I try to stay level headed and calm where ever I go just for the sake of everybodys day. We already dealt with multiple stipulations with payment at Avis just because I wasn’t over 25. The fact they needed a credit card was the reason why I originally was trying to use my card under my moms name, so I could pay for it but I was never driving. So we changed the reservation to be in my name with my card and the next stipulation was that now I had to pay a young renters fee which they said would be like an extra $50 for 4 days & we agreed and proceeded so at this point she told me the total was like $660, then charged my card $860 without telling me that would be the total, so then my credit card declined because I only sent a $660 payment to clear my balance for the payment … so now I’m just trying to breathe out any of my irritation and relax before calling my credit card company to get the payment reversed and redone for $860 instead, the process took about 2 hours total to fix. Once I got off the phone and was ready to submit the EXACT SAME payment I was about to submit before my card declined the lady at the counter proceeded to ask me did I have insurance or did I need to purchase some… I said keep everything the same nothing changed. They literally already charged my card $800+, gave away the original SUV we were supposed to have, and seen I was going through a long process to rent a vehicle to go on a planned 4th of July trip. The manager Casandra stepped in and was of no assistance but in closing the transaction. They gave us the oldest truck on the lot, a Mitsubishi Eclipse crossover, and we asked for a free upgrade to a jeep compass or some other suv, they said no. Now I understand rules need to be followed but it’s a line from customer service and compassion to “rules” with exceptions of course. I didn’t see the issue in the manager showing compassion for the situation, which she never did, never did I get loud, upset or angry with them I just tried to relax after being there for 2 hours, paying $800, and being told 3 different prices, I just feel like they do whatever they want here and I don’t understand what the issue was which in turn irritated me to the max and i decided to speak my mind and say I didn’t want the old truck they were trying to give us while there were about 5-6 additional suvs on the lot, I feel like it was personal, maybe they felt some type of way after I started getting agitated but I literally been there for 2 hours with payment issues from not being told my full total. I’m so over this place like seriously they really rubbed me the wrong way! This Avis location my favorite place to rent, told all my family/friends to rent there and was always pleased with my car and service. Today has ended that relationship. I can still feel my wave of emotions.
Terrible customer service. I was contacted the morning of my pick up from another location that they didnt have a van for me. I was then sent to Akron to pick a van up from that location. The staff was not helpful and actually told me I should be glad I got a van from their location because the other customers were cancelled because they didnt have any vans within a 100 mile radius! Mind you I booked and paid for this van in January so it wasnt as if I walked in off the street requesting the van. The van was filthy dirty and I had to spend an hour cleaning it before I would put my belongings or family in this van! Contacted the manager Mr. Jimison and still no response to my concerns. He emailed me that he didnt receive my initial email probably because I misspelled something. And this contact was only after I did an online survey following our trip. Pretty sure the VP who was on the survey forced Mr. Jimison to reach out to me. Well a lot of good that did because he still has not responded to my complaints. I even included pictures of this filthy van. Never once did I receive an apology or sorry for the inconvenience from this company! Very dissatisfied with my experience with Avis!!!!
Friendly enough but you have to go through a process like buying a home.

The staff at this location needs a raise. I drive from canton, OH to Akron, OH because the service in canton is terrible. From the agent who checks you out to the person who cleans the cars excellent service at 259 west Market

Picking up the car with no problem they did give me a car that had quite a few dings in it car work well and it was an easy process when I went in
Digital check in didnt work, so I had to wait inside for several mins prior to being serviced. I was disappointed with the options to choose from, as i needed something with adequate leg space for my family of giants, and while the staff was willing to let me consider other options, there wasnt anything to choose from. Thats not a reflection of the staff, but a reflection of the company not having adequate stock to select from
The car was dirty, there was a slow leak in a tire, had to stop more then we wanted to. The GPS system did not work.
Both times I been here I didnt feel like a valued customer first time I had a suv radio didnt work at all they didnt offer me anything for the inconvenience. This second time they gave us a dirty van I had to use my carpet scrubber to clean the seats before we went. there was gummies in the floorboard and everything. Also the wheel bearing on the van we rented should of been changed before we even got the rental. I am not satisfied at all. Its horrible. They were so busy when I dropped off I waited forever outside in the heat and then the man came up and asked for the key and said if I wasnt worried about a recipient I could go ahead and leave . I could not believe it

Cars were not the best and our car was on the dirty side. Not sure if it was even cleaned inside? Found trash.Also, full size car was a Toyota Corolla? Seemed small and felt like we would be run over on the highway. Little scary!Service was good though. People were nice. Need nicer, better-serviced cars though.

Worst customer service ever!! Dont use the easy pass that they do not explain to you how it works. You have tons of paperwork to sign to rent their vehicle but the e-z pass paperwork is hidden. They will not honor their own ONLINE discounts. AVIS/BUDGET hire more friendly representatives. And your manager Cassandra she is not helpful at all telling me what I can do to get the info. Beware folks they will go into your account without at least notifying you ahead of time.
The staffs attitudes needs a lot of improvement. Came there early in the morning to pick up a last minute rental and the sass I received was unbelievable. The girl seemed irritated that I wasn’t on her list that was ran from the previous day. I even called to make sure they had a vehicle before I came...so I wouldn’t cause any disturbances. Got the car and everything was fine with it. Barely put a 100 miles on the vehicle. Just needed a rental while my car was in the shop. I returned the car early before the office was open and left the keys in the lockbox. I had an early morning flight. A week later I’m going through receipts and I noticed I was charged an extra hour fee because they checked the vehicle in late. Called twice to the branch and they claimed they couldn’t hear me and hung up on me each time. Didn’t even try to see if the call would stabilize. It was just upright rude. So I finally go up to the location because it’s close to my home. The manager Cassandra claims they probably had someone new working that day and unfortunately I would have to call the corporate office. I called the customer service number and it was handled professionally within minutes. So I basically wasted my gas because they can’t professionally handle phone calls and now my funds are being held because your staff can’t properly check in rentals. I use Avis/Budget group frequently and they are definitely not running up to their customer service standards.
Third time reserving a car/suv. All 3 times not the car available they said would be. Customer service is horrible. Ruined mothers day social distancing drive around for many family members. Would not recommend to anyone.
Rented a car online and needed to pick it up within an hour. I rented the car at the end of the day, and on a Saturday. Not only was it the only car they had left but they had it cleaned, washed, and ready to go by the time i got there. The staff was great. Very friendly and professional. I am glad i went here to rent my car. Easy pick-up and easy drop-off. Thank you Avis.
We rented a 15-passenger van in April for our June 1 wedding with a pick-up time of 11am. At 9:30am on the morning of our wedding, we received a call that the van might not be available...as if there isnt enough to stress about with a wedding. When we explained the purpose of the van the staff seemed completely indifferent and offered no solutions, apology, etc. Around 10:30am we were informed that they had secured a van for us, however, it wasnt ready and they couldnt tell us when it would be ready. An hour and a half after we were supposed to pick-up the van, it was ready. I gave a 2 star review because the van was clean and in good condition. However, the attitude of the staff from start to finish on the day of pick-up was complete unacceptable. When we informed them that this delay required to alter our timeline of the whole day they attempted to place the blame on us by saying that we should have scheduled the van for 9am pick up because, you know, weddings... When I reserve something weeks in advance, I assume what I reserved will be available when its supposed to and when a company cant deliver that they will provide some semblance of an apology. That was not the case here but I can say that rental car companies are a dime a dozen so we will take our business elsewhere in the future. Im willing to pay more for piece of mind.
Genuinely bad service. I went in for a one-way rental I had reserved on the Avis website, and they made it clear to me it was an inconvenience for them. I had reserved a small car, but they wanted to force me to take an enormous car “that had to go to Cleveland anyways”. Once I saw the car, I made clear that it was sort of an inconvenience to have a huge gas guzzler when I had asked for a small compact. A really rude employee with a terrible attitude problem stepped in and basically told me that I could leave if I wasn’t happy. I’m not sure how these people were ever trained in how to talk to customers. They cancelled my rental, but my credit card was still charged. I travel a lot and this was by far my worst rental experience.
It’s funny how the customers blame the staff behind the counter because they can’t read the fine print online. underage fees, deposits, soft credit checks; all on the terms page that no one reads lol. the staff busts their behinds and are very time efficient to try to help the 10+ people in the lobby AND answer a million phone calls. they are so friendly and even go out of their way to try to help someone get a car. the guy in front of me screamed at the agent because they don’t take cash as a payment and continued to tell everyone else their money wasn’t good here. it is, but who would want to take cash to rent out $30,000+ cars? anyways, the car i got was clean and the price was good. better than the airport and their competitor next door. highly recommend
Car smelled like smoke, I wasn’t made aware of the 24 hour rental and had to pay 80 for 4 hours. Will not use or recommend
If I could I would give no stars! Horrible! Overdrafted my bank account 1200 dollars after refusing an extension by mysteriosly losing my extension reservation! Disgusting service and thieves!

Incredibly poor service. Owner, Mark, is predatory. Claiming drivers must purchase the clearly optional insurance. They don’t honor their online reservations or prices. Numerous instances of failure at this location. Fiancé took at Uber all the way to Pittsburgh because of their rudeness and their inability to honor her online reservation. (It was actually 400% upcharge and the 100$ Uber ride ended up being more economical)
The place was packed but the staff was friendly and the process was very fast. the car i received was very clean on the inside and ran perfectly. i will be renting from here again

Customer service is horrible here. We werent greeted upon walking into the business while the employees talked to each other. After finally being acknowledged, the employee answered a phone call and completely stopped servicing us to handle a customer on the phone. We were then handed off to another employee who was interrupted by the same person who decided not to service us when we first walked in. Will never do business here again

The bottom line is, I was told they would have a vehicle for me at noon on Sat and they did not. I reserved a car for $171.00. They switched my reservation to CAK airport, a 15 min drive south when I was going to be driving north. They also charged me $20.00 more picking up the car at CAK. Now if I had known that the car was not available at this location, I would have rented from Enterprise as they were $3.00 more (now $17.00 cheaper) but closer to my house and I not have to drive 30 extra minutes. Very disappointed.
Have rented here a number of times and the staff are always helpful and the cars are always clean and smell-free.

Very disappointed in their customer service. I was quoted a certain price, then charged a completely different price. This is my first and last time renting a car through this company. I wish I wouldve read the reviews before going with Avis.
Car was clean, service was friendly, someone was available to help me as soon as I arrived. Even though there was a disorganized customer carrying on with 10,000 questions when I arrived, another staff member helped me at the other terminal and I was on my way in no time.
Helpful staff, small parking lot is the only downside.

They tried to overcharge my mother and after she paid what she owed, they went behind her back and took it off of her credit card anyways. So eventually they had to reimburse her money back on to her card.
