My parents moved from Leland to Durham for a year so my dad could undergo a lung transplant and receive follow-up care. He was hospitalized and suffered from cognitive decline related to the surgery. By mistake, he paid for Spectrum service in both locations. During an entire year, they were charged $2,500 for a service in Leland no one was using. After they moved back to Leland on June 24, I discovered the error and contacted Spectrum on July 1. Zero sympathy from the company: they stated (correctly) that my dad had been receiving email notifications the entire time and they would not reimburse for it. Fine. During the same call, I made sure to confirm that the Durham account was closed and my parents had only ONE account. Yes. My stepmother returned the Durham equipment via UPS a week later. Fast forward two months – my parents were still being billed (two bills, $380) for the Durham account! I called the company and they initially refused to reimburse for either bill, claiming the Durham account was not actually closed until Aug 18. Spoke to a supervisor. He agreed to credit the second bill, but would not credit or pro-rate for the first bill (for 23 days of unused service), claiming Spectrum does not pro-rate. If there is a more parsimonious company out there, I am unaware... ZERO sympathy for seniors or basic logic / fairness.

The rates are through the roof, hundreds of drug company commercials and many shows that are not for children these days. I miss the good ole days of good natured tv appropriate for all ages. The internet is good and I have two land lines that are clear

This company is among the most incompetent group of employees I have yet to encounter. I cannot get any help. I remained on hold today for 33 minutes and 34 seconds waiting for customer retention. They tier the pricing discounts the longer you remain with the company as a customer. The best discount is when you first sign up, then it gets less the longer you subscribe. The billing department only offered to remove services rather than find another solution. I called again and finally got someone to send me to customer retention, but then I was on hold for 33+ minutes. I finally hung up, which Im sure thats what they were hoping for. Ill keep calling until its resolved.

What a dumpster fire of a company. We used them in Carolina Beach, NC simply because there was no other option for internet service. We sold the unit and the disconnection process has been painful. Wish I could give them less than one star. Glad to finally be free of their antics and ineptitude.

Be prepared to wait 30 minutes, 10 for the first rep and I’m currently still waiting at 25 minutes on hold. Service is horrible. If I could go back in time and find a different way to get internet I would. Wish I could be refunded for the last 12 months because of the terrible service, terrible internet, and terrible prices.

They raised the price $20 one month recently. I could not get them by phone to find out what was going on. When In finally got them, they said my payment was late. But, she did give me $10 off saying now I was a Spectrum customer and before I was a Spectrum-Time Warner customer. So that dropped the bill from $20 more to $10 more. When I said I hoped she got another job, she said she loved her job and got paid well. I guess. My $20 raise in price was footing her salary, I guess. Then I called again a month later and, when I asked that person why they raised the rate without letting me know, she said it was written somewhere on the bill the month before. Really? Somewhere there. Who knows? I did not see it. I guess the lines were busy that month because so many people were complaining about the raised rate. When I figure out how to get internet without them, I surely will give up this Spectrum disaster. I dont even have TV channels, just internet. What a robbery this is. $70 a month. Internet only.

Hate this company. I have been a loyal customer for many years and recently received a letter saying that my promotion is over which gave them the excuse to raise my bill $20. Wierd that this promotion ended after years. Gonnz ditch them. You suck Spectrum.

They refuse to give full credit for the entire time we have been without our cable, internet and phone services due to hurricane Florence. But they were very quick to point out that Im late with my payment for this month (by 3 days). They know there isnt another provider offering the same services in one package in Wilmington, NC

Horrible customer service and tells you wrong information. Also, too high for not getting good internet. I would go without internet before ever giving spectrum anymore of my money. This is exactly why we canceled and went with another company. When we canceled, we were told we didn’t have to bring Modem back and then we get a bill in the mail saying we owned them 59 dollars. Called to see what it was about and come to find out they charged us for the modem. I proceeded to tell the lady who acted like she didn’t care that we were told we didn’t have to. She said it seem like I just wanted to continue to argue the subject. That wasn’t what I was trying to do, I clearly was stating your company misinformed us and that y’all needed to work on it. It’s company’s like this that makes people excited to find other companies with not only better internet but customer service.

I had a mixed experience with this Company since the turnover from Time Warner. So far the rates I’ve notice increased but they been trying to work with me to keep me at a reasonable price. When I moved the technician didn’t show up twice however recently I needed additional service in my home due to me working from home.The guy who came out his name is Joseph ID 2973 he wasn’t honestly friendly I can tell he was very annoyed and was extremely rude towards the end. I felt like he could of handled himself in a more friendly and professional way.Spectrum did great service of making sure someone was actually out here on the same day this time just need to be careful on who they’re hiring to do professional work. I honestly do hope that other services will come to Wilmington soon.

This is the worse company ever the customer service experience was terrible definitely the worse I have ever experienced in my life I will never recommend this company to anyone the supervisors disconnect calls on customers the agents over talk and do not listen to what the issue is and they constantly have you repeat yourself because they are confused after you explain the entire issue... This company should not be in business. I am happy I left.

Have you ever woke up and had a huge craving for some food only to finally decide on Chic-Fil-A? Then you get up, get dressed and drive there after convincing your wife to have that for breakfast only to find that its Sunday and they arent open. That is exactly the disappointing feeling you get from Spectrum.

Internet service sucks, so does customer service, and they charge too much. Not to mention they have a monopoly on the market now and I thought that was illegal. They buy out Time Warner, then up my bill, then I can’t get spectrum’s new customer rate because apparently am I spectrum customer already, in the same breath they tell me I’m a Time Warner customer when I ask why I’m not getting the 100 speed like all the spectrum customers.

Horrible business practices. They charge $28 if your credit card is declined. Someone got my CC info, so I changed my card number. When my auto payment was declined they tacked on an extra $28 to my bill for a declined card. Really!?! I don’t pay you enough every month that you have to charge me more when someone steals my info and I have to correct it!?! That is like go to McDonalds, get a cheeseburger, then when your card is declined they charge you $29 for your $1 cheeseburger. Terrible business ethics.

It is incredibly frustrating that Spectrum is the only service provider for this area. We constantly deal with our internet being slow and cutting out on a daily basis even though we have the highest connection and equipment possible. Every time we try to call customer service, we are put in a call queue, and miraculously the call is disconnected EVERY SINGLE TIME as it attempts to connect us to a representative. We pay HUNDREDS for this kind of useless service. Hate Spectrum.

Every other day all of my services are cut off for at least 2 to 3 hours due to routine maintenance. They cant even do it in the middle of the night when ppl are sleeping they do it first thing in the am when u are trying to drink your coffee and get caught up with the news I dont believe they should get one star but it wont let me write nothing unless I give them one
