What a shop! Very friendly and engaging staff and beautiful showroom to boot... Laundry’s Worcester makes you feel right at home when you pass through their doors. The standout for me has to be Ryan Yates. I came in with an issue I originally believed to be a repair, but through speaking to and working with Ryan, was delighted to find the problem would be taken care of under warranty. Ryan’s experience with, knowledge of and passion for cycling and bicycles, along with his kind mannerisms speak for themselves. It is because of this I can wholeheartedly recommend anyone to go to Laundry’s Worcester and seek him out. In today’s fast paced world where customer care seems too often overlooked and the mentality is geared toward disposability, Ryan truly shines by thinking, bucking this trend and finding a way. After proofreading my own review (I rarely, if ever, take the time to write reviews, good or bad, however my experience was such that it warranted my time to do so) it sounds like I’m gilding the lily, but please people, take my word for it, Ryan and the shop collectively have earned my respect and I highly recommend them. Happy Riding, BB

Landry’s was the perfect choice to order my new cycling shoes; I live in VA and I couldn’t find the pair I was searching for anywhere in the greater DC area, but I went online and found Landry’s! Staff was excellent to deal with. The gentleman who cashed me out was super helpful and polite. I came from Springfield area where the local bike shops have a lot of attitude. I have bought multiple bikes from Landrys Bicycles. Many things are good. They understand you might be a first time rider, they support and welcome that. It was very busy. I went there for service, unannounced. I was welcomed immediately, courteously, but I had to wait outside 10-15 minutes before someone talked to me. Then I wad told that it would take about 4 weeks to fix my bikes because there were other people ahead of me. The person I talked with seemed very knowledgeable, but I took my stuff and left, going to do the work myself rather than waiting 4 weeks dir a flat tire and moving some parts around between 2 bikes.

Not sure if this is a typical experience, or Im just a particularly unlucky customer - in early June I scheduled a fit for Jun 23 in Worcester as it was the earliest appointment available. After I arrived for my appt on June 23, I was told that due to Covid-19, fits were canceled. I had not been notified of this at any time and was understandably frustrated since I had driven from Boston to Worcester specifically for the bike fit. However, I was then told that my name would be put on a bike (Domane AL3) coming in the following week. I called back two weeks later, only to hear that Landrys now has no idea when my bike is coming in. To me, it feels like they were willing to say anything to get me to put down the $500 deposit.I realize the pandemic has resulted in a number of bike shops being overloaded with work, and while that is certainly great for business I think the customer experience needs to pick up a bit. At the end of the day, I am disappointed in Landrys because Ive wasted a month on this company and am no closer to getting onto a new bike. To their credit, they did refund me without issue.

Purchased a 2020 Roubaix Comp in July with guidance from Neil Medin. Given how busy the shop is, I was very happy with how the purchase and pickup went. Excellent crew there. Had one issue with the drive train that was confirmed by Neil after I had the bike for about a month, but it was handled in a very professional manner by him and his staff. He knew I wanted the bike for the Labor Day weekend so I could get rides in, and he found a way to diagnose and correct the mechanical problem and get the bike back to me. I cant thank him or his staff enough. They are top shelf. I have a high degree of admiration for how they are juggling and efficiently managing all the activity at the shop and recommend Landrys Worcester store without reservation. Truly outstanding!

The service here was outstanding! I just purchased my first road bike and could not be happier. My experience began with a phone call to check on availability and to ask some basic questions about a bike. Sebastien answered all of my questions and checked on the availability of multiple bikes for me. I visited the store a few hours later where Sebastien and another employee presented several bikes and outlined some of the key features as well as some of the pros/cons of each. They fit me to two different sizes to ensure I had the correct size. After demoing the bikes I had more questions including various hypotheticals and what if’s. Both employees were extremely knowledgeable and very patiently answered all of my questions until I was sure that I had the correct size as well as a bike that would not be more or less bike than I needed. I purchased a bike as well as an indoor trainer, both of which had to be ordered from a warehouse.I received a phone call three days later informing me that I could pick up my purchase. When I arrived at the store Neil brought the items to my car, helped me adjust my bike, and set up my cleats for me.Throughout the entire process every employee was friendly and knowledgeable. I truly believe that they all wanted to help me find the right bike that I would be happy with. I could have purchased this bike from an online retailer for a discount but I chose to purchase it at Landry’s because of the service I received. I feel confident I made the right purchase from the right shop.

Had my first tune up in a long time because my shifting was a little off. Sometimes hard to get in gear without a bunch of chain noise. I chose the mid-level service - up to $200 or something like that. They were able to check many things with this service including a new chain, brake cables, and a rear shift cable was replaced as well. It felt good to receive some well overdue professional service. After I picked it up, I took a ride and noticed some adjustments were still needed perhaps from cables stretching. They were very quick to resolve my issues and took my bike in for follow up service at no charge. Today, I took a 17 mile athletic ride through many steep hills and I am pleased at how well my cycle now performs. Thank you Landry’s!

Terrible customer service by Manager Neil my son had cash money for a DBLOCKS Big Ripper and we call to check their inventory he said it was available and had to be ordered from warehouse. However when I asked how much was the minimum deposit he said $200 which I thought it was ridiculous. He didn’t try to work around the minimum deposit and gave me a very hard time. I told him I could only do $100 deposit because my son had the money in cash and I was just helping little men out. He finally agreed to the $100 after having to explain the situation over and over. At that point I didn’t want to buy the bike from this store anymore. This is why I went and bought it from a different store where it was more expensive but had better customer service. I won’t recommend this place to any of my friends.

Juan came out right after the text msg with a helmet. He gave me a run down on how it should fit and he was so patient with me and made sure that the helmet I wanted was the right size. He asked a lot of good questions and after my transaction he made sure I was okay to put on my other bike accessory and noted that if I had trouble to just bring my bike in and they could do it for me. USELESS, NOT KNOWLEDGEABLEI acquire and rebuild used bikes as a hobby. I have used other Landrys locations for assistance in these projects in the past, without issue. Not all Landrys are the same, however, as I learned at this location.Shortly after moving to Worcester, I obtained a deteriorated 2002 Specialized full suspension mountain bike for $50, and brought it in for a rebuild estimate. I do this on every project, to give a local business a chance to sell me at least some of the parts or do some of the work, before I ultimately end up buying mostly online and doing most of the work myself (thereby saving an average of $1,000 per project).I leave the bike with Landrys and am told to expect a call. The service manager (Rob) calls me. What do you want to do with this bike?, he asks. Immediately, I apprehend that this encounter is already going the wrong way, since the only thing that people do with bikes (ride them) is completely irrelevant to the fact that I have left the bike for estimate regarding very specific work (brake upgrade, new drive train, etc.).Rather than risk offending by telling him the bike will be for riding (!), I begin to simply restate the specifics of what I have already told Landrys I want, charitably assuming that he may not have gotten the memo (or whatever). He stops me.This is a TWO THOUSAND TWO, he says, with his original emphasis. To do even just a brake upgrade would instantly be $1,000 RIGHT OFF THE BAT... and then the rest of the work! And these size wheels are basically for KIDS bikes nowadays! At this point Im taken aback by how drastically this Landrys experience already differs from prior ones. It seems Rob does not understand that a process for refurbishing bikes can exist, and does, in fact, occur outside of inefficient, archaic shops like his. Clearly, he has no interest in playing a role here.I say, Okay, sounds like most of the expense involved would be labor; Ill probably do most of that myself, honestly. But if you want to give me prices on parts...You would have to compensate me to even FIND compatible parts for this, because it would take TIME, Im talking HOURS! You should really buy a new bike [for $1,800.00], and honestly, if youre not even going to give me money for the work on this bike, Im not interested in helping you.I go in and pick up the bike. Over the course of the next day, between other local shops and the internet (expedited shipping), I locate (in about 20 minutes) and acquire all of the parts the bike needs (every mechanical component) for under $500. I then do the work in 2.5 hours. I now have the equivalent of Robs $1,800 in-house bike for $500, no thanks to Landrys.
