I worked in the shipping department, which consists of a 10 hour shift in which you’ll be stacking an average 80-150 boxes per pallet, which then have to be loaded onto trucks to be shipped out to grocery stores. You might also be given a chance to operate the computer system, which honestly might be more exhausting especially when the conveyor belt jams every few minutes to the point it’s really irritating and your constantly having to run around fixing the jams all day. Not to mention that you can’t go home until all boxes have been loaded onto the trucks, so with the conveyor belt system jamming constantly, you can imagine a 10 hour shift turns into a 12 hour shift sometimes, hence your paycheck fluctuates every week. Also they took away the 4th break due to rules not being followed by one of the groups, which is irritating considering that your going to be exhausted the whole shift, especially mid-shift, your body is pretty much done at that point. Honestly there just aren’t enough employees to make the day go by faster, so the work load is uneven, and everyone is just tired and grumpy, but some of the guys are chill.

Horrible company. Find another distributor!This one will make your life 1000x more difficult.

Worked here as an order selector. The pressure of this job is extreme. Leaders are sometimes disrespectful and I feel like they honestly don’t care about you just your work. Wayy too stressful

This place is super slow for unloading they take they sweet time i had only 16 pallets of same stuff 560 dollars lamper,only good thing about this place u can overnight park here.

Dont get all the complaints. Had a 5am appointment (42 pallets), checked in on time and was empty at 6:20am. Nice people. Dont care about lumper fees....broker pays it, not me.

I arrive at this place at midnight, 7 hours before my delivery time. I checked in and backed into my door and by 1400 needed to use restroom only to find out that this place does not allow drivers to use their restroom. I believe that any business engaging in interstate commerce is required to furnish restroom facilities but besides that what kind of human being would make someone that has been driving from state to state and waiting on their property for 14+hours not use their restroom. I do not feel as if they think I am human but a commodity. I will be contacting the authorities further to investigate this !

Majority of dock doors are not sleeper friendly. Daycabs have no problems. They will work with you & move you to a suitable door. Office staff not rude but not polite either. Loaders are cool though

I agree with the delivery drivers the purchasing department over books delivery so Independence drivers sit there and lose money I know because I used work for them. SO IF YOUR A INDEPENDENT DRIVER dont take the job read the other drivers reviews!!! I never never never work for them again...

I work for a small business in which we use them as a distributor. They always either short us or have overage on items. The way they pack a pallet is an atrocity and not to mention safety hazard layering way to high. They have no common sense in decency to know how to package and ship items and putting heavy items ontop of light items. Its obvious there is no pride and integrity at least in there quality of the warehouse department.

My Appt. was 10AM. Start unloading 9AM and empty around 11AM. Lumper Boss very friendly and organized.

Got there 11pm for 6am appointment no gate a lot spaces to park for overnight parking I’ve received my papers around 9am I’m not sure if it’s lumber place but I didn’t pay any lumber fee

For truck driver advise. They take 3 to 4 hours to to unload a partial load. They count all freight. They do box by box count. Building located in Worcester, MA.

$875 lumper 7 hrs to get unloaded on a Friday, beyond criminal.Also no bathroom

Well this place its the worst f.... place I never come back Im waiting to long to unload the trailer no fockic bathroom peoples bring food and some plastics bags to leave the f.... sheet and leave and the yard f...... place I hope driver refuse to came and stop bring merchandise here

Pretty good place. If in a semi avoid coming down webster from main street. There is a low bridge 12 foot 2 inches.

Worst place to deliver. 08:00 appt and 5 hours later still nothing. Plus they charge $420 lumper fee. Lady in charge (not lady at front desk) has the worst attitude towards drivers every time she comes outside to smoke (4 times since Ive been here. Avoid at all costs. 0 stars. Its like they are doing drivers a favor to unload when its their job.

Easy to navigate drop and hooks.

Lumper is too high and when overage they just will leave it in your trailer. 1 layover and trip back to shipper.

PLEASE DON’T DELIVER TO THIS PLACE!!! My appointment was 8AM, checked in @7:30AM. Slow, Slow, Slow unloading people. Now 2:45PM gave me my paperwork leaving 5 pallets inside my trailer, manager said shipper over-shipped. No restroom, $242 for lumper fee for 10 pallets.

Truckers beware 8am appointment I was in time, now is 3pm theyre not done. Never again.

If I could I would give no stars, 8,30 hours, 3 pallets left behind on my truck, I am done for day, Thank you .

This business is sucks, they have no respect for truck driver . They treated truck drivers like cockroaches, no bathroom to use, long time to unload you, it would take at least 10 hours to unload your truck .Drivers please do not deliver to this business at all we need to United so we makes business to respect us more.
