The man in parts is VERY difficult. Every time we have spoken, he seems to get irritated with me and made me feel like he does not like me. But the young lady in the accounting department Alyssa was extremely helpful. Thankful for her assistance in getting my order taken care of as efficiently as she did. Thank you for the help. Looking forward to getting the parts.

They say they will ship same day as long as orders are in by 5pm. I ordered at 2:20pm on a Friday and it’s now Monday at 4:45pm even through they charged me $150 for next day shipping I still don’t have my part. This place is a joke.

Dr.Diesel told me he didnt want to do business when I asked if he could simply look up a part number. Thinking back, I dont want to do business with someone who calls themself Dr.Diesel anyway. Save your time and take your money elsewhere.

I cant believe the way I was treated on the phone, the man I spoke to was a total jerk. If I had all of the answers, I wouldnt have bothered calling them. I would NEVER do business with a company like this, even if they were the only place to get the parts. I am amazed that someone could be SO RUDE and still be in business. Shame on you sir.

Purchased a Foley rebuilt Deutz engine for a customer of mine. Within 200 hours It threw a rod through the block. They did not want to warranty it and I am out thousands. Call them if you want the same treatment.

“Dr. Diesel” as he insists on going by could be a contender for the worst customer service representative out there. He refuses to help his customers whether it be with information, parts, or warranty. Based off reading the other reviews, I suspect there won’t be much of this company around for too long. Highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other parts companies that are willing to work with their customers.

Very informative website, called parts department to order pto, had everything I needed in stock within hours I was there picking up. Phil in parts was very helpful gave me some pointers for reinstalling new pto. By next day I was back up and running.

So over the past 20 years I have had a Perkins, I have occasionally called these jerks for a part. If you like abuse, youll love Foley. They are not just rude, they are astoundingly rude. Theres a guy who answers the phone as Dr. Diesel and he gets my nomination for nastiest jerk on the planet. Do business with nice people - call TA Diesels in Hayes, VA. Theyre also Perkins specialists and they understand the meaning of customer service. Again, I cant emphasize enough, Foley is the single worst customer service encounter Ive had in 20 years!

A complete rat ba5tard! horrible horrible experience!... and thats putting it lightly. Im not sure why they would even answer the phone if their service sucks so bad!!! Why stay in business? Who are they servicing? All the horrible reviews back up my sentiment. Maybe the city named the street, Asylum st after these bozos moved in.Response: Your callous disregard for providing customer service.. heck just answering simple questions with etiquette would have been satisfactory. And Im still not sure why you make up stories about why I called... trying to justify my review is not one of your skill sets, neither is proper speaking manner and/or etiquette. I called to have a highly technical discussion about a transmission. I found a discrepancy between the manual and the transmission itself and wanted to order the correct parts. Dr Diesel was so astoundingly rude and condescending that I am in utter shock. He refused to listen to the situation, interrupted me, insulted me, and spoke to me like I was an idiot (FYI, I am a Georgia Tech engineer). When I tried to explain the situation to him over his interrupting he simply hung up on me. This is the first 1 star review I have ever written in my life. Do not bother to ever do business with these people!

Dr. Diesel sent me the wrong parts even though I specifically told them over the phone which part I needed. I had to pay for return costs and he wanted both the wrong part and my old part as well before he would ship me the correct one.All the complaints and reviews you read are TRUE. Do not trust this company. Run, Run, far away. There are alternate companies that provide the same hard to find parts and are extremely customer friendly and even lower cost. One such company I now purchase from is Trans Atlantic Diesel. I now purchase everything for my Perkins from them since my poor experience with Foley. I have since purchased a new transmission, damper plate, injectors, fuel pump, and a cruiser kit from Trans Atlantic. If Foley was to have treated me right the first time, I would have purchased from them... but they lost my business.

Called one day to ask about getting some pistons and Dr. Diesel tried to sell me an entire overhaul kit which I didnt want or I would have asked for one, so I bought them elsewhere. Called two days later to ask about some exhaust bolts and he said they have a minimum order of $75. I am certainly not going to pay that much for a couple of $4 bolts. During our short conversation he told me every time I went to speak, I sighed and it sounded like someone was knifing me in the chest! He asked me not to call them ever again because I was wasting their time.Dr. Diesel is very rude and not only wasted my time but also my companies time. Never do business with them.

These people are pretty much scumbags that will sell you junk and then not even warranty it when it breaks within 50 hours of use. When you call them to come up with a mutually benefiting answer to the problems they hang up on you when they dont feel like talking anymore. They even charged me a restocking fee on a core charge, how is that even possible. Greedy dirtbags.

Google really needs to start offering 0 Stars because one star indicates that Foley engines has done something right. This is the most dishonest and downright criminal company Ive ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Besides being fraudulent business men they are rude and condescending. Foley engines seems to think that having a rubber stamp made with the trademarked twin disc logo makes them a twin disc dealer. They sell cheap Chinese knock-off ptos and claim they are twin discs but including photocopied twin disc manuals. But still charge the same price as a legitimate twin disc dealer would. They have been issued multiple cease and desist orders to stop this practice but somehow continue. Doctor diesel belongs in handcuffs and that warehouse of fraud should be torn down

Extremely rude. Was inquiring about purchasing a set of continental head bolts. Guy said it was hard to come by but had some in stock. He then told me that if I wanted it, Id have to buy a gasket set also. I was confused by his statement because as a machine shop business owner, I had never heard of such a thing. So after I asked him to repeat himself, he became furious and cursed me out and then hung up on me. Mind you..... I was polite the whole time and never got angry (having a bad attitude is not how I build a strong supply network). I called back and politely asked to speak to a manager, he yelled NO YOU CANT! And hung up again. I then emailed them my complaint, guess who responded?! Yup, same grumpy guy. Saying that Im the one that needs to learn how to talk to people. Hmmmm.... I really hope they have it recorded because not once did I ever raise my voice or get angry. Needless to say, I easily found my parts elsewhere and without having to buy a gasket set or receiving an attitude. I never purchased from foley again. There are sooooo many other suppliers out there that treat you professionally.

The self claim Dr Diesel besides of being so Rude is not going to help you with an engine problem is there ONLY to sell you something.I truly think he dont know enough to call himself Dr Diesel.After He sold me the shop manual and the timing belt kit for a deutz 2011 engine I install the belt and the engine still smoking, I call for help hes response was ok my friend and he hang up the phone.They dont deserve my time writing this review. Ordered a rebuild kit for a wisconsin engine. piston rings didnt come with the kit. when i called they stated they would ship the rings ground only. i told them i needed them overnight as i have a machine down and this was their error. they wanted to charge me for the overnight freight even though they were the ones at fault.never doing buisiness with this company again.

Snide attitude, accused customer of lying. I would never buy anything from this company.After two calls, the tech (who would not give his name) accused me of telling him false information and told me, essentially, to get lost. They clearly know they have specialist knowledge and parts but they are not the only ones on the East Coast who do.They are snide, snippy and unhelpful. Yelp also has accusations of long lead times after taking customer money.Do not be fooled by their website. I will seek literally any other engine dealer in the future.

I called to get some information after emailing and filling out the contact form and not hearing anything for over a week. I get transferred to Dr. Diesel(wouldnt actually give me a name) who was rude and continued to cut me off when I tried to ask a question. I googled the company after that phone call and ended up here. This company is a waste of time and I honestly do not see how they can be in business treating people like this.Absolutely no communication skills just rudeness.

Ive never had to view a companys rating, let alone write a review, but after an interaction with dr. Diesel, I felt compelled. Working on an engine I will be spending thousands of dollars on, I needed some information on a size for an injector, so I can diagnose via comp test. Totally unwilling to help and only wanted me to rent his kit for 150. I informed him I had a tester, so he wanted to sell me his intire tester kit for 500 bucks. I explained Im only needing the adapter size and Im told I can rent or buy his. I had planned on purchasing all of my parts to rebuild this engine through this vendor, but after his rude, cocky uncooperative additude I politely told him Id be taking my business elsewhere.... was the rudest person Ive spoken with in decades. Do yourself a favor and get your engine parts from another vendor. BTW, he makes you call him dr. diesel on the phone, DONT call him jay!

I had a terrible experience with this company. I sold them a part for $500 and they had only originally wanted to pay $200. I said I would not be selling it for that price so we agreed on $500. They came and picked up the part then mailed me a check for $200. I called them to say they owed me money and they said my old age must be interfering with my memory because they never agreed to that. I had the worst customer service and I will never do any business with them again. I would not recommend using this company for anything.

Fraudulent. You must find somewhere else to buy your parts from even though they may be hard to find. Terrible company with terrible customer service. Dr. Diesel, or Jay, as a normal functioning person would call himself, knows quite a bit about engines. He also knows how disgusting he is because he treats other people like he feels on the inside, which is a pre-pubescent sad little boy who takes his frustrations out on small defenseless farm animals. Do business with this fruit loop if you want, but if you read this first, dont be mad at Dr. Diesel when you end up before a judge. Be mad at yourself because I, and everyone else, on every review site for this deadbeat 100 year old family owned crap company, warned you.

I called this jerk today to inquire about parts for a Perkins I recently acquired. He was stuck on where I bought the engine and not what I was needing. I needed some various parts for the crate engine, I wanted pricing on the parts and some general information on the engine, hp ratings, application etc., This snarky man stated that he wished me well with my purchase that was not from Foley but he was not telling me anything until he secured a sale. He accused me of being interruptive, loud and excited. I could not hear this snide man because I was driving down the road in my company truck. I hung up, best decision I made all day. I will never spend a red cent with Foley. I called Perkins parts direct, next best decision. I spoke with Robert, a friendly man not concerned with securing a sale before speaking with the customer. I spent over $600.00 with Perkins Parts Direct today because of the excellent customer service I recieve from PPD. Do yourself a favor, do not go to Foley, go elsewhere. Dr. Diesel needs to diagnose his attitude problem.Eric B.

Uhm yeah called this guy he asked me where i bought my other parts also he accused me of interupting him i felt like hanging up but i needed an end crankshaft bolt and one flywheel bolt and i figured he had me by the nards so i decided to zip my mouth he said that the bolt wasnt a big enough order so id have to buy something else i said i need an oil filter and fuel filter he said ok ill get that out soit arrived quick 2 days and for 110 dollars i got one end bolt for my crankshaft the flywheel bolt looked like they removed it with channel locks and a fuel filter but his attitude was horribleer
