From beginning to end Sam made the rather complex and painful process of remediating the Vermiculite from our attic as smooth as possible. From the original estimate, to testing, to getting underway, at every stage he was quick to respond to requests for information, and flexible regarding our needs. He stepped us through the application process for submitting to the Trust and supplied us with all necessary documentation. Sam will treat you right, do an amazing job, answer all your questions along the way, and if needed go the extra mile to ensure your home is safe for years to come. If you have asbestos or vermiculite that needs to go, I couldnt recommend them more.

I am typically a DIY guy, but in this case, it is not worth it!Seeing what they can do, very professional, efficient, clean and very fast. Sam responded immediately and came out on a Saturday to give us a free quote following our home inspection. After the inspection, we received an emailed quote the following business day. When we purchased our home, Sams team came out and performed excellent work. They were in and out in two days with no mess left behind - even though one of the days it was pouring rain. The team was careful to protect the floors and windows of our almost 200 year old home. The job came in under the quoted price, and even though it ended up being a little more work than anticipated, Sam honored his initial quoted price. Vermiculite insulation is a nasty business. It’s found in the attics of many older homes, and most of it contains loose asbestos fibers, which can be very bad for your health. I did research and went through the testing process for W.R. Grace’s Zonolite Trust. They manufactured most of the vermiculite, which was taken from an asbestos contaminated mine, and they help you pay for abatement if it turns out it’s theirs.When I finally got around to taking care of this horrible problem, so I could comfortably use my attic without having to wear a HAZMAT suit, I called Dudley Services. By this time, I thought I was the leading vermiculite expert, but Sam from Dudley Services amazed me with his knowledge. This company knew what they were doing and could navigate all the required procedures and paperwork. They were also reasonably priced, as these things go.The guys from Dudley Services were AMAZING — especially Sammy (?), the foreman. He explained everything they were doing and was very nice and professional (as was the rest of his team). They were meticulous in setting up the elaborate work area, ensuring that I could safely stay in my house while they worked with their powerful HEPA vacuums. They arrived promptly each morning, answered all my questions and did a great job!The attic is pristine, all vermiculite and old fiberglass insulation gone, and they even got rid of a few dead mice that were up there, for which Im eternally grateful. They did a superb cleanup afterwards. The independent air quality guy came while I had run out to the store, but he did his thing, they got the all-clear, and packed up all their gear. Sammy took before and after photos to submit to the W.R. Grace ZAI Zonolite Trust, as they help people go through the process of getting the rebate check (though it’s quite easy to do on their website).It’s an upsetting thing to have to go through, but it couldn’t have gone more smoothly.
