I recently was bidding on an item online via absentee bidding. They called me to tell me they couldn’t charge my card with the full amount which I didn’t want to. Planned on paying cash. The website said they hold a value of a dollar until payment due. I missed the call, called back three minutes later. Told item was sold. First call was at 1:19. Lost a customer

DJH, in response to your issue. Online PRE-bidding is what you were doing. The LIVE auction begins at 1 p.m. and your bid goes to LIVE. If you win the bid, your card is charged at THAT time. If the card is DECLINED, then the item is taken right back out to the LIVE auction where your bid is then disregarded. This is what happened to your bid.

We used NC Auction House for our estate sale. Very professional crew that assisted with having our items moved to their site for auction. We have never done an auction before and were nervous going in but Nancy and Zach answered all of our questions. At the end of the day, we are happy with the outcome and are using them for a second round of auction items in the near future.

Great place for good deals on Auction day

I was disappointed that the auction house did not require their employees to wear masks. Perhaps they are unaware that North Carolina has a mandatory requirement that everyone wear a mask in public places. We left early becsuse we did not feel safe.

Weve had a great experience with Zach and he made it so easy to get our stuff out of the house and on to auction! We got A LOT of our stuff out of our garage and 90+% of it sold! The thing I learned is to be realistic about what things are worth. The other choice we had was to tediously, individually try to sell our things ourselves online - too overwhelming and wed held onto it long enough! We are very satisfied with the choice we made!

Great people, clean auction house. Auctioneer Steven Cates is the best around and the most honest one around. He went way over and beyond and sold my fathersestate items and I did very well. Very pleased with what they did for me. Will definitely spread the word for you guys. Again THANK YOU!!!

Very responsive and knowledgeable about the Auction scene. They handled my late fathers estate pieces with great ease, and the process was easy to follow. I highly recommend using them for artwork (framed and unframed), antique signage, comics and more.Steve was terrific!

Im impressed with this auction house. The auctioneer is very friendly and is the best Ive heard. Ive met him out doing storage auctions and he informed me about the auction house so my wife and I went by and enjoyed it. This place is clean and the staff is just friendly to everyone. There are so many auctioneers out there but only a few I will do business with or trust. Steven Cates at Carolina Auction House is one I trust. The man is honest, hardworking and strives to get you top dollar for your assets. He knows his most valuable asset is his reputation and he will shoot you straight. Steven is a “good ole boy” unlike some of these other “auctioneers” who lie and act like they know what they are doing....they are phony...Steven is the real deal.

What a joke of auctioneers that are now there, missed bids 3 times and auctioneer was rude about it. Please bring back the other auctioneer, not sure of his name, want be back ever again till you bring him back. Auction guys on the floor was all over the place and confused the customers on what they were selling. Be cautious before going.

I am opening a new Spa and I need some very specific pieces that has a French Provential Look.I was very amazed that I found most of what I needed at a great price. The auctioneer Steven Cates was absolutely accommodating and professional A class at this business.I have referred several people sinse.

I have been able to purchase great items from them at very good prices. I will always go to them when I need to buy high end items at a very low price.

I recently participated in an auction through the NCHIBID website, it was listed as an online absentee auction, with no other description. I bid I won numerous items, but a few days later received an invoice saying I did not win anything. I contacted the auction company and they said that I did not win anything either, although at the end of the auction there were numerous items highlighted in green as I won those bids. Carolina auction house, the one that ran that auction, was sent an email to verify and was told I also didn’t win without any other explanation and attempted a call to me while I was working. I sent another email asking for an explanation and never got one so I sent another email and another both being ignored. That place is not honorable or honest as they have not responded at all so I am telling everyone that reads that to not waste their time participating in an auction from that auction house because if they don’t make enough money off the bids, or another reason I do t know because they won’t email me back, I guess they dont want a paper trail, they will not honor the results of the auction. NCHIBID should be more attentive to the folks they allow to use their site to advertise their auctions because they have at least 1 that isn’t acting honestly, Carolina auction house.

Came here with my sister,after my mom had bought a bed frame for me. my sister fell in love with my bed. so i took her, and we both fell in love with this place! the furniture prices are the best. i will be coming back for any of my house needs.
