I ordered new tires and wheels for my son from TireRack.com and had them shipped to the Pep Boys in Wylie, TX. My son called and made the appointment to have his new wheels and tires installed. The staff at this location took advantage of him and severely overbilled him for the services rendered. When I called to talk to them about it, they were not willing to do anything about the issue.When ordering the tires and wheels from TireRack I selected not to have the tires mounted and balanced since the tire pressure sensors had to be removed from his existing wheels and placed on the new ones. This required the tire technician to only break the bead on the outside of the old wheels and remove the sensors. They then had to install them on the new wheels, mount and balance the new tires on the new wheels, and install them on the car. I would have been ok with a small charge to move the sensors to the new wheels, but they charged him twice for mount and balance (once on the new tires and once on the old ones). They also charged him quantity eight for a tire handling fee, yet they never disposed of any tires. The old tires were never even removed from the wheels as the bead on the back of the tire was never broke. They didnt even complete the mount and balance they charged him for on the old tires as the bead on the front was never reset, the valve stems are still missing from the valves, and there are no new wheel weights on the wheels.I have a severe issue with a business taking advantage of anyone by charging for services they did not render. I will not be back to this place of business and caution anyone else from using them.
I had appointment at 4pm, arrived earlier then that and first thing guy ask me if i am dropping off because he is only one working. I have purhcase lifetime alignment from pepboys, everytime i ask them to do it they say its fine i dont need it. Last time i was here the guy told me to do it on next appointment. I drive about 20 miles to get this service done and thats the answer i get each time.
We took my son’s Honda in and they could have charged us a lot of money and fixed it. Instead they reminded us it was still under warranty and to go to the dealer. I really appreciate the honesty and will comeBack in the future when we need something done.
Amazing staff and amazing work. I came upset due to another company’s inability to fix what I made an appointment for and wait 4 hours. I came to Pep Boys in Wylie and staff was understand and helpful. Jose kept me updated, informed me with prices, and I was only waiting for 30 minutes. Was in there not even 2 minutes and was asked to either drop off my vehicle or reschedule. I made an appointment for 4pm, you guys could have called. What seemed like the manager was very unprofessional and rude. So I just told them to cancel and left disappointed. I travel all over the country and this is the first pep boys that I have left a bad review for. If you dislike your job, then quit it. Never coming back to this location.
Brought a lifetime alignment from them. When I went back for the second alignment they did not want to fix my car. They did not verified or print the alignment report and just told me my alignment was fine instead. I went to a different pep boys store where they fix the car alignment and printed the report. They seem fine when they sold the free alignment service for $150 but showed they true faces when I went for the free service the next time.

This is the best Pep Boys shop Ive ever visited! Im travelling from out of state and my truck horn stopped working and then my battery died. The manager and mechanics were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The battery was replaced promptly at a fair price and they didnt charge me for reconnecting the horn. I appreciate their honesty and excellent service!
I’ve been coming to this location since it was Just Brakes because I absolutely love the people working there and they always do a wonderful job. Jason is so helpful and I love knowing I can trust him to not screw me over like a lot of other mechanics do out there. Also, thank you Gerald for always keeping me posted with updates and greeting me with a smile. Y’all are wonderful. Keep up the good work.

Not a good ecpiernce. Parts were in. The repair was supposed to be done at 10:30 am. No calls from repair shop. Called them from 11 am to, 12:15, no one answered the phone. Drove back to the shop to get status, ready in a few minutes .Finally got a call at 4 pm. That it was ready. Then found out that they dont take checks. Wanted to pay with credit card check, 0 interest, but they wouldnt accept it. Paid with a credit card. Chase had nothing to add. Poor service, follow up and wasted half of my plans for my Sunday.
Had a good experience today with oil change. First one on my car. Chase and Nick did a very quick and easy job. Was a very slow evening, so very thankful for that as well.
Have known the team at this location for years. They have always proven to be honest and will work with you. Gerald is great and will educate you on what ever may be wrong on your car. Bam is an amazing tech and can fix just about anything. Micheal and Todd are super nice and over all the whole team are the only ones I will allow to look at my vehicle.
PLZ DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!THE TECHNICIAN FORGOT TO PUT THE LUGNUTS ON THE WHEEL AND THE WHEEL CAME OFF WHILE I DROVE A FEW YARDS AWAY FROM THE LOT. THE TECHNICIAN HIMSELF ADMITTED AND APOLOGIZED BUT THE MANAGEMENT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND DENIES THE DAMAGE CAUSED TO THE REAR BUMPER.IM FILING A CASE AGAINST THEM.BEWARE OF THESE FOLKS THEY ARE TERRIBLE!

Gabby at the front was awesome! Best customer service. From the time we called to check availability till we walked out the door. She made sure we were taken 100% care of and made everything so convenient for us. They saved our rotors, fixed ours brakes, and informed and showed us some wear and tear that will need to be addressed in the future soon but absolutely did not push us so that they could make an extra buck. They were the best! Hands down! We will be back and will be telling everyone how awesome they are!
First time using them. The girl in the front desk was very helpful and nice. We got our car serviced and while doing so we decided to go to the store. She politely called us and said we needed an air filter if is was okay to go ahead an install. We loved that she called before hand and not surprised us with the bill later. We will be returning when our service is due.
Very impressed. Made appointment late yesterday and got in next day. Service person very helpful and answered questions and concerns. Was willing to show me parts that need replacement. Also great they have military discount to help on cost. They did take longer to repair than stated when brought in but service and price made up for that. Will return.
I was given misinformation and they tried to taken advantage of me. I was told that my automaker required me to spend about $700 for a part, but they were giving me a deal and they would only charge me $450 + labor. I went to another place they said the I only needed a small part and it could be purchased and the whole service would be $168.00. I am very unsatisfied and will never go there or recommend this place to anyone.
The customer service here is amazing! I had a bad experience at the Addison location off Midway and I am so happy I decided to come here. Fritz took care of me like I was family ! Highly recommend.

Thanks for all star treatment. I went in after a different estimate from another servicer and was shown that those issues did not exist. The new manager is a keeper! He will give you accurate info and a fair deal. Just Brakes is definitely cheaper than anywhere else.
Left my car here and it got vandalized. They parked my car and said they didn’t want to look at it bc the latch to pop the hood was broke. 1. It wasn’t broke until I took it to them. 2. This is a mechanic shop. Can you not get a hoodOpen?!?! so they just parked my car and let it sit there. $200 later I had to get my car towed somewhere else. Waste of time and money. NO THANK U!
This location needs to be audited! They dont know what theyre doing, not for major work and they talk a good game and will tell you a repair is needed that really isnt. The dealer discovered repairs said to be done was not or the work was not done right. If I could give -10 stars I would. Find another place where the techs are actual techs and not just nice people that will change your oil.

I just had a rear realignment. Took about 30 minutes and cost $50. The men were helpful to me and said I should probably fix my a/c belt too, but didnt try to up sell me or anything.Four stars because they didnt tell me how long the diagnosis was going to take, and I though the price was a little much. Other than it was good. (Even had lots of free coffee.)
The staff is knowledgeable and seem to bend over backwards to assist customers. Ive noticed it isnt listed but this location DOES NOT do state inspections. They also DO NOT sell used tires.
Went in for a battery change, the man at the front desk checked it and saved me $130 by telling me that my battery was in fine condition, but that I needed to drive longer to charge the battery or charge it at home. Very pleasant experience.

Brought my w124 benz in and they balanced the tires, found a rim out of round and advised replacement, i replsced the rims and the car is perfect! Worked out nicely.Just brought our sequoia in for timing belt and they were super quick, very communicative and nice as always. Joe and Fritz at customer desk are good craic to talk to and a wealth of information! Top class!
Seems the brake job was over charged, end up doing myself and save hundreds of dollars.
Lied about the state of my pads and rotors when they supposedly replaced both eight months earlier. Went to another shop to find out the rotors were brand new but pads were never replaced. Just Brakes wanted $850 when I paid $150 for new pads elsewhere. Still good 5 months later. Dont get scammed!
New manager there not great at communicating. Had bought a battery there a month ago and had a problem with it. It wasnt your typical battery install as it was on my BMW. So couldnt just put the battery on myself, so it took software and so forth. He ordered me a new battery and said that he would have someone come and install it in my car the next day. Whenever called and I went to go check if the battery been received and it was just given to me. And it wasnt even the same type of battery that I originally had lower quality and picked up some took it home. It too was dead bad battery. So after a week of trying to deal with this going back and forth trying to get a battery. He finally brought a new battery to my house which is nice. But again no installation and even when it was put in by myself car wouldnt work because there was no software to register the battery to my car. Which on the original battery they put the wrong software on my car and messed up my car. Which is now in the shop with a fried motherboard.The saddest part, I had originally had good service before this manager got there. Took 2 weeks to even get the correct battery I hope. But because of original incorrect install my BMW brain is fried and wiring connections to battery broken and pulled loose from battery circuit board.
We called ahead to see if they could check the brakes and the manager Fritz said sure come in and well have out in 10 minutes. We pulled up and went in the office to turn in our keys and Fritz says without even checking the car, I dont want to waste time... if your bmw has a brake sensor on it you need to go back to the person that changed your pads. He could have told us that over the phone. He was so dismissive and impolite I should have gone elsewhere. 👎🏽
Jason is the only person I trust to work on any of the vehicles I have. The guys there tell you what you need to do and what you can wait on. Great service here.

Got me in and out for my company van oil change very quickly.
Took my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 in for brakes and, while we were looking at the brakes I discovered an upper control arm bushing that was shot. We also found an outer tie rod that was bad. The guys took care of it and even worked with me on the price to help me out with the unexpected expense. I normally do my own brakes and can even change tie rods, but a recent surgery was preventing me from doing it myself, so I didnt have a choice but to take it somewhere. Glad I chose Just Brakes! Really great service and really nice guys. I cant speak highly enough of them.
Great staff....work is always great, Ive never had to return due to improper install on brakes or pads. Theyve have done work on my Infiniti and Lexus. When it comes to brakes, this is the place to go. Great job Jason & Gerald.
Had a 11 a.m. appointment to get new brakes on the company truck and it took 2½ hrs before letting me know my truck wasnt even in the shop yet. Another 2 hours go by, I ask if its about done. Joe (the man at the desk) says oh we got it in there shouldnt be long the mechanic is already working on the front. I am frustraded but Say ok and remind them I left my number before I left and give me a call if anything happens or truck is finished.. it was 5 p.m. and I had to call yet again, this time Joe tells me oh well the brakes are shot but rotars are salvageable and paused.. like hes waiting for a response.. I say Joe watever u gotta do, do it. He say ok good we will get that started. !!!!WOW!!! I was a scheduled appointment, gave all the info about the truck and what needed work.. gave my number and still u have no clue? And when I just called them again he said they had to wait on the brakes cause they didnt have them in stock.. why would u not call me and let me know instead of waiting on me to call. Was supposed to be a simple scheduled brake change. Yet goin on 6+ hour ordeal. Unbelievable!
They need to learn what customer service is. Rude I will never return to any pep boys I went down the street to discount tire. Where I bought 4new tires.
First time attempting to use Pep Boys to install tires. Ordered, website indicated they were in stock now, I schedule appointment for the next day. On my way to the appointment, got a call saying they didnt have tires. If there site says they have them in stock they should have them in stock. Was not offered another tire at the same promotion price. Wont be using them again. Thanks.
NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!THIS PLACE IS A RIP-OFF. SERVICE MANAGER IS THE WORST EVER!!!! MY CAR WAS OVERHEATING, TOOK IT IN, PAID WAY TOO MUCH FOR REPAIRS (OVER 900.00) AND NOW MY CAR IS IN WORSE CONDITION THAN BEFORE. THEY PERFORMED A LOT OF NEEDLESS WORK THAT DID NOT FIX THE OVERHEATING PROBLEM. I TOOK VEHICLE BACK IN AND ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WAS MIS-DIAGNOSED. THE SERVICE MANAGER WANTED TO CHARGE ANOTHER INSANE AMOUNT (600.00) FOR PROPER REPAIRS!!! SERVICE MANAGER IS THE WORST EVER!!! HE WAS NICE UNTIL I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR BACK IN AND HIS ATTITUDE COMPLETELY CHANGED. HE WAS RUDE AND DEFENSIVE. I DID NOT ALLOW ANY ADDITIONAL REPAIRS. I HAVE REPORTED THIS LOCATION TO THEIR REGIONAL MANAGER AND IM REPORTING THEM AS FAR UP AS I CAN.AFTER RESEARCHING I FOUND OUT IF PEP BOYS EMPLOYEES DONT SELL REPAIRS (PARTS AND LABOR) THEY DONT GET PAID. THEY RECEIVE THEIR PAYCHECKS BASED SOLELY ON WORK THEY PREFORM. THE MORE PARTS AND LABOR THEY SELL, THE MORE THEY GET PAID!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, MONEY AND MISERY AND DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!
Made an appointment the day before for an alignment. Got there on time and was kept waiting for 45 mins while all the while my keys just sat there on thecounter. Needless to say I was pretty upset for having to wait so long..so I just grabbed my keys out of the pouch and walked out. I will never go backto them again. Not sure why I made an appointment if I was treated like a walk in. If you have a life and your time is precious then dont go there. However...if you dont mind wasting your time go ahead. Ridiculous!!!!!
I had my brakes done and year later I wanted them to check on my brakes again because they were squeaking, they gave me no issues about my warranty and checked everything for me and now my brakes work great. The service was fast and satisfactory.
I am typing this review as i sit and my patience grows thinner. Came in on 1/26/19 for 2 tires and alignment. The tires needed to be ordered which is undersantable. So i made an apointment for 9am today the 27th. I show up at 9am ontime. As usual with this place the mechanics and techs are late. Unprofessional to say the least. My car finally gets rolled in at 10:30 am to have the new tires put on. At NOON it gets rolled to another bay for the alignment. What kind of circus show is this business running. Not once as of noon have i been given any updates from Rusty or a sorry this is taking so long. Bottom line is this place could care less about its customers or the people of Wylie. Stay away from this place as i plan on doing going forward. Apointments mean squat to this place. My car was finally done around 12:30! 3.5 hours of sitting for 2 tires and alignment.
Booked an oil change online for $19.99, came to store, they would not honor that price.Talked to manager and national customer services. Neither would rectify the issue.Below added comments on 3/23 ---I called and emailed Pepboys customer service 2 weeks ago. Still no response. Their comments below are completely disingenuous.

I ordered tires online, received a confirmation email for tires and appointment. When I showed up 6 days later for my scheduled appointment, they did not have my tires. They said they would get them shipped from ft worth the same day and give me a call. I did not hear from them. I called Sunday AM, they said the tires did not arrive on Saturday, but they should have them Monday. I told them to cancel the order and went to a competitor. Poor customer service.
The front desk is very friendly but boy, these guys are outrageously expensive! For an oil change in a Toyota Corolla, they quoted $80.

Charged me for synthetic oil and filter but didnt replace anything. 3 months later I checked to do my own oil change and the previously installed genuine Toyota filter from dealer was still there and even the oil was so dirty that I doubt that even that was replaced. I also called to confirm that there is no way they can get original dealer provided oil filters. Cheats! Not going back again ever! Looks like others got scammed around same time around November 2015.
First time visiting the store .But very bad experience from the person called big joe!Came for Tesla tire change he made fun of the Tesla and giving very bad attitude!!!Shouldn’t hire people like this to the front desk!!
Brakes went out in my van and i took it to just brakes. The guys working there were very helpfull showing me exactly what was wrong with my brakes and how they were going to fix them. Dropped the van of in the morning and it was ready that afternoon. I paid by cc over the phone and picked it up the next day. a month later they even called to make sure everything was still ok. Great customer service and great job done! i will use them from now on.

One of the biggest scams in Wylie!!! My fiance took our truck here because our family mechanic was out of town. They pulled him in with their free estimate and proceeded to up-sell him in every possible way. Not only did they try to charge him $400 dollars for his supposed problem, they also LIED about what was wrong with the truck. I wouldnt suggest this place to my worst enemy. Most of the high reviews even mention how they found so many hidden problems which I translate to more money. When the mechanics saw that we were backing out they dropped the price $100, offered a credit card with no interest and eventually walked off on us. Turns out we were about to pay $400 for a $10 dollar problem. NEVER GO HERE.

If I could give zero start I would !This is the worst place ever can take care of your car .They always have very high prices, Poor customer service, workers are negligent .is a place you cant trust .The last time that I did oil change they forgot to put the engine lid back in, I drove my car about 3 miles away and I realized after a while my car is burning, there was smoke coming out of the hood .This was really scary because I was carrying my kids with me .Oil was shooting out of the engine and covered the whole area around .when i went back to them they dont really pay attention .

Site says they do state inspection but when I went there was told we dont do inspection, might need to update your site.
