Maegan is amazing. I’m a first time mom and I don’t know how I would’ve birthed without her! It was like having a husband there who knew exactly what to do and say and expect 😂 I looked at her face when I needed reassurance... but she did/was much more than that. I will recommend her to anyone!!

Maegan far exceeded our expectations for Maternity photography from the very onset. Weeks before our photo shoot, she was so incredibly helpful. Maegan offered tons of advice to help find appropriate clothing and affordable flowers. She took the time to look over tons of pictures I texted her to coordinate flower choices for our milk bath shoot. I was so impressed by her attentiveness and eagerness to assist. The day of our photo shoot, Maegan proved herself to be a professional and amazingly skilled photographer. My husband and I immediately fell in love with her personality. She took care of every detail, down to water breaks and stopping to eat. When we received our virtual maternity album that very evening, I couldnt help but cry. Maegan captured every moment and emotion I had ever hoped for and more. If it werent for COVID restrictions, wed be enlisting in her Doula services as well! My husband and I are so excited to have found such an amazing photographer to capture our family moments for years to come.

Most people dont realize how important it is for a photographer to know how to pose you for your unique shape and features. I have been photographed by Maegan and seen her work with other clients. My husband and I hired Maegan to shoot newborn photos for us during the week of Christmas. She came to our house and brought the props (baskets, blankets, hair bows, etc.) to capture the perfect shots of our little girl. I was hesitant on getting a photographer because I had a c-section 5 days before and was unsure if I could go through with it. Im so glad that I did. Maegan was very caring and patient and took her time with me. She went above and beyond to make sure our photos were perfect (which they are) and we couldnt be more grateful. I cant recommend her enough.

Ahhh I wish every mom could meet Maegan and get know her work. When it comes to her doula services she was exactly the presence my husband and I needed. She is kind, patient, and nurturing but also very knowledgeable, prepared, and honest- this helped us to stay calm but ultimately make the best decisions for us and our baby in the moment when it was a bit hard to think straight. We have agreed since then that we never want to have another baby without Maegan there with us!! If you’re looking for a photographer- she is truly the best! Maegan captured our birth so beautifully, all of those sweet moments (everything from contractions to our baby’s first breath) that would’ve otherwise been just a memory we get to cherish and keep forever as a photograph. She later came to our home to check on us and take newborn and family photos. She was wonderful- from helping us make sure we didn’t look like exhausted parents to patiently waiting for our two year old to cooperate. Maegan is an absolute angel. She introduced herself to me last year when I was looking into hiring a doula around 14 weeks pregnant. Mistakenly I ended up going with someone right down the road from me because I thought it would be more convenient. A few weeks go by and we had our anatomy ultrasound. Unfortunately, at 21 weeks we found out our daughter had sadly passed away from three structures in her umbilical cord. It was and has been devastating to say the least. That evening of the anatomy scan I reached out looking for guidance about what was to come the next day in the hospital on a Facebook group that we were both apart of. Unfortunately my previous doula didn’t have much advice to give me and I could tell would have been uncomfortable being present during the labor from our communication.Shortly after I posted in the group Maegan reached out with her condolences and offered her photography and doula services to me. With the situation being so sensitive I was a bit apprehensive about having someone I’d never met there with us for that but she reassured me that if I decided to have her there that she would do her best to come and that she had previously supported other moms going through what I was. She ended up texting me all day when I got to the hospital checking in on me and was the support I didn’t have when I needed it the most. Any question I had she had an answer for and was very knowledgeable and sympathetic about what I was going through. I ended up calling her very last minute when I was in active labor and she ended up coming at 11:30 at night and from the moment she got there she was just such a comfort and help to me. Anything I needed she took care of and she was so understanding and kind. She even advocated for me making suggestions about things when I couldn’t. She was so reassuring to me when I felt like I just couldn’t do it anymore and she always had a trick up her sleeve to help with labor. After my daughter was born I was nervous to hold her and Maegan so sweetly explained her features to me before I held her so that I knew what to expect. She even was thoughtful enough to make my daughter a little dress and hat out of a newborn hat so she would have something to wear because of how small she was. Honestly, I don’t know how well I would’ve faired the situation without her. Something like this is not usually something you think about happening to you when you get pregnant but to have a doula/photographer who is experienced and treats you with dignity and kindness if it does is absolutely priceless. The photos she gave to me are something I will treasure forever. They are the only thing I have left of my daughter from that day and were beautifully done and have been my saving grace through this. Knowing I can always see her in the photos Maegan gave us have given me comfort more times than I can count. She has stayed in touch with me for months now since I had my daughter and I’m blessed to say we are now friends. When we decide to try again soon I know exactly who I want to be there to help me bring our next baby into this world! ❤️

FTM mom here and I started looking for a doula really early because we were trying to gather all expenses and secure everything so that we could plan. Maegan was BY FAR the best decision we made. She was our doula and also birth photographer and I can say with full certainty that I would not have wanted anyone else at my birth to support me or do my photos. When we met her, we discussed how she was a hypnodoula also and that I wanted to do Hypnobabies. With COVID, there were no more live classes so we settled for the online class. It was tedious and time consuming and I would even say that at the beginning of my 3.5 day labor -- doing hypnobabies alone by listening to the tracks was not working for me. When we arrived at the birth center, Maegan came shortly after (after having 3 births in 3 days prior to mine) and looking back on our experience, she was able to keep me in hypnosis for all 16+ hours that I was at the birth center.She is calm, and gently but also willing to be talkative and silly during labor, if thats what you want (which I did, at times). She knew exactly how to read me, what cues to give, and what kind of encouragement I needed. She guided my husband SO well and also helped him be confident in being my support person.The photos she took make me cry every time I look at them. Getting birth photos done wasnt really on my radar but I could not be happier that we did...theyre so special.We will FOREVEVER be so grateful for Maegan and her amazing work! We love you!!

Maegan performs both doula and birth photographer roles simultaneously and effortlessly. We hired Maegan as the doula and birth photographer for our second child’s birth. I was planning a Hypnobabies birth, and it was the first Maegan had ever participated in, so she went above and beyond to learn EVERYTHING she could about Hypnobabies so that she could support my husband and I during our birthing time.She has such a keen eye for amazing photography shots, and captured moments during our birth that are simply breathtaking. Our birth photos are so treasured and irreplaceable because of the magic and energy she caught in so many of the shots.She is such a joy to work with! She is the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness, attentiveness and lightheartedness, assertiveness and relaxed energy in the birthing space. She was very intentional, during our pre-birth meetings, and asked lots of questions so that she could better perceive our needs, and support us in the ways WE wanted during the birthing process. She was able to be the voice of reason, experience, support and feminine energy in my birthing space. She gave my husband many suggestions for ways he could help me at different stages of labor, didn’t hesitate to speak up to the hospital staff regarding our specific birth plan requests, and genuinely celebrated with us after we achieved the unmedicated water birth we had been hoping and preparing for.She never ceased being the encouragement that I needed while pregnant, during labor, and even postpartum, when she asked about and perceived my own postpartum emotions, mental state and needs.We love Maegan so much that we didn’t hesitate to hire her for the birth of our third child (another successful Hypnobabies waterbirth), and multiple photo sessions in between. For all of these reasons, I would never hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking birth photography and doula care.

My wife and I chose Maegan to be our doula for the birth of our 2nd child (1st in Atlanta). Part of our decision was based on the fact that she also offers photography services, and we definitely didn’t want to make the mistake of not having as many day-of pictures as possible this time around. And even though it wasn’t our only decision factor (she’s a wonderful doula by the way), Maegan’s photography work was fantastic! She was able to capture so many of the little moments that we’d never remember on our own -- all without being intrusive or distracting. And she even stayed hours after the birth to make sure we got a few shots of “big brother” meeting “baby sister”, which we’ll always treasure!

Maegan Hall is an incredible photographer - thats worth 5 stars to begin with. But more than that, she is a wonderful person to work with (Im a videographer). She is fun-loving, congenial, and she makes you feel at home wherever you are. If I have another baby, Im hiring her for my birthing video (and possiby doula services too!).
