mother-in-law have actually been back to Complexions and had an excellent time. The treatment staff are top notch. I sincerely appreciate that the manager more than made up for the incident with the front desk staff, so I am upgrading my review to 4 stars. However, I must say they need to do some serious customer service training with the front desk staff. If the manager is excellent with it, the front desk should be too.Recently, my wife and her mom had a series of appointments scheduled for this place, on a week day, and they both took the day off from work. When they showed up, the front desk manager said their appointments were lost. They had a record of my wifes call, but no record of a series of appointments. My wife had a list of appointments ready, but the front desk manager insisted they did not exist and then proceeded to humiliate my wife and make her feel awful until she left.I tried calling the front desk 3 times, no one answered and it went to voicemail each time. Finally, I called the manager and spoke with her. She was able to get my wife and her mom in for a massage that day with some very nice perks added, to make up for their less-than-stellar experience with the front desk. While I do appreciate that, I initially left a one star review here for the sheer fact that the front desk Manager completely lacks customer service skills. Thankfully, the owner of the spa does not. However, Google doesnt seem to allow me to delete my review, but I can edit it. For the follow up and rescuing of a very important spa day, I have upgraded my review to three stars.

Every time I think of my wedding day I regret my choice of going to Complexions.This is the first review I have ever written. Good or bad. I have never had an experience that compelled me do so. I am also not writing this in the heat of the moment. It has been over 6 months since my wedding and I am still so upset over my experience, and if I can save one bride from going through what I went through, than taking the time to do this is worth it...You expect your wedding day to be the one day you feel and look like a million bucks. I left in tears. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR BRIDAL HAIR OR MAKE-UP!Make-up: I wanted a natural look, something simple, but elegant. They put my eye liner on so thick and so uneven that it looked ridiculous. I asked them to fix it, and although it looked better, it was still noticeably uneven and poorly applied. Other than terrible eye liner, nothing else was even noticeable. On line it said that you get a complimentary lipstick, which I did not get, so I didnt have the color to touch up my lipstick the rest of the day. I left in tears and had to go home and fix my make up, after paying good money to have a professional do it!!!, I had to go home and redo my make-up... ON MY WEDDING DAY. They tried to say that I should have done a make-up trial. However, the girl originally scheduled to do my make-up didnt show up so I would have got someone different anyway, so how would that have mattered??!! Oh and I broke out in pimples afterward due to the make up they use... an added slap in the face for choosing them.The hair- a less traumatic experience, but still not what you expect to get when paying good money to look your best on your big day. The hair trial was perfect. But on the day of the wedding, they put maybe a quarter of the time and effort into it and my curls and style was flat and undone by the time I got to my reception.And if you want to be pampered and feel special that special day... HA! forget it. No extra attention or pampering to be had... instead rushed and stressed.... Please dont trust your big day to Complexions... save yourself the disappointment.

This was my first time at complexions. I scheduled a massage and not only was it a wonderful massage, the whole experience was amazing. The robes, slippers, herbal tea, lemon water, sauna, steam room, amazing shower, etc. made everything feel so luxurious. I loved it and will definitely go back.

Just want to say, Im changing my 1 star to a 5 star. I went a few months ago for a hair appt. They screwed up royally with this. I was so frustrated, I swore I was never going back. Denise and I played phone tag for s while with what Im assuming was her trying to reach out and reconcile the situation. I still have yet to talk to her. I decided to give them another try but this time for a massage. Im do glad I did. I requested a deep tissue massage and they set me up with Katie. I will never use anyone else for a massage agsinm she was very professional and knee all the right spots to get into. Hands down best massage ever. Thanks Katie.

I have been to complexions several times and its always a great experience, but the problem I have is if you pay for a 60 Minute massage and they call you in at 9:15 and end your massage at 10am youre paying for 60 minutes and actually only getting a 45 minute massage. This has happened to me several times and again with my mother yesterday. We were there early and ready at nine and they did not come to get us till 9:15. For the price you should be getting your full 60 minutes. Very frustrating.

Ellie does a great job cutting my curly, difficult hair!! And chatting with her during each visit is always fun. Highly recommend her for short hair enthusiasts & curly folks. The reception desk is always pleasant & professional. And the email reminders rock.

Always beyond impressed by the service, staff and environment at Complexions! As of recently, I’ve been blown away by how knowledgable the staff are and how incredible they make the spa experiences. Gia did a wonderful job educating me on some medspa and skincare matters & did a wonderful peel and dermaplaning on me, Simone and Sarah were beyond amazing for a couples massage in complexions beautiful couples room, Alex did a fabulous job with my wax and Kejhonna gave me the best pedicure I could’ve asked for! Wonderful facility, incredible staff and great amenities. Best in the capital region for sure! I’ve tried them all and none compare.

If you have bad skin.... DO NOT I repeat DO NOT come to this spa for a medical treatment facial especially if you’re not Caucasian. The employees here can come off as superficial.They will not keep your condition of your skin confidential. You’re better off going to a dermatologist first. You’ve been warned. My experience here was not the best especially for the price I paid. They also won’t give you your full service time that you paid for. Also I’m not expecting a response from the owner being that she/he will only respond to five star reviews.

Waited a quite a long time for my scheduled haircut appointment. The haircut was decent and the hairdresser was nice and friendly. Then when it came time to pay they wouldnt let me use a coupon I had specifically asked about when making the appointment. Gave me a coupon for a future service instead. I wont be using it.

From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was going to be a great experience. From the gorgeous decor to the tranquil atmosphere, Complexions is a wonderful salon. I have spent years and years searching for the perfect salon...and my search ends here. Unfortunately, I live about 3 hours away. I went in for a haircut, and came out feeling like a brand new woman as cliche as that sounds. My hairstylist Lisa listened and then gave me the exact haircut I wanted. I only wish that I lived closer!

Great massage, great staff but locker room is too small, lockers are too small as well. Steam room isnt great, you cant see anything when youre in there-not safe. Ive been in steam rooms before so I know what theyre supposed to be like.

I love this spa, its my favorite in the area. The treatments are always a pleasure and are sure to relax. I love getting the nourishing and rebalancing facial as I can always see a glow afterwards. I love their infused water and snack bar. The smoothies are great as well. I would recommend this to anyone in need of some good r&r. I have been going to Complexions for years and I love the entire experience including the sauna, steam room, and rain shower room after my relaxing massage. In the past, I have gone to James as my masseuse but he no longer works there. Does anyone know where James went?

Anthony does the best deep tissue massage that I have ever had. He consistently manages to unknot and release the hip and lower back issues that I have.

I give this Spa a POOR quality of service. I have to say that even after speaking via email with the owner about the worst haircut I have ever received by one of her master stylists, then going back 2 more times within a 10 day period to correct the cut just recently, it became apparent that the owner, Denise Dubois, is not interested in making her customers happy and satisfied. What is most important to her is money. The hair salon manager, Ellie, saw my hair and said, it is choppy... just go through the growing pains. WHAT????? I went to her to get a short haircut in order to correct the problem. It is very sad when an owner simply allows this type of behavior from her staff to occur. Ive been at the salon/spa for other services, which I would give a Good quality review to. However, this was awful and I would say as some other prior clients have told me, STAY AWAY FROM COMPLEXIONS!!! The picture of me was taken minutes after an amazing haircut, which was done with care, lots of time was allotted (other than the 45 minutes complexions allows for a haircut) at JEAN PAUL SPA. The master stylist at Jean Paul did not tell me to go through the growing pains, she simply consulted with me and gave me this awesome cut!!!!

I started going to complexions about 8 months ago for chemical peels with Denise and I can not thank her enough. She has literally changed my skin completely. I went from struggling with severe painful acne, to smooth clear skin that I am 100% confident with- all because of consistent visits with Denise. If you are battling acne I 10/10 recommend complexions!

I have gone to Complexions for massages and hair and am always thrilled with how I feel and look when I leave. Jessica is the best for hair! Cant say enough positive about this place. If you havent given them a try, its time.

Made an online appointment with Emmi. Was greeted right at the door and offered a beverage. Emmi is fantastic! LOVE my haircut. Its short and sassy and its a style that I can recreate by myself with ease. Highly recommended Complexions and Emmi.

I went here for a manicure and was not impressed. The spa itself was dirty and many of the staff seemed to have an attitude, especially the person who did my nails. The prices are also unreasonable for the services provided. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and pressured to book additional services in the future, which I absolutely will not be doing. Would not recommend to anyone and will never return.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Do you want to be HUNG UP on by the OWNER of complexion spa? Yes, you read that correct the OWNER! because I just did. By far the worst money I have ever spent and REFUSE to give me my money back for a HORRIBLE job. I went to this business July 12th for two waxing for a vacation the following day. When I was on vacation I had to go buy a razor because of ALL the hair that was left over. The owner is hands down the most RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever spoke to in the 25 years Ive been alive. I spent over $100.00 at this business to get a professional waxing done... clearly I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to this SPA.

Love, Love, Love. They really know how to treat their paying customers. My experience was excellent. They saved me from an event that I was going to and needed service at the last minute. Worth the money!

I struggled with 3 or 4 stars. Theyre nice enough. Good services and people generally but could use an update. Last time I went the sauna was down...I would have liked to have been notified at booking as we came very early for it (also have a steam room that was functional). Just missing some things you would expect. Mostly in the locker rm area. Definitely on the higher side pricewise. If the price point was lower my rating may have been higher but my expectations for that $$$ are higher.

Great facility and fantastic massage, however….the biggest issue I experienced was that my 90 minute massage only lasted 80 minutes. The massage was $139 for 90 minutes and I was looking forward to relaxation and every minute I was paying for. I was not going to reference this here but the customer service that followed the shortened massage time was below par. For the “inconvenience”, I received a small gift bag with some free samples and two cards each for $10 to try another NEW service. What if I didn’t plan to return to that facility? I don’t want the free samples. I was told that they fixed me a gift bag rather than discounting my service that was cut short because I already had a voucher I brought in for $20 off my first visit as a first time customer. One thing has nothing to do with the other. I was not going to push the issue since I brought it to their attention and I did not want to spend more time hashing it out, but this was not the service I expected based on the reviews I read about this location. I am disappointed in this. Prior to my service, there were a couple additional issues. I arrived over 2 hours before my service to relax and, upon checking in, I was told my masseuse was Danica but I had been told twice via phone that it would be Drew while I was booking my massage the week before as I requested a male. After I was checked in, I was told to enjoy the facility and relax. They would follow up with me to let me know what they could do and I may have to change my time (and my husband too since we were booked at the same time in different rooms). After some time they worked it out by moving our services up a bit so we’d both start at the same time and Id have a male masseuse. Our appointment time passed as we waited in the relaxation room. Then, his masseuse came to get him a couple minutes after the appointment time started and mine a couple minutes after that (mine arrived 5 minutes late). No big deal as I figured since we had arrived on time (way before, actually), our masseuses would adjust their time accordingly so we would still have 90 minute massages. My massage was complete before my husband’s. I happened to have a watch in the pocket of my robe so I was surprised that I had not received the full time. I thought maybe they included prep time in their service time (would be highly unusual) but the desk attendant confirmed that the stated time should be the time of the actual massage. This was such an unfortunate first time experience here. As a side note, they should update their prices online as they are less than the prices charged (their in-house brochures are up to date). Also, their website just loads continuously when you try to make an appointment online so you must call to schedule. And, while the steam room, sauna and rain shower are so lovely and relaxing, they should be sure to inspect the drains for the shower regularly. I showered while I was there and water ran into the hallway of the women’s lounge due to improper drainage so I had to alert the attendants.

Best facial Ive ever had outside of LA. I was in town for a conference and tried the wrinkle repair facial. Loved it! Also had a mani while I was there. Enjoyed that too, but I would certainly recommend the wrinkle repair facial to anyone!

The absolute BEST experience at a spa that I could dream of. I was so relaxed!!! You get brought into this great womens area/room where youre given a robe abd slide on slippers. Youre shown the rainfall shower,sauna,and steam room that you can use before or after your service. I then waited in this amazing four seasons type of room where I sat on a comfy lounge and drank tea. I had an hour massage with drew and it was the best massage Ive ever gotten. I didnt feel rushed after at all. I took an amazing rainfall shower and relaxed some more. What a wonderful experience. I cant wait to go back!

Complexions in a relaxing oasis in Albany. I went and had a facial a few weeks prior to our wedding. Sophie was amazing and my skin has never felt better!
