Great facility!! Need more competent referees. Leave their tempers out of their calls. The kids come to play a fair game and have fun.
Nice facility. But it really bothers me that I have to pay twice to allow my kid to play here. Teams pay to play in these tournaments, and then parents have to pay to watch. I would think that having a captive audience would generate more than enough income through the concession stand to avoid having to charge spectators for admission. None of the other facilities where our teams play have a spectator admission fee. This seems like price gouging. At minimum, charge less admission. Charging $8 to watch a 40 minute game seems excessive. How about $3?
Great facility, clean, well kept but employees wearing politically charged masks just ruined it. It’s youth sports leave politics out of it.Response to the owner - it was a referee. Politics are being drug into everything, no matter what your beliefs are the last place they belong is in youth sports. You have a great place and the staff are friendly and great to work with. I even chatted with the Ref in question for a minute after the game and he seemed to be a nice guy. I’d love to give your place a 5 star rating just tell me you’ve asked the staff not to bring politics on the court.
Fortunately we have played our last basketball tournament at power to play this past weekend! The competition was horrible if it were not for the referees there would have been big blow outs. But somehow referees kept certain teams in the game! This facility has 0 Diversity within the staff, teams, and referees! We were the only inner city team there. The owner of the facility Mike, showed his true colors once again and made me realize there is something definitely not quite right in Windsor! We had a parent thrown out for a third time for questioning the referee. Not once did he curse or yell at the referees. These referees and Mike are too sentimental and get into their feelings way too much. If you dont believe me just go look at the 10 pages of rules and regulations pertaining to conduct .would not recommend this facility to anybody. The only reason why I gave it a single star Is that is the only way I could leave a review. So mike must be hovering over the person who responded or he wrote it himself. He was there because Mike the owner/ hall monitor felt like he needed to jump in and referee drip nations last game. Didnt think I recognized you mike? Your a clown. Further more notice how mike didnt respond to the fact that their is no diversity at power to play ? Your up mike!
Pour tournament management.——-Thanks for the response. My comment had nothing to do with the our assistant coach getting suspended. If he was out of line, more power to you for doing what you needed to do.My comment had everything to do with your complete failure in communicating the game schedule and poor staff handling of ever-changing schedule. I know you think you did an awesome job so nothing I’m going to say is going to change your mind of how great you are.
Theyre charging 20 dollars during a pandemic to watch our kids play online. We paid and got a receipt notification. Bank account charged. We go to try and watch and their horrible website doesnt even work. It says we didnt pay and have no access. What a way to rob people of their money during a pandemic p2p sports. Classy.Edit cause I got a reply. We looked over your poor website for a phone number for 30 minutes and found one phone number...which unsurprisingly nobody picked up when called. You want customers to call for assistance? Maybe pick up the phone.
Nice place but the mask were not enforced I sat beside a person that did not wear his mask the whole time he was there an boone said anything.
Im grateful to be able to coach during the pandemic following all the safety recommendations. Great facility with committed staff to provide the community a clean and affordable place to improve skills, play for fun or competitive tournaments.
Great sports (basketball) facility for youth sports in northern Colorado. 🏀
Very very nice facility!! Courts are very nice as well
Great facility. They do a great job balancing tournaments and schedules to ensure competitive games and the kids progress
Great fun thank Goodness we have these for kids that want to play
I am glad that there is a facility to allow kids to play sports. With that being said, it is very frustrating to know that almost every game will have poor officiating and several mistakes at the scorers tables. This past weekend, in two separate games the score was put on the wrong team and never corrected which should absolutely be caught when the book is reconciled. Many times it doesn’t seem like the person at the scorers table know the rules when it comes to clock management.
Great facility for basketball, volleyball, and other indoor sports. Clean, nice staff, great place overall!!
There should be a family/group rate and senior citizen discounts. The $8 per person charge is steep!!
The facility is really nice. The courts are well-kept and clean. They provide basketballs for the games. They have a lot of food options, albeit a little pricey. And they have numerous televisions in their lounge area with comfortable couches to watch sporting events. That being said, I have a number of suggestions:1) Put up some curtains between the courts. The whistles and buzzers from adjacent courts are frequently confusing for the players. I have seen numerous travel calls and double dribbles because a player though the whistle or buzzer had blown on their own court when it was actually an adjacent court. Curtains would provide a little bit of a buffer that i think would help.2) I know there is a tremendous focus on sportsmanship at P2P, but the refs dont seem like they are worried about sportsmanship. They seem like they are on a power trip. I have seen coaches given a technical for simply asking questions of the referee. I have seen parents thrown out of games for questioning referees. If a parent or coach is cursing at a ref, that is one thing, but when a someone complains to a referee, why is that unsportsmanlike? I saw a game once where a parent was thrown out of a game not for cursing out a ref, but for asking the ref to pay attention to the fouls on both ends of the court. And then because the parent was thrown out, their son was also told he couldnt finish the game. It was the last game of his 8th grade season, and because the referee was so insecure about his own abilities as a referee, that young man didnt get to finish out the last game before high school. If the referees paid as much attention to the game as they did to the fans, you would have a better product. Imagine if high school or college referees couldnt handle being booed when fans didnt like a call. If you cant handle it, find a different job.3) Stop asking parents to pay twice. We have to pay to get the teams into the league, and then we have to pay to watch them play. If i want to bring my whole family to watch my son play, it will cost me $16... every weekend... on top of what I paid to just let my son play in the first place.I think the Power 2 Play facility has incredible potential... but it still needs some fine tuning.
A bit pricey if you stay all day and walked in hungry. The meal deals could be way better. So I suggest bag some snacks or eat good before hand. The seating is also tight so bring your own chair if you hot 1.
Ive played many tournaments there and the staff are amazing people. Theyre always happy and willing to make your experience better. The quick snack shop is conveniently fast and always well stocked no matter how late the building is open... And having a Dunkin Donuts inside is just GENIUS! Its a great family experience as well. Absolutely love it. Theyve done great work there and I cant see that changing.
Best sports center in Northern Colorado!
Kid at counter was on his phone, had no interest in assisting us as he probably thought we were regulars. First time visitors on a Thur night. We figured it out, not a big deal, but a Hello would have been nice. A visit on a busy weekend might change the score....Cool facility though. Clean, and big. Lots of customers using the facility. Like I said....first time customer.****UPDATE****We visited again today for a basketball game and your 3 employees up front were top-notch! So many customers coming in/out and they were polite, respectful and very efficient. Im raising the rating because I think I saw the A team this morning. Great job!
Great facility. Power 2 Play is the regions premiere competitive basketball facility. As an official I love how they have rooms for the officials now. I appreciate the staff and how they make unsure unruly fans do not take away from the athletes on the courts.
The accual center is pretty nice. It is very clean and organized. It has a Dunkin Donuts + Baskin Robins, nice couches, multiple T.Vs, 6 very open, well kept gyms, some tables, a kids area, an outdoor area, bathrooms, and an OK food stand that serves Chick-fil-a, pizza, nachos and other sacks and drinks. However, the events and clubs are very unorgonized and confusing. Not the teams that are formed by their own independent groups that just use the the gyms, but the things accually orgonized by the P2P company. If you can, I would recommend playing with an independently orgonized group that use the place for games. One youth team that is very, very nice is Rocky Mountain Fever, however, there are many others.
We travel from southwest Wyoming to Power 2 Play to watch our grandkids play. We dont have anything like this anywhere close to where we live. We love being able to come to a beautiful, safe facility to watch. We also enjoy being able to grab a quick bite to eat while there. We are happy to pay a small entry fee for such a great experience. Keep up the great work!
Great Basketball facility
This is a great place for Volleyball and basketball.
Nice Facility went to watch my nephew play a basketball tournament nice Courts nice and cool the employees were nice too
The staff is amazing and are very involved. Ive been playing at P2P since it first opened and they keep making changes that best suit the players and spectators.
$6 person, a bit pricey on top of what they charge a team to play. They got additional seating which is nice. Parking is crazy. But over all its a great facility.
Great faculty just wish it was closer to Denver
Love this gym! I have been coming here for years now and cant imagine going anywhere else. Plenty of equipment and space to sculpt the body that you are looking for.
No parking. The overflow parking is dirt, full of huge dips and no lighting. Just asking for someone to break an ankle. Score keepers dont know what theyre doing and add points to the wrong team. Overpriced concessions. You have to pay to see your kid play and theres no seating so more than likely youre paying to stand the entire game or games. No place for them to warm up or stretch. 2 minutes of warm up time and by the time the seats from the last game clear and everyone clears the court the refs are yelling at them to get the game going. Its amazing there arent more injuries during games since they cant even stretch anywhere.Update: funny how the response from the owner doesnt say anything about why kids arent given any warm up time.... and in your dirt parking lot which i walked through last night, i had to use the flashlight on my phone to see where i was going because there was no light.
Great place for hoops and volleyball !
Power2Play sports is an oasis for basketball and volleyball lovers. Super clean and all the associates are so friendly.
The facility was cold but the kids playing were good with it. Take a jacket. Even though you pay quite a bit for your athlete to play here you also have to pay to see them play. Not sure if I am ok with that.
If I had the option to rate a zero that would be my rating for Power 2 Play!!! The refs are so bad!! They have people keeping score that dont know how!! They cant even stop the clock and start the clock when they are suppose to!! And when you say anything when they are cheating your team out of points the ref comes over and says You Should Be Lucky Were Even Here!! They are so greedy!!
This a good, centrally located gym with six courts for basketball and can be converted for volleyball. Great place for club teams to play throughout the year. Generally girls and boys rotate weekends though occassionally both are playing on separate courts. To keep games moving there is a running clock which the officials dont seem to be aware of so if a team is smart they can pull a lot of time off the clock shooting free throws. Seating is somewhat limited and parking lots are usually full but it is a really nice place for kids (and there are adult leagues) to play.
Great place for youth
Great basketball venue. They do a good job with tournaments.
There are so many things that should be said about this place, and a good majority of them aren’t any good. Very nice facility, but it’s extremely obvious that this is a for profit business and nothing less!Review after review regarding over priced entry, food, and disrespectful staff. When you take a few minutes to read the owner’s responses, it’s extremely clear that they are defensive and refuse to listen to feedback. Almost every single response is chock full of passive aggressive comments to put the blame back of the parents or coaches. We fully understand that it’s your business and you have the right to run it how you want, and I for one am pretty confident that every single person who enters the building knows that they do not have to enter...pointing these things out to customers paying to support their kids is absolutely pointless by the ownership. Just proves the reviewers point. Youth sports is a multi billion dollar industry in the country, and places like this only fuel the expenses!Entry fees at high school and middle school games and events all go to cover the school district costs and specifically support our kids, but this seems to be used as justification for double charging parents and grandparents who have already paid for the kids to play here in the first place. This again has been brought up time and time again, but the owners continues to respond with the same argument that they are the cheapest (now $6/ person) which is absolutely not true since our family and friends have been to multiple games and facilities that have zero entry fees. It’s a very similar tactic to airlines charging for coach passengers for luggage or “preferred seating.”Then there is the absolute ridiculous issue of not paying score keepers and “asking” for volunteers to do it without any training or explanation at all. Instruction sheets do very little for volunteers that are forced to sit at the table with a minute or less before game time. These coaches and kids put in hours and hours of practice and preparation to play these games, and the job of the score keepers is critical to fair play. In a previous argumentative response by the owner to this issue simply states that they don’t want to pay someone minimum wage to do it, and having ADULT parents work for the facility instead fixed the problem. I personally have been forced to do this job without any explanation of their systems, and watched parents be told that games will not start until someone “steps up!”Come support your kids, be told to pay entry fee, and then work for free or the games won’t be played...crazy! I’ve even had the pleasure of working this table next to a few teenagers (not adults) who are yelling at players and adding to the ridiculousness of the so called voluntary role. To this point, the owner says that entry is free for these volunteers, but I guess I should go submit a refund request for multiple games where I’ve been “asked” to cover the table so the next game could start or forfeit the game. Might need to see how many of our other club parents want to join in these refund requests.
My goodness, I read some of the reviews and these people are ridiculous. I have known the owner mentioned for 15 years. Did you know he was an ordained minister and worked marrying two of my best friends? Donates time and his money to local charities involved special needs children, devoted to the Thompson School District here in Loveland/Windsor area? He has also coached thousands of kids over the past 28 years, many of them who are still in his life, helping pass on the kindness to others. He coached my niece this past spring and summer and she was never so happy and excited about basketball because of their programs! It seems people simply just dont know how to act, and living vicariously through their children and sports is the only way to be identified. Ive watched people act like idiots, and unfortunately, the staff at P2P have addressed it and escorted out of the building. I appreciate it, because I want to be safe. P2P Sports lives on the foundation of kindness, helping kids, leadership is fantastic. Hats off to Michael and his staff for all they do for our kids and community. We need more people devoted to kids, and families like P2P.
Gorgeous sparkling clean facility, amazing professional friendly staff and they got their priorities straight. P2P is THE place to be for pickleball, volleyball, basketball, baton twirling, indoor soccer, YOU NAME IT! Outstanding concession options for both the health conscious athlete and the I deserve this athlete. Beautiful, comfortable sports lounge surrounded by flat screen tvs. Easy access to the interstate, hotels and restaurants. They even have a Dunkin Donuts inside, free live stream and free parking!! Love love LOVE everything about this place.
They make you pay every time you go in the place to watch your own kid when you already paid for them to play. They took this away briefly, then brought it back. They also will put teams that shouldn’t go together, together if they don’t have enough teams and one gets badly beaten and the other has no competition.
It’s very clear the number one goal of this facility is to make money!! At any cost!! They over schedule and pack in as many people as possible in the least amount of time as possible. We just want to watch our kids play but come prepared to not find parking, probably won’t find a seat!! They also charge parents to watch their children play...They don’t even have space for the players to WARM UP before games!! Power to Play has the potential to be a great assest to the community and youth sports, but they need to re-evaluate their mission!!
Well run. Great facility. Michael is super attentive and responsive.
Faulty timer and a hot headed ref who wasnt able to remain calm in a high pressure situation. She made a hasty bad call and her temper made it impossible to properly consider the situation. The facility is nice overall and well organized but there has got to be a way to vet refs better and hold them to a higher standard for the sake of the kids.
The kids are playing their sports. Thanks P2P making this happen during these crazy times.
Great place to watch grandsons games. Free spectator admission unless there is a tournament. Comfortable seats and temperature. Waiting / common area is comfortable but usually overcrowded. Restroom capacity also small. Lots of screens broadcasting sports. Some tables and snack bar. Has a staffed front desk at entry. Personal basketballs & outside food not allowed. Patio area in back open in good weather
This is a place where organized teams get together for tournaments and play basketball and volleyball. The power to play teams practice here and the coaches also give private lessons here. There is a small shop to purchase shirts and other small items as well as a snack bar with muffins, chips, drinks and other items for breakfast and lunches. There are two outside eating areas although you are not allowed to bring in your own food.
I love P2P and I play here all of the time. Great place to have fun and get some games in! I really enjoy my time at P2P and like playing with my team! There is no reason to hate this place!
As a current head coach with Noco Hoops and Roosevelt High School girls basketball, i have had the opportunity to coach at Power to Play on numerous occasions. My experience as the head coach and the experience of my players and parents has always been exemplary. I have also been a head coach at the collegiate level where i have scouted players in various venues across the country and i must say that Power to Play Sports is second to none in terms of experience as a coach, player, parent and talent evaluator. Keep up the great work!!!
Good place, refs have a hard job. Never understood why I have to pay to see my kid after I all ready paid for them to play. Parking sucks be prepared to walk in dirt...
Just started in Power to Play this year looking for something more competitive. I dont have complaints about the facility, although prepare for it to be CRAMMED! Parking does stink especially in Colorado weather when you have to park and walk in the mud/snow.Ranking 2 stars because they are not investing in hired people to sit at the score tables to keep score. Instead, they are having volunteers keep score for games. That presents so many problems for several reasons. 1. The coaches are often left searching for a parent volunteer to keep score right before the game. 2. Often, these parents or volunteers havent been trained on using the score board equipment and you can see how that causes drama and issues. 3. They plop these volunteers, often parents from opposing teams in between both coaches from opposing teams, so often these score keepers feed into the intensity, and sometimes drama, of the game. 4. We have seen many cases where these volunteers forget to give points or change the possession arrow in favor of their team. Its impossible to have parents from each team be partial and fair every single time. 5. Almost every game weve played there one of the volunteers has got into it with a coach or with each other.Heres my thing. They have now hired Windsor Police to be at their facility yet the facility creates their own drama by skimping on hiring people to keep score...Youre having people pay to get in... Use $10 an hour to pay someone to sit there and keep score! Guarantee youll have less drama. Also, never seen the owner when weve been there, not once. Kind of interesting...
Great facility. Layout is good. Very well organized and well run. Frustrating that there is always a charge to see kids play in addition to what we pay for fees, but it is a great set up with lots of seating and concessions.
Nice venue. Seems like for $6 per person, it could be warmer inside. Everyone around us was freezing.
Thankful for this wonderful facility in our area! Clean and well run. As best I can see the only issues are with that many people coming in you are bound to have some bad apples. They handle it very well.
Lots of basketball courts and games going on. The staff handled every aspect well, considering things appeared to be chaotic with all the people, yet wasnt. Good job.
Nice place! Lots of parking. Theres a Duncan donuts inside. They serve Chick-fil-A and Inta juice at their concession stand. Plenty of couches for chilling between games, etc... Seems organized and well managed.
Excellent venue and for youth sports.
Nice
Thank you for responding, especially at 3am😂
Beautiful facility. Excellent equipment for both basketball and volleyball, very clean!
Best place to play basketball on the front range. Be prepared the adult league is extremely competitive.
My son loves it here. Good, dedicated coaches Im not sure why previous reviews state the owner is money hungry..Michael has been more than willing to work on payments with me so my son can play.
Awesome facility, but needs curtains between the courts. $2.25 For a small bag of fritoes wow!!!. Bathrooms become unsanitary real fast, need hourly cleaning with the volume on the weekends. Officiating is what is what is with good ones and ones that have no business being on the court with their obvious bias. Also make sure you know where kids are at all times because they wont hesitate to call the police.
They do a good job here, clean facility and decent refs. The price to get in went up to $6.
Great place for working on your game. Super friendly staff. My boys love to go here.
Nice place for basketball and volleyball tournaments. Great staff.
I was on the officiating side when coming to this facility but in my experience this place is top notch and the owner truly cares about everything, kids, reffs and the facility. Love that they help reffs get experience and work 3 man which is awesome practice for real season
Great facility, super organized and tournaments are great- outstanding staff as well!
Family oriented atmosphere...everyone just behaves themselves!
Great facility. Whether you play basketball or volleyball (or any other court game for that matter) the courts are top notch.
For some reason this shows up with my sons name. I am Jeff Marr from the Minnesota North Metro Blazers and we recently brought our boys team down to play in the P2P High School Camp. I have been involved in youth basketball for nearly 30 years, coaching teams, running AAU programs and tournaments, etc. This was the best experience I have ever had as a coach. We came all the way from Minnesota based upon the positive feedback we had received regarding Power2Play. Upon arrival, Michael Peterson (owner/operator) greeted our team as if hed known the kids for years. The effort he put in to make us feel welcomed and comfortable was absolutely unprecedented. He even took us on a tour of the area with the little spare time he had. As for the tournament, it could not possibly have been run more smoothly. It is very rare that I witness the owner of an operation like this running from court-to-court to assure that things continue to flow properly. As for the officiating, I truly have never had a better experience. I could easily tell that these official were all certified/experienced. We had 3 wins and 3 losses (a couple somewhat lopsided), so I am not your typical coach who only appreciates good officiating when we win. I was equally as impressed in losses as I was in victory. We have a great many opportunities to play in the Minneapolis area, but will make it a priority to get to Windsor, CO for what I consider the ULTIMATE experience. Out of curiosity, I read through some of the reviews (most of which are very positive). It is unfortunate, however, in the youth sports atmosphere that it is truly impossible to please some folks. I witnessed Michael handling a very disruptive parent/coach and can attest to the calm, poise and respectful attitude he displayed in dealing with the situation. Most places we play, we are fortunate if the owner even graces us with his/her presence, let alone handle just about every situation that comes up personally. I also noticed that Michael takes the time to reply to every single comment - either positive or negative. Keep up the great work!!!!! Hope to be back soon!!!!!
Our daughter had a club volleyball practice here and the facility was fantastic. The net folded down from the ceiling in no time at all and the sitting area for the parents was very comfortable. Wish all our practices were here!
Wonderful youth basketball leagues and great facility.
Our basketball team has been playing here for a couple of years and its an amazing facility, run by a great staff. Has awesome leagues for year round play and affordable prices!
Very poorly run. Because there is such a need to drain people of their money they over charge for everything. The talent is watered down. Anyone who thinks they can play now is on a “competitive” team. Basically a glorified Rec. League. If you want real competition come to denver. Refs. Can be horrible. Good refs won’t typically work here. Food is terrible and unhealthy considering food should be geared towards athletes comsidering you cannot bring food in. Way, way overpriced. I’ve seen too many athletes get hurt because some of these kids don’t know how to play real basketball. Cash cow.
Have to pay weekly to watch your own kid. Workers are inexperienced and rude. Snack shop is a rip off. No barrier between courts really affect hearing whistles in games. Side lot where Ive seen people get hurt and tool of an owner could care less. Just in it for the money but not the good of the kids.
WOW awesome clean facility, I dont know how they organize that many kids and games. Impressive!
No enough seating and they need to pave the back parking lot. Its not good walking through mud, oh well just walk in and track mud on the floor
Great facility for hoops in Northern Colorado. P2P has a snack bar but not many healthy options
Nice place for Tournaments. Could use some small bleachers and court dividers. Also, medals for winners not just T shirts.
Great venue for a day full of basketball games.
Beautiful facility but the guy that runs it is a tool and it shows in the staff around him. Better leadership would make this first class, but until then...just a nice facility.
I have three grandsons that play games there excellent venue
Really nice facility and well run.
Very nice facility. However received poor customer care when there was an issue.
We won both of our games
Great venue! Plenty parking, clean, and nearby restuarants!
Great place could use some seperation between courts as the girls sometimes think the whistles and buzzers are in their court. The owner, Michael Peterson, on the otherhand has a total lack of respect for his customers so to speak. Completley rude and disrespectful. Overall just a disgusting person with a power trip. Dont bother trying to ask any questions or express any concerns you have as he will shut you down in a rude power trip without even responding or acknowledging what you say. He needs some serious lessons about being a good business owner and person overall. Disgusting.
Amazing place to play ball, clean, well organized and nice staff. Long overdue to have in FC area.
Really nice facility but snacks and admission can make it pricey for a family.
It is a good place to play sports, but the food their is limtied in options.
P2play is s nice facility however Micheal Peterson, one of the owners, is very rude and angry. Don’t go anywhere near this guy. Disgusting human with no respect for his customers.
Great facility. Love the staff!
I nice place for kids to compete in basketball
Always done it right.
Nice place, but everything cost so much.
Snow day tournament didn’t shovel side walks in front very slippery and not safe!!! No parking available. Lot full. Street parking volunerable to cars slipping and hitting parked cars!!
