The best staff. Auction Ohio staff goes the extra 50 miles for their customers. Unbelievable, how well they give in every corner from service to sales. I can’t rate this company high enough. Thank you!
This service has gotten better and better. Especially convenient are full day pick ups at their warehouse. The on site pickups are markedly better since advanced electronic payment was instituted as it speeds pick ups significantly most of the time. Occasionally on site auction managers don’t staff well and there are delays and sometimes the pictures and descriptions are inadequate which is why I can’t yet give 5 stars.
The staff is always friendly and top notch. Really like that they have so many auctions and affiliates to whom you can choose from to bid on items. I have come across many fantastic items, The only thing I wish was different would be better pick up times. 2 hrs at random times of the day make it difficult to bid on so many great auctions.
Online shopping at the highest level. I have found some really great deals and items. If you love yard selling check them out. Bidding what you want for items. The staff is friendly and do a great job.
Love this Website. I have found everyone especially at the Worthington facility to be very friendly and accommodating.
Over two or three auctions I got some wonderful coffee table books for next to nothing.
I purchased a home that was to be removed from a property. I went to the home for a friend and met with Brian Hall onsite. During the walkthrough we asked several questions and Brian had all the answers. Biggest mistake I made was believing him telling me that the home could be moved and they had a moving company that had Inspected the place to move 53 miles and they could do it with no problems he also told us the cost of that move but it was just a little bit more than they wanted to spend for the lot and improvements needed at the time. Well I only wanted to move the home 5 miles just down 2 roads so my mistake but I took him for his word that the home could be picked up. Also during the conversation with Brian Hall I asked about all of the trash and debris that would be created and he told me, if you move the home move the home or take whatever you want and leave the rest because if the home doesnt sell they are tearing it down anyway. So huge mistakes on my end.1. I believed Brian Halls story about moving the home because he answered all my questions and he sounded like he really had talked to someone.2. I also believe that I wasnt responsible for any trash removal was stated by Mr. HALL ...wrong.After finding out that the home couldnt be moved by several companies when I confronted Brian Hall on the phone he said well someone else had told him all of that and he was very surprised by the fact it couldnt be moved and quickly backpedaled on the matter. Ad for all the trash and debris from dismantling the house he had replied ...Good morning we do not have supply dumpsters nor do we provide debris clean up for winning bidders. Any arrangements you have or had with the seller is an arrangement between the 2 of you.Now all contact and conversations before during and after the sale are with Auction Ohio and once they receive their large check from you they dont care about anything.Basically do your homework before any purchases from this company and ask to speak with the sellers.
Ive been dealing with them for a long time a good place friendly people
This the new way of buying and selling at auction very smooth process and good people
Lots of online auctions with a wide variety of household and industrial items. Can grab a bargain, but be cautious and carefully review descriptions and photos to ensure you understand what you are bidding on. They are affiliated with Zipperbuy.com who auctions off Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot and other retail returns and overstocks.
Love this auction. I usually buy something every week.
First time going, had a car in front of me I just followed back to the docks. They seem very organized, and on top of everything. Once they got my info w/in a couple of mins brought my items up, all put into a box. I had a lot of glass, so I shoved some newspaper in it. I was definitely in and out quickly.
Auction Ohio was very beneficial to me in selling furniture, framed art and other household items quickly and efficiently upon selling my house. Paula Moulton met me at my house to sign the contract and she was very nice and always responsive when I called her several times for any questions even when she was out of town. Brian Hall of Modern Antique was very nice and accommodating. He came to take pictures of my household items and even removed the framed art and posters from the wall. Even if Auction Ohio took out 45% of the proceeds of the sale, it was still worthwhile because they auctioned it off to thousands of people. Brian designated a 2 hour window for customers to pick up their purchased items. It was hassle free for me and gave me time to attend to other details of the closing of my house. Also, I made some money instead of having to pay the Junk people to remove those items from my house or to call Salvation Army who only has designated days for pick up. Auction Ohio really streamlined the process of removing excess stuff from my house and I highly recommend them. I will definitely use them again on my next move. Judy J.
Many good deals to be had.
The people who work at the warehouse are always extremely rude. Either that or they are all mute.
I was overwhelmed by what to do with a large number of antiques left to me by my grandmother. I kept a few pieces that meant something to me, but didnt have the space or desire to keep their whole collection. I was not having any luck finding someone who would help me sell the items. Auction Ohio responded to me quickly and made the process extremely easy. They took good care of the items and listed accurate descriptions. They sent me a link to follow along with the online auction which I enjoyed. They were very professional and respectful which I know my grandmother would have appreciated. I would highly recommend them.
Good service and good people
Brian and Kim were awesome to work with to get our online auction started. We had never been involved with an auction before and they were great to explain the process. They did a great job displaying our auction property. We have a fantastic outcome with a majority of our items sold to new owners.
First time picking up at this location and it was very easy to find and the whole process was quick and easy. Got some great deals!
Auction Ohio promises to provide the easiest solution for you to sell your personal property. I can honestly say that that is exactly what they did for us! David and Dale are trustworthy, dedicated, and funny as well. They are true professionals that provide, above all else, peace of mind that everything will be taken care of, with much attention to detail, so that you can expect to get the most for your items. The communication, from day one, has been more than I expected. From Brian Davis, to our team of David and Dale, there were many calls and texts to check in to see how everything was going and if we were pleased. I was also impressed with the Inventory Statement that they provided when the auction was over. All Lots are numbered, along with the specific details for each item, and what the items sold for. David did an amazing job writing descriptions for the items, and would even research certain items to get more information to help the items sell. Auction Ohio came highly recommended, and they did not disappoint! When they tell you to, “relax, and let us do the rest”, you can be sure that that is exactly what will take place. We feel blessed to have worked with such a knowledgeable and trustworthy team of professionals.
This place is ran by a bunch of crooks,. Ive bid on 5to6 items and managed to keep the price low. As soon as I would have been the winner. The timer reset and added more days and hours. Ive been buying from auctions for over 30 years and have never had anyone change the sale date like that. TOTAL RIP OFF.
Most professional auction pick up location in Columbus. Auction Ohio seller auctions open all day 10-6 not 2 hour window like other places. Employees are friendly and thorough.
Auction Ohio was very professional. They explained in clear terms what would happen, how it would be done and what the charges would be. Their organization was outstanding and the people working with them were great. I would recommend them to anyone thinking about selling items via an auction
I have had a great experience working with AuctionOhio. All their workers go above and beyond helping their customers. Very well run company
Very customer friendly. Easy to deal with. They make it easy to bid and see the items.
Great experience. We sold our house right in the middle of the first wave of coronavirus, and Taylor and her team did a great job with efficient cataloguing of sale items and then dealt with a tight driveway on pick-up day. Beyond the logistics, they did a little more research on a couple of items that proved beneficial to final sales price. Professional and highly recommended!
Especially nice during a pandemic to be able to shop for vintage items safely from home. The interface worked well and it was exciting to win!
This is the best auction house out there. If you have anything you need to sell, bring it here and they will take care of everything for you.
The experience has been great, everyone has been professional and friendly. Any problem I have had has been remedied expeditiously .
Auction Ohio was great! They Cataloged all my fathers trains and miscellaneous items. The auction went smoothly and professionally. I would recommend auction Ohio.
I contacted Brian from Auction Ohio to help us clear out my mothers house and barns. He was very courteous and explained everything very clearly to my mom. He also was understanding and patient, which was nice because this was a heartbreaking decision for her. By the end of the process, Brian, as well as Joe and his team from Lights, Camera, Auction! managed through it all wonderfully. Mom enjoyed the people from Auction Ohio and in the end, was pleased with the results. Using their services is a terrific solution to clearing out a lifetime of accumulated stuff. We plan to use them for Round 2.p.s. Ive been a bidder on many items from Auction Ohio and have never had a bad experience.
Great people. Great deals if you are patient and pay attention.
I bought an office chair from Taylor and Kyle to prepare for the upcoming quarantine. I must say that this chair was absolutely perfect. First, it is the ideal size for my desk so when I do my classes online starting next week it will be used a lot. My only concern is that the chair is so comfortable I worry about staying awake in it during classes. While I would love to give this review a 5 out of 5 I learned from a man much wiser than I at a young age to never do that because no one is perfect. I am defying him though and leaving a 5 because this chair is that amazing. I am sitting in the chair writing this so goodnight.
My experience with David and Dale was a very positive one. I had my first online auction this past August and everything went just as planned. First of all, they are both very kind people, which is hard to find sometimes. They actually cared about me and what was going on in my life and why I was having an online auction. They understand that although I wanted the auction and wanted to purge and clean out somethings, it was still a very emotional time and venture for me and my children. David is the kind of care who asks how you are, he started every conversation about me and how I was doing. I did not feel that I was just another job or a number in his business. I would highly recommend David to anyone and in fact I have recommended him to friends and family already. The next time I need help I will call David and Dale again. They truly are the best.
Auction Ohio is a very good place to bid on items. They always give a good description of the items and the staff takes great photos of the items for sale. They keep you updated if you are outbid on an item you are trying to buy. The payment process is painless. and the staff at the pickup sites get the items you purchased for you and get you on your way quickly.
All great people to deal with ...the worthington guys are the best !
Seems will coordinated
I had a really stressful experience with this place. .Getting straight answerstook Days.. where is there a smooth communicative auction house ?
Quick and efficient check out.
Very professional process from start to finish. They were clear about how the process worked, what should be expected and how the fees worked. They handled everything in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them.
Great company for your auction needs. Chris & Brian Davis as well as entire staff are professional, knowledgeable, with great service.
My needs were satisfied very well.
After purchasing several items from auction Ohio, I’ve found it to be an excellent source for quality items. Recently I purchased several household items from a Lights, Camera, Auction sale. What a great experience. The pictures and descriptions of all of my items were accurate, I was highly satisfied with all of my items. I was even credited for a set of speakers because somewhere a long the days pick ups one of the speakers was knocked over and slightly damaged one of the corners, I personally didn’t even notice it. It was pointed out by one of the Lights, Camera, Auction guys. He informed me that the cost was being credited back to me but the speakers were mine to take. The damage was very minor and had no effect on the the working order of the speaker.Everyone I had any contact with during pick up was very pleasant and helpful. Even gave me a hand loading a large dining table into my truck.
I find that I can often find quality items, readily, that I want or need at a reduced cost, as long as Im willing and able to pick up. The downside is living outside of the areas that are most frequently associated with the auctions. So, I have to consider the time and cost of ownership, being cost of gas to travel for the item, as well as the items cost. However, it is worth checking on a frequent basis.
The description of my pallet of items said a few were damaged but most in great condition. Every.Single.One of the items had a broken edge, a crack, a part of the rim missing, two were bowed from heat or ???. I left nearly a third of them there because they were trash. I drove 75 miles each way for something that not only wasnt the bargain I had expected, but a significant portion of the items were left behind because they were unusable. If the photos are blurry, or only one to show the item, my recommendation is that you pass on purchasing it.
Boy - I cant say enough about the service and commitment to customer service. I would give them six stars out of five.We downsized from our house, met Brian over the dinning room tableand that was pretty much the last thing I had to do. There team kept meup to date with the details of the auction - when it was over a check wassent me.Set it and forget it.
Got my purchases but direction signs lacking to find dock location in back.
Great respectful people to do business with every time. Fun people and delightful experiences. Very honest and cheerful and you never know what fun items you will find! Have dealt with company about 20+ years.
Chris Davis is as honest as the day is long. Ive met very few individuals that I respect as much. This extends into his entire organization as people love to work with him as his example.
We had a great experience with Lights Camera Auction!!! Highly recommend these awesome people!!! They hustled and they bustled with smiles throughout our auction. Made it so pleasant for the horrible situation it was for us. Thank you so very much for all you did, Joe Courtney & Jessie! 🥰🙏
On 2/27/19 I went to pick up my auction wins only to find that the auctioneers werent there. They arrived ten minutes after the designated start time saying, Sorry, Sorry! But dont worry, were all ready! That turned out not to be true. While she went in to open up the garage (including getting tables out of their SUV and setting those up), he proceeded to get the rest of the things out of their vehicle. Unfortunately, he dropped not only the first box (filled with paper bags of auction items), but the second box (filled with sheets of printed paper), and then the third! Three men assisted in carrying things from the vehicle to the garage and helping them set things up. Unfortunately, after that the man just stood around talking to people and showing them his antique gun that he was putting up for sale. Although he said it wasnt loaded, the way that he was handling it (including literally waving it around in the air!) made several of us uncomfortable. She continued to do all of the work, and thus it took over a half hour to get my items. Ive been an active bidder up until this point, but have decided to take my business elsewhere.
I had AO take care of moving my items for me to a proper location for my items to be auctioned. Be sure you know all the questions to ask if you chose to have your items moved. I was surprised when I received the trucking bill costs. I brought up my concerns with the salesperson because I wasnt informed of all the costs involved and I was taken care of in a satisfactory manner. When I had more questions and raised other concerns at a later time with the same salesperson, I felt I was handled curtly with condescension. The positive is the movers worked diligently, quickly and were friendly. The movers communicated with me in a satisfactory manner when I had questions. All of my items sold.
Great service..would recommend to anyone.
I love Auction Ohio! No other auction sites compare. I purchased once from other auction site and the whole event was awful. Auction Ohio photos are of the actual items up for auction. I bid nowhere else. Great honesty from the affiliates and great support. When I have a question, it is easy to ask and get an answer back.
Always great stuff and the prices are even better plus the people are so nice and friendly that I leave smiling every time. The variety of items is so wide that it doesnt matter what Im looking for because I know that Auction Ohio will have it and if they dont they will very soon because everyday there are auctions added with everything imaginable. Theres high end items, collectables, rare finds,. old, unusual and whether youre looking for something as small and nails or as large as a house you can find it here & the deals are always great and are often unbelievable. If you havent shopped through Auction Ohio I recommend you do and see for yourself.
Quick, easy and efficient!! Everyone was wonderful and accommodating.. Quick money for items I could no longer use since I downsized. Saved a ton of money on no longer having a storage pod. They did it all.
My rating would be probably 4.5. Great way to find quality items from estate sales/liquidations at great prices. A few glitches in the websites & a couple unorganized auction houses but overall love Auction Ohio
We ran into a bad traffic jam on I-70 and Paula waited for an hour and a half for us to make our pickup. She was very nice 5 star mice. Thanks to Paula for her generosity and flexibility.I know to leave hours earlier next time.
Everything was exceptional with my experience with Urban Auctions. Ashley was very informative and easy to work with. Process was smooth and professional. I would recommend them to everyone.
Staff is nice
Horrible, horrible customer service. The auction was a gong show with item not provided to pickup (although stated in print that they would be online and verbally) though I had hired movers to be there with a truck and 2 men. Fridge still sitting in the basement the next day as I type this. And they are trying divert blame on my movers with one hand, while with the other hiring them to come back the next day to move it out of the house (Something their own “movers“ neglected to do. Donna of Keen’s Furniture is an icon of bad customer relations. She chewed loudly during my one phone call to her ahead of time, with me trying to get ducks in a row prior to pickup. Was condescending and rude to put it mildly. An insulting, and thoroughly disgusting experience. I’m now out of pocket my moving costs from yesterday.
The Auction Ohio staff worked diligently and paid close attention to all my concerns. They handled everything from the beginning to end, on the pickup day. It was a great solution to clearing up a lot of items I wanted to sell.
These guys are fantastic! Brian was professional, courteous, forthright and compassionate in what can be a stressful time. Rick and Kyle were also a pleasure to work with as we emptied my storage unit. I can’t say enough good things about these guys
Courtney and Joe were great! So nice and made the process fast and easy! Can’t wait to see what else they get in the future 😁
Great auction site! Joe was very friendly and helpful! Lights, camera, auction!!
Its a place that does auctions. Self explanatory
Auction Ohio was great from the beginning to the end. Friendly, communicated well, and followed through on everything they said! Would definitely use them again and recommend them.
Good place to liquidate excess inventory. The fees are higher than normal and the listing was not well written. But the sale was quick and I was satisfied with the outcome.
Very easy to deal with I had my item shipped to me they received it within 3 or 4 days
I have had great experience with buying from Auction Ohio auctioneers. Wide range of goods.
I regret needing to leave just one star because my shopping experiences at AO have all be satisfactory. However, on my first attempt to do some selling one of the auctioneers, Paula Moulton, left us high and dry at the last minute when she backed out of her contract with us. She simply called and said she couldnt do it and didnt bother to try and line someone else up for us. She asked if we wanted her to do that but frankly at that time I was not in any mood to continue to work with her. For others who might be considering her I would advise caution.
AO is good site overall. Who you buy from is crutial. Auctions by Paula is extremely reputable. The Modern Antique LLC seemed conscientious. Mixed results with Keens Furniture Loft..husbands curio cabinet for me had undisclosed damage on top piece with no offer to make it right. Maywood Mission had 3 of 7 listing issues. Showed video of shampooer in use but missing parts, unusable. Described upgraded model without feature 1st described on auction. New in box item tossed in random box and missing 1 item as pictured. I wont purchase from them again as Mr. Hanks was unapologetic and rude.
Great deals! Great people!
Did not have a good experience at all. Only giving one star above the lowest for two reasons; initially before I bid on items I contacted the auctioneer to see if we could meet at a later date as I was not local. She agreed, so I bid and won numerous items. The flexibility of being able to set up a time and date that worked for me is one of the reasons I gave an extra star on the review. We set up a date and time and I drove over 3 hours to meet at the location. She was 45 minutes late, and ended up giving me one of the wrong items (which was the entire reason I even started bidding in the first place) I had them packaged to transport back home and did not realize the error until I got back. At this point, I now spent over 6 hours traveling and close to $100 in fuel, waited nearly an hour for her to show up (all the while not responding to phone calls or texts until ten minutes before she showed up). I called her and texted her explaining the issue, and she never responded. I was so upset that I called the number on the Auction Ohio website, and did speak with a lady who promised to resolve the issue. She was very professional and sympathetic to the situation, which is the second reason I gave an extra star on the review. However, the solution I desired was not the outcome of the problem. I wanted the item I won, or something similar to it. Instead I received a refund check for $12. (Yes, that was the cost of the item.) While I completely understand they couldnt refund me for more than what I paid for the item, I am insulted by the complete disregard for the inconvenience this caused me through the entire situation. This is such a disappointment because it appears that they have nice items listed for auction but I am just not willing to go through this hassle again. They really need to be more picky when hiring their auctioneers. They are the reason the business is suffering and I hope they see that.
Professional, fair and great at communicating when questions, great deals on new, used, vintage and Collectables, try not to tell anyone.
Brian, Mark and their team were so kind and patient with my mom as she downsized from her house of 42 years into a smaller place. I was very pleased with the outcome of the auction.
Always professional. Have found some great items at good prices. Love the variety and selection.
Did a good job explaining the process and listing items. Worked with us for items that we accidentally did not have put aside for tagging to be listed.
The online auctions are good. Nu2u is a vendor you should avoid. Some vendors list plated jewelry as solid karat gold.
Repeat bidder with this auction service. Never disappointed
Great site for deals
This is one of my favorite Auction sites. Auction managers are organized and friendly and most of the time willing to work with you when you cant make an auction or any other issues that may arise.
Beware there are no regulations governing online auctions in the state of Ohio. Kyle Bonham is the worst online auctioneer on this site. It says call with questions but his inbox is always full. He does not photograph or describe items accurately. Condition is often not accurate and he is disrespectful of the items, in the way they are stored or moved. Purchased a bed and it was missing all the hardware, Mr. Bonham and staff did not respond to inquiries to find or discuss the situation. Bought another bed and the veneer was unglued and loose, not described or photographed. Signs for pick up are not prominent and pick up is difficult and hazardous to your vehicle and person. He doesnt chose to list pick up locations until after the auction is over even if it is not a private residence. The solution of Mr. Bonham and his team is just to tell you not to buy from them if you dont like it, they have no interest in improving their practices. There is one really professional site on Auction Ohio and the manager is Paula, She treats her clients, items and buyers with respect. The others should learn from her example. If my family had to sell an estate only Paula would be allowed to handle the transaction.
I have nothing except Great respect for Auction Ohio, they go that extra mile to make sure things are correct, excellent Job...
I love AO Price in Chillicothe Taylor Sowers is awesome.
I’ve sold with these folks before. After selling close to $1,000 in items, received back around $300. They did pick up, but the kicker was they kept items (with wife’s permission) that “couldn’t sell.” Only thing is some of these items I purchased on auctionohio! Most recently, very misleading description, indicating transformers part of the lot. There were none. Items all in horrible condition. Company at the point where so much saturation one is not going to get a good deal. Go with another auction company. Unfortunately experience with company has gone down rapidly over the past 4 years. Thanks.
My experience with them in the last auction (picked up on Tuesday Sep 19) was terrible. I bought 3 lots. 2 of them were useless and we actually just cleaned trash for them. The processor was missing all of the blades so it was not usable. All of the cleaning products are opened can. The hose was not well sealed so cant be used. The extension cord is broken at one end so cant be used either. Can we refuse to bring the items home and just ask them to donate? No, they charge an addition $10/per lot because they said its the fee to dump these items away. You can donate only if you choose to donate the whole invoice, not a part of an invoice. That means even I bought and paid for 3 lots, I cant just donate the whole 2 lots out of 3. If I hadnt needed the other one lot, I would not have wasted time to clean out so much trash.
Super easy way to get good quality stuff for great prices. I can always find something I want!
Be very careful, about bidding, if a item is going to cheap, the auction manager will bid up the price. Shady people and more shady business deals, crooks!!! Everything but the house is a more reliable service to use. Wont use site ever again.
This company is a real problem solver! I have used them three times now and always had a good experience!
Good deals
Easy in and out. Well organized for pickup. Accurate descriptions.
Its always great
I posted something last night, which apparently got deleted. It is fraudulent to post an auction ending time and then extend the auction several times over beyond when that auction is supposed to end. Which is exactly what this business did. I bid in the last 10 seconds of an auction thinking it would be over as often people do in an auction, only to find that it got extended. And then when that extended time was over, it got extended again. Big fraud, big scam.
I was the runner up on a truck. The winning bidder apparently backed out because aoactions listed it wrong. The auctioneer called my house and offered me the choice to buy the truck. I agreed to purchase the truck. The day I was supposed to pick up the truck they told me the seller now didnt want to sale it for that price so I couldnt buy it. Why didnt they have a reserve price set or somthing. Also a year or so ago they had a Lincoln for sale I was the winning bidder. I got a call from them wanting me to come pay for it but then they told me it would take about a month to get the title because it had to go through the courts. No where in the listing did it say I had to wait on the title. So unfortunately I didnt get the car due to their mistake.
I spent thousands of dollars with this company until I realized that the bids are being advanced by phony 7000s numbers. Some months ago I won an item and the auction was closed. 8 minutes after closing another number was inserted and given the item. I contaced them, but they claimed it was impossible. Last month I won four items, and my bidder winning number was outlined in green. When I was sent my invoice it showed I only won 2 items. The other two items were given to a 7000 number with my winning bid below this phony number, still showing I had won. I contacted them, but was just given a bunch of bull and lies. I caution you...especially on Kyles site. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN!!
Easy to use. Fast checkout with easy payment.
Theyve now broken up their site into two: Zipperbuy and Auction Ohio. AO sells the estate stuff, while Zipperbuy sells their new and overstock merchandise. I dont usually buy the estate stuff, but buying Zipperbuy merchandise is great, and they are way more laid back than other auction houses. The 7-day return policy on items not as described is more than generous, and they will let you open the merchandise to check before you buy.I like it from a buyers standpoint, but keep in mind rules may vary by warehouse.
Your staff was timely, thorough, and really helped us through a difficult time. We all are thank full for their efforts and support in liquidating the household items.
Horrible Experience first time I bid on something. I was close to winning the bid and they yanked the Lot at the last minute. Never again, how can I trust them? I have withdrawn my account with Auction Ohio.
