My husband just came back from a 5 day program and it had been more effective then any of the counseling that he had gone to prior to this. He has tried other therapist and nothing has worked better then this. This is worth the time and investment to do- I highly recommend it. It’s like having months of therapy put into 5 days. They also help you follow up with contacts after you are home- which is a tremendous help as well.

Beth Traynor is an incredibly gifted therapist and there is no place like Choices. If you are ready to change your life or help someone you love change theirs this is the place to go. I have known Beth for many years and have seen miracles of healing and transformation in so many lives including mine and others who are very close to me for which I am forever grateful. Choices is progressive in treating all types of addictions and has a very strong recovery based community that supports and gives back to newcomers. I received so much guidance and hope from the women who had long term recovery. I have so much freedom and happiness in my life today and owe it all to my therapist in Baltimore and the work I did at Choices over the years.

By far the best treatment center of its type in the country, and we looked around. It’s not like a re-hab, but an outpatient center. You live in the real world. If you are from out of town, they find places to live in the area. It was a lifesaver for me and my family. We’re all sober and living fulfilling lives after ending treatment. The long-term approach gave us really strong recovery and we grew emotionally and spiritually as well. Plus, because we were all involved, we now have great relationships as a family.It gave us our lives back.

Beth Traynor is incredibly talented at working with families dealing with addiction. The entire Choices team is professional, caring and supportive. The help I have received from Beth and the other counselors at Choices has changed my life and helped me to heal my most important relationships.

This program saved my daughters life. Treatment is holistic and comprehensive. As a Certified Addictions Nurse, I am well aware of the need for long-term support if one hopes to stay clean and sober and retain the skills necessary to live a happy and producive life. Choices provides this on-going support in a structured recovery community.

My mother put me in this place when I was 16. She was naive enough to let them keep me for almost 9 months. This place is UNSAFE for a young man or woman to be. Its been almost 15 years since I was an impatient at choices. Please do not send your child to this place. I would like to stress that this place is unsafe and I mean unsafe.

I have attended weekend therapy sessions at Choices in Winter Park, FL a few times since 2014 and found them to be very eye-opening and life-changing. Beth Traynor is an expert therapist with keen insights, and she uses psychodrama to achieve amazing results. I also attended a four-day retreat/workshop for women in June 2017 that was led by Beth Traynor in Towson, MD. We focused on issues with food, and most of us were inspired to make significant changes in the way we eat. One of Beths many strengths is that she fosters strong bonds among the group members so we have continued to be a source of support for each other. I am 23 pounds lighter, and much happier!

This CULT is alive and well. Search for Choices Counseling Center and cult and hear directly from DOZENS of others who were victimized by this very dangerous organization. I was accosted by a Choices cult member recently within seconds (not minutes) of the close of an O.A. meeting in Baltimore, where they have been known to recruit from within the self-help group. This Choices cult member could not have cared less about my emotional or mental health reasons for being at an O.A. meeting, but instead began debating bad online reviews and how they have been a Choices cult devotee for 20 years. I escaped from the grip of Choices in Florida 10 years ago only to find that even 1,000 miles away and a decade later I cant fully escape. The scary-movie clown smile of this person literally chilled me to the bone. O.A. should examine the charter of Baltimore O.A. as it is obviously being used as a recruiting farm for the cult. I implore you to do your research on this very sick organization, then find an accredited mental health facility staffed with real doctors with real health care. As has been written earlier, RUN, dont walk from this cult.

This place is the best counseling center, it helped me with a lot of problems in my life but people here made it much easier for me to cope with them.

Anyone who sends a child to this cult should be charged with child abuse. Two of the reviews were by people in Baltimore, where Choices has a satellite office to recruit and monitor those locally, and three from Florida. It was likely cult leader Beth Traynor contacting each one and directing them to put a 5-star review. Knowing what I know about Choices and Beth Traynor, you can bet your house and your first-born child that Beth Traynor directed them to post the reviews. ANYWAY, MY ORIGINAL REVIEW POSTED SEVERAL YEARS AGO FOLLOWS (despite the recent post date...it changed when I got my new phone and updated my Google account): Do not walk. RUN away from this cult as fast as you can. There is an entire community of people and families who have turned their finances and their lives over to Beth Traynor. She has control over her cult devotees in the same manner as David Koresh and Jim Jones, but on a much smaller level. Notice how the reviews all talk about HER and not the doctors and mental health counselors there? Thats because there arent any!!! Its only cult leader Beth Traynor and her staff. He mother was not as active when I was there, but Beth is the epitomy of an evil narcissist masquerading as a mental health professional. I could spend hours and days explaining my experiences there, but suffice it to say this is absolutely, 100%, positively a CULT. There is a reason why there are no doctors affiliated with this sick place and why they have been investigated so many times by the Florida Dept of Mental Health...I wonder who is getting paid off to not be shut down. No credible doctor would EVER send anyone there. At first I was ordered to hand my wallet and my money over to my roommate (they get around inpatient laws by forcing you to stay in a local hotel run by Choices operatives), who I later found out was basically a handler whose job was to keep me in line and report if I was not drinking the Kool Aid. I witnessed intimidation and restraint of patients by fellow patients. I witnessed entire families who had moved completely to Florida to be under Beths control, where the parents lived in separate houses as well as the children, and only allowed to be together under Beths direct supervision; parents were not allowed to visit or discipline their children without Beths approval. Husbands and wives were only allowed to be intimate if Beth approved in advance, and that was very rare. The group (patients) held down one of the sons and forcibly cut his hair and fingernails, while the parents stood by like brainwashed zombies. Very scary and likely very illegal. Luckily for me I was able to see the truth relatively quickly and they immediately refunded my money because they knew that I was aware of the truth. The LAST thing they want is a person who does not fall under their control to go to authorities or media. Save yourself now; turn and run from Nurse Ratchet and the Cuckoos Nest.
