I usually get fresh fruit and vegetables. They started giving a little meat. Theres a few things I couldnt use and sometimes I can give away but it would be better if I could give the items back to the food bank. They are very good with people and fast. I appreciate their service each month when I go there. Thank you.

The food bank is supposed to supplement individual groceries but it gives enough food for a single person to last nearly a month. Sometimes too much fresh food requires blanching and freezing for consumption later. Sometimes items require store-bought seasoning and oils to make food bank items edible. Be prepared to buy additional items to make food bank food edible. ***Use Pinterest.com and Google searches for simple recipes for food bank items***

Great helpful place to get when you are in need of essential food

Thanks for helping Yuma low income people providing needed food when its needed the most. One recommendation, I wish you would restart the extra food boxes to be purchased at a reduced price. This really came in handy I used to get an extra American food box and a Mexican food box it really stretched my food budget. I wish you could offer this again.

So far I have only been here once, but based on that experience, you cant really go wrong! I got a good variety of quality products, the staff was very friendly, and after waiting your turn in line, the service was IMMEDIATE... they already had the cart filled and waiting in the cooler!I do recommend bringing bags or a decent size box though, as there were a number of items loose. Also keep in mind you can only go once per month.I personally on this single visit did NOT receive any rotten items as some others have mentioned, but if that ever turns out to be the case, I will certainly update/edit my rating, because believe me, I WILL be going back!

Great place to volunteer and help a great cause. Many less fortunate families come here for food assistance, and there is plenty of work to contribute here. Staff is friendly, and all adults are welcome to join hands here and give back to the Yuma community.

They give you pretty decent stuff and it helps out to go here if youre in a bind for food. Only reason for my rating is because some of the volunteers are rude. The person who assisted me made me feel like I was some lowlife just begging for free stuff. Mind you, I was picking up for my mom because she works and gets out too late. Anyway, they (the rude volunteers) should really work on their people skills. Theyre there to help the community, not make them feel bad for whatever reason theyre there to pick up food.

Yeah Ive seen the food that comes out of that place is fabulous and a lot of it is very abundant nice people for a community service helping people that needy out if youre in need go sign up there where you will leave with some food and youll meet some very very nice people I highly recommended if you are short of cash or in a family emergency or any reason at all they make it accommodating and theyre very very nice people I would recommended if you need it

Very simple process, very efficient. Not invasive with questions. Go in, fill out a form, grab a grocery cart from the walk in coolers, and take it home.

I have lived in 3 cities where I needed to avail myself of a food bank and tbis is THE BEST!! you dont get treated like the dregs here. They show respect and kindness. If you are a Senior you get treated like royalty, thank goodness. They are helpful and professional. Tne variety of tje food you hey varies bevause of the time of year. In the winter and spring there are ALOT of fresh veggies to be had. Also the snow birds donate good stuff!!
