I informed Karen that I had found a house to purchase shortly after signing another year extension on the rental property. She was wonderfully understanding about the situation and let me out of the lease and gave me all of the security deposit back. I thought that was exceptionally kind and the transition to my new home was made that much smoother.

My husband and I with our two children were looking to rent a house, we contacted various realtor agencies and viewed numerous of houses. In some of the houses we viewed, we saw that the pictures on the websites were not up to date and some of the houses were in worse conditions. However, In our search we saw Karen Clayton with Gold Ivy Realty, her professionalism and response towards our needs was outstanding. Quick response to questions, readily to close the deal for us so we could move in as soon as possible, we closed the deal in two days and moved inside the house. Very courteous and gentle towards us, Thank You Mrs. Clayton it was a pleasure doing business with you!!!!!!! If anyone is looking to rent or buy a home, I recommend her as a first choice to get your needs fulfill and the job done right professionally.

Run away from these people! Terrible rental experience!After leasing a house through Gold Ivy for about 9 months, I gave notice of over 60 days that I planned to purchase my own home and would need to move out early. I continued paying all rent and utilities all the way up until a new renter was located and moved in and yet they still kept half of my security deposit for early lease termination even though there was never a gap in payment on the property. They even charged me for an outdoor swing that was damaged in a storm that wasnt even included in the lease term. Then, to top it off, they nickeled and dimed me for broken blinds that were already broken when I moved in.Oh and I almost forgot, when the new renter moved in, they incorrectly calculated my pro-rated rent refund for the last month and charged me for an extra day. When I confronted Karen about all this, her response was Ill look in to it. That was over 2 months ago.I strongly urge anyone considering doing business here, to move on. I noticed that even their own agents are writing 5-star reviews on here to boost their overall score. Pathetic!

They earned this rating the moment they handed me the keys in the state the house was in. There was a serious roach infestation, mold and mice. I was dealing with the problems for months. They tried to be communicative and professional but that simply will never be enough when there are bugs in your food and mouse poop on your stuff. It took me months to learn that I could have legally withheld rent until the problem was solved. You can do that, just for your reference. Im furious with them. Do not rent with them.

Karen was a great property manager for us! She was very attentive, professional, and responsive. She listened to our needs and gave us peace of mind during the entire rental process. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a property manager or realtor! You wont be disappointed!

Spoke to Karen about a home for rent and at the time she said she hasn’t had any applications for it. I immediately got off the phone and applied. I tried to reach her for the remainder of the day to see if I needed to do anything else, but she did not respond. The next day I called again, she said an application had came in at the same time as mine and she needed to run credit. I asked when she had ran the other applicants credit, she told me the night before. I was confused as to why she responded to them and not me, and why she sent them the credit request and not me. After a long day of requesting the credit pull multiple times, she allowed me to pay and pull the my credit, just to tell me at 11:30pm that evening that I had not been chosen. Very unprofessional, ignored texts and calls, and allowed me to waste money on credit pulling when I am certain she wasn’t even considering my application from the start. I believe it’s a blessing in disguise that I will not have to deal with this unprofessional behavior for a lease term!

Miracle worker! Karen Clayton is one of the most amazing people. She is a Boss in every sense of the word. - Plus, she is professional and caring. - When my family first moved to Aiken, we rented through Gold Ivy. When it came time to buy a home, (even though, it was for sale by owner) I called Karen, because I knew I could trust her to make the transaction go smoothly. (& she definitely did!) Dont hesitate to call Gold Ivy. You will be glad you did. You will find great, trustworthy people who treat you like family.

Karen Clayton was very unprofessional. I received an email that a house was available to rent, so I texted her about times to view the property. After rudely telling me that the current tenants needed 24 hours notice (which is fine), I suggested a time that was more than 24 hours away, and she never responded. We called and left a voicemail, and she never responded to that either. Saw this as a sign that we shouldn’t be renting from her anyways.

Karen is an awesome realtor. She had so much patience during my home buying experience.

Upon reaching out to Karen Clayton about property 121 Charleston Row Blvd, I asked if the property was available and her initial response was that the property was available but no pets were allowed (abruptly). I had not had time to even ask any questions about the property. I then advised her that I had an ESA dog that is deemed medically necessary and I do have documentation to support this. She then proceeded to tell me that they do not have to follow the guidelines set in place by the Fair Housing Act [42 U.S.C. 3602(h)], the Americans with Disabilities Act, and as defined in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual Fifth Edition [DSM-5].After receiving the information from Karen Clayton that she was denying my inquiry on the property due to my disability, I ended the call. Upon ending the call with Karen Clayton, I then received a text message from Karen stating that I was rude. I will further be reaching out to the company in which Karen Clayton represents.I am extremely disappointed in the discrimination I have received.

Website is misleading with rent to owns and they dont update which properties have been rented. Not very helpful when answering questions, nor do they try to give solutions or help for future clients.

Friendly manager with quick response rates.

They do not like to keep their word and follow thru unless you the right person.

Realtor was very professional and friendly.
