My Rheem hot water heater from Home Depot broke down due to flooding, thankfully (or so I thought) it was under warranty. Rheem sent over a third-party repair man; I am not sure if it was because he did not want to work, my close quarters/messy basement was unfavorable to him, or a mixture of both, but he told me there was nothing he could do for my hot water heater and left. Thankfully, I gave Jay a call. Jay is a great guy, he was friendly, on time, more than eager to help me, and KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. He got my hot water heater running in less than an hour! I am thinking of replacing my hot water heater, and when I do, I will not be purchasing one from Home Depot again, I will go through Jay.

I recently updated my heating system at my property in Yonkers and I thought I could call it a day with it it for some time. Not so easy... The communication between my boiler and my thermostat was not so seamless and I also had a problem with my boiler not shutting off while my red light (low water alert) blinking. Several different plumbers identified and seemingly solved the problem with not much luck. After a desperate search in the area I decided to find someone else (4th time this year) to service my boiler based on customer reviews. I found Jay’s Heating and Air and called them than we quickly set up an appointment. They arrived half an our EARLY and were patiently waiting for me to arrive. They also had difficulties to solve the problems mentioned above but when they hit a dead end they didn’t give up nor pretended that the job was done. They called the manufacturer of the boiler and waited patiently an hour outside until somebody responded! They were going through every possible scenario with a tech rep until they figured it out what was the problem. They charged very reasonably and also provided some free, rough estimates to some other projects we will do in the future. I will definitely stick with these guys for my HVAC issues/updates/repairs.

Had my Central Air installed. Clean work done by his team in middle of June. It feels so much better than having window units. Unit is running efficient and with being 90 degrees yesterday inside was really comfortable. Will definitely call Jays Heating for additional services if needed.

Jay was very professional and honest person that I have ever hired for a HVAC system. My house was 4500 sqft and my heating and AC bill was close to $7500 a year. After I hired Jay and installed a Hybrid heating system GEO thermal, Solar thermal and High efficient boiler. My bill went down to 80% which seems to be impossible but after I received my first bill after Jay replaced my old equipment it was $125. After I got this done I was able get a tax rebate of 60% of federal tax. Trust me I know this might be hard to believe but Jays Heating and Air saved me thousands a year.

We contacted Jay Heating and Air after having issues with our electric boiler for a year. We found that the proper wiring was not installed and burned out. Jay took the time to educate us on the proper wiring we needed to resolve the issue, showing true concern for our safety. Once the wiring was resolved by a professional electrician, Jay and his team came back to hook up our boiler, providing us with heat again as we approach another winter. He gave great advise on how we can save on energy costs, as well. He was always on time and made himself available to answer all my questions and concerns by phone and in person —before receiving any payment. Even the charge was affordable, given all the advise and trips he made to the house to troubleshoot and make sure everything was in working order. He and his team displayed such amazing professionalism and thoroughness that I would recommend Jay heating and Air to my own friends and family, knowing they will be in great hands.

Jay’s heating and Air is the way to go! We used Jay for a boiler failure issue after the ConEd lines went down on our street due to a very large tree bringing down the lines during a heavy rainfall. This led to a surge in our electrical and left us without a working boiler and no hot water. Jay saved the day. One phone call and in less than 1 hour he showed up. He was very professional. He checked it out, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed the same day! After this incident, he have only referred Jays heating and Air to our close family and friends!

Jay loveem I give him 5 because he came over and installed a solar thermal heating system in my house 3 years ago. Ever since Ive cut down my gas bill by 80%; good investment it has already paid itself off. He delivered as promise. I recommend this system for everybody. One thing I like about him is that he knows what hes talking about!

I want to start this review off by saying that the only reason I am giving Jay s Heating & Air a 1 star rating is because I would not have been able to post this review with a 0 rating.I called this company on Wednesday as I had an issue with my gas furnace turning off before it reaches the programmed setting on my thermostat. Jay made a house call on Wednesday and, according to him, he increased the speed on my furnace. The furnace worked well for ONE day and is not working properly at all now. For this quick visit he charged me $150.00 and didnt even provide me with an invoice! I have repeatedly asked him to provide me with an invoice and, as of yet, the invoice has not been provided to me.Today (2 days later) I woke up to the same problem in my house (thermostat set high and inside temperature reading low). I called Jay again and he came to my house and told me that I may be having a problem with my High Temperature Limit Control. I asked him how much that would cost and he quoted me $75.00! I initially told him to do the work. However, after he left, I did some research on the cost of the High Temperature Limit Control using the model number of my furnace. To my surprise, the most expensive Limit Control that I could find was no more than $25.00. I immediately called Jay and questioned him about this price markup and he told me that he has to make something on the Limit Control. I can certainly understand a slight markup, but almost $50.00!!I had another company come in today to service my furnace and, what a coincidence, after my furnace was looked at by Jay on Wednesday my blower motor seized today! I now sit here and wonder if the work that Jay supposedly performed on my furnace on Wednesday contributed to my furnace blower motor seizing! The company that ultimately wound up doing the work gave me a warranty on parts and labor. Again, not only did Jay NOT give me an invoice, but he didnt even guarantee/warranty his work!!Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone and have already thrown away his business card!The bottom line is that Jay charged me $150.00 and did not resolve the problem!

After a recommendation from a good friend of mine,I called Jays after my boiler decided to quit on me after more than 25yrs of service.He came the same day that I called him,and explained in detail everything that he would do and that I needed to do.He didnt rush us or push to get the job and even encouraged us to get other estimates.His quoted price was more than fair,and they came in and did an excellent job removing the existing boiler and putting in the new.His crew was more than knowledgeable and professional.We highly recommend him and will definetely use his services in the future.

Be warned this guy is a scammer, he came to my business to fix with the heat not working and he literally did nothing but read the systems manual and told me that whoever installed it didnt do it right and itll cost me almost 2 grand. This guy is out of his mind and is taking advantage, the system was brand new and only 2 years old. I just told him to do what he can now to keep it running and he did nothing and charged me $150 just for showing up and was rude about it when I told him but he didnt even fix the problem he came in for!Dont even let this guy no where near your home or business, dont say I didnt warn you!
