I used to take my mother to this office. The office staff and audiologist were friendly, informative, and very professional. They were also very thorough. My mother also enjoyed the complimentary cup of coffee.

Personal Testimonial:I have been 1/2 deaf since I was a child. I couldn’t hear stereo but I could feel it. Headphones were useless unless the source was set to Mono. And I love music.I believe that humans are the most adaptable animals. For over 50 years, In social situations, I asked everyone to sit on my right. Or, made sure I had the seat on the far left. Family and friends became “trained”. I heard pretty well, I thought.Until, it was pointed out to me, that you need 2 working ears to tell where sound comes from. And, eventually, that became an issue. At age 67 someone yelled “Look Out!” and before I could determine where the sound was coming from, I was knocked to the sidewalk, by a young man on a scooter. I wasn’t unconscious, but my scalp was bleeding resulting in 9 staples in my head. This incident, sent me on a renewed quest to improve my hearing. I asked Drs if there was anything in modern technology that could help me hear where sound comes from. Of course, that’s a no.First, it was suggested that a cochlear implant might help my hearing. To me that seemed invasive and I still would not know where sound comes from.I inquired at Centers for hearing in Austintown and agreed to have an evaluation. Apparently at age 69 I have some loss in my good ear as well. We decided on a Bicross hearing system.RESULTSThe system I was fitted with, takes sound from my deaf side and sends it it my right ear. My hearing is improved. But, that’s not the best part!In social situations, I can hear the person on my left side! Without, bossing people about where they must sit. Or, twisting myself around to hear them.I can hear the TV and radio at a comfortable level for others in the room. And to be honest, I don’t misunderstand what’s being said because, I am hearing all the conversation without loosing bits.Music is still mono. But, with the app on my iPhone, I can listen to music “in my head” and play games on my phone and those around me don’t hear the sounds.Pretty cool right? So, while ‘LOOK OUT’ still doesn’t help me tell where threat is coming from, I am more comfortable and confident with my new hearing abilities.

I have gone there for my hearing needs for many years, always satisfied. I understand that covid has changed the operations of many places . But. I think your restrictions are a little over board. I cant even stop to get wax filters for my hearing aids without making an appointment. Dont knock on the door the sign says, call. but you still cant talk to anyone except an answering machine. Restaurants are open, stores are open. Its time you open.
