I just finished my first tour with Mrs.Katie. It was a very pleasant and professional experience. She listened to all of my needs and was able to find the perfect rental for me. I have a dog and a cat so it has been very hard to find somewhere that allows them both. I am so excited to get my application results back and to hopefully move in to the beautiful home i got to see :)

Originally when we went to go look at the house, we made an appointment and the person showing never showed up. We ended up making a second appointment and they actually showed up. After signing the lease everything was fine for the first 6 weeks. Even during the pandemic we have always paid our rent on time if not early. Covid hit and during that time we had flooding in the basement (The maintenance person mentioned this was an issue a year and a half before we moved in and was not disclosed to us) a lightbulb explode, and other repairs that needed to be done and never addressed. It took us over two months to get our lawn mowed and received Two complaints from the city of Ann Arbor. The only time we ever received a response back was after we said that we would not re-sign our lease. I would not recommend this company purely because they are very unprofessional in responding to any of your concerns or issues. It was not disclosed that the basement flooded and Im now going through the insurance to replace at least $3000 worth of property that was damaged. $1600 for a two bed room house that floods isnt worth it. Very unprofessional and would never recommend. *** As of 8/31/20 was 30 days after our lease ended and no word on our deposit even after emailing. This company is terribly unorganized and unprofessional. Do not rent from***

I have lived here for many years now and am very happy with the service i receive from both management and maintenance. Anytime i have a questions or concern about something they always do their best to resolve my issues in a quick manor. If you are looking for a place to live i would highly recommend calling Mrs.Katie, she is a great pleasure to work with!

It takes forever and multiple complaints before anything gets done or fixed unless you go straight to the emergency number, though even then it can take months to fix or it wont get fixed at all. Everything from pipes, to fixtures are no priority here. Not to mention the customer service is non existent. I have seen more people get evicted in one year of living with these property managers than I have in my life. They do not maintain any common areas or laundry rooms and they dont even try except for the obvious salting snow to avoid liability.

It is 12/16/20.I HAVE BEEN RENTING A HOME FROM REDSHIELD RENTALS FOR 6 WEEKS.I HAVE HAD A PLUMBING ISSUE FOR 10 DAYSTHERE HAS BEEN SEWAGE COMING DOWN FROM MY CEILING FOR 3 DAYS.I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE MY KITCHEN OR SHOWER FOR 10 DAYS!!I HAVE ASKED TO HAVE THE PLUMBING REPAIRED & THE WATER CLEANED OUT.THE LANDLORD, IN RETURN, HAS POSTED A FAKE EVICTION ON MY DOOR INSTEAD!!I HAVE ONLY BEEN LIVING HERE FOR A FEW WEEKS.THE HOUSING AUTHORITY & HEALTH DEPARTMENT HAVE BEEN CONTACTED.DO NOT RENT FROM REDSHIELD!IT IS A HEALTH HAZARD & THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!

I also, was hired as a contracted new rental move in cleaner. And I understood from the beginning that the cleaning for these units is a bit different than your typical housekeeping. The company was fair and quite timely in their payments. The maintenance team was friendly and even helpful when I encountered them. The girls in the office are outstanding and pleasant to work with. Actually, the units themselves are quite nice, I may even consider a move myself.

Katie, the general manager at Red Shield, has been nothing but great. She is accommodating and understanding, and when I was having issues with old neighbors dumping trash everywhere, she took care of it. Very responsive to my concerns and replied to my emails quickly. Also provided all of the units in my building with nice big new trash cans which I really appreciated as the old ones were in pretty bad shape. I also appreciate being able to pay all my fees and rent through Venmo. The price for my unit is the most reasonable I’ve come across in the area, and I’ve had no issues with my unit itself. Maybe if you guys fixed the big gaping moldy insulation leaking hole in my bathroom roof I would feel more Inclined to leave a better review . Oh ans btw this is the SECOND time I listed a formal complaint with the Washtenaw county health department for this company . Do NOT rent from them they don’t care about people just the money.

Very unprofessional company to work for. I was hired as a contracted cleaner. Each time I was to get paid i had to wait days because they are highly unorganized. When called to the job there was people still working on the apartment, so I had to work around the maintenance men because no one knew how to schedule accordingly. When I told them I was raising the hourly rate because the previous jobs had pretty much been construction jobs, they decided they didnt want me doing the jobs. Huge waste of my time and products. Not to mention the apartments were disgusting. They want quality work but dont want to pay for it. Unprofessionalism at its finest.
