I had a calibration issue I needed sorted with an old car fitted with a new engine - Chevrolet in Acton refused to do it. Sal was more than willing and sorted the issue in 5 minutes. Just excellent. Support local mechanics and support right to repair!

I was on my way to an important meeting on a Friday around 5:40 p.m. when my car down stopped running. It was dark, right in the middle of a busy road.I called Sals for a tow and within a few minutes, Sal the owner himself, came . I was impressed. . He repaired my car and took good care of me . Sals is my new shop now.

Very good service. The mechanics are very good and trustworthy. They dont just rush the job. They take the time to do it right and will let you know when they find something you werent aware of. They are also great at finding you the best price for the work you need.

You dont maintain a good business for more than 40 years without doing things right. They deserve more stars than Google can provide.I have been going to Sals for years as I have been receiving very capable handling of all my automotive repair and maintenance needs. Did not matter if it was my vintage VW bus, wifes Honda, or my Mercedes SUV, as the mechanics are adept at their craft and fix things right the first time. I drive 45 minutes to get my work done there now that I have moved out of the immediate area. Hows that for an endorsement?Helpful suggestions from the technician, of work that will be necessary in the future helps me to plan ahead and keep my vehicles and family safe. But these suggestions come without the pushy scare tactics employed by so many other automotive facilities. Thank you for that.Honest. Professional. Knowledgeable. Courtesy at the tow, in the mechanics bay or front office. Quality repairs done right the first time. You cannot find a better solution to your automotive challenges than Sals.

I`ve been using their snow plow service for three years now. Every snow storm for the past three years, they cleaned up my drive way in time. I remember one Christmas they came in the early morning to clean the snow. I`m very satisfied with their service! I high recommend them if you live nearby.will try their car service in the future. :)

Very trustworthy honest family business. There is a reason as to why they have been serving this community with great ratings and have been family run for over 30 years. Great alternative to dealer and other repair shops. It is unfair to base customer satisfaction on part of towing services as they are authorized by Acton Police for on-call police tows.

Sal is a wonderful and talented auto mechanic and business man. I have relied on his expertise many many times. He diagnoses the problem on the spot and is not only prompt in fixing the car, but also tries to save the customer money.I went to the Honda dealership for a recall and they told me I needed an 875. dollar part. I took it to Sal and he said I only needed a 100. dollar part-- not the 875 part. And he fixed it right there and then.I have found him to be professional and good humoured. Never before have I witnessed such horrendous service as I have recently with Sals Auto & Truck Repair. I have lived in 4 states, several towns within Massachusetts, and have used a couple other services in Acton alone. And I can say, without even an inkling of hesitation, that this is the worst service I have received. Do NOT trust with your car, under ANY circumstances!

Just put 4 new Uniroyal Tires (special wheel balancing for a better ride - less vibration) on my dads Acura MDX (a 2002 - 186,000 miles) -- the car runs like new!! Sal is like a personal mechanic! Sals Auto is local, trusted, competent --- offer loaner cars - genuinely care about their customers.

This company plowed snow from a neighbors driveway across the street into our JUST CLEARED mailbox during the storm on February 2, 2015. When confronted, the driver, Eric, drove away after promising to come back and clean it up. When I spoke with Sal about it at first he denied any knowledge but then blew me off telling me his phone was dying and he was trying to fix his furnace. There is still a big pile of snow in the road. DO NOT USE THE SERVICES OFFERED BY THIS UNCARING BUSINESS OWNER! BUYER BEWARE!

Sals auto services all of my families cars. They have always done a great job and stand behing their work. Sal always provides us with ease and convience of scheduling appointments and loaning us a car when needed.

Despite the relation, my review is completely un-biased. Sal grew up working at the shop his entire life so his knowledge on cars is vast, and experience unparallell. He is always very fair, honest, and affordable as opposed to dealers who will jack up the prices of parts and services. Very thorough and has awesome 60pt inspection reports that illustrate what is in good condition, what will need replacing soon, and what really needs to be fixed ASAP (when requested). Takes time to show and explain to customers what he did/what repairs were done to their car including saving old parts to show customers who are interested in seeing what was wrong. Very careful to make sure repairs dont cost more then he tells customers it will cost on estimates so no surprise unexpected expenses. Very flexible when it comes to payment options.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The owner of this establishment has absolutely no care for customers and cared only about milking as much money as he could from us. If you do not believe me, I will be more than happy to explain what happened, and I am sure you will not only agree with me by the end, but also detest this establishment for their poor business etiquette and lack of value for their customers. Sals has definitely earned a medal from me for being the most unreliable auto shop within a 50 mile radius.Whatever you do, do not let Sal tow your car.EDIT: here is a slightly more descriptive reason of why you should not ever do business with Sals, but I am more than willing to explain in even more detail as this doesnt fully capture how poorly we were treated by Sals.From my Yelp Review: There are many other automotive service shops around Acton and even towns over that can do a much more honest and careful job with your vehicle. Sal himself did a horrendous job of towing our car, made us jump through multiple hoops to get it to our house, and successfully charged us 265 dollars to have our car moved from his shop to our house, which is less than a mile away. He used us to make a quick buck and treated us like dirt.Please do yourself a favor and dont listen to the other reviews, it seems like he only treats regulars well, and this is probably because he has stolen so much money from them already. This business has no care for their customers until they have been thoroughly ripped off by this sleezy business. Most of the other reviews you read are probably from people who couldnt even tell you how to change the tires on your car - these type of people will blindly believe anything Sal tells them is wrong with their car. All they walk away with is an empty wallet and a car with more problems than it went into the shop with.Sal tried to get us to spend even more money on fixes that were completely unnecessary and he had absolutely no knowledge of cars, thankfully my family is smart enough to see past his deceitful lies, but it seems as if many have already fallen prey to his cunning ways.0/10 cannot even look at this shop without thinking about how disgusting of a business Sal runs.

Sals Auto not only does a great job with regular routine SUV maintenance but recently diagnosed and repaired an intermittent faulty All Wheel Drive indicator light problem on our MDX. Very dependable.
