We are so thankful for Sylvan helping our child learn to read! Our child has special needs and was very resistant to reading, after years of attempts at home and school. Sylvan gave us hope and weve seen slow and steady progress since we started. Sylvan matched a teacher who truly enjoys our child (even on the difficult days) and has the skills to maintain engagement and adapt their learning system to the students needs. As another reviewer said, its worth every penny if you can afford it. As our child says: Its a nice bonus for my reading.

We needed a service out side of school that help support the development of reading and help our child grow in confidence with that skill. Over the last four months we have seen the evidence of growth and are happy with the service we are receiving.

We are overall happy with the services provided by Sylvan. We wanted to make sure our son was on pace with his classroom curriculum especially this year with distance/hybrid learning. I think Sylvan was helpful in providing him the assistance he needed.

Weve enjoyed the flexibility and ease of changing schedules when needed -- with this pandemic, weve had to make a few changes. Sylvan has been a life saver during the at home learning of the pandemic. From the initial meeting and assessment through the weekly lessons, they have been professional, helpful and great to work with. The center is clean and has covid protocols in place to keep my son safe. Monthly progress meetings keep us in the loop to his progress. My son looks forward to going in part due to their token/prize system. We toured another local tutoring center and the difference between them and Sylvan is night and day. Worth every penny.

Sylvan Learning of Woodbury is conveniently located to my home in E St. Paul. The director, Mariette, was extremely patient in listening to my concerns and going through what I should expect from the center to meet my goals. Financing the program was a concern for our family and the director went over the various payment methods that are available to families. I definitely felt that the director cared about my family. The atmosphere at the center was warm. The teachers present showed flexibility in working with a wide range of students .I strongly recommend this center for parents looking to keep their children on the right academic path.

This place is AMAZING!!! The confidence it has giving my daughter is unbelievable. During COVID and home schooling, Sylvan has provided so much support and supplementing her on line learning. Making a more peaceful home with extra help with school.

Great place. My son learned a lot.

Working as a Sylvan Teacher has made me a better teacher overall. The insights my fellow teachers and I have shared about students have made a huge difference in helping kids attain and maintain critical skills. I get to know how students learn so much better at Sylvan than I ever did in my classroom since I work with no more than 3 students at a time. I have seen first hand how quickly kids master new skills in reading and math. The Sylvan curriculum is excellent at breaking down important skills into manageable and attainable lessons designed for long term retention. I would highly recommend looking into our programs to see for yourself. I would also recommend teaching here. I have learned so much!

My son has ASD and ADHD and the staff was very accommodating to helping him learn to read. Finding ways to help him succeed and sharing their experiences with him with my wife and I. They take their time with him to make sure he is successful. He’s learned more in the two weeks here than a full month at school.

The results I have have seen have been incredible, in just few months students are mastering new skills and gaining confidence .

It is a very helping tutoring place my grades have jumped.

One on one attention is exactly what my son needs to achieve his goal of better understanding math and Sylvan is the right place for him to be! I wish we thought of this sooner.

Within three weeks of starting with Sylvan my son stopped bringing 3-4 hours of homework home every night, at the 4th grade level. He started bringing in only a page or two every couple of days and finishing it in 10-15 minutes and his grades went up. Academic frustrations gone, caught up and surpassed grade level in a very short period of time. Strongly recommend the Sylvan Woodbury facility to help your child catch up and advance.
