I had a appointment for 10am. My truck wasnt taken into the shop until 1pm and then I didnt get until after 3pm this was for an alinement. Alinement not done it needs parts but it would have nice if they would got in in on time, I get it that things happen but 3hr.

I came in for an Emissions test after Firestone in Enfield told me Id have to wait at least 90 minutes to get it done there! The test was effortless at Scatas. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, and I was even able to watch my car enter and exit the testing area with a screen they had up in the waiting room. I will be back there again!

Not a big fan of these guys, Anything they can do to put your car on the lift, when nothing is wrong with your vehicle and you go in for a simple emission and your vehicle passes at that! they will try to persuade you into that direction. They are about money and not the customer. they are way better humbling shops in windsor locks, windsor, bloomfield vicinity, pass on this one, fair warning guys.

Over priced I ended up paying over $600 for a 200-300 job max should’ve done my research but I needed my car done quick. didn’t know any better as a teenager . Oh well. The workers were friendly and the place was clean even though offered me a free ride home instead of waiting. But they definitely got me good.

I have 6 years previous experience working in a service department for a major car company. I have 8 years experience working for a tire wholesaler. Im no longer in the car business but took both my vehicles here for flats they not once have tried to pressure or upsell me. Instead they gave me an awesome quote and great service by squeezing me in. Also the first flat they actually repaired rather than selling me on a tire because it was a patchable tread puncture.Highly recommended. I love these guys and gal. Cant say that about too many repair shops I have been to. A++

We depend upon our cars so much...almost like our legs for walking that we dont even realize that when we dont have them how much trouble it truly can be. I drove down a bad road and quickly had two nails stuck in front tire and two in the back. I am so apprehensive of trying new places so I called my trusted places in which none of them could fix the same day. I have been going to Scatas for years for oil changes. I have never in my life taken my vehicles in for anything else, to them, or any mechanic shop. I dont trust shops. They charge too much and i worry they will be underhanded and break my vehicles to have them come back. Today i decided to take a chance with Scatas. Dan, a mechanic there came out and answered my many questions thoroughly and did not cut me short or rush me away. It was like talking to a trusted friend. He explained the issue i was having with my suburban and even offered to find a low cost option for me to save some money. That was the turning point in the conversation for me. He wasnt after every penny. I was also pleased to hear that my air conditioning was not in fact broken and would not be on the list of things to fix (an expensive job). He could have lied and made a lot of money off me, but he did not. They are keeping my truck overnight (for the issue i did bring it for) and even gave me a ride home. I cant explain enough how impressed i am

For a time, I went there, for car repairs. They had a genius for finding repairs that cost $500, somehow, but not really able to explain what they were for, but somehow they were so important they didnt want to release the car. Im a veteran, and I can feel when people are very uncomfortable with what theyre saying. I felt it there. I found another place to go. How does one do this? Go to a hardware store, and ask the oldest employee there where they go to get their car fixed. Get 2-3 answers, and youll know.

Great Service! I was on a business trip and dropped my truck off at an local off-airport parking lot, got a call from the parking lot that there was an issue with the brakes. Scata picked it up for free, fixed the issue quickly and returned the truck before I even got home. Ill probably consider getting more auto work done while Im traveling in the future.

I use them pretty often and for odd jobs. Theyve always taken care of me. Be it a nail in my tire, emissions testing, exhaust installation, swapping my snowblower tires. I couldnt recommend them enough. Its hard enough to find a mechanic that over time doesnt burn you. Their prices are very fair too.

Although the guys at Scatas were almost done for the day, they took mercy on me and repaired the car quickly and made sure I was safely back on the road. You either seems to love or hate this place. They are a bit pricey, but they are one of the few places that actually road test a vehicle after they repair it. I have always had good service here.

Expert and thorough service. Repairs stay fixed. And, although I have older cars, there is never collateral damage leading to additional repairs. Scatas has capabilities not found in many shops, so no job is too complex. Prices are on par with other shops.

Fast service for emissions.

Beware. Ive used them a couple of times with varying levels of satisfaction, but, after my latest experience, I surely wont be returning. I had a stripped oil pan bolt, so I brought my car in to have it replaced and get the oil changed. I brought in my own oil filter (which I had bought since I was planning to change the oil myself before realizing the bolt was stripped), and they agreed to use it. After finding that they did a number of things that I didnt request or need (rotated tires, topped off all fluid levels, inspected brake system, etc), the simple job ran me $83. That was annoying, but I was willing to let it go.After getting my car back, I soon realized that it was leaking oil at a rapid pace. It is an older car and it has leaked in the past, so I monitored the level for a couple of weeks and added oil when necessary. After concluding that the oil leak was much worse than ever before, we checked the oil pan bolt and found that it was loose and a cheap nylon washer had been used. After removing the washer, adding some Loctite, and tightening the bolt, the leak appears to be fixed.They are either (1) sloppy, or (2) deceitful. On the repair order, they recommended that I replace my valve cover gasket due to an oil leak. I can only hope that they didnt leave the oil pan bolt loose so it would leak oil and I would be more likely to come in for the repair. Regardless of whether it was a conscious decision or not, I wont be returning. Id suggest that you also steer clear.

Scatas Auto and Truck repair really saved the day yesterday when my car broke down in the pouring rain. Being unfamiliar with the area it was a shot in the dark to find a mechanic. I was so relieved to find Scatas - they were professional, clean and responsive. They had us towed, repaired and back on the road less than four hours after we broke down. Thank you so much.

I dont know how the service repair is, but I went there for emissions testing. I barely waited for him to take my car to the testing station. I was probably there a total of 15 minutes or so. So Im VERY pleased with the service I received!

These people are literal thieves. 1000$s to drop a new alternator in. Bought an alternator for 150 and had someone else drop it in for 50. Theyre out if their minds. They will upsell you and try to rob you of as much as they can. Stay away from this place its a joke

BEWARE!!!!I just want to start off by saying that I never write reviews but I felt it very necessary for this place. I have a co worker who gets there oil change at Scattas every 3k. The last time she went there they said her car needed a air filter, cabin filter and PCV valve. I told her that I would quote the parts from NAPA which is the same place they buy parts from. The total for the parts from NAPA was $56 for all 3. Also this job does not take more than 15-20 mins tops. When Scattas called her back and told her the total was going to be over $300 I couldn’t believe it. So I called Rollins Automotive right around the corner. They quoted me $105 for the same exact job. Please do your homework before ever taking your car here. This was the 4th horror story I’ve heard about this place. Please becareful going here and always get a second opinion.

Ive never had a faster road side assistance tow. I left and came back because i was told an hour by insurance. I got a call 5 minutes after i get off with insurance and he said 15 minutes. Couldnt get faster service and extremely polite!

Went for emmissions after a friend and i rebuilt truck. we forgot to bolt splash guard back in. i asked them to do it since i dont have a jack and didnt feel like crawling back under yet again. i was there maybe 30mins. they finished emission test, and then bolted back on for no charge. *just the 20 for test good people

This review is for a full synthetic oil change (dont forget about the tax & oil waste fee when cashing out), which included an overall look at my car and its brakes, which they call a 49-point inspection, I believe.I arrived early, they got started right away. I worked with Dan, who was recommended to me by a life time family friend. Scatas, in general, has also served other folks in my family. The whole appointment took a max of 40-ish minutes from arrival to departure. I even brought my pup with me and they loved him!He gave me some advice on how to take the best care of my car, as it checked out completely healthy so far despite being 8 years old, and I left afterwards with a mission to get fuel injector fluid (available right next door at NAPA, I purchased the seafoam brand).After my fuel injector treatment and the full synthetic oil change, my car has never sounded more smooth and quiet! Im able to increase speed much more quickly (handy when a**hole 18-wheelers casually cut you off in the merging lane on the highway).Dan was super nice and helpful, very friendly, and very fast!My total cost for a full synthetic came to about $85.

The technicians are talented but cars are not space shuttles.This place charges too much for repairs.

Not a good experience. They close at 1 on Saturday. Due to rain and traffic I got here later then I planned, about 3 minutes until 1 and the door was locked and they refused my business.

For emissions testing I made an appointment and arrived 5 minutes before my appointment. They had two other cars in front of me when I came in yet I waited over 50 minutes for them to start the emissions test on my car. No one there seems to care much about service.

A place that puts a brand new starter on a 20 year old vehicle is ridiculous. $500 for parts and labor. When asked about it the owner couldnt explain. Takes advantage of their women customers.
