Called on Monday to make an appointment. Said to bring it in on Wednesday at 8:30. Dropped it off and asked about how long. He said it would be 2-3 hours before he could look at it. I waited till 1:30 to call and check the status. He said they just started I see that they close at 5 so I call at 4:05. He said they hadn’t even started on it. He couldn’t even call to say they hadn’t started on it. Was he planning on keeping it and not letting me know!?!So my husband calls to ask and he tells him to just come and take it else where. Very rude and unprofessional.

Had an unfortunate break down on a Monday 30 miles outside of Yuma in my way to San Diego from Phoenix. My insurance approved repair shop said they couldnt get to my vehicle until next week. Tow truck driver told me about Bill from Richards auto repair shop and gave him a call. He was able to inspect my vehicle Wednesday and had it repaired by Thursday. This meant a lot to me because I needed my vehicle done by Friday as I returned from San Diego. Bill was polite and honest. The price was fair and I wouldnt hesitate to give him my business again.

I needed a new radiator and cooling fan. After checking out a few places decided on Richards. Service was fast, affordable, and professional. These are real mechanics. Ill be taking my vehicles to Richards Foothills Auto Repair from here on out. Highly recommend.

Terrible customer service. Made an appointment to have the vehicle evaluated and they kept it all day and didn’t even touch it. When I called, the guy that answered the phone told me that I could just come pick up the car and take it somewhere else. Would not recommend ever.

I was traveling back from San Diego when my AC in my car stop working. I stopped at Richards Auto Repair to see if they could fix it so I could continue on my trip. It was fricken hot!I thought the worst, but the mechanic checked it out and it was only a fuse. I was so happy with their service. They treated me very well, knowing I was from out of town they could have very easily taken advantage of the situation but didnt. After they replaced the fuse for the air conditioning, I was back on the road in no time. My AC works great! This is a Auto AC repair shop you can trust!

The best auto repair shop I have ever been to. They could have very easily taken advantage of the situation and Charged me over a thousand dollars but the owner Bill is a Honest business man.I thought my Air conditioning went out, and I went in to Richards Auto Repair to have it checked out. I thought at the very least it was low on Freon.To my surprise, it was just the filters needed to be cleaned. He didnt even charge me the Summer Special rate for AC service of $40.In fact he didnt charge me anything! You got to like that!

Made a appointment for 10: 00 am to have my AC checked when I arrived said they couldnt get to it until late afternoon after working on another rig, they called and said all it needed was freon . Now its not blowing cold, so needed something else. 40.00 dollars down the drain, I thought they would have done a dye test for leaks but no testing of the system, not very professional. WILL NOT GO BACK.

Way better than Pep Boys! I brought my 99 Jeep Wrangler in to get the exhaust manifold replaced. They charged a reasonable price and had it done in half a day! They were very fast and highly professional. I definitely recommend them!

I took my Honda CR-V in for regular maintenance at the Honda dealership and they told me I needed to do ~$1700 of repairs. That just wasnt happening, so in shopping around I found Richards. They looked at the list of repairs and said they could do it for ~$1200. That was better! A few hours after I dropped of my car, it was ready, and they let me know that they only had to do ~$450 worth of repairs because the others werent necessary.Definitely go to Richards! The staff is honest, pleasant, and efficient, and the price is much better than the dealerships.

I had a new steering box and headlight switch installed. They did a good job and got me in sooner as I needed to be leaving town in a few days. At a good price also.

Exceeded expectations. Needed to have a bracket screw removed to fix an accessory, but did not have the special tool. Dropped by, got immediate attention, they had the Torx #30 bit and removed blind self-tapping screw in less than 10 minutes, at NO charge. Even told me places where and cost to buy the tool locally - which I did after thanking the man with a tip! How great was this experience - motivated me to write this review!

Ridiculously high prices. Took my car in for an oil change and to have the wheels checked out. I left with a $300 bill!!! They charged me $194 for 1.5 hours of labor. To make matters worse, they couldnt even fix the problem and referred me to another guy. I couldnt believe it. Do NOT go here, do NOT refer your friends here. Stay away. I can pretty much guarantee these guys are the highest charging garage in Yuma, AZ.

Our car broke down coming back to PHX from San Diego and LUCKILY FOR US we happened to pull off the interstate right at Richards Foothills Auto Repair.Our car couldnt be driven any further so we had no option but to get the repairs done here. We really couldve been taken advantage of but we werent.The work was done quickly and properly AND the price was very fair.Which is exactly what we want from a mechanic.Also beyond that, everyone there was super nice and even went so far as to drive us back to our motel room when we dropped the car off and then came and picked us up when it was ready.Great folks and considering the terrible circumstances for us, an Excellent Experience.Our only complaint is that theyre not here in the Phoenix area so we could take our cars to them for all our repair needs. :-)

Great service! We were on our way to the sand dunes with a toy hauler in tow. We broke down just outside of Yuma, blown radiator hose, and Richards was the only place that would get us in on the same day and got us back on the road within 1 hour. They started working on the truck before the tow truck even unhooked, the mechanic just jumped up there and started going to work!! They put us in front of the line and helped us out with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area. Hopefully we wont have anymore car trouble on the way to the dunes but if we do I know where I will be going.

Misdiagnosed my car, said it needed a new computer unit. Later found just a bad connection repaired by just tightening connector.

Truck water pump went out, called them first thing in the morning. They got me in, gave me a price and actually stuck to that price, got me out in a really reasonable amount of time. When I mentioned I was starving they gave me a ride to and from Dennys some 3 miles away. Couldnt ask for better service at a reasonable price. If I ever break down near Yuma, Bill is my guy to call.

Didnt seem to keen on even looking at my vehicle after I had booked an appointment with them arrived on time etc. I begged for them to just look at the AC it might just need Freon. Yup thats all it needed 40 bucks for five min work. Go somewhere else where theyre a bit hungrier for work is my advice!

This shop changed hands about a year ago and all the positive reviews are about the old owners. The new guys are totally incompetent. Worst mechanic I have ever been to in 50 years. I went in for some front end work - new pitman arm, idler arm, tie rods and upper ball joints. They told me the control arm and bearing I supplied had broken during installation and they had to replace the bearing at my cost. When I got the truck back the wheel pointed to 3 oclock to drive straight ahead and there was 10 degrees of play in the steering. Took it back and they finally figured out the pitman arm was the problem - they told me I had supplied the wrong part (OK I got it from Amazon) so I told them to get the right one from NAPA. Well that one didnt fit either so they put the original one back on but still charged me for labor. I went to the alignment shop they used to get the truck re-aligned. Chassis Dynamics were able to fit the pitman arm I got from Amazon just fine but there were still problems. Unfortunately we were heading to Blythe so I had to wait a while to get it fixed. Mead auto in Blythe spotted the bearing Richards had installed as the problem. It was rotated 90 degrees out of position and had subsequently caused wear on the control arm so I had to get that replaced after only a few months. The $800 I paid Richards ended up costing me another $600 to fix their incompetence.
