Patio dining was great on a perfect evening. Good food and a good pint of Guinness.

Maybe their food is great, I dont know: I would love to be able to leave a 5 star review. However my friend and I sat down at the restaurant at 6 pm with no one else seated in our section. At 6:45 (45 minutes later) no one had taken our orders or even offered us water. 5 groups had come in after us, all had drinks, many had food. At 6:30 the hostess asked if we had been seen by our waiter and we told her no. She said she would let the waiter know so they could be over right away, and we still had no contact from anyone. Needless to say we left hungry.

The food was great, the service was so-so. We stopped in for a late lunch and ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and the Brew-BQ Burger. Both were delicious. My husband eats a lot of steak and cheese sandwiches but this was one of the best he’s had in our area. The burger was massive and the hamburger patty was thick, juicy and cooked to perfection. It was topped with pulled pork and crispy onions and I asked for extra BBQ sauce on the side. I highly recommend this burger to other meat lovers! It was stacked really high and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The server was not very communicative or friendly. I waited for a long time for my drink and watched her ignore me and walk all over helping other patrons after my husband had gotten his beverage. She eventually came to the table to tell me they were out of what I had asked for. I would’ve appreciated her letting me know sooner that she wasn’t sure if they had it and I would’ve asked for a water or soda in the meantime. We definitely plan on coming back though.

Absolutely delicious! Nice variety of seating options, felt safe and clean. Food took a bit longer than expected to arrive but was will worth the wait.Must gets: Pub Sticks & Sweet Potato FriesFood Review:- Pub Sticks (pretzel sticks): extremely soft with a honey mustard dip that makes mustard haters rejoice in its flavor (i.e. me...i hate mustard but this sauce was spectacular)- Turtle Burger: great burger, nice flavor, simple- Sweet Potato Fries: AMAZING! Soft interior with a crisp exterior and great flavor- Fries: really good thicker cut fries- Bar-Brew-Q burger: not bad, couldve had more bbq sauce, wouldnt get it againSide note: the pickle that comes with the burger is delicious...i love pickles but Im picky.

Yet again, this place decides to pick and choose when to be open and when not to. According to business hours, they are listed to be open until 11. 7:30 I get there with 2 other people only to be turned away with the we are short staffed and are closing. Really? There were a total of 6 customers on the front patio and none from what could be seen inside the restaurant. I would give the advice of calling before you venture here for food, but it would just be safer to believe they are closed because its a day that ends in y.

Came in after a long hike and were completely starving. Ordered the taco salad and pulled pork sandwich. Food came out in under 10 minutes so obviously isnt prepared fresh. It wasnt edible. The chicken was like leather and the pulled pork bun was soggy from sitting. The pub sticks were the only decent thing we ordered. Also- 8$ for a can of cider made right up the road. Waitress was sweet but food was horrible.

Service crew for the most part is disinterested in customers altogether, which is a surprise since that’s how they make their money. Felt like an imposition getting a drink from the bar. I officially met the world’s most unfriendly bartender- woman with short hair in the front. Acting like she hates the world. People want to come in and have fun, not feel like they are bothering the staff. There are lots of places in Winchester to grab food and a beer, next time I would go to one that actually acts like they want my business.

My family and I were in Winchester on vacation this weekend and we stopped by Brewbakers for lunch. It was a rather dreary day given the cold and rain that fell, but once we walked thru the doors, all changed. The staff was warm and welcoming and the decor was as well. Both served to alleviate the chill we were feeling from the weather. Upon being seated, I asked if we could be moved to the table by the fireplace that has just been vacated. Our waitress and the hostess both hustled to get it clean and ready and in no time we were seated. Our waitress was amazing, kind and attentive. We started out with a flight of beers for myself and one for my wife. Their beer selection was quite nice and we enjoyed our flights and then selected one out of them to enjoy in a full pint. The food came out quickly and was excellent. We took our time savoring the food, the fire and then dessert. All went so well that when we left, the rain has ceased and we like to think that our time there had something to do with it! Would go back in a heartbeat if it wasnt 4 hours from us!

We came in after 8 one night and they told us they quit serving at 8. So we planned to get there prior to 8. We arrived at 7:47 and they said they quit seating at 7:45. The sign clearly said 8 o’clock. So if they stop serving at a time earlier, don’t change it on a whim.

Service was great, food was good. Crab cakes looked great, but could have used some seasonings. Without the sauce that accompanied them they would have been blah. Pulled pork sandwich was good.

Very pleasant and accomodating server, food is fresh and very consistent, I had a Beyond Burger as I am mostly vegan.

We hosted a work event there today and it was amazing!! The staff were incredible, the food was great and we had the perfect space to meet, mingle and connect.

Husband and I stopped in for lunch and it took over an hour for us to get lunch. He ordered a burger that came out very well done, almost burnt. I got a crab cake sandwich which was also over cooked. It was very hard to get refills on our drinks thoughout the meal. It seemed like they were very short staffed and unless you were just getting drinks they didnt seemin a rush to serve you. My husband is not local to the area so we like to visit local restaurants, but we both were surprisingly disappointed.

Outstanding! We love this place and come every time were in town. The jerk salmon is fantastic. Great food and acoustic music in the front on some nights.

Great service here, and fair prices. My server was very prompt, attentive, and friendly. The outdoor patio seating is nice with shaded tables and fun people-watching. I appreciate the two varieties of gluten free bread to select from, rendering the majority of the menu gluten-friendly! The food was quite good and portions were substantial. I had the chicken salad on a glutwn free brioche bun, which was all very tasty and came out to me quickly. I respected the wine list; while small, it represented a decent variety and elected to avoid (thankfully) the mass produced brands such as Yellowtail, Barefoot, etc.

I had went to this place not to long ago and the only servers seem to be management when I asked to talk to a manager. My food was cold and my steak wasn’t cooked correctly. I asked for steak sauce 3 times before receiving it. I had to repeatedly ask for my husband and I to have our bud lights refilled. The company should really hire new staff and make it where management should actually be able to help us paying customers with our meal instead of being to busy trying to make money. Do not come here unless you want l cold food and rude management new staff and management is most necessary .

What a great place! Great food and excellent service. Swamp cheese appetizer is the BOMB! Put that stuff on everything we ordered and it was DELISH!

Went in there for a couple drinks thinking I couldnt eat anything, to my surprise they had a full gluten free menu! Jordie (hope thats how ya spell it) was amazing !

Meh. Waited a long time for drinks and about 30 minutes for food. They got two out of the three orders wrong but the burger was pretty good.

The nachos were amazing. Other than that, the bar fare was strictly average. I had a Reuben. It was meh. The cole slaw I could make it better by far. Tried a bite of my daughters cheese steak. Very average. So maybe a good place to go drink (Im a teetotaler) but the food is very average. Heres the biggest problem: They werent very busy at all. It took over an hour to get our food and my colleagues order was wrong. (He said no onions or peppers). Also, we ordered after 4:00. No baked potatoes. The menu says baked potatoes available after 4. Chef didnt bother to cook them. What an easy problem to avoid. I regret bringing out of town guests there and altogether we spent 160$for average food, with products out of stock, and horrendous slow service. I wont be going back, thats for sure. This is one to avoid in olde town Winchester.

My teenage daughter and I stopped in Brewbakers on a recent weekend trip to Winchester. The server was very pleasant and helpful, helping us pick vegetarian friendly appetizers. We went with the soft pretzel sticks and nachos with no meat & extra beans & corn. So good! Well definitely eat here again next time were in town!

Food is great! They have many gluten free options. I had a gf pasta meal and then gf carrot cake for dessert....it was yummy! Hubby said his meal was great. Weve eaten here previous trips to Winchester and have always been happy with our meals. Staff is really nice and friendly.

Food quality used to be a lot better. In recent times it seems like new owners or something changed. Not the Brewbakers of 10-15 years ago

This restaurant is amazing. The staff is awesome the food is great, you can bring your dog and they will give it treats and water. All around great atmosphere, the place to be at while in downtown Winchester.

Food is prepared with no gloves, found a bandage in my nachos management seemed to say that didn’t come from here but that bandage was cooked into the food. Management and staff aren’t pleasant. Don’t recommend at all

Pup friendly pub! We had our fur babies with us for a long road trip and didn’t want to leave them in the car even though it was cool out. The staff was super sweet and brought them their own water dish while they laid down next to our table. They got to people watch as the wife and I had a nice dinner with the kids. The food was nicely prepared, arrived correctly, and the menu and drink selection was perfect for us as well as the kids! The outdoor seating area is great! We will likely add it as a regular stop on our annual road trip!

Great food and super friendly staff. We visited from out of state once and loved it so much that we came back a month later. Both visits were consistent and the staff remembered our drinks when we returned. It is our favorite go-to spot in Winchester.

The food was delicious. The portions were perfect. The service was slow. It took forever to get seated and to be waited on and then to even place our order. We sat for 5-8 minutes before the waitress came to greet us. It took longer in between drinks and placing our order. They weren’t that busy at 1:30-2 in the afternoon. We had 8 and a high chair. The hostess says they have a high top available. I said does your high chairs reach the high top (knowing it didn’t and wanting a different table) she said I can put two together to make it taller. Really?! I said you don’t have any other tables? No. Literally tables open all over. You may be trying to keep all in one area but if you’re trying to accommodate a large party shouldn’t you, I don’t know..accommodate us. Prices were reasonable.

My kids have been here a few times... This was my first. We had an early dinner with a bunch of kids. Im really happy with the food, and the service. The atmosphere was comfortable and friendly. I had their fish and chips, and it was fantastic. My daughter and her new husband had the steak, calling it What I always get!. So I guess its consistently good. My younger kids got burgers, and the bites I stole from them were very tasty indeed. While it wasnt the cheapest place... Its still worth the money. Im sure we will be back soon.

This is one of my favorites. I love the venue. I love sitting outside in the warm weather. Cold beer, swamp cheese, a cheeseburger and good company make for a great evening.

Food is just ok. A little pricey.

Food was okay. I had the adult Mac-n-cheese. I asked for jerk chicken and got pork. It was okay. A little dry, too. She got penne a la vodka. It was also just okay. We got a happy hour bottle of wine for $12, which was a good price. The best thing about this meal was the hush puppies which were crispy outside and warm and tasty inside. Service was good.

Stopped here during a recent road trip with my wife for lunch. The food was great and was very reasonable. The server was a guy named Dennis and at the very least, he deserves a raise. He gave excellent service while taking care of numerous tables. Very enjoyable stop

So first time i ever actually ate here. Went with family and everyone was impressed. I personally got the salmon, which was great. The jerk sauce was sweet and tangy and the salmon itself grilled to perfection

3 of us had fish and chips on a snowy Saturday night. Restaurant was nearly empty and the waitress seemed disinterested at best. Fish and chips came directly out of the box and not sure if the plates were hot from the lights or microwave. My wifes salmon was edible but the baked potato was cold which says all you need to know. 2 glasses of wine each for my wife and I, 2 dinners, $65. I dont think so.

Food was good, but my husband found a long hair in his salad and they seated us next to a loud party of has been football players trying to relive their younger days. We couldnt even have a conversation at our table without yelling. That party should have been separate from the rest of the diners.

For 25 years, this restaurant has been one of my favorites, but not tonight. The clientele hanging out there were loud, obnoxious and rude. There was a table of men there that were rude to the waitress and other customers. I am not a prude in the least, but they were throwing around the f bomb in a family atmosphere at a time of day when children were present. I might feel differently if it had been 9 pm, but not 6 pm. As a business owner, I realize we have to take business where we can get it during this craziness. And it certainly isnt the owners fault those gentlemen were anything but..... Sometimes you have to let customers know they are offensive.

To be explained as an American Tavern is the absolute best description. Definitely the best Char-grilled food Ive had in this area. Good place for business meetings or personal life. Bar has decently priced drinks and the environment is perfect.

I have been several times, but I just discovered the Guiness stew. Absolutely fantastic. Great service as always. Many beers on tap.

The service is good enough and most of the wait staff have been there for a while and know the menu and what can be done, they are friendly and capable.Dont expect much in the way of anything beyond what you would expect at any basic pub, but at least the service is nice and the place is clean.Great outdoor area if the weather is nice and ample seating.

I went here to have a drink and hear some music during the Irish festival. It was packed but it seems like it would be a very nice place to have dinner when its not so busy.

Extremely slow service. Appetizers and food delivered (basically together) after 40 min wait. Servers were all rushed, curt, and fake pleasant. Burger ordered medium delivered well done. Just not a good experience. This was a Sunday at 1pm ish and the place was not busy.

They have a DJ every Friday night, and hes awesome! This is a great place to have some drinks and dance on a Friday night. They have very good food as well. I highly recommend one of their burgers or the swamp cheese.

Over 40 crowd .. this one can be tricky on weekends. The DJ pulls in a ton of college kids. The bands vary in genre so its dice roll. However the outside option for lunch / dinner is awesome and the food is really good! The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I always ask for Maggie!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Winchester. Whether I sit at the bar or in the dining room, I always get prompt and friendly service. I love their swamp cheese dip and their taco salad. Ive never had a bad meal here and always look forward to my next visit!

Family and friends gathered for a celebration of life of my brother Ted. The warm and intimate setting made the event perfect. Management and staff were great at seeing that all of our requests were met.

Used to be a great downtown restaurant, now its just a good one. They dropped off a bit this year but seem to have turned their quality of food around. Menu changes were not an upgrade, but Ive had a few solid good meals in a row over this month.

Food was no good at all. Have to send back Mac and cheese and order a burger. Mac and cheese was dry with almost no cheese and crisp chicken. There are supposed to be butter crackers on the Mac and cheese ( it said in the menu) but there wasnt on mine.Burger came out super dry, no sause, meet over coocked. I can cook at home better. Very disappointed that I have to paid for this and find food somewhere else. I didnt finish my burger, it was very hard to swallow.Another guests were getting compliments from the restaurant, our waiter didnt bring any. It isnt very important but another disappointment to the whole anniversary dinner we had.
