Worked with them for 5 months. Horrible experience. Minus three questions every dental specific CPA asks, they were prepared for nothing more. We provided them info on how to get us deductions. Sometimes we had to provide them the same info multiple times because they kept losing/forgetting the information. We asked to speak to Adam Shay directly due to our concern with the ability of our individual contact. He was bothered and had no defense for his quality assurance. Instead of providing alternatives he pretty much said.... well nothing. Pathetic and embarrassing on their part. Find someone competent who actually cares!

I fully do research before making any decisions and while looking for a good CPA in the area Adam Shay office came up a few times. It had great reviews so I scheduled an appointment with them. Come to find out the reality was nothing like the reviews and they should have a zero star. They do not care about small businesses. I had Chris Massey and he is consistently 30 minutes late to every appointment. He lies as he said he was going to get us a tax projection but needed everything from personal income and business income from the prior year. After spending an entire day and nearly 500 pages of income and expense related documents I delivered that to him. The secretary called me and left a voicemail to schedule an appointment saying he was ready to review everything. I tried multiple times to call back and left many voicemails and no callback. Weeks later the secretary emails me and gives the specific date that she called and said I left you a voicemail this date to schedule an appointment if you dont mind scheduling an appointment to review with Chris. I let her know I tried calling back many times and left many voicemails and never received a call back she said she was sorry and gave me a link to schedule an appointment. The link she gave me was for a new client and forced me to fill in all of my information about myself again before I could even schedule a follow-up appointment. Finally, weeks have gone by and we have our appointment and are curious about our tax projection. Chris shows up late to the meeting then shows us a very short power point that basically has quotes. $1050 for them to file our taxes, $2100 for them to file our taxes and give a tax projection for the next year, and $2400 for them to file our taxes, give us a tax projection while assisting with tax planning. He gave me a lot of fluff about the $1050 that we are paying for good communication (which hasnt happened up to this point) and some other gibberish. Then we ask about the project and he says we will have to pay for it which would be the $2100 option. We said we would think about it and left the appointment, so Chris said he would email us everything we have talked about. Almost a week later we have received nothing. This was a very bad experience for a place with such great reviews and I am completely unhappy.

Adam and his team, specifically Meridith Belcher, have handled my taxes for 8 years now and each year the experience has progressively improved. From their communication, to the technology they have implemented, to the knowledge they display, to the way they explain to me (very much the layman when it comes to taxes) every single item on my returns, every aspect of the service I have received has gotten better. Not to mention the follow ups throughout each year as well as planning advice for the future.As far as discernible results go, in the 3 years previous to starting with Adam, I used H&R Block (I have an LLC so my taxes arent exactly straight forward). Adam and Meridith found several deductions instantly that H&R Block had missed for years resulting in bottom line results. They displayed intimate knowledge of the tax laws that applied directly to me, my business, and my tax liabilities. Oh, and not to mention, their service was a lot cheaper than H&R Block. Not that my experiences with H&R Block were unpleasant (all of the people I dealt with there were very personable and courteous), but they just lacked the ability to produce concrete results.If youre looking for a local, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and professional group who will provide you with the best service possible, look no further. I recommend working with either Adam or Meridith directly.

Adam was very quick to return my phone calls even though it was my fault we were engaged in several days of phone tag. Adam was very knowledgeable about small business accounting and he answered my questions concisely.
