We changed vets after both of our cats needs were minimized or ignored elsewhere. They were quick to schedule and have identified issues and quickly treated our cats. I wish we had known about them sooner!

My dog required immediate treatmemt. They could not schedule an appointment for more than a week and referred me to Metro Veterinary Hospital. I had a bad experience at Metro and called Akron Animal Clinic to relate my experience. The receptionist made excuses for Metro and was rude. Based on her attitude, I angrily told her I would not be returning to her Clinic nor Metro.

Came for a cherry eye surgery they charged me 700$ and my dog did not receive it I called to file a complaint and kathy got very smart and disrespectful I asked For manager or supervisor and she got very smart and disrespectful so I couldn’t file a complaint they charged for for surgery and did not perform my surgery for my dog they massages the third eye glance into place and charged me 700$ for it which I was thinking I was getting surgery Highly don’t recommend

First off I want to start this review by saying never bring your pets here never never never this will be the worst mistake you ever make in your life I promise. I tried giving them a second chance I proven me wrong maybe I thought I might have been a little bit Hasty the first time so I gave them a second chance. Again the worst animal hospital or clinic I have ever been to in my entire life they are not responsible over their financial problems and absolutely NOT knowledgeable about the preventatives which scares me because what else do they not know about you know what I mean. If I can give these guys a zero-star I will give it to them a million times not to be rude but I am looking out for other animal owners please read this message. They will talk the talk but they do not walk the walk at all meaning they might sound professional on the phone but if you know about dogs and Animal Health you will clearly know that they dont know what day should know working in an animal occupation. I am verryyyy disappointed all the good stars have to be from their past staffs.💯💯💯💯👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 GET IT TOGETHER!! For all the other owners sake smh

I brought my dog in for shots and and an exam. We adopted him from a couple in Georgia. My sister recommended your clinic to me and I found the entire staff to be very caring and thorough. I will recommend to others. Thank you for taking care of my pup.

My vets office closed and I was looking for something in a little closer to home. I like that they can get my pet scheduled into the office for an exam within the same or next day. The appointments have been quick too.

Seriously, very nice people. Professional, friendly, pet attentive and reasonably priced. Only thing that would have made it nicer would be free espresso 🍜

I’ve been with Dr. Diesem in the past with my dog who lived a great life till the end. In part thanks to Dr. Diesem.Staff was professional and friendly. All of my questions were answered. The doctor took time with me and my pet. I will definitely recommend Dr. Diesem since I know my dog will get excellent care.

Ive been going to Akron Animal Clinic for over 20 years. The staff are kind, compassionate, and professional. The only negative is that I wish it were a little more affordable, but the care they provide overall makes it worth it.

I am sorry but i have to be honest and warn the other owners. I had a terrible time here from the time I walked in to recent. Let me tell u about my experiance as a new client here so i sent my records a month early of date of my appointment and when I got there my dogs records were m.i.a. That should have been double checked the day b4 for any new client. I literally had to teach the vet about preventatives smh. I resent the records, no problem. Keep in mind Im still waiting on the word that they recieved the email then to top it off I still didnt get an email n this is 2 days later. This wouldnt happen if i was manager. I will not be taking my dog back here ever again. i have 15 yrs experiance in the animal field from ny to fl to oh and this is the worst so far. sorry again had to b honest. I am not impresed at all. idk how this place earned the 4.7 stars but if i could i would rate your perfessionalism and over all rating a 0. At least u have ur reception crew that are probably what is keeping ur business a float. The doc was a female. smh This is the animal hospital that is divided into two animal hospitals but I am speaking of the left hand side I have not been to the right hand side. I wish I had the on recording, your jaws would have droppped. Do not trust this place wit your dog or money honey.

This is my 5th time using this office for the care and upkeep of my dogs and if this is my 5th time using them then that should speak volumes as to the type of service they deliver.

Dr. Diesem has been our vet for the last 30 years would take our animals no where else. Honest, dependable.

Dr. Diesem and staff were excellent, by far exceeding my expectations. They treated Mister Jay (my cat) with respect and helped keep him to be calm throughout the entire process of the vaccines and testing they administered. Would highly recommend this place to anyone that has a pet. The whole experience took less than 30 minutes from our appointment time. Fast, friendly, and expert service, what more could you need?

Very helpful, friendly and competent staff! Wonderful veterinarians (we usually see Dr. McLean), very knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate. We have taken our dogs to this practice for many years and would never consider going anywhere else.

If you would like to pay $2.38 a pill for an antibiotic that you could get online for $0.14, $35.00 for a shampoo that costs $8.50 and $23.00 a pill for a common med you can get at any pet store for $50.00 for six of them then the Akron Animal Clinic is the place to take your pet.To update and be fair. The clinic called me not long after this review and explained that they had charged the wrong price for the meds and promptly refunded the difference.Thank you

I just want to say THANK YOU to these people. When I brought my Moqua in to be laid to rest they showed so much caring and compassion. They could see that my heart was breaking . Moqua was pet friend for 16 yrs. I have 3 other dogs and I will take them here. Im a customer for as long as I have pets. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS

Dr. Diesem has been our vet for over 20 years. He takes great care with our little fox terrier, Molly. She just had a check up and now her allergies are under control! I might add that Akron Animal Clinic takes social distancing very seriously.🙂 thank you for being there for us!

My cat Willie received a through exam and her shot of an anti-inflammatory for her leg injury. She also got 2 vaccinations. If her leg isnt better in a week we are to call the clinic. We received excellent care!

My 17 cat was very ill and just couldnt make it any longer. I cant express how caring and compassionate the doctor and his staff were. They even sent a letter of condolence. They are the best!!!

Highly unprofessional and unprovoked. I spent plenty of money here trying out a new vet and was treated with clipped answers from the vet trying to leave the exam room asap. The vet was judgemental and just assumed i was doing the wrong things instead of asking me questions! Horrible. Will never go here again.

Ugh. Just very rude and short. No love for the animals, no patience. I did not feel love for my animal when I took him in. Even calling in Amanda, the receptionist, doesnt even care. Take your pet elsewhere to be loved on.

We, and our dogs, have been clients of this practice for over 40 years! Dr. Tracy McLean and Dr. Bob Diesem are the latest most excellent vets to own this practice! Most of our experience has been with Dr. Tracy McLean...one of the very best surgeons EVER!!! She is also an awesome diagnostician...and very sensible when recommending tests and procedures! Our dogs THRIVE under her care! She also works extremely well with our alternative therapies vet and rehabilitation vet, Dr. Neal Sivula...and we so do appreciate the integrative care approach that they both embrace...and our dogs benefit from it!!! Dr. McLean...shes aces and eights! In our humble opinion, NONE better!!!

Brought my cat in to get shots, I thought he just had worms, turns out he was actually severely diabetic and I had to have him put down. Dr. Bob was able to recognize the bigger underlying issues and suggested to me to take the cat to metro vet and forgo the requested shots at his clinic. He did not waste my money on shots that would have been fruitless. A doctor you can trust! Highly recommend!

When i thought there wasnt no hope they gave me hope my sons cat ended up getting a hook in her lip i called tons of vets they wanted so much money which i dont have these kind people helped me and took our girl under their wing and fixed her up and got her better thank you so much for actually caring for the pets and being pet people i recommend this vet to anyone they actually care about the pets

1. Nice enough staff.2. So obscenely over priced that its not even worth the effort.3. They took our cat to the back to get a general idea of a game plan and came back with a suggested work up bill of $800.4. They left us in the exam room alone for about an hour without a word on how our pet was doing.5. They didnt even give a vague estimate on a time frame for the tests we chose to go through with.6. Our dehydrated cat got fluids.UPDATE: We took him to a different office the next morning. He was constipated with a mild case of food poisoning.

Our dog was very sick. His appt was made on Friday with the receptionist for 11:30 Saturday morning. Showed up at 11:15 on Saturday morning to find the facility locked and no one there. Called and got a voicemail. Taking my very sick dog home. What kind of vet does this to sick animals? Another lady showed up for her appt as well. Do yourself a favor and find a new vet. These people could care less!!!!!!

They refused service to my dog!!!!Im on a fixed income did not havethe $48.00, so they would not let mebring her in to see why her breathing is labored. What ever happened to helping people? This veterinary practice is the BEST!!! I have been a client since 1979 and my cats have had only the very best, compassionate and loving care the entire time. I would NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! The vets are also very concerned about me,, too, and how I handle test results, both bad and good, regarding my pets. When I call when a cat is ill, I am scheduled in immediately that day. I have NEVER had to wait until the next day. Dr. Tracy McLean is the BEST!!! She is VERY compassionate, caring, knowledgable, and an excellent surgeon when working with my cats. I also like the fact that they are associated with Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital so I have a somewhere to take my cats when the office is closed on weekends and evenings. I ask for Dr. McLean to be notified and take over the supervision of my cats care at the hospital and she is right there to take ovetr. If you are looking for a vet, go to the Akron Animal Clinic. They are the best. The receptionist, Amanda, and the vet tech, Averyl, are both knowledgable and caring and work exceptionally well alongside the vets. Dr. McLean is my primary vet but I have also had my cats to Dr. Diesem when Dr. McLean is not available and he is just as good.

I operate Easdale: the best pet care where we care for pets during their families travels or special events in life. As is our policy, if a pet needs any medical care, we take them to their own vet. I have also brought my aunt and her hearing assistance dog to their appointments there. My aunt is now 96 and has been going there for DECADES. Every time, we find that the needs and concerns of that pet are foremost in their care. Everyone has always been friendly, professional, and caring. Each test or medication has been specific and targeted correctly. Thank you to the staff and doctors of Akron Animal!
