Phil is a very honest man and busy i have a 2013 chevy equinox that kept drawing power out of numerous New batteries took it to various shops threw warranty and they said nothing wrong even Chevy dealer left it for few days an nothing.... Finally came across Phils auto repair told him take his time no rush this man did the work himself because it was a challenge that he even lost sleep behind this vehicle he even took pictures of everything he took apart to resolve the problem dashboard took apart finally found the problem two of the fuse boxes were faulty they were giving out power while car was turned off so far so good and gave us six months warranty on work.... He saved us from getting into a new car note thank you Phil may God continue to bless you and family.... I truly would recommend him not many honest mechanic out there.... 👍👌🙏

First time-last time customer here. This place had my car for an entire day last week and did zero work on it without my knowledge and never called or returned my calls. I found out when I arrived at close. Im now realizing this places positive reviews are from long-time customers.Full story:Dropped off my car to Phil that morning at 10am appointment, was told I would receive a call for the 2 issues I mentioned and the estimate. 6 hours later, no call received, so I decided to call and they said Ill receive a call back shortly and that they wouldnt keep the car overnight. They never called and they close at 6pm. At 5:30 I arrive very confused. Phil tells me Ill need to go to a tire place and breaks would be $345 if I choose to do them. What did you do with my car for an entire day!? This could have been communicated all day! There was no valid reason for not contacting me. I lost a whole day with no work on my car that desperately needed it. Absolutely unacceptable and horrible business.

Phil is a very honest mechanic, I have been going to him since December 2019, he Listens to what you say the problems are and can even go for a ride with you to see for himself And Honestly he goes out of his way to get your car fixed right at the best cost. Always quality work. I will go to him with any vehicle for as long as I can. I don’t let anyone touch my car so that’s good 😅! For example today I went in for my car shaking and I was being told I needed parts for 800 and he said no they are great still and even reminded me I have insurance on my tires so they can fix the mounting and balance problem that he diagnosed and doesn’t charge to diagnose those small things. Once again he and his mechanics are the most knowledgeable and professional are more professional and passionate then them. I highly reccomend.

Phil and his crew are incredible! Im an out-of -state college student residing nearby and I received fantastic service. I called Phil on Wednesday afternoon to inquire about my car as the alignment was off, the brakes were squealing, and the check engine light was on. He immediately scheduled me for Friday morning. When I arrived, he was very kind and attentive, and I instantly felt that my car was in good hands. He fixed the car within a few hours, so it was brought in and ready to go in the same day. The price was super fair for the repairs that he did. In addition, he looked under the hood, checked my fluid levels, and put air in my tires FOR FREE! Fantastic service with a smile, I would highly recommend this place!

Great supplies used. Pricey. Ask to look at my car for a service I requested and cause it took him awhile got charged $80 when I went to pick it back up. He never told me about the fee up hand. Got charged that and it was exactly what I told him was wrong with it. Haven’t been back since.

Phil is an honest mechanic. He gave me a fair and precise quote without any surprises. He is patient, polite and easy to work with. After changing the brake rotors and pads, he showed me the replaced parts and explained to me why the rotor needs to be replaced. I would recommend his shop to anyone who needs an honest mechanic.

To my surprise Phils Auto Repair exceeded all my expectations. I arived at 8:30 am for my appointment. Phil greeted me, he is very polite, when I told him I was waiting for the car he immediately put my car in the bay and replaced the roters and pads on rear brakes, changed the oil all for the price he quoted in 2 hours. Phil is professional and friendly. I hope I can meet him before I change my wheel which cost $700. He will explain the reason why the car is shaking or vibrating. Test drive with you and find the root cause and provide you a fair suggestion to change or just repair.

I called Phils Auto Repair in the morning to ask if they could fix a rattling in my car. They told me to swing by, so I did, and despite not having an appointment (and having called just hours before), they took care of the rattling, replaced my brake light, and had me out the door in a little over an hour.While I was waiting, Phil took care of another customer by showing her the part he was replacing, walking her through what went wrong and how his team would fix it. He brought another customer to the garage to show her exactly what they were doing.The pricing was more than reasonable, Phil was patient and professional, and I was lucky to be in and out without any hassle. Ill be back to Phils again -- thank you!

I had a great experience here a few years ago. I was in the neighborhood visiting friends and my car got a dead battery. I got a jump but the car died again. I limped it over to Phils and they checked it out, got me a new alternator and didnt ever try to upsell or do any deceptive stuff that seems to be the norm when you walk into a random shop.

Phil is very nice and kept me informed of the cost and timeline of the repairs to both our family cars. He did a great job explaining what repairs were needed now and what repairs could wait. When he replaced the motor mounts for my Acura MDX, he saved the old broken parts and showed them to me when I came to pick up the car and also explained how they work! In addition, he replaced my brakes and rotors for half the price as when I had them done at Firestone, and he showed me that the quality of the brakes he was using was better than the quality of the ones I had. He also guaranteed no problems with the brakes for 1 year or he would fix them for free. So far Ive had two cars repaired at Phils, and I feel that Ive found a mechanic I can trust. I would strongly recommend Phils Auto Repair to anyone looking for good trustworthy mechanic at a good price.

Genuinely nice and FAIR person. Gave me a great price for what I needed done, and even brought me into the shop to show me what was wrong with my car. I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of at all. Definitely bringing my car back for any other problems I might have in the future.

My experience at Phil’s auto repair wasn’t the greatest. I brought in my car to get a diagnosis for a thumping /vibration that came from the front end of my car and for an ABS light. After the test drive with Phil, I left my car with him so he could further investigate the issue. He calls me about an hour later and tells me my front right wheel bearing and spindle needs to be replaced because the spindle was bent. I was a bit upset Bc I literally replaced that wheel bearing with an OEM wheel bearing a few months ago.I then asked him, “ after you replace that, the thumping noise will go away ?” He confidently told that it would, so I took his word for it. I ended up with a $450 bill for the repair. I didn’t really mind it at first Bc I just wanted my car to drive smoothly again. When I got my car back, the abs light was off but I still could hear and feel the thumping very faintly. I wanted to ignore it but the thumping got worse as I kept driving. I brought my car back to Phil and we went on another test drive. We both could feel the thumping. Now, he decides to tell me it could be my brand new snow tires that’s causing the thumping because I didn’t get an alignment after installing my snow tires or it could be my struts that arent even a year old... I told him that I thought the wheel bearing and spindle repair would of stopped the thumping like he said and then he claims that it was only suppose to fix the howling noise as if my wheel bearing was bad. My car never howled... I know what a bad wheel bearing sounds like. At this point I feel like I paid $450 to get my abs light reset. Great way to waste $$ and time around the holidays...

He will tell you when you can wait on a repair, rather than just charging you up the wazoo and catastrophizing any small problem so you spend mega money.Phil has done a great job keeping my 1992 Volvo in shape. Before I went to phil I spent $1000 getting unnessary repairs at two different mechanics for an electrical problem that they never fixed. I went to Phil, he figured it out, the problem was only $200 to fix and the problem actually got resolved!!Thank you Phil!
