Scammers with bad cars, it is open for the public so that they can scam innocent people. Avoid at all cost unless you want to through your money on a car with major mechanical issues
Is a drive... obviously from cali...but at the right price is worth it.!. People are coolAnd have no complaints they only doing their job... easy and simple...go Fridays easier .
I cant say enough about the customer service at Bar None Auction especially Jamie he helped me above and beyond and I just wanted to say Thank you again! I made it home without any issues!
The Woodburn staff was friendly and helpful. The new facility is nice and clean. It was a good all around experience.
A little slow but thats to be expected. Very friendly.
Excellent service. Quick, efficient, friendly, helpful and careful.
They do a good job thanks everybody at the auction yard
I have 2 teen drivers that needed vehicles. We live in BFE and it has been tough to answer the question of how theyre supposed to earn money to buy cars. We are about 150 miles north of Portland, so I was skeptical when I first mulled it over. My husband and I finally decided that we would rather spend the money on 2 auction vehicles that we didnt see in person than one random overpriced Craigslist POS. Ill admit we were terrified while driving down to pay and pick up our wins. The suspense felt a bit like an episode of Catfish. We were expecting at best one truck that would need some work to become a daily driver and a project truck. What we thought would be the project is what I drove home from Portland with no issues. The other just needed a glovebox latch so the light wouldnt stay on and drain the battery, but we didnt know at the time, so it went home on the trailer.Unlike some reviewers I know that operational does not mean mechanically sound. I dont expect perfection. I expect to have to recharge AC, replace batteries and alternators, and even more. Between 2 trucks we only had to replace an alternator, a latch, and 2 headlamp assemblies to have ourselves 2 daily drivers that we arent afraid to put our children in. I dont think I could have gotten one truck on Craigslist for $2500 that I could say the same about. This is our new favorite auction and we will be returning. It is well worth the drive for us. Our kids can now get jobs thanks to Barnone. We couldnt be happier!!
Guys at the front gate were laid back. Helped me a few times load a few things.
I had a great experience. Looks like they have made a big change with the way they run things. Melissa ? Was super helpful and showed me the ropes. I will definitely be back!!!
Will NEVER return again! EVER! We have been attending these monthly auctions in Portland diligently every month and have dropped over $30,000 within the last 6 months alone. We went in today to scout out our options and make a game plan for the Friday auction, as always. My husband was looking over a vehicle and drove it in a small circle, returning it to it exact location and not being disrespectful or ripping around. He was promptly approached by a staff member that began yelling at him and threatening to have him banned from the auction grounds indefinitely. So he went into the office to discuss the issue. Then he was laughed at and patronized!!! Seriously?!!? This is how you thank your loyal customers and show them loyalty and appreciation?!!? If customers do something that is against the rules then there are many other, more reasonable ways to approach it. don’t be rude!
QUESTION, why is the same equipment sold at every auction. Same stuff that sold last month, the month before and for several months before. Who is buying this stuff and bringing it back for the next auction. I smell a big rat. It appears as though the auction is buying their own equipment back if it doesnt bring enough money. I have been watching the same semis, trailers, rollers, forklifts at this auction sell every month and turn up the next month. This is not an auction it is a retail dealer.
Auction is ran well and staff are great. Its the people who go that make it a less than a good experience. Its an auction people, you shouldnt be bidding up to near retail price for something you cant even put through its paces! Think about, 10 or 15% premium on your bid and document fees anywhere from $100-$250. Not to mention your efforts to get the vehicle in better shape. THINK!
These people strive to make the auction experience the best it could possibly be. From registration in the office to the very help yard staff. This is by far the most enjoyable auction Ive ever been to.The quality of equipment and cars, trucks, heavy equipment and general industrial items of all sorts. It has gotten by far better under the new management. Customer service is obviously something they really strive for. It is definetly NOT your typical public auction.Job well done Bar None Auction staff. You hsve made going to the auction a good experience again!!!
Great staff! Great inventory! The auction was exciting and fun. I got a great car for really cheap. I will definitely recommend to a friend!
It’s the great place for public to get best price on the cars I have purchased many cars here and made profits but you need to be there to ck the condition of the car start the car and ck the engine I won’t buy it on line unless I ck the car before I recommend, fun and money making place 👌
Terrible company they use employees to drive up bids then try to sell the following month over and over. So much for honesty, and judging by other reviews its been happening for a while now.
Bar None has great friendly staff and the auction moves well. 15% is a bit steep as a buyers premium but if I can buy right I can make money by factoring the fees as I bid. This place is always worth a look for a deal.
This place is awesome great buys and service, out in the yard ask for Keith he is most informative with his experience. Thank you for your great service . I will come again.
Car started and sounded great on preview Friday but Saturday after winning the auction the key was locked in the car and the engine had a very loud knocking noise. What Happened. Management wasnt helpful at all. The counter staff is great and friendly and very helpful
The staff in Portand Oregon was very helpful and great to deal with. They went out of their way to help me. Thanks for the good experience.
Bar None, from being welcomed at the gate, the bid spotters, auctioneers the awesome people in the office to the guy who lets you back out wonderful people.Item was not what I was Hopi g but I guess I should take more advantage of the preview DAYS. Im use to an hour before the auction at most other sales I attend.Bar None Auctions are my favorite in the PNW!!!
I bought a car over the internet with Bar None. The staff there said the car runs. It turns out the cars has a blown head gasket. I am out over $5000 now. Do not bid on any cars at Bar None unless you are comfortable loosing a whole bunch of money! Bar None are dishonest scammers!
Great auction, fair and nice people . Cars go for cheap good deals at every auction.
This place drives up the bids (price) think you can get a good deal at auction however... this place they drive up bids……
Good auction; clean, well run, excellent staff, efficient process. If you arent 100% confident in your ability to pre-inspect a vehicle then go and hire someone to look it over BEFORE you bid. Dont bid past your pre-decided limit. Enjoy the process!
Great place to work for and to come buy cars trucks just about anything you might need
Got it loaded fast
The Car I purchased had a rolled back odometer, every other car I looked at was in absolute disrepair, almost entirely lemons and people were bidding ridiculous prices for them. The price I paid would have been pretty much market value for the car I bought had I not been cheated on the mileage...
Bar None are champions because staff are helpful me when after auction. I tried start and guys really quick show up. The guy checked battery was good or bad. Other guy check engine was ok before I go to Minnesota.Thank to Yard manerger, jumper battery.Steven
You can get a good deals at bae none auction it is good idea to go to auction look at the cars before buying it I dont think is good idea to buy the car on line especially when it is announced ASIS. good staff good deals I have been going to this place for long time and very happy with the service.
Bought a $3,000 truck. By the time they added buyers premium, doc fees, internet convenience fees, etc. the bill came to $3,440. Thats an additional 15% you can expect to pay beyond what you bid. Im used to buyers premiums, but this is ridiculous. On top of that, when I paid the bill, I asked if the doc fee was for them transferring the title, to which the man at the desk replied yes. Two weeks later I get a signed title in the mail, which I then have to take to the DMV and pay another $90 to get it transferred. I guess the doc fee ($80) was for them putting it in an envelope and mailing it! I called and asked why I was told that they were going to transfer the title, and the lady said you were told wrong. Great customer service. In addition, most of the vehicles they sell are junk. No municipality vehicles here. Mostly high mile cars, many with CEL on. There are other auction sites in Portland and Chehalis with better cars from municipalities, and they dont fee you to death. Only good thing I can say is the auction was run fairly smoothly.
Overall a great experience. The rules are very spelled out and easy to understand. This auction is for higher mileage cars that may need some work. If you think you are buying a new car or an almost new car then you shouldnt come here. You come to this auction to get a great deal on a nice car. I have a great car that my entire family is extremely happy about and I got an amazing deal. I have seen many great cars go for exceptional prices but every once in awhile a not so great car goes for more than a bad deal. I expect this though because it is an auction and the excitement can sometimes overcome you. I would recommend going on the day of the auction because it is a waste of a day to go prior. You can search craigslist and they give you pretty good pictures. Download the app and have it ready when you start bidding. Use the app because it is very useful. I am not a pro, but be open and take what the auction gives you. So far trucks have sold for a lot more than I would ever spend but I have seen others sell for amazing deals.I have personally worked with Bill and several time with Vitally over the past week and I have found them to be professional and Vitally is exceptional to say the least. He helped me out on two occasions and never broke a smile. Bill treated my children, my wife and me with kindness and professionalism. I have enjoyed my experience and my boys love going to the auction. As I said in the beginning of my review, the rules are spelled out and make sure you read them and understand them. Go for a great deal and have a fun time interacting in the auction.
Great place for used cars and trucks
Beware the worst kind of owner. The truck online was said to be opperationable. I had called to ask if it ran and how drove, they said if not written non opp then it drove. I get there pay for it go to get it and the mechanic of lot said he never had running and other guy there said same so two people knew was never opperationable then go to office ask why the did not put non opp he said the didnt know but could never look in eyes and say it. I got my own mechanic and had towed to shop to find that the piston shot though whole block and needed all new engine. Do not buy from them shady as they come
After setting my highest limit on a John Deere Gator, way ahead of the auction, I thought that I may or may not get the UTV. During the day of the auction I was watching live stream via the internet and I was also on the auction website. When it finally was time for the JD to be auctioned, the bidding started at $2000 and quickly climbed to $3000. The auctioneer called fair warning and sold for $3000, which is what my top limit was. Good I thought, I got a decent deal. No more than 10 seconds later the auctioneer pauses.....says nope, wait, looks like $3250 wins the auction. Offers no fair warning and just moves on to the next item. Even if I had wanted to raise my bid, it was to late. I believe that once you call and item as sold, it is just that, sold. I sent an e-mail to Barnone, with no response. I have to believe that the people posting 5 stars on here are just employees of the company. Yelp offers some good reading about how these guys scam customers. I will not be shopping with them again. Buyer beware.
This place has so many people that try to bid on stuff so you cant really get a good deal, almost everything ends up selling for wayy more than it should, i dont see why people even bother! When you try to inspect the cars the day of the auction most of them wont start/have dead batteries. The three vehicles that i purchased had dead batteries so the odometers werent visible until you the dash lights were on/accessories on in the cars and the total mileage for all three cars combined was over 650k miles!! And the cars werent cheap either..i ended up losing money on the only one ive sold so far. And one of them still wont run after countless days working on it.
Great place to buy a car . online was eazy to navigate .
Great staff, they really go the extra mile to help out!!!! By far my favorite auction to buy from.
I bought a car online went down to pay for it stood in line for 2 hours before getting to pay took the car home decided to wait a week before working on it then I get a call from them they dont have a title and want the car back then I waited over 2 weeks to get my check I guess at least I got my money back they should have paid me for the day I wasted
Warning to potential buyers:. Theyll sell anything here. Anyone who wants to get rid of their broken junk can bring it here and it will be sold with no warranty. Buyer beware. No refunds. I made the mistake of buying here and will never do it again.
So far so good. Thanks.
We buy mainly vehicles and equipment. Weve only bought a few from Bar None but I would never work with them again. Very rude and unprofessional.
Awesome staff and great facilities!
Read the one star reviews.
Awful, rip you off
Bad, bad service worst experience ever.
Huge Auction and people are very professional
