Sterling ran engine codes and test drove my vehicle. Chrysler codes tend to be proprietary, so he was not able to fully diagnose the issue. He provided code sheet printout and charged nothing because his policy is there is no charge for an issue he can not fix. (I know that his time must have been at least a couple of hours). Very honest and honorable. Will use his services again and highly recommend.

My sons Honda Civic aluminum skid pan lost its rivets and sustained moderate damage by dragging on the asphalt. I took it to Yucaipa Auto Electric expecting to pay for a replacement pan and labor. I was pleasantly surprised when Sterling called me with an update. He told me the pan was still usable and that they could purchase rivets and reinstall the same pan. The total cost was about $75.Yesterday, I took my nine-year-old Ford truck to Yucaipa Auto Electric as I suspected my suspension needed to be replaced, and there was an unusual sound coming from the backside of my instrument panel. After conducting an initial diagnostic, Sterling called to tell me the suspension was fine and that the noise was related to my tires as they were wearing unevenly. He recommended I replace my tires. To my surprise, he did not charge me for the diagnostic. And by the way, they don’t sell tires.In both of the above examples, the business could have replaced the skid pan (as it was chewed up), and replaced my shocks and struts as I have over 100,000 miles on them. Instead, they opted to save me money which I very much appreciate. Due to Sterlings honesty and wanting to save me the extra costs, they have won me over and have a customer for life. I highly recommend them as they have skilled mechanics who can be trusted to complete repairs at a reasonable price. I will no longer look elsewhere for my automotive repair needs.

I really appreciate honesty and camaraderie! They were absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I had simply called to see if they could perform a Smog Check on my car. Since my car required a Star Certified Smog Check they were unable to handle it there, but they highly recommended another establishment in the area. That is a sign of great character, and its something you dont see enough of. I wound up going to them for a 40 Point Inspection, and they were sOo accommodating! This was very important to me being that Im temporarily disabled, and needing my car to be in top shape for a long trip to see a specialist. They were quick and efficient, and helped to ease my mind about my upcoming journey. It really was an experience that will have me going back!

Sterling was extremely helpful when it came to fixing my truck! My check engine light came on and the mechanic fixed it but it came back on. Sterling took my truck back a total of three times until he found the problem. I was only charged for the initial fix not for the other visits! I dont know how to thank Yucaipa Auto Electric enough! Sterling was amazing. I took my car to another auto shop to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix my low beams. That auto shop told me it would cost over $1000, because my headlights were aftermarket. Frustrated, I brought my car to Yucaipa Auto Electric. Sterling found my problem within 10 minutes, and it cost me $142. He could’ve jacked up the price, but he didn’t. He’s an honest and kind man who won’t steer you wrong. Very good shop. Clean, organized, the manager (owner?) is personable and easy to work with, and their bill was very reasonable. Now I know why YAE was highly ecommended to me by another local shop that could not find and fix my vehicles issue. In my experience YAE went above and beyond what many other shops would have done. Its nice to find a shop or any business that seems more interested in doing right by the customer rather than treating the customer as an inconvenience as so many businesses do these days. My car stalled on the freeway and we couldnt figure out why. I had it towed to Yucaipa Auto Electric and Sterling immediately contacted me letting me know the car was at their location and that he would get back to me shortly with a diagnosis. Within an hour or so, Sterling notified me of the problem and due to the work being a complete engine rebuild, referred me to an engine shop without hesitation. Had my father in laws van towed to YAE after it unexpectantly stalled on I-10 at the recommendation of AAA. We got to YAE just as they were closing but Sterling stayed late to ensure he could look at it the next morning.They open at 8 Am and by 11Am, they had found the issue and promptly corrected the issue. Sterling and his mechanics are very skilled craftsmen but more importantly they were friendly and courteous which is hard to find now days.I dont live anywhere near Yucaipa, but if I did, YAE would be my one and only go to garage for all my automotive repair work.

The mechanic working on my car was kind as well. You can tell Andre takes pride in what he does and guarantees his work with longer terms than other places. His oil changes are competitively priced. Made an appointment between 8-9 this morning for a new vehicle inspection. The appointment was made with the condition that my truck be complete by 1:00 I arrived at 8:40. They had accepted a bunch of walk-in business and my appointment was changed. They said my truck will not be ready till 5. Appointments dont count for crap with these guys and they dont care if they leave you hanging.
