Best Customer Service I’ve seen in a long time. I dealt with Kenya, receptionist,Jayson,Manager, and Mike, mechanic. All 3 really tried their best to help me solve an issue with my car after I had a very upsetting experience with a dealer in the area who were not truthful in their business practices. .They take an interest in their job, and try to help the best they can. They answered questions, saw me in a timely manner, and were thorough in checking the car. Together they are a great team!!!
Went to Mavis Discount Tires today breaks sounded ruff, Mavis found the problem fixed it in a timely manor and all the staff their were highly professional. I felt I was charged a very fair price on top of it all. I felt so unsafe driving around with that sound going on with my breaks... Glad I went she feels new again! Thank you so much to the entire team there, shoutout to Greg and the boss Luis, he rocks too! Also the young lady Kenya she was also very nice and helpful too. Lets not leave out the Mechanics too who actually did the work. Didnt catch his name but job well done on my car boss! Yonkers!
Ive been going to this location for a few years now and the service has always been A plus. Recently the service has not been that great. Depending on who is there will tell you how your experience will be. I know if Mike isnt there Im doomed. Ive had to return three times with my car in less than a month. I sat for three hours and was told my car just had brake dust. I was almost in an accident on the Hutchinson because my car was shaking uncontrollably. Finally made it back to Mavis and 5 hours and over $600 more spent the issue was almost resolved. Still have noise and pulling so I will have to go back again. Thank you Mike and Keyna for providing excellent customer service today.
Had a slow leak in one of my tires for a couple of days. Constantly having to fill it was annoying. Other tire places couldnt make time for me, but Mavis let me drop my car off on my lunch break. They found a nail in the tire, removed it and patched the tire. My car was ready and waiting for me when I finished work that evening. Great job especially on a day where they were short staffed! Thanks very much!

My day today started out pretty rough. While driving on the highway, one of my front tires stripped. I called in and spoke to Greg. He made this process seamless and easy. Greg and his team were super polite and answered all of my questions. He got me in and out in no time. Thank you so much! You definitely turned my day around!

I got a flat tire and called a few places. I called Mavis in Yonkers and was super happy to speak with Greg who guided me through the process and made me feel welcome. I drove here and all the guys working were super friendly.I came in an electric car so it had to be specially jacked and Juan was very familiar with this process which helped me feel confident in their experience. Steve who very carefully drove my car and jacked it up, then quickly found the issue. He reassured me that this is very common and quickly patched up the work.A+ to the team. Thank you! If my business grows, I’d love to hire Greg, Juan and Steve. Solid team.
Where should I begin?I ordered my tires via Amazon. Amazon allows you to select 3 times that would work for me, mavis would call me within 24-48 hours to confirm. No phone call, no email, no text message. My tires were then delivered. I call to see when they would be able to get me in. I was advised by “Luis” and I quote “Amazon never generated a ticket in the Mavis system to have my tires installed” ok Maybe Amazon dropped the ball. Luis calls me back advised that his system shows “a blank order” in the mavis system. Luis then says he must cancel the Amazon installation portion of my order. Luis does some finessing with his “main location” my installation charges are then refunded via Amazon. I was then told “come down whenever you’re ready… we’ll squeeze you in” 🤔 what? I don’t want to wait 3 hours to be “squeezed in” so I went on the mavis.com made an appointment. An appointment to have my inspection done & tires installed. Day of my appointment just 1 hours before I was scheduled to be there… I was called & advised the man who does the inspections is not in today. I was told I can still come in to have the tires installed. As I was speaking to the person I informed them that I scheduled an appointment so I can be seen at my time & not sit there for hours. I was advised that if there is a walk in that comes into the location prior to me arriving they will be serviced before me even though I have a scheduled appointment at 11am 🤔😒 say what?! I advised the clerk I would like to just come pick up my tires. I will have them installed somewhere else. I was assured that was fine.Guess what I get there and they were having trouble locating my tires that Amazon delivered. Once they were located they were bought to the lobby. I loaded them in my car & left. Everything was okay until LUIS called me & ultimately said that I STOLE!! 😡 excuse me? I paid for these tires via Amazon. They belong to me. Luis says AND I QUOTE “once the tires are sent to his location they are property of mavis” 🤔🤔 sir I can send the paid invoice from Amazon showing that they were already paid for, but just shipped to your location.As I sent the screenshot to his PERSONAL CELL PHONE. He says I need to come back and pay for the tires & call Amazon for a refund. I told him he needs to call amazon. He says YOU’RE THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO CALL AMAZON 😮 😂😂😂 this place is a JOKE!!! I don’t know how they stay in business but I will NEVER EVER EVER go there again! I will NEVER EVER recommend any one I know to spend their money at mavis EVER EVER AGAIN!!! Why would LUIS tell me to come back to pay him for the tires when I already paid Amazon?
I really REALLY do not leave reviews but today I actually felt the need. I work as a Customer Service Manager for a Fire Safety Company. To me customer service is everything and huge representation of the establishment. Today I met a young man by the name of Raul who not only answered all my question but he went as far as giving me advice on what might be best FOR ME and cost efficient. He paid attention to details, he let me explain, he never cut me off and he catered to my needs instead of just treating me like a sale. I will forever by anything from this location because of him. I do not know his position but with his professionalism, he should be a manger! Way to Go Raul.
This Mavis location in Yonkers is great! The staff is very courteous and professional. I came in at 8 am for 2 new tires and a wheel alignment and they had me out within an hour. The staff was on point with the specific needs for my car and got the work done promptly. Greg, Rasheem and the other members of the staff were some of the best people I’ve dealt with in regards to automotive repair. Local repair shops are so difficult to trust but this Mavis location went above and beyond my expectations.
I went here to get new tires the wait wasnt long and i was greeted by someone named Michael. Very professional and knowledgeable in his field. Explained to me what kind of tires i needed and what was best for my car. Awesome customer service i will definitely be back when my car needs work!

Our tire needed a patch. We showed up, and they did a great job of patching the tire while we waited. They were super-fast even though they were very busy. The front desk person was nice and efficient--he went above and beyond to get the job done.

Went in for a routine oil change and had every aspect of my car checked free of charge. Needed a car battery and labor wasn’t charged for that either.From appointment time to leaving, it was 2 hours total on a Tuesday. All-around excellent service.

First off I want to give all my appreciation to Josh the store manager also the shop workers, I work in a dealer where we have it good and seeing how people can be so nasty and disrespectful because they can’t get their way sickens me.People think this car stuff takes 5 minutes, this place is a service building your car can take all day! People ask why is it taking so long when they see a shop full of people! Crazy!Many points have to be taken upon this review and I am pointing to corporate.I out of many people had “reservations” but me working at a dealer I knew it clarified dropping your car off but your call center gives the assumption that people’s bays are held for them and how can u make an appointment or reservation for inspection, at my dealership white plains Honda we do not take any appointments or reservations like what happens if u have 1 working inspector???I’m sending this review off to a message to the people, you are taking your car to them for services don’t be mad because of a long wait, some places wouldn’t even take you. Also these guys seem to have no lunch breaks take it easy, sad to hear so many people being disrespectful to the guy at the counter I would of lost my $h!t!! Also this place isn’t a flat fix there’s no way they can get ur car in n done in 20 minutes unless they’re completely dead because I am a customer and I’ve seen and had rapid service before.Big salutes to Josh the manager of this location he’s honest and transparent about things and he runs this place but it seems that he does need a slight bit of an extra hand to do his tedious work.Also Louis the Regional manager for keeping his cool and professionalism the whole time.Hope this gets to corporate eyes.

They always take care of me. And theyre honest. You may have to wait a while but, I make good use of the time. Can get a bagel nextdoor and a pedicure further up on Yonkers Ave. Walking is good for bone health.
Watch for surprise charges. If you call your call goes to a central location where they will tell you any number they want, but there is no record of it at the store. I received a quote of $439 for 4 tires + tax complete - the actual bill was $565 + tax. They add stems and balancing which they do not mention before. Also they add a misc tax. WATCH OUT.

My experience at the Mavis tire store was a great experience from the time I called to get a confirmation number to the time I showed up to the front desk and was greeted by Michael who was very professional, courteous, and pleasant. He answered every question I had, and kept me well informed of the status of my car. I came in for front brakes, and a wheel rotation since this is where I got my tires and brakes done before. Excellent service from beginning to end from the front desk to the mechanic who worked on my car. Thank U Micheal, thank U Mavis.
Very convenient location. Went there about a week ago to get a price for new tires, the person at the front didn’t seem to be interested in helping us and I ended up changing my tires somewhere else.
Great experience, brought my rims and tires into the shop and both Jayson and Kayla (sorry if I got her name wrong) went above and beyond. The staffers even answered my 3 year olds questions related to hi daddy car. Thanks Jayson!!
Unfortunately, the Manager (Josh) is the reason that this location has a poor reputation and negative reviews. Greg (at the front desk) and Michael (Mechanic) are both exceptional, polite and professional. The attitude of the manager is a poor reflection of the Mavis brand and the Yonkers location. I ended up going to another location to have an issue resolved because Josh is so discourteous. He could benefit from training in customer service and professionalism.
Excellent customer service. I Purchased 4 new tires in January 21 and was quoted one price and when I went to pick up it was about $100 more. The manager Josh showed me what happened in the computer (Quote was just tires not balancing etc) He gave me 2 free oil changes for the mistake. It was greatly appreciated. Came back in March with a flat tire since it was free because of warranty so I took it there, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is for the 3 hour wait to fix nail in tire.
Very very bad experience, came 4th time today for the same brake problem. Do not bring your car here. They are tire shop, not a mechanic.

SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN! I visited this location three consecutive days because my tire pressure indicator illuminated. Greg was polite and professional, as was Michael who assessed the vehicle and advised that an alignment was necessary, amongst other services. I felt as if I was on a roller coaster when driving my vehicle from the location. I called to express my concerns and I asked to speak with the manager expecting to be heard and to have my issues resolved. Joshua whose behavior is DEPLORABLE, made excuses rather than apologize. I went to another service center to learn that the number on the left was three times the number on the right! In this field, one must maintain a level of respect and professionalism, despite frustrations. Joshua does not have the ability to do so and should not be at management level.
This place is the absolute WORST! You make an appointment and it is absolutely useless with this place. Ive gone there five times with an appointment, and walked out four times because of a 60+ min wait after my scheduled time. This was the last time, no more chances. They either drastically over book and you are left to suffer, or their mechanics are incompetent and dont know how to fix $#!T in a reasonable amount of time. Either way, I will NEVER be going back here again. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a different competent company/mechanic....I know I will be.

Although I was there for 2.5 hours (with an appointment) for a tire rotation and balance, the experience was pleasant and the staff was courteous and respectful. Assistant Manager Greg was great and explained/showed me additional issues with my brakes and shocks. I will definitely go back for additional services.

We came in at 8am and we were told that we would be out by 2pm. It is now 4pm and we havent had any news about the car and when we checked Noone was working on the car. Would not recommend. This place also has no seating and is dirty.
Showed up near closing time to address a leak in my passenger side front tire. Greg and the guys were able to fit me in and take care of the nail in the tire. After the tire was fixed I wasn’t even charged for the work. Great experience and I will definitely be back.Thank you again!

I had an excellent experience from the manager Joshua to the mechanic, Michael. Joshua informed me that Michael is a Toyota specialist. Something that normally takes a week to do was done within 10 minutes, Mike listed everything that was wrong with my car. I thought I only had an oil leak. However, I needed rear struts, a radiator, to fix a couple of engine oil leaks, etc. Although I didn’t have an appointment, my car was fixed in record time at a reasonable price in these pandemic times. I feel like I have a brand new car, at least on the inside which makes me feel like a brand new person.

Overall, customer service was okay during the first TWO visits I had within THREE weeks over the same tire; but my THIRD visit in less than a month was disappointing. Firstly, I was accused of losing the wheel lock to my tire by the assistant manager during (reiterate it was the THIRD visit in less than a month). Michael was accusatory and obtusely located MY LOCK on the mechanics cart. No apology although I was expressing to him that someone there had it. He is extremely chauvinist and a smart aleck. My tires were less than a month old before one had a bubble; it was defective which is why I was there THREE times. On Thursday, I was told to return that evening for a new effective tire and to expect a call from them all to learn on FRIDAY evening (I was patiently waiting) that the tire was never ordered. Saturday I called again and was told they were too busy to replace the defective tire but I would be prioritized on SUNDAY. THURSDAY to SUNDAY for one tire and a two hour wait despite being there before opening. Although I had purchased a warranty during the first visit, I was told I had to pay nearly $60 additional. No way when the tire was defective. The combined cost would have been over $200. Absolutely not when it was not due to my negligence. The assistant manager Michael became very irate over the phone and hung up on me because he could not resolve the issue or be accommodating. I called back and informed him that I will contact corporate to report his lack of communication, problem solving and customer service skills. His exact words were, So what, call. Thats what they always do. I reported Michael to corporate; very nice. I am expecting a call back form the regional manager, Lewis, during business week hours. Aside from my issue with this one particular person, the other workers thus far were professional. Prior to my instance, other customers were extremely frustrated and leaving to go elsewhere. Now I understand why. I am requesting a refund on my warranty because I will never use Mavis again. First and last time. I would not recommend.

I guess they did a good job on my tires and no one was actually rude to me persay but i did witness employees being rude to other customers. It seems as if you question their opinions on what’s wrong ( when most of the time they’re just trying to make more money and nothings wrong) that’s when they become agitated and rude to customers. The tall African American manager with the messed up teeth seems to be the worst. How can a company be so desperate for employees they keep the bad ones? A women said she was going to complain to corporate and he just laughed at her “they all do that good luck” was his exact words. It’s beyond disgraceful a company would keep people like that in their stores. The Spanish guy who helped me was ok but asked me to make a review which a company shouldn’t be begging people to make reviews. Even tho that guy was kind to me after witnessing the verbal abuse that this company allows their employees to do I won’t be coming back.
Waited 3 hours after being told they have the replacement tires, to then be told they couldn’t complete the task because they in fact didn’t have them. Worst is that they took my car gave me a receipt and everything. Standing there and wasn’t acknowledged by anyone there, not even eye contact. When I approached them, they stated they forgot about me due to lack of communication. That’s just insane, the company has good products but the service and customer appreciation lacks.

The 1 star is for the front desk service and the deal I got in the beginning. The lack of the other 4 stars are for the actual work and the management of time in the back. Dropped off the car at 8am for a wheel stud and tires. Was called back around 10am to be informed that the tires were not in stock and for recommendations on rotors and brakes. I stopped by the store, since I was nearby and after a brief discussion with Mike, we concluded on the stud and tires only, which Mike said were now in stock and that it would be done in about an hour. I return to the store 2 hours later and see that the car is still on the lift just as it was 2 hours before, with no tires. Another associate told me that the tires were going on now and that it would not be much longer. An hour later, my car comes of the lift and parked on the side of the store and that I would have to wait a while longer on the alignment. Why not begin the work 2 hours ago? Why give me a time frame and when that time comes around the car looks the same it did hours ago? The sorry, its been busy, the tires are on now, it just needs the alignment, if you dont want to wait, you can take the car now response does not cut it. Yeah, youve been busy, just not on my car. Truthful communication is the best service you can give your customers. If the response was something in the line of we had to pull your mechanic to assist another, sorry for the inconvenience. Ill see what I can do, that would be somewhat more acceptable. No matter how frustrating it can be. I will not be returning to your establishment nor recommending it.
I made a reservation for 10:00, dropped my car off at 9:45 tge gentle sd it would be 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours. At 12 I called to check on the status and they hadnt even started. I WAITED FOUR HOURS to get 2 new tires... The man on phone told me, there were cars in front of me, its first come, first serve - REALLY? What is the point of a reservation then. And people who came in after me were finished and left - So he lied! I wont be back here.
Professional staff. Got me in last minute, even though next appointment wasnt until Thursday. A little wait, but less than the 2 days for next available appointment. Will definitely return for any future needs.

Literally the slowest service ever. I came in for an inspection and was told on the phone that I would be in and out within an hour. There were no customers ahead of me when I came. Ended up waiting 5 hrs and nothing was done and was forced to leave. Avoid this place.
I got here with a flat and the tire was unfortunately not able to be patched but they have me a new tire and worked on my car right away so I can make it to work on time, rasheem, greg micheal were fantastic and i appreciate their hard work.

Went in yesterday morning because front passenger side brakes were making a grinding noise. Got upsold by salesman and quoted nearly $1300 for three calipers, two rotors and brake pads, power steering flush, and brake fluid flush.I had just gotten all new brake pads and rotors, and all new power steering components including pump, hoses, reservoir tank, and flush about six months ago. I paid an independent mechanic $80 for labor to replace all pads and rotors and $90 for parts totaling $170.Was told the power steering flush and brake fluid flush would be free but I was charged for them. I told them to do the power steering fluid flush only if the fluid used is genuine Honda power steering fluid. I was reassured that they only use genuine fluids. They had a bottle of after market power steering fluid on the counter when I arrived to pick up vehicle. Received a call 2 hours later telling me vehicle is ready to be picked up. Nearly $1300 for a 2 hour service is a lot of money. Ended up showing a brake coupon and paying $1201.90. Also was told the newly installed brake parts are made by Wagner and are OEM parts. Wagner parts appear to be aftermarket and require significantly more pressure on the pedal to stop the vehicle. Finally, the brakes perform horribly with even worse stopping power than before.

My husband went to do a wheel Alignment that should take less then an hour and they made him wait over 2 hours with the car still outside in the lot this location has nothing but lazy/rude workers Im surprised they are still open honestly. Then they have the audacity to have an attitude for no reason like they hate the job or just hate the people and its not just us it has happened to but so many other people as well. Its a shame every other mavis location takes pride in the work they do.

It’s an amazing store! My back tire got a screw and I was so panicked. I took my car here and it was almost the time for them to get off from work. But they helped me patiently and solved my problem quickly. I really appreciate their help. The service is excellent and the price is unbeatable.

My husband and I went today because we needed a wheel alignment. The guy who helped us in the front named Greg helped us and doubled our coupon due to a misunderstanding that we had a few days prior due to somebody from the call center. Very knowledgeable and apologetic, will definitely go there again.
If I could give it no stars I would. Made an appointment to have 4 tires put on. Showed up at my appointment time to be told that they do not accept appointments made through the corporate website. Then told that the wait would be 5 hours. I live close so decided that I would take place In line and wait. The person who is tending the front desk disappears for a few minute to the back and returns with more aggravating news, They do not have the tire size I reserved on my appointment and won’t be getting them for the next few days. Stay way from this place at all cost. It’s run by incompetent idiots to say the least.
