Aberdeen Smiles is amazing! After experiencing a dental related issue, which ultimately required an extraction, Dr. Drake arranged to meet me on a Saturday to take care of me. She was everything you’d want from a provider when going through a procedure like that. If you’re looking for a dentist who cares about you, will listen to you, and be there for you when you need it most, go to Dr. Drake. Also, Michelle! Thank you to her as well for helping arrange the appointment with Dr. Drake. She was a sweetheart.

Dr. Drake and the staff at Aberdeen Smiles provides an amazing and positive experience. I had extractions done and was pain free and very quick. I got upper and lower dentures and they are absolutely amazing. Great fit and look awesome. I cant thank Dr Drake and staff for such an amazing experience. Very nice people! I really like Aberdeen Smiles, I think the dentists are in too much of a hurry though. Id feel more comfortable with them taking a bit more time to make sure everything is 100% rather than just getting the patients in and out so we dont have to sit in the chair too long. Id rather sit too long so everything is right.

I went in for a cleaning, the hygienist was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I have a couple of teeth that need to be repaired, the dentist explained the procedure quite well. I highly recommend Aberdeen Smiles!!!

Dr. Christina Ky, performed nothing less than a miracle on My mouth today! Aberdeen Smiles was far better with Me and My circumstances than any other office in the surrounding area. I have never felt that much investment in customer satisfaction as I felt there. I am continuing to have a great relationship with this office and recommend it!

My kids and I first started going here when Dr. Drake was the dentist. It was a great experience for all 3 of us she was good with the kids as were the assistants. But since Dr KY came we always feel very rushed and she has terrible bed side manner. She was awful to me while getting fillings done. Also with my 7yr old daughter they tried to force an adult x-ray mouth piece down her throat other dentists have kid size mouth pieces. Also got random bills in the mail which is strange. We are switching dentist office. I gave a 2 because very clean and the front desk is very nice and works great with you.

Ok so love this gal that cleans my teeth… the whole staff is about NO PAIN… so normally I would do a numbing rinse just to do a cleaning and it would have taken an hour or more and this gal only takes like 30 minutes altogether. Just shocked and love it.. so much anxiety when going and it just stops when you go there and super surprised!!! Will never go anywhere else!!! Thanks bunches 🥰

Dr. Ky is amazing! Would recommend her to everyone! Shes super thorough and explains what she is doing and why, while wanting everything to be the best! The staff has always been super nice and accommodating. They are all wonderful people.

It was fine when Dr. Opp was the owner but now it’s deplorable. They try to charge you $10 to teach you how to brush your teeth (though you’ve brushed them just fine for decades). The dentist from Texas proposes excessive, expensive unnecessary treatments for cavities that do not exist. I needed one wisdom tooth removed but the checkout sheet had 2 wisdom teeth to be removed! So I lost trust. Finally they got cheap with the goodie bag.....after the cleaning I got a bag with just a toothbrush—no toothpaste or floss! Do not go here.

I wish I could give higher than a 5 star. Dr. Ky is literally the coolest dentist I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, kind, and has great bedside manner. Aubrey did my cleaning, and she was delightful. Everyone at the office is kind. For the first time, I look forward to going back to the dentist.

The receptionists are very welcoming and informative. They worked with me and my weird dental insurance. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. I had my wisdom teeth taken out and it was less than 30 minutes! The staff is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend Aberdeen Smiles to anyone and everyone!

I went in for my check up/cleaning in August (my third time at this dental office) and they told me I had 11 cavities. I thought that was extreme since I take good care of my teeth. The dentist sat down and told me if I didn’t get these taken care of right away my teeth would get worse. I had scheduled my first of two times to visit the office to get my fillings and I ended up cancelling because I wanted to get a second opinion. I went to a second dental office in town where they had viewed my x-rays that aberdeen smiles had sent them and also cleaned my teeth and found ZERO cavities. One of the dental hygienists also asked me if I floss and I responded by yes and multiple times a week and she responds with “really?” Making me feel like I’m lying or something is wrong with my teeth. When I went to my second opinion they told me my teeth looked amazing and are beautiful with no cavities.

They were amazing with my 3 year old and made her support comfortable!!

Dr Ky was excellent in giving me my first crown! She is a perfectionist and good at educating. She also made sure to check on my overall state several times. It all turned out well and I have one more scheduled.

Today was my 1st meeting with Dr Ky and she is very personable and wants to make sure things are done correctly. Rachel is just the greatest hygienist.

The dental assistants were very kind and helpful throughout the process, and did a very good job explaining what was happening and making my daughter comfortable with the procedure. The traveling surgeon was aloof but efficient at his job, and I am glad that he was willing to come so far.

I have been seeing the wonderful people at Aberdeen smiles for about 12+ years. Even after it has changed operators, the crew still performs to satisfaction! They have always taken the extra time to discuss options, procedures, and most importantly, breaking down the cost to understand where your dollar is going. Oh and if your looking to support a new hygienist ask for Miss. Jenna, I believe for a younger addition to the team she does a great job!

Had to have a filling and Dr Ky does excellent work and was very conscientious of a jaw issue I have so it was not sore for days:) Always excellent service from all the staff!

The staff here was amazing with my 4 year old daughter. She has only been to dentist once before and she screamed the entire time the first time. She went in to get a checkup and her teeth cleaned and they made her so comfortable she didnt even cry. Then she had to go back and get a filling and a tooth pulled and they were also very amazing. They were so great with her and I will ALWAYS bring my children here because of the great staff and how well they treat the children!

We just moved to Aberdeen South Dakota about a month and a half ago and we had our first dental appointment here. It was for my three kids and myself and we were even late to the appointment but they were SO filled with grace and understanding. The way that they treat and greet you there is top notch. I was in awe to have a hand paraffin wax done, and a chair with heat and a massager. I have never had an experience like that. I felt like I was at a spa. They explained things in great lengths to my husband and I in regards to our kiddos, as well as myself. What a great way to start my day. I couldn’t recommend them more. Great staff, very friendly. My 6yr olds adult tooth was chipped, made an appointment to see what our options were and they were able to fix it that day! They talked my 6yr old through all the steps which made her less nervous. I will definitely be bringing my other kids here as well. Worth the 80 mile drive.

I have been a customer of Aberdeen Smiles for over 14 years and continued with regular cleanings and X-Rays after Dr Opp retired. After my 3rd visit I received a billing for $57. I called Aberdeen Smiles, spoke to the receptionist and was told they charge over and above what is ordinary and customary. I reviewed my cleaning and X-Rays were 100% covered by my dental insurance and asked if the additional charge could be waived and they said no, that they are perfectly within their legal rights to charge additional charges. I believe they should let their customers know this before hand. I feel very deceived by Aberdeen Smiles billing practices and want to let as many people know about this as I can.

Came in to have my permanent cap put on. A couple days before my appointment I chipped my front tooth. I asked about having that chip repaired. Dr Valerie fit that repair into her schedule so I wouldn’t have to make another appointment. That meant a lot to me as I live an hour away! Koddo’s to Dr. Valerie and her team! I miss the way things were ran when Dr. Opp was in charge! These girls behind the desk have one heck of an attitude and it seems they are trying to compete as to who has more power. I have decided not to come back and I am finding a new dentist, which I hate doing. I absolutely will miss my hygentist! She was fantastic!Theres no other option at this point! And to top it off, the new dentist takes more sick days than what a 7 year old with explosive diarrhea takes off of school!

Horrible experience. My nightmare started in April 2018. I was still in pain as a result of your dentist at the Harlingen location experimenting on me by using a new sealent that fell out next day while I was out of town. I had to drive back from Corpus Christi as a result ruining my weekend for starters. From there things just kept getting worse. After it was refilled the same dentist put way more sealant then needed, even after I went back three additional times and re- polished I was still in pain and told her so, she seemed frustrated and irritated with me at that point. I heard she is no longer with your pratice anymore. Your entire office staff appeared irritated with me at this point I didnt care. They were not irritated or frustrated when it came to billing my insurance. Fast forward they directed me to your Mcallen office, I guess in hopes of getting rid of me. I met with a bit warmer reception there. The dentist was nicer. Your office staff not much. Two trips for the same issues, its now September mind you. He informed me my bite was still off and he re- polished two more times. I was starting to feel less pain and was able to finally eat with the right side of my mouth, only soft foods mind you. In OctoberI FINALLY gave up and called Dr. Eric Valle in Brownsville. Needless to say in one appoint with him, he resolved my issue. If I could rate you with zero stars I would believe me.

Like a lot of people, Im usually not all that thrilled to visit the dentist, but I actually had a really good experience with Dr. Fettig. If youre looking for a dentist whos friendly, competent, and gentle, Id strongly recommend giving her and her staff a try.

Took my son for his first visit, yesterday. We were both at ease, the clinic and its employees are kind and professional, and the clinic itself very clean and calming. The hygenist was great, very good with explaining what she was doing and considerate of any curiosities he had. The dentist, Dr. Fettig was also great, calm and professional, straightforward and told me things other dentists never have (like his very slight overnigh is not a problem, but he does have one). Luckily he has no cavities, so he got to have his picture taken and be on the no cavities wall. I love that they do something special to promote good dental hygiene with kids. Even my son said several times, This was my bestest dentist appointment ever! He cant wait to go back and see his pal, Tammy. 😊

Aberdeen Smiles is only receiving one star from me because I cannot give zero stars. I was a patient while this office was run by Dr. Opp and left because of the constant up selling of unnecessary procedures and products. I returned recently only to receive an invisalign quote, with the plans of keeping my current dentist for dental visits. With Dr. Opp no longer being the owner, I was optimistic about having a more positive experience for orthodontic treatment through Aberdeen Smiles. When calling to schedule my appointment, I asked a variety of questions and confirmed that I would be able to come in for a no-cost invisalign consultation appointment to get an idea of overall cost for the treatment, if I decided to pursue it. The receptionist confirmed that I would be able to come in and receive a quote at no cost if I brought in the mailer coupon from them. After arriving and completing general paperwork, I was brought back to the hygienist room where the hygienist began to question my dental hygiene based on their records of me not being in their office for 2 years. Her assumptions of me not taking care of my teeth and not brushing regularity without even looking at my teeth or asking when my last dental visit was, was extremely rude. After I clarified that I receive regular dental check-ups and cleanings and brush regularly at home, I was notified that I would be charged $100 for the consultation visit and that they would not be able to give me a quote without a charge. I stated that I was informed on the phone that I would be able to present the $100 off mailer coupon and have a no-cost consultation visit in order to get the quote. I was then taken to their finance assistant where she explained to me that she was misinformed and gave me the wrong information on the phone. She had know that she gave me the wrong information, however she did not call me to inform me of this before I wasted my time going in for the appointment. I had also shared my budget information on the phone with her prior to coming in, she would not share any costs at that time which I understood. However, while in her office she showed me the average base costs for 12 months and 6 months and they were much higher than I told her I was willing to budget for a few cosmetic fixes. In my opinion, you should save your time and money and not bother with Aberdeen Smiles. Drive a little further down the road and get a completely free no-cost consultation appointment with a full, accurate quote from VanLaecken Orthodontics... which is what I would have done in the first place. If youre searching for regular dental care, Aberdeen Dental Associates is beyond amazing in customer service and dental care.
