Ive used Certified for several years, and for years theyve been great, but recently, I havent been able to get a hold of anybody. We had an issue that needed attention, and I attempted to set up an appointment, but I could only ever talk to their answering service. When you call the Certified Pest Control number listed on their website, it doesnt go to anyone at Certified. It goes to an outsourced answering service. They take down the information, and then someone from Certified is supposed to return your call. Only it doesnt happen. There isnt a return call. We had to move on to a different service provider. On top of that, there is no way to cancel your method of payment in the current Certified user portal. There is an email address that you can try to contact, but again, you rarely, if ever, get a response. The direct number that the answering service has on file is disconnected, and the alleged supervisors number doesnt have a voice mail setup. This company is going through great lengths to avoid talking to anybody. I would not recommend using them at this point in time.

I have been trying to get in contact with the main office for 4 days without any response .I can only reach the answering service.I always had Certified Termite and Pest Control contact me in advance before a scheduled service date.coming I want to be home when they came.I was sent a text at 7pm on Wednesday stating they were coming out to do the service . I asked them not to come because I would not be there and I would can the office to plan a date. I received another text on Thursday about coming out to service, again I returned the text and told them not to come. I also asked that they not text me the evening before a proposed service call.I received an invoice Thursday October 29 stating I owe $48.71 for a service I did not request.I called Thursday October 29 with no results, It is now Monday November 2 and I still have not heard from Certified Termite and Pest Control.The answering service continues to state they well escalate my numerous calls no one from the office has returned my calls.All I want now is to talk to someone find out about this invoice for $48.71 and terminate my service of more than 15 years with this company.I am very disappointed with the lack response I have been receiving.W.Galloway

I have always rated this company very high, Great customer experience, always responsive and the folks that provide service top notch. Now they use an answering service and do not return phone calls. Maybe they have been impacted by COVID but impossible to get a return phone call. So disappointing, going to move my 3 properties to a local company that actually answers their phone. My guess is change in ownership!!

I had called this company to remove some bees in our fire wood. I spoke to George who set up an account for me, and emailed me a confirmation of my job request. He quoted me $400 plus tax for the job and told me he couldn’t get to it for over two weeks. We agreed on a date and time, but he never showed. When I called the company phone, I was transferred to an answering service who informed me that they would forward my information. Not hearing back from George, I called his cell phone which required me to leave a message. George called back and said he didn’t know who I was. I laughed and then told he was fired.I should have never hired him, especially since he wanted my credit card number in advance, which I wouldn’t give ... not a good sign.

First and foremost, this company is no longer in business. They were acquired by Terminix. Customer service has been pretty bad for the last couple of years, but this transition with virtually no communication about billing was ridiculous. I was on auto billing with Certified and received a bill from Terminix for service allegedly done on 11/3. No service has been performed in months. I called Terminix- they said to call Certified—Certified only has an answering service and they said someone would get back to me. No one got back to me, so I called them again, and they gave me an email address to email my billing concerns to. Then THAT person dismissively wrote back that they have no staff and the company is closed and to call Terminix.If I could give them zero stars I would.I’ll be canceling my service.

TERRIBLE SERVICE PROVIDERCertified Termite and Pest Control has proven to be a huge customer-experience disappointment on numerous occasions and in all facets of service delivery over the past 2 years (I have been with them for over 5 years).They could never properly get any of my payments posted even though I provided them checks that cleared my bank account and then erroneously sent nasty-gram messages for non-payment as well as robo-calls threatening collections.They have a high turnover in management as well as field technicians causing more uncertainty of service delivery. This last week they skipped my treatment because of rain then failed to follow up to reschedule another and then wanted me to wait back in line – it was their mistake and they should have treated a customer of 5+ years that has spent over $6,000 with more respect.When I asked to speak to the GM 4 different times I was never offered the return call.Service failure, management failure, total customer experience disaster.

I told my leasing office, but thought I should say it here too. I had an issue with spiders and ants in my apartment. Keaton came by and right away I knew I was in good hands. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and didn’t mind carrying a conversation with me the whole time. He made me feel very comfortable about what he was applying, and even played with my dog Tiger who gets very excited to have company. It’s clear to me certified sends its best, and I can’t wait for our follow up in a couple weeks!

We are on a plan with quarterly spraying. Certified makes this extremely easy! They automatically schedule your pest spraying every quarter and shoot you a couple text or email reminders. They have very flexible scheduling if the first attempt isn’t convenient for you. They also have excellent customer service and easy payments! I love it when tasks can get done with little time out of my day, and Certified makes that happen. We haven’t had any bug issues in the 4 years / 2 houses we’ve used Certified!

Had challenges in multiple attempts to work with this company. Had a $135 service done and never sent me an invoice. After not sending an invoice, they continually had a chat bot reach out for payment (never providing an invoice). I requested the invoice via the chat bot that never produced.Once the chat bot didnt work, they sent the debt to a collection agency. I called Certified Termite and requested an invoice, still not able to provide. I made the payment and suggested to have had a human call me and/or send an invoice earlier would have solved the problem.Never working with this company again and working with Alamo Pest Control from now on and would recommend others do the same.

Arrive on time as scheduled. Do a through job applying insecticide as needed both inside and outside. Give good advice on how to avoid insects. If ever a problem it is rectified quickly. A good company to work with. We have been satisfied with Certified for several years now. Have and will continue to recommend them.

Edit 6/20/2017: I am changing my 2-star review to 1 -star. After emailing the company back to specify that I did not want to extend my contract another year I have received 2 more calls and 2 more emails saying that I owe money to the company.The company responded to a similar Google complaint from another user with the following statement:We are sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding, but we provide a Free Termite Warranty for 1 Year through your Home Inspector. Certified sends several notices throughout the year letting you know you are covered and reminding you that we will send a renewal notice to continue the Warranty for a small annual fee. The continuation is optional and there is no commitment- your account is never charged unless you decide to continue.I am, however, receiving bills not continual optional notices. I guess I will be posting reviews to Yelp and Angies list as well.I do not recommend this company in any shape or form.____________________The way billing is handled through this company is so frustrating! I was given a one year termite warranty through my home inspector. After pulling down some wallpaper we found what appeared to be some termite damage in the walls/drywall. They dispatched tech to come check it out and he determined it was old damage and no action was needed. The tech was courteous and did a good job and left me information.Fast forward a week later and I have a bill for over a hundred dollars even though the tech actually didnt do anything besides assess the damage and gave me some information. The company took the charge off, but it was still annoying...Now, fast forward another year later and Im sitting on an email and a voicemail saying I owe them 140 dollars for another year of warranty even though I didnt express any interest in continuing this service.Based on my experience with the tech, I assume all of actual pest control work is handled professionally, but the way they handle their account management is pretty poor. I guess if you know youre going to need a long term pest control company perhaps these guys will work for you. For little one off sprays and occasional work, I wouldnt deal with the headache of the billing department.

I would love to talk about my experience with this company and their work... unfortunately (or fortunately), I didnt actually get to use them. It all started when I made an appointment for a Wednesday which was my day off. Someone called the previous day to make sure I would be there for 9am as my appointment was made. 9am comes the next day... and so does 10. By 10:30 I called and spoke with a woman that tells me that my appointment is actually for 1:30pm. Well that doesnt work for me as Ive scheduled my day around this appointment to begin with. So I assumed that mistakes happen, so I cancelled my Wednesday appointment and rescheduled for Saturday as my wife could be home to let them in. Friday comes, and I get a call to - again make sure someone will be there - and what happened Saturday for our appointment? No one showed again. Excellent. When I called them, they told me that I did not have an appointment. Really? So who called me to confirm it yesterday? Weird. They then told me that I could not get someone out until Monday afternoon at the earliest. Well at this point I was fairly annoyed and decided to check out other options. To my dismay, those options were actually more expensive. I decided to just give them one more shot. So I called them again and when I requested to make an appointment, the guy on the phone seemed puzzled as to why I would call him. Then, he said that the person that does that (makes appointments?) is not available right now but I could leave a message on his voice mail. Again... just odd. So I have him transfer me, only to get a message that says hell be out of the office for another week! Yeah, thanks but no thanks. Ill spend twice as much to get someone to actually show up and get the job done. Seriously, these guys have to have their reception cleaned up. Massive communication breakdown somewhere.

I am a maintenance coordinator at Westdale Hills and we have Stephen as our tech for the whole property which is huge and we have had the best experience with him. He is very professional and positive. Everybody in the office loves him. He comes in 3 times a week and we have had no complaints on behalf of our residents. This company does not control pests; they ARE the pests. they charge for inspections marketed as free per their own ad and their own technician. then they force you to pay for extermination services that they never performed because this company is not approved by property management companies. on top of that, they have the audacity to send harassing phone calls asking for payment of a service they never performed. ridiculous. this place should be exterminated.ADDENDUM: THE RESPONSE FROM OWNER SHOWS THE COMPLETE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THIS COMPANY. I was having a big problem with millions of little ants in my home. They were EVERYWHERE in .y house. Upstairs, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. I was using the sprays from the supermarket but it wasnt helping get rid of them. I saw an add in one of my local circular papers here in Frisco, the reviews were spot on so I gave them a call for some general info. The customer service I got on the phone was EXCELLENT! Within 1 day there was a technician at my home at the scheduled time...actually he was 22 minutes early👍. My technician was informative, detailed and an all around good guy. He gave me a great package to fit my budget and service plan that wasnt more than what I needed. They also gave me a veteran discount, no other pest control company would do that, let alone ask if I was a military vet. This company is good for anyone with pest issuse. I praise them and thank them dearly.

Extremely disappointing experience with this company!!!! I would not recommend their services at all. After calling to cancel my pest control service it took 7 months to get them to stop billing me for services I never received! When I called to get he matter resolved it was to no avail, I was told the billing would stop but that I would not receive a credit even though my home wasnt serviced. Called again this past December to ask why I was billed yet again and I was told there was no record of my cancellation and I may or may not receive a credit. The answer was a definite no Im guessing since I cannot get any member of management on the phone now. I hate writing these type of reviews but Certified Termite and Pest earned every word.

Start to finish an annoying experience. Technician arrived 10 minutes early so I was still driving home from work. Instead of waiting for ten minutes he leaves and is gone for 40 minutes, so now I’m gone from work for extra time. I called the main office when he hadn’t shown up after a bit and they said he’d gone to the gas station. Quite a long trip. Then he tells me AFTER starting to spray that I need to lock my cats up because they shouldnt get near it. And the whole treatment is three swipes of spray under my doors because “that’s what One Guard treatment is” which is a very sudden change in operations- whole house treatment has been the norm in the past. I should have saved myself a lot of money and time and gone to Home Depot for some pesticide.

This company makes commitments and does not honor them.I purchased an annual service contract (4 visits per year)earlier this year. I had one visit in April and I was pleased with the service. I didnt pay attention to the fact that I had not had any follow up visits or communication with the company until November when I noticed a few roaches in my house.At that point, I realized they had not made the quarterly visits. I called the company. An employee informed me my service was cancelled. He could not tell me why, but assured me they would investigate and call me back quickly -- I did not receive a call that day. I called back the next day spoke to a different employee, who replied similarly. They didnt know but it was high priority. I called two hours later and requested a manager/supervisor. The supervisor told me it was an accident for my account cancellation, apologized, offered to extend my contract period, and told me he would email me with his contact information. He also helped schedule the service. I told him it was urgent since I had a pest issue. I received an email for the appointment confirmation for a service visit two days later. I rearranged my Saturday morning, missing my sons soccer game, but the company failed to show. Oh and that manager never sent me his information as promised.Ive requested a prorated refund for the 3 remaining services on my contract.

Great service! We’ve been customers for more than a decade in an area with a lot of empty fields because Certified keeps the spiders, mice and mosquitos away and doesn’t keep trying to upsell me every month. Technicians are always polite and friendly. Definitely recommend them!

They have the rudest customer service agent ever. They have the guy that does the inspection lie to you. They will lie about their services and the agreement. They want money for nothing. They got $160 for initial payment and guy came out and chose to not spray the inside of my home at all. Then the rude, untrained girl calls and says you are supposed to pay an additional $37 Monthly. For what? Thats not what the contract said. Its said you pay $37 for each of the 4 visits during the year of service. Plus what they sprayed in the yard did nothing, so why would I want them to come back out? Especially when their worker declined to do what was covered in the initial payment. These people are horrible. So PLEASE PLEASE do not trust them. Especially, if work too hard for your money to just give away.

I have their services but when I called to remove a snake, they asked me to wait 3 days till Monday!!!! Now that I want to cancel the services as it is useless to keep the services, I get multiple phone calls, emails. What a service ?They are asking cancelation fee without any logic. I am on a platinum plan and should not have a cancellation fee. This is what their rep told me when I called to cancel. Poor ethics for this comapny. I DONT recommend their service.

I have already discontinued my service with them because I am not happy with their service and accounting department. I requested to send me my final billing back in July and I paid it on September 1st. Now, I am still getting phone calls that I still owe them. Its not my fault that they cant get their accounting correctly. Now I have a bill of September 21st that I still owe them. Im a very unhappy customer. Im still getting text and voice message from them. I spoke to their accounting manager and said she will talk to the owner. I should not pay anything that was sent to me after July. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Very unsatisfied. I paid 136.53 for them to come out and set traps that I have spent the last few weeks cleaning up after because they wont come out and do it themselves. (What Im paying them to do) when I call take a week from the te I set the apt till they are SUPPOSED to come out them when I comes time for them to be here they call and cancel them when you call to reschedule takes them another week to set the apt. If I wanted to clean up after traps I would have set them myself and saved myself $100. I called and ask for a manager and all I got was the voice mail. Very unhappy, wont ever use them again.

I had their service, i dont recommend them, they wont allow you to watch what they are doing, and just they spray in random areas. for that we dont need to pay that much, we can buy some stuff in home depot or walmart for $10 bucks we can spray our self. he is quite rude while i am seeing what he is doing he asked me not to follow him. they suppose to provide what pesticide they spray, but very unprofessional nothing has given. i defiantly dont recommend . better buy a gallon from home deopt.

I called to get quote, the normal question about what is going on. I explained we had seen a water bug/roach inside the house. She then proceeded to get all my information and put me on hold for 3 minutes. Came back on the line to tell me that they dont treat roaches. I was surprised that they call themselves pest control.

Had mice get into our walls, and we have Certified for a quarterly pest service so I called them. Tech was sent out to give us a quote and my husband dealt with that but I still had unanswered questions. When a tech (Eric) came out for the quarterly service soon after, I asked him and he took the time to answer them and look around for me. (Even got out the grasshopper that jumped on my foot when I opened the door) Jason did the exclusion for us and was very polite and answered everything. Eric showed up too and both did a great job. Over all these guys were nice, did a wonderful job, and even cleaned up some of the droppings found. Thanks.

We kept getting an automated call saying we were delinquent in our payment when we never hired them in the first place. The former owner of the property had used them for one treatment as part of the home warranty during the purchase. The delinquent was, according to their employee, was actually an offer to renew the contract. This took 4 phone calls to get resolved. These harassing calls claiming we were delinquent on our payment was obviously a scam trying to trick us making us think we were about to have a credit hit. Dishonest business practice!

Got a free trial of the first from our estate inspector. And the service guy never showed up, so we didnt pay attention any more, since its free, whatever. But in the second year we received a bill of $108. I didnt sign up anything from them and the service never ever came for a single time!! The bill was not paid attention and trashed with other scam mails. And later we received the letter from a debt collector. That is ridiculous! And we have to contact the debt collector and the da**** CTPC to make sure there is no contract and we owed them nothing. I have no idea about the quality of the service because they never came to our house but the experience was like eating a fly. It is totally a scam and we will never have any business with them and would never recommend.

After multiple attempts to resolve the issues with this company, I am left with no choice but to start leaving reviews online. Being a small business owner, we dont like to leave negative reviews for anyone if there is even half a chance of resolving the issue without it. Unfortunately it is companies like this that are completely out of control that give the rest of us a bad name that require such responses.We have repeatedly received a bill for over $500.00 for work that was never performed. We filed a complaint with Angies List where we originally found them and received a reply from the owner that they were sorry and that we had nothing to worry about, that the bill was null and yet we have continued to receive several bills after the fact. We have emailed, called and spoken to different people, multiple times informing them of the error in their billing, complained about the fact that the service we had originally called about never actually occurred and every time we have spoken to someone they have all said they were sorry and they would handle it and yet, we still continue to be billed.I have read another review somewhere that stated that something very similar happened to them and now they are in collections. I am not certain if the owner of this company cares or even reads these reviews, but let me say this very clearly;IF I RECEIVE A SINGLE DEBT COLLECTION LETTER FROM YOUR COMPANY AND/OR THIS MATTER ISNT RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY, I WILL TAKE THE MATTER TO THE FTC AND STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TEXAS FOR FRAUDULENT BUSINESS BILLING AND PRACTICES AND WILL FILE SUIT UNDER THE FDCPA AND THE FCRA.For those of you still reading, I cant recommend this company in any way, shape or form, this whole experience has been an utter nightmare.

These guys are no good. Dont rely on the hypes of the website or other reviews.I had the most terrible experience with CTPC folks, just this month when I used them to exterminate rodents and squirrels nesting in my attic. These critters cut the wires to the burglar alarm system which already cost me plenty to fix. There was also a peculiar foul odor in the master bathroom, so I called CTPC because I already had them for bug spraying my house and yard and they were pretty good at it for years. Relying on the hypes from the website and disregarding other Exterminators ads, I decided to engage them for critter control. Ryan from CTPC promptly came and showed me all the possible causes, entry points on the roof and outside walls and all the evidence he found in the attic and then he gave me Solution proposal with an estimate for $1300.The estimate seemed too high for the solution offered compared to other estimates but without questioning, I signed the Contract. Two young guys were despatched for the job couple of days later.These kids found no dead or live rodents in the attic and so sealed up the entry points, laid bait traps in the attic and scheduled for follow up visits. At the first follow up visit a week later, no critters were caught in the bait traps but the foul odor in the master bathroom was still there. We were sure something died in the attic. Upon demanding immediate attention, CTPC tech Blake was sent the next day. He found a dead squirrel in the attic above Master bath. The carcass was removed and the attic was deodorized but the rotten stink was still there in the bathroom the next day and was even more repulsive. Upon demanding immediate attention, Tech Blake was sent again, only to find no solution. He said the dead carcass is behind the walls and he cant do anything about it. Obviously, the rodents that were left behind in the attic could not escape and died from dehydration and starvation. Blake said he can only deodorize the bathroom with more chemicals and CTPC can help no further and there are no guarantees. I felt ripped off after paying 1300 dollars.The whole extermination approach was sloppy and unprofessional. No squirrel cages nor one-way traps were placed to catch or drive away the critters before sealing all the entry points although charged for. Other Service professionals claim to chase away the critters before sealing entry points.I had to engage another service at additional cost offering Total Solution and LIFETIME GUARANTEE, this time. I wish I engaged these folks to begin with and saved a bundle and dry wall repairs.This guy Ryan never came back to check the work done nor call to ask our opinion. The attitude from the support staff was not cordial.Dont use CTPC for anything other than bug spray; even that is too expensive. These guys are no experts or professionals at anything but rip off.

This company sent me an email with a link saying I had a payment due of $140.00 not knowing what this was from I called the office to find out that they had inspected my property prior to my purchase and had provided a year warranty to continue the coverage would be $140.00. I find this tactic to be deceptive, by all impressions the email suggested I owed this money and had a bill to be paid. This was not the case but a poor attempt for this business to hustle an unsuspecting consumer out of $140.00. I try to avoid unethical businesses and hope this helps anyone else from falling for this.
