Visited the shop today they treated me with respect and courtesy. Spent a lot of time showing me around. Really impressive restorations. They have a lot of classic bikes and it’s worth your time just to take a look. I will use their services in the future.
I had completed a good bit of the restoration myself but could not fully resolve some electrical and fuel problems. AMW did a through assessment, gave me a line item list of their recommendations and then let me choose what I wanted them to work on. When I picked up the CB350 they thoroughly went over the work with me and made sure I was satisfied. Although I could not afford everything they recommended, I would without hesitation take the bike back to them to have the work completed. Easy to work with, knowledgable, transparent, and great customer service.
Visited these guys during their open house and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I spoke to them earlier in the year at a motorcycle show at the Cobb convention center and already had high expectations for them after that. This visit to their shop solidified my opinion of them: these guys are awesome.
I visited them years ago..The guys did an awesome job fixing my moped after i crashed into a curve. The front was twisted. The price was right and did not feel like i was overcharged and they fixed it in a timely manner.
Brought my three vintage Honda CT 70s to AMW and they did an awesome job for me. Just a pleasure to deal with. Thx to Joe, Jason and the whole crew.
Unbelievably good people. I was passing through and had a problem that required a ‘better than average’ mechanic. When I called, they told me they were 3 – 4 weeks backed up. After I explained my problem, they offered that if I brought my bike by, they’d look at it and see what might be done. They found a way to squeeze me in, did an excellent job repairing my bike, and did it for a very reasonable price. Afterward, I was telling my story to a couple of locals and they simply stated: “they’re well known around here for doing some great work”.What more can I say? Well, I’ll tell ya! Just looking around their shop was fun. They had some really cool bikes in the shop, and from what I could see, they do some outstanding restorations and have the ability to do highly specialized fabrications. While they specialize in older Japanese bikes, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring anything to them.
Fast service over the phone but they didn’t have the part I needed.
They can do better ...
These guys are great! Very professional shop with incredible customer service.
Very nice and found parts for my bike that no one else has been able to.
Really cool shop if your thing is older Japanese bikes, and mine is! Repairing a rusty old gas tank for me now so well see how good they are once the repair is completed. They came highly recommended so I am sure it will be great.
I called in today I had a couple questions and a gentleman picked up but it’s super helpful he did not know the answer to a question but he researched and got back to me right away they do excellent work I would recommend anybody and everybody to just visit their shop you will be happy
Revamped our old dirt bike and did a great job
Had my first experience with the guys at the shop today and it couldn’t have gone better. They were able to accommodate a last minute request that got me up and running, and did it in record time.Super helpful, clean shop, everything was explained clearly and there was no pressure or up-selling.I will definitely be back.
Cool motorcycle shop. Old bikes that looked like new.
Was told one estimate over the phone after I payed to have my bike towed to the shop the estimate doubled.
Awesome place, good people
I needed help finding some parts for my bike that were seemingly impossible to get or find online and Jason was a huge help!
They do great work, even if it can take a little time. Skills to work on all parts of a bike.
Amazing shop and staff!!
These guys know vintage bikes. Had a bad electrical issue with a 78 CB750 back when I knew nothing about bikes. Towed it up to these guys after a recommendation and they got it running better than ever in a pretty reasonable time. They were proactive about keeping me updated and all around great to deal with. Also had the fortune of meeting one of their mechanics a few weeks ago who helped me diagnose some other issues, free of charge. He urged me to try my hand at fixing it myself before bringing it in and with his advice, I got my problem resolved.Great shop for your vintage bikes.
Great place to go. Good guys work there
Its been a while but these guys did a great job in my 1974 Kawasaki G4TR when I rebuilt that thing from scratch but could not get the carb straight. Thanks for the great job! Ill be seeing you guys again real soon.
Jason and his team do excellent work. Brought it a 74 CL360 that needed to be rejetted/tuned after some upgrades - had it back in 2 days, ran like new. Had other work done since - new ignition, tune-ups - offered solid advice for fork upgrades, then installed correctly. Taking them a 76 CB550 shortly. Anyway, would recommend for vintage bikes - glad these guys are in GA.
I needed a key made and they didnt have time
I brought in a rough running, overheated, dry rotted 1991 Honda ST1100 and asked if they could make it a viable bike for my son to ride to and from college. They took the bike and after a few days to break it down and see what needed to be done, they gave me a pick list of items that could stand repair. I chose the ones that were recommended by the tech and had him go ahead with the repairs. He cleaned and synced the carbs, replaced the front fork seals, new brakes, replaced the throttle cable and a few more items that escape me. Its been 6 months since the work was done and the bike rides like a dream. Solid work, honest work and fair prices. The attention to detail is what I credit them the most. They do a great job!
These dudes are awesome, they got my 67 Black Bomber running like a champ . Quick turnaround, reasonably priced, the whole nine yards. These are the only dudes in GA Id trust with my vintage bike !
I had a great experience. Fair prices with great customer service. I will not go anywhere else for work.
I bought a vintage Suzuki in great condition and selected this shop to do a tune up and tire change since they claim to specialize in classic Japanese bikes. They informed me that I needed a new petcock so they changed it for me. When I got home(about an hour away) I noticed a strong gas odor and saw drops of gas dripping from the petcock bolts. The tires also felt like they werent balanced and closer inspection showed that the weights on the wheels were the original ones and hadnt been moved. I called the shop and told them this and they recommended bringing the bike back in. With my work schedule, it isnt easy to arrange rides and time off to do this so I just tightened the petcock bolts(which stopped the leak) and figured Id bring the bike in to balance the tires when I had a chance. I didnt have time to ride for a few weeks so last weekend I was finally able to get out on the road. I got about 15 miles out of town on a windy road and had a sudden flat. Luckily I didnt wreck but I was stranded for about 1.5 hours while a tow truck was able to find me and my insurance only provided a tow within 40 miles which excludes Atlanta Motorcycle Works. I had the bike towed to a shop closer to my area and when they looked at the tires they noticed that the issue wasnt with the tires, but rather the valve stem was incorrectly installed. When I contacted Atlanta Motorcycle Works telling them this, their initial reaction was, We arent paying for anyone elses work. Considering I spent around $500 for a tune up and tires(purchased elsewhere) installed and I came back with a leaky petcock, unbalanced tires and, apparently, tires that could fail at any minute, I was looking more for a refund for the tire installation that put my life in jeopardy. Jason was very attentive to my situation and handled it as promptly as possible, contacting the owner. I was told that they did not install valve stem seals on my bike which is NOT their standard practice. And also that they would rather hold onto their policy of only guaranteeing their work if they can do follow up repairs themselves. I informed them that the RIGHT thing to do would be to come to some agreement about reimbursement for a job poorly done that Im now having to pay another shop to do. Acknowledging this, they still said they wont reimburse me. Finally, I was offered a free oil change any time Im in the area but considering the lack of attention to detail in tightening the petcock, not balancing the tires and improperly installing a valve stem, I dont think Id trust them with my bike again. It may be their policy, but its my safety.
Fantastic attention to detail in their work. As a grease monkey myself, I’m pretty particular about who works on my bike(s). Lane did an amazing job getting my EXUP breathing again and walking me though the work performed.I love the asthetics of the place. If I owned a vintage bike shop, it would look just like AMW.
Awesome shop, it was a Dreamland walking inside. They do awesome work!
Incredible client service...Professional... Knowledgeable...Willing to discuss repair in great detail...Repair completed by quoted completion date!
Just finished putting the new tires back on my 82 Suzukimatic GS450 and Im very pleased. Jason was clear and very reasonable on price. Thr bike runs great and looks awesome! I would highly recommend them!
Great shop. Very knowledgeable.
Good bunch of guys and knowledgeable
4-5 years ago i bought an old 77 honda cb750a hondamatic with the intentions on building a cafe racer out of it. I took it to a shop back home, buffalo choppers, and needless to say to make a long story short i got ripped off big time!!!!!! So i shopped around and found ATLANTA MOTORCYCLE WORKS, and when i talked to nate we went through a complex list of my needs, step by step, and was given a very reasonable price for the work that needed to be done. the quality of work superceeded my expectations. I just picked the bike up yesterday and when i fired it up back home, the engine felt like i was starting up a 2018 honda, you could feel the power with every twist of the throttle. The customer service and second to none quality of work i recieved was beyond anything i could of imagined. I want to thank the guys at ATLANTA MOTORCYCLE WORKs and nate in particular who was there ever step of the way on my complex build. I look forward to working with these guys on my next build, i cant wait.
Great service and very helpful with questions I had regarding my bike. Looking forward to having more work done.
I purchased a bike from them, and it the fairest price for a quality bike. These guys are the real deal. After years of working with sketchy bike mechanics, these guys are the real deal.
